The most honest trustworthy place in San Diego and probably in the nation, I would hand them My car keys and a blank check in a heartbeat. My car is an old 2006 VW, I had a problem with the cooling system which triggered the check engine light. The estimate was $850, the owner told me that my car was safe to drive, just an electronic problem that didnt really need to be fixed and he sure was right, 12 month later my car still going strong. Any other place would have pressured me into fixing the check engine light! A friend of mine had the car shaking when she was driving, other places came up with crazy estimates, PB foreign just changed her rotors and brakes and the car has been running like a champ for 6 month. One of my other car was left outside overnight so they could fix it in the morning, unfortunately it got a little dent on the rear door when I picked it up; the owner George told me to get an estimate and that he would take care of it, and sure enough, he is an old timer and a man of his words, he did take care of it within 24 HOURS!! Best company ever, I will never go anywhere else in San Diego; they know cars like the back of their hands, they fix it right the first time, and they fix only what needs to be fixed.. I wish them a prosperous business full of happy customers like myself.. thanks again for your help.

I loved them. They repaired my car diligently and the cost was very reasonable for the service. The staff is incredibly nice and very reliable. They even let me keep my car an extra couple days to avoid the side sweeping ruckus! Ill be using them for all my auto repairs!!

AVOID at all costs unless you have deep pockets and know nothing about cars...I needed a starter replaced and I did not have my tools so I decided to use a mechanic for this easy job. They charged me $400 on what really was a 15 minute job and an eighty-dollar part. Then, they told me it was going to cost me $400 to replace a belt tensioner which is basically a $60 part and a 20-minute job. I had already checked the belt tensioner I knew it was fine just needed to replace the belt.Whats worse and almost criminal is they did not connect my battery cable correctly, and I drove my car to the mountains where I almost drove off a cliff because the car lost all power because the battery cable was not correctly connected.I came within 30 feet of a 200-foot cliff almost killed my whole family.I tightened down the cable on the battery and I was on my way.

Porsche Cayman - my car was overheating so I had my car towed to PB Foreign and Domestic Car Repair. The team was able to repair my car ( I needed a new radiator and water pump) and they gave me very fair pricing. I will definitely come back for my preventitive maintenance.

TL;DR; Amazing service, amazing prices, honest mechanics. Really impressed.I brought my car in thinking I just needed my tie rods replaced and was quoted a really good price. He also said he would check my engine lights for free which is $100 at a lot of other shops. When they inspected the vehicle they found the entire steering rack was broken and called me saying it would be a waste of money to replace the tie rods. They didnt charge me anything even when i offered. Amazing service from George at amazing prices. This car is mechanically totaled but i will definitely be bringing my future cars here.

As a twenty something that knows literally nothing about cars, I get swindled pretty easily. I have never felt swindled at PB Foreign & Domestic, quite the contrary actually; I feel that Aaron goes out of his way to make sure his customers fully understand the time, cost, labor, etc. that goes into each repair. He will never do any work without your full permission. There are no hidden fees or prices, everything is very clear and up front. I would recommend this place to anyone. These guys deserve all the positive reviews they get, because they are the best.After a recommendation by a friend who lived in PB, I first met George (and later Aaron) when I was looking for a mechanic who could briefly check out the (Mystery) Ford I was planning to buy. Ever since that first encounter, he and his mechanics have done every single fix that was ever needed and, importantly, refrained from doing repairs that others told me I needed, but did not actually need.They will give you clear feedback, care for your car, do the repairs quick (mostly within a day, two at most), and are cheaper than most other shops Ive heard about. And there is always time for a friendly chat about other stuff, like our shared Dutch descent.Throughout the years, I have recommended them to all my friends and colleagues who ever needed a repair and every single one of them was very happy with their service.Well be moving away from San Diego within a couple of weeks, and I can only hope that well find a shop that is as great and honest as this one.See ya George.

Stacey is borderline OCD regarding customer service, so youll get regular updates on your repair job and maybe even a free lesson or two on the mechanics of what your job entails (diagrams included). The real kicker here though is the cost. This place really is as affordable as people say it is. As a small business owner he relies on word-of-mouth and repeat business, so Im happy to recommend this place.

Great, honest, and affordable business. Ive been taking my Honda Civic and BMW M3 to PB Foreign and Domestic for years and will never go anywhere else. From tune-ups to engine work this place has always taken care of me and many of my friends. Aaron and his dad George run the place and they are both very straight shooters. Its hard to find a good mechanic that you trust, which is exactly what both of them are.

Wow!!! I brought my car in to have it checked after the Hyundai Dealership in Kearny Mesa estimated over $1,000 in urgent repairs. Because of prior bad experience with a different dealership, I preferred to have a local mechanic take a look at it. And I came to Pacific Beach Foreign ans Domestic Car Repair.This is a family run business and both the dad and the son are very nice people, honest and patient. After the mechanic checked my car, he said he could not find anything wrong with it. The timing belt the Dealership claimed was cracking, its actually in perfect condition and it might start deteriorating in 30,000 miles.If your car needs attention, you have to bring it to PB Foreign and Domestic Car Repair!

Took my BMW here for service, They took me in right away wrote up an estimate which was more reasonable than any other shop ive taken it too. Both my wife and I have BMWs and whenever we need a tune up/fix I always take them to PB Foreign. I couldnt be more happy to have found a mechanic that specializes in foreign automobiles so close to where I live. Compared to what the dealership charges, PB Foreign is 10 times cheaper. The staff is very friendly and they always have my car ready to go on the day and time they said it would be ready.

Wow! Just got off the phone with PB F&D Auto Repair and I feel tears of joy from just having a short conversation with someone about my lil 03 MCS! Clearly they know their stuff and I am feeling more than comfortable taking my lil car to get repaired! THANK YOU!

Went in for a minor repair. Told the guy the problem, filled out the basic estimate invoice, he wrote $80 at the bottom. I assumed it was a free estimate, and I asked if I chose not to have the repair would I have to pay the $80. He in a rude manner said since you werent listening Ill explain it again. Told him no thanks, he then yelled at me and as I was walking away and threw out the F you, get the **** out of here. I cant recall ever being treated so rudely so unexpectedly. There are lots of places to get your car fixed in PB, I cant speak for their work but you will be giving your money to bad people.

The owner Aaron was super nice, honest and didnt overcharge me; I thought I needed a full brake job and instead he said I was ok, fixed the light in my dashboard and the muffler for free. I would recommend them to anyone and will keep going there.

I have been an owner operator of a auto repair shop foreign and demestic cars for over 35 years in the East My 85 year old mother was just in there for spark plug and PVC change about $20. in parts and One hour labor i talked to them myself and told them to do just that only, when she picked up the car they charged her $1,100.00 us dollars the average shop charges 189.00 for this job parts and labor. They told her it needed 6 coil packs at $100.00 each, total fraud I know all about coil packs the voltage they make and what makes them go bad all cars from around 1995 and up have a coil pack for each cylinder incase one goes bad you can still drive the car with a miss on just that one cylinder no chance in the world more than one went bad let alone all 6. Ebay sells them for $15 each new, Im sure you could find someone much more honest on Craigs List to fix anything on your car, Thanks for reading....PS Maybe somone should make a video of a 5 year old doing this repair and put it on youtube
