We asked Solo Appliance Repair to come out and repair a built-in Frigidaire that wasnt cooling optimally. Again, it was working fine, just not optimally. They came out the same day, which was nice, but they only recommended condenser maintenance, which was essentially the cleaning of the mechanism, which we immediately agreed to. Note that they did leave a big mess. They did state no warranty for maintenance; however, we woke up to a completely non-functioning refrigerator the following day.We lost all of our food and frozen items, which was well over $1,000 to replace; maybe more when you factor in the locally caught Blue Fin.We immediately reached out first thing in the morning, and they dragged their feet in getting back to us all day, despite repeated outreach on our part. They then followed up and said that they could send a technician out in three days. This is not acceptable for a family, one of which was heading into surgery. We reached out to their team over six times and asked for a refund after hunting down a new refrigerator amid Covid supply chain nightmares; there are very few out there, and we ended having to buy a $4,000 unit.It is now four days later and they are continuing to argue with us about refunding the $290.00.We are now out of pocket on all of the food, the new refrigerator, the $290.00, and the time wasted asking them to refund our money. We didnt even ask for Solo Appliance Repair to replace the food.HORRIBLE SERVICE. I would not ever recommend them and share this recommendation with friends, family, neighborhood, colleagues, and Nextdoor.

Lets start with the good.Communication with the office was exceptional.Technician was on time and professional. Technician wore a mask while in my home.Now the really bad.The technician diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes and was able to remedy the problem and got washer up and running in 15 minutes after diagnosing the problem. Unfortunately he was able to remedy by bypassing the safety issue of the washer not stopping when lid is lifted. He replaced no parts so I was not charged for parts. . He was here for 20 minute so labor should have been minimum. I was charged $200.00. Yes $200.00 for 20 minutes so it works out to a $600.00 an hour service call.I reached out to office today to ask for an explanation and I was told the technician has 10 years experience and it doesnt matter if he fixed it in 20 minutes or an hour the price would have been the same.Very disappointed.I will not be using solo any more and would not recommend them.

Found this company on a Google search for same day repair and was delighted when their technician, Elijah, not only showed up early but repaired our dryer in very little time. If you need fast, efficient, and professional service, look no further. 👍🏽👍🏽

I used Yelp to request a quote for service call availability and heard back within 5 minutes from Solo plus they offered to come that same evening! Three other other “recommended” places I called at 3pm didn’t even answer the phone! I didn’t need them that soon, but they came the next day, gave great service and had it all fixed up exactly when they said they would. Prompt service and follow-up was great— and of course fixed the washer problem! Super nice & professional too.

Used them by recommendation of my friend here in San Diego. They were very sufficient and professional. After around 30 minutes diagnosis they told me which part needs to be replaced and it was taken care of in a matter of 1 hour, no puff around. Great guys ☺️

The promptness, professionalism and transparency was top notch! I am extremely happy with their service in fixing my dishwasher. After their diagnosis (they were at my place within a few hours of me contacting them) was honest and they suggested perhaps considering getting a new one once they laid out the cost involved in fixing/parts. Everything went smoothly. Got the heads up that the tech was on the way, and when he arrived 20 minutes later, he diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher and then fixed it, all within about 30 minutes.Couldnt ask for better.

I received a prompt callback so booked with them. I nearly canceled after seeing some of their negative reviews but kept the appointment and it turned out to be great. Their tech fixed the issues with all four of our Fisher Paykel dishwashers, and everything is working great now.

I chose these guys because of the great reviews and I wasnt disappointed. My washer/dryer would not drain and spin on Sunday morning. I was able to make an online appointment for the next day. Sure enough, the next day, they came with the parts in hand. They knew what was wrong just by the description I gave them online. It only took them 15 minutes to fix the problem. Very honest and good guys. I will use them again.

So these 5 star reviews are fake! I found them on Craigslist and they had a promo for $30 diagnosis fee. The technician came out and said he fixed my washing machine. Just tightened some screws. I paid $30 plus gave him a tip!! As soon as I started the washing machine it still was making the loud clanking noise during the spin cycle. I contacted them and the woman DONNA, said her technician told me that the levers needed to be replaced which was a complete lie! I then asked how much it would cost she called me back and said that it would cost $500 and that I should buy a new washing machine. I have a basic General Electric washing machine. These people are frauds and please do not give them your money!!!

Very bad service. Charged me almost $500 to get my washer fixed and supposedly gave me 1 yr warranty. Washer breaks down in less than a week and then they say i should jus buy a new washer. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Good reviews are mostly written by them!

Terrible appliance service! One star! Don’t use them!They came out to repair both of our GE ovens and charged us $258 and neither one worked right after they left. They have said that they were going’s to bring more parts and now weeks later they still have not fixed either one. This is very frustrating and time consuming not to mention a very bad service experience.

Hello, Anthony fixed the ice maker on our Kitchen Aide refrigerator. He was at my house within 24-hours of my service request, he knew exactly what was wrong, and fixed it within a half hour. He knows what hes doing and is very professional. I highly recommend him and will call him again next time I have an appliance problem.
