1-800-APPLIANCE was recommended by Kitchen Aid to fix our under-counter ice maker. After the initial appointment and repair visit, their technician said he had determined the problem, provided an estimate (which we approved) and ordered the parts. After coming back to install to install the new parts, we had paid in full. The ice maker STILL didnt work. They returned to retrieve the ice maker to take it back to their shop to make some more repairs. They returned the ice maker and it STILL DIDNT WORK. The technician said they needed to order more parts, but an estimate was never given. The technician returned to install the parts they had ordered and the ice maker STILL DIDNT WORK.6 months later (today), I received a notice from a collection agency for the amount of $526.59 + $24.42 in interest for a total of $581.01. 1-800-APPLIANCE never provided an estimate for the second round of charges. Never mailed a final invoice. Never gave me a phone call about a past due amount.
This was supposed to be a simple warranty repair. After rescheduling 3 times, Appliance Rescue showed up to replace the compressor. Sadly the unit still does not cool. Appliance Rescue has now rescheduled us out to Sept 3 (after two more reschedules) to come out to assess why the refrigerator does not work yet. If not for being tied to the manufacturers warranty, I would never use this company.
I called this company out to come and fix my dryer it needed to be hooked up correctly the technician told me he could not do that because of the location of my dryer I needed to completely relocate where my washer and dryer were setting which they have been sitting there for 60+ years. No help at all I will never call back.
If I could give negative stars. I would after dealing with a technician Xavier. After having difficulty locating a technician that could help with our washing machine problem we went to the Maytag website and were referred to this company. Dealing with this company has been the worst experience EVER due to the worst customer service experience I have ever had! After 2 trips and $400 later to repair a 2 year old washing machine, we were told we need to call a plumber leading us to believe that we perhaps did not need the washer repair to begin with. The machine was was still not functioning correctly, so we called the company again. During a discussion with Xavier on the phone, he hung up on us and disconnected the call! Interesting approach to customer service. To their credit, I spoke with the manager Anthony who was very helpful and courteous. My advise, save yourself the aggravation and trouble and do not call this company for any of your servicing needs.
Worst contractor ever dealt with, technician named DAMIAN made 4 visits and still could not repair same issue with washer. Asking electrician questions! I finally said I am not an electrician he grabbed his tool bag and left without repairing washer, needless to say his behavior was completely rude and unprofessional. Contacted his supervisor by the name of ANTHONY who turned out to be the carbon copy of the so called technician.ANTHONY clearly chooses favorite employees and cover up and make excuses for the poor work, unprofessional and rudeness of their incompetent favorites.
The repair was fine, relatively simple. The backend of their business is awful. Poor communication, terrible billing. I will not use them again due to frustrations with closing out this transaction.
Update - Management responded, appoligized and offered a refund for the mistake.SCAM. Con artists. Do not trustThese guys told me I had near 600 dollars worth of repairs in parts and labor on my Maytag washing machine, they told me my gear case, wash plate, etc was broken, all lies.The only problem was a loose screw on the agitator, everything else was fine. Do NOT trust anything these con artists say.
After purchasing a new Refrigerator from a major retailer, it had started to malfunction. I contacted the manufacturer and I submitted a claim. Shortly after I received an email from 1-800 Appliance Repairs. After an appointment date and time was set, Joel S. #816 arrived on time.Joel was extremely professional and courteous. He repaired our refrigerator and explained everything he did. Joel was very clean and did not leave any trace that he was in our home. He wore a mask and had provided great customer service.I am extremely satisfied with the level professionalism and the quick service. I will definitely recommend 1-800 Appliance to friends and family and if I need their services again I am requesting Joel S. again.
Quick service and great communication. Took the time to explain my diagnosis and got the part ordered and got me back on the schedule from my kitchen. Unit is working great now. You have a customer for life!
Worst company ever. They tried to charge me $300 for a $27 fuse. I had to pay $115 just for them to come out and tell me that. Repair person didnt come prepared to fix anything. No parts in his truck.
This was worst customer service Ive ever had. Scratched my brand new dishwasher and then then wasnt even leveled it was tilted. Did not have any communication what so ever with technician about the problem of the dishwasher and what he did to fix it. Consumers beware. I will be giving another call to a supervisor!!!!!!!!!#!!!!!
Poor communication between tech and company, Our tech came to our home three different times to do a repair that should of been done in 45 minutes.

We became familiar with 1800Appliance when we began having problems with our $4000.00 Kitchenaid fridge. In a bitter sweet twist, we have had their extremely comprehensive technicians out to our house 8 or so times over the past 18 months.Not happy with out lemon fridge, EXTREMELY HAPPY with 1800Appliance, especially Tim!! Yall keep saving us! THANK YOU!!!
