I didnt go to Pep Boys. I went to the Low Cost pet shots trailer in the Pep Boys parking lot. Very quick and easy. Got all four yearly shots for $59 plus a month worth of flea and tick medicine for $20. Total was $79. This was my first time here. His regular vet is too far but they give discounts too -- Pet Shotz across from the zoo.

Had an issue with vehicle, came last weekend, paid for labor and for issues being “resolved”. After the car was done we took it and through out the week felt the exact same shaking and nothing changed. Came back to a very respectful and fast paced man named Joel. He personally checked out the vehicle and was fast on telling me what it was and fixed service. Waited roughly 2 hrs (not bad at ALL.) was glad i was able to come back without having to worry about disrespect because i came back again after my last experience. Definitely recommend. :) (Yes, the service this time around was under warranty because problem was not solved first time i had paid for, which is a life saver!!!!)

I took my CRX for some work, I rate these guys a 10 keep up the great work guys.

All of the visits the men that serve are nice but if I ask them please use plastic dont make my floors or seat dirty the male says ok. I just had my car professionally cleaned. After the service its back dirty my personal mat was pushed around not fully used I was ignored I pay for service its not hard to respect people they may not care to clean their car I do. If I come to get a service quote Friday evening to get another service done and the guy up front says I have to wait until Monday and I have given information that they need why is part of the information missing when I call Monday. Communication needs to be addressed its a business.

My mothers engine was re-built at that location, that was 10+yrs ago, it seems, other than regular maintenance up keep, its still going no issues.

We had an appointment scheduled, and upon arrival, we were told that the workers were out at lunch and wed have to wait longer in order for them to come back. Shouldnt we not be able to schedule an appointment if this is the case? If were able to schedule an appointment online, we should be serviced upon arrival.

The shop is clean. Work is done on time. The only issue i have is before the work was started i asked if my credit card would ne honored. Long story short. It wasnt. Which put me in a bind.

I took two cars to them for repairs, my Nissan and my Chevy. They diagnosed the Chevy right, but only a dealership could do the repairs due to need of programming the TCM. So for the Chevy I would say 5 stars. However my Nissan they said they could get the bearing for the right tire done in 1 day. It was supposed to be done Saturday evening. Saturday it wasnt done, Sunday it wasnt done, Monday i called to check as i told them they had until 3 pm when i got off to get it done. I had needed it done by Sunday. So l called mid day Monday, they said they hadnt even got the part. I got extremely upset and left work early on the bus/taxi combination because it seemed they still were not working on my car as promised. Well they took off a percentage to make up for my trouble. I then drove it home and the tire sounded like something out of a horror movie. My mom called and complained. They said to bring it back, but at this point i was scared. My mom complained and they took it back and discovered it was a plate they left off. They fixed that and now it runs like a dream. So for the Nissan Id say they get a 3 for lateness, and having to fix a mistake after we left. They did fix their mistake and for that Id say they get a 3 for my Nissan, five for my Chevy so a 4 overall.

Visited to get a Emissons test. Surpisingly the staff stated that they do not do emissions tests. If that is the case then please remove the sign from your building that says you do so, and call the state DMV and have you removed from the list of approved locations. Dont believe me, see picture and visit jiffy lube right next door and they will be happy to do one.

Their only saving grace is they were pretty good at getting my car inspected. You never hear them being advertised on the media. They are always out of the way, hard to find.

But that was apparently to close to the sidewall.Well I guess I gotta buy a new tire. 🙄 yeah right. Dont fall for that old hustle folks. Find a reputable shop. That you can trust. I got my tire repair for ten bucks. At a local shop. As apposed to a $200 tire.

We went to have our back tires changed. The guys in the front were very nice. We were told the screws were too hard for them to safely take off.As we check our car before leaving we find the left rear bolts are very loose. One was not even on we had to ask for it and it thread was messed up. We asked for them to be tightened so we could drive elsewhere to have the tires changed.The broke three of the screws!!!Still waiting for a call back from customer service!

I went in for an oil change appointment. All of the staff was extremely courteous, helpful and did an a job of explaining everything to me. They also did an excellent job of getting me in and out in a timely manner. Great job and great atmosphere!!

Recently took my vehicle in for maintenance and wear and tear. I replaced struts and shocks. ( The online coupons offer great discounts.) Got a oil change, alignment, and wheel balance. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. I did notice a slight pull and tapping noise on my tire, but with in the hour inspections were done and issues resolved. The Service Manager Sergio was amazing from start to finish, he made sure I received the up most customer service as well as assuring all my expectations where met, even making sure i had a ride home while my vehicle was being worked on. Not only was I extremely happy with how I was treated, I was happy knowing my vehicle was in good hands as well. My vehicle rides so much better and smoother. Thanks guys!

I have been coming here for 3 yrs for oil changes and new tires. About a year ago I started coming here for maintenance after I was not satisfied with a Goodyear on Austin Hwy (change in management, not for the better). Michael up front is extremely courteous on the phone and in person. Went in today for an oil change, and replaced both air filters and my rear windshield wiper. Not a problem, though it took longer than I would have expected for an oil change. We had an apt for 9:30am and there were only 2 cars on the bay, though others came later.This past July I came in to ask about a screw that was in my tire. I cant remember the guys name but he came out and looked at it, gave me advice, and basically it was better to keep the screw in then get it plugged. Around the same time I came in wanting to get some cleaners so that I could clean my fuel injectors on my own. They were very helpful and gave some free fuel cleaner that apparently is the good stuff that they dont sell, and only mechanics have use for it. I think he gave it to me cause he thought I might hurt my car trying to clean the injectors otherwise, but thats ok.I come in every few months or so with questions and they are very helpful and courteous to me.

They have the best customer service. We went in to buy a car cover and didnt know how to find the right size for our truck and we got excellent help from an employee at the store. Friendly personnel and the store is kept very clean.

Went to get a oil change here because they offer FREE tire rotation plus i wanted to buy tires if mine was bad....i highly doubt they did tire rotation because there is a nail in my nack rt tire threads on front rt tire are slim to none which should be on my back left but they did put air well at least they took off the caps and never put them back on. Id expect better from a company like this or else i would of did the oil change my self....

Pep Boys can’t even do courtesy tire pressure check, I bought 2 tires here last week, the next day I notice my front tires (the ones I didn’t replace) looked too low...I had them checked at Discount Tires and the new tires were very high and the front ones were low... definitely not coming back

I dont come here alot, but when I do, I know the people who work here are gonna take care of me. They do their best to finish quickly and always get the job done right

The men were willing to answer questions when asked but service was ridiculously slow. This was due to them being thorough with the diagnostic test being performed on my fiancés car. It was a 4 hour visit with nothing but waiting with other people who were feeling forgotten like I was. if I had to choose I wouldnt go back to this location. It was too far away to wait 4 hours for service to finish.

Bought tires online had them delivered at this Pep Boys. When they finally finished I drove home and heard one of the tires make a sound like it popped into place. Meaning they balance one of the wheel when the tire wasnt properly seated on the wheel. Drove the next morning on highway and steering wheel and entire vehicle was shaking. There guy didnt balance the wheel correctly. I didnt bother to give them a second chance to correct the work and glad I didnt after I took them to the dealership to balance them the dealership adviser told me and showed me Pep Boys tire tech install the wheel weight in the wrong location. I finally got to test drive my vehicle and the vibration was gone. I lost $70 at Pep Boys for faulty work from their techs and they lost a repeat customer. It seems this problem it is common at other tire shops.

Had an appointment at 9am. Didnt get into the bay until 9:45. At that time I was told that they were not going to do the alignment due to the car being so low the equipment could damage it. 2015 sonata lowered 1.5 inches. They did reccomend southwest alignment. 2 stars for Keurig coffee and friendly staff. Also when they returned my vehicle all my seat settings were changed

Spent over an hour here getting an oil change even though I had an appointment. I also was told upon arrival that my oil change was going to be 91.00 so I told them I would go elsewhere and then they magically said oh wait, we can do it for $49. Overall I would recommend taking this somewhere else where they care a little more about cars

July 2013 .. Outstanding !! Not one issue with this Pep Boys location. This was my third visit to this location. No problems either time. This most recent time, I brought my 08 Tundra 4x4 in for a tune-up and oil change ... they told me how much it would cost and how long it would take. I asked them to check on the battery as well, because it was getting old, they did find the battery was on its last leg so I had it replaced. The whole process took the expected amount of time. Nice, smooth and a professional group of guys there that took extra steps to take care of me and my wonderful Tundra. Thanks again to them ... I will be back!

I had recently had my oil changed at a Pep Boys in Chicago, but for some reason the Oil Maintenance light didnt reset.I called up this Pep Boys and spoke to Chris. He was super helpful and told me to bring my car in straight away to check it out.I brought it in and Chris brought a Toyota specialist over to take a look at it and he had the problem fixed in seconds. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable are the words that come to mind after my experience. Ask for Chris and Michael (Toyota/Lexus Specialist)!

The guys that helped me today were both awesome! Both very professional and kind. I went in for an oil change and to get my rotors turned. Unfortunatly my rotors were to close to spec to grind, but the salesman Daniel did a great job explaining the situation. I didnt feel rushed or pressured into a decision. Ill definitely be back to get them replaced. I unfortunately didnt get the mechanics name but he was also nice, and did my oil change and brake inspection in a quick and timly manner.

Im sure the guys there work as hard as they can but its very frustrating when youre trying to ask somebody information about your vehicle and they are mechanically clueless or do not have the customer service skills to answer questions clearly about the operation of your vehicle. If they cant take the time to patiently educate customer about the services that they perform on your vehicle then perhaps those particular employees should go back to stocking the oil cans instead of answering the phones.

Went to have my car looked at because I thought I had alignment issues. My car made loud noises and shook really bad when I started to pick up speed. The mechanic diagnosed my car and I thought he figured out the issue when he said there was only an abnormality with one of my tires. So he replaced the old Tire with a brand new one and I thought the issue was taken care of. But when I got on the highway the next day and sped up to 65-70 miles an hour I still hear some type of noise coming from the car and it still shakes but not as bad. It would have been nice if someone would have driven the car on the highway to verify there were no more issues. Now I have to take it back too Pep Boys and have the issue diagnosed again hoping they will figure it out the next time.

Took my truck to get my brakes bled after changing my MC, was told they would flush and change the brake fluid. Told still no brakes, and they would need to inspect the whole system, ok I figured I would tinker with it myself later. Re-bled later,, and pulled 12 OUNCES OF OLD BROWN BRAKE FLUID OUT! $80 for nothing!

Had a flat tire and took it to pep boys to get the tire plugged. I was told I had driven on the flat and they couldnt plug it due to safety reasons. This was complete bull because I had pulled over and put on the spare as soon as the tire went flat (less than 1/10th of a mile). I was told It could be replaced for $70 dollars but its a very common tire and anywhere else I can find it brand new for $40-$50. Took the tire down the road to another shop and they plugged the tire no hassle and apon inspection said the tire looked almost new, (which it should being that its only six months old). I know its a business and its their job to try to make money but resorting to bold faced lies is unacceptable. Be smart and take your business elsewhere.

This Pep Boys has always been the more expensive, less knowledgable, less friendly alternative for Autozone on Walzem. Although the service is far inferior, the selection is better. For example, if you want engine parts, go to Autozone. But if you need to hook up your new sound system Pep Boys is probably where you want to spend your money if you are on Walzem. They also carry a large selection of tires and they also service vehicles as well.

I took my vehicle in for an AC diagnostic. The first place I went said the compressor clutch was bad and recommended replacing the complete compressor. I didnt trust the guy so I went to pep boys. First time Ive ever gone there.Their diagnostic said nothing was wrong with the compressor and I made sure to ask. They did say the radiator fan a assembly was out and needed replacement.Total with diagnostic, labor, parts, and system recharge: $1500+.I finally went to the dealer where I bought the vehicle. They did a diagnostic for $139 that included a system flush and recharge. Their final diagnosis: low freon. The recharge took care of that and my AC is blowing ice cold.Total $139They specifically confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with the compressor or fan assembly.Pep boys, Walzem rd, dishonest? Rip off?ZERO stars

Customer service goes above and beyond! They were transparent with pricing, wait times, and even took me into the bay and stood under the car with a flashlight to show me exactly what was going on. I wont go anywhere else in San Antonio

Terrible customer service!! Most of the mechanics are fat and lazy! Needed a simple inspection done on my car and each time I brought it in the mechanics had an excuse for not being able to do it...ended up taking it across the street to Jiffy Lube and they did it right away, no questions asked for $3 cheaper than Pep Boys. Will never return or recommend to ANYONE!

Those pot heads refused my oil change even though I called in 2 weeks ago and scheduled one. The damned moron at the counter told me that they would schedule me for the day after tomorrow, but I am leaving town. Firestone was just up the road and I didnt overhear their technicians bragging about how they passed their drug tests by using fake pee or someone elses pee. Yuck! They were probably all in the back smoking joints anyways, which is probably why they didnt have time to change my oil. Considering the location, I wasnt really shocked. JUST SAY NO!

I bought my tires here because of a sale/rebate they were having, of buying 3 tires and getting the fourth free. I had downloaded the forms, brought them with me, asked about the rebate, and was assured everything was in order. Submitted everything along with the receipt and my rebate claim was denied, because road hazard warranty needed to be on all tires. The specific requirements for the rebate say, All purchases MUST INCLUDE TIRE INSTALLATION PACKAGE, which includes: Road hazard warranty, valve stems or TPMS reseal kits, balancing.So my receipt shows the purchase of 4 tires and the line TIRE INSTALLATION PACKAGE and in fact it has the balancing and the TPMS listed underneath, but the road hazard is not on there. Now, according to the wording of the rebate form, it makes it seem like the TIRE INSTALLATION PACKAGE should include these items. At no time was I asked if I wanted road hazard warranty, nor was I informed that this stores particular tire installation package did not include road hazard warranty. They were well aware that I was there seeking the rebate, and even printed me an extra receipt so I could file for a rebate. So I feel like this was either gross negligence on their part, or at the least gross incompetence, but its cost me an extra 110 dollars.Apparently they cant be trusted either way, and I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

I have had my fuel pump replaced, cv joints, and full tune ups and oil changes, and even fixed my ac, and brakes, its been so much cheaper than the dealer I would recommend this place !! They do a great job !!!
