Disclaimer, I dont frequent San Antonio and I was referred to Razors & Rims by a friend who is very particular about his hair and I also happened to need my car detailed so this was a great fit.I got a haircut, shampoo and shave by Lexi. I must say that I am extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism and the attention to detail with all of the services. She took the time to actually ask what I wanted and how I wanted my hair to look instead of the oh youre military, here you go type attitude that you will get at other barber shops in town. Despite her next appointment coming in and sitting down, she still continued to be focused on my service and I didnt feel she rushed to finish. Excellent haircut, fairly close straight-razor shave, and relaxing shampoo. Enough said ($60).Car services: I had a purchased a new suv for my wife 3 months prior and driven it about 3,500 miles with multiple passengers putting dirty gear in and out of the trunk area etc. Excellent job all around! My 16yr old loves Yani! He feels comfortable with her and loves this atmosphere. Even as my son was trying to figure out what style he wanted, Yani was patient. Weve been going now for over 3 months. I didn’t want to write this review, but after getting the worst haircut in years, I feel like an honest review is fair.The people working here are cool, but friendliness doesn’t make up for amateur work.Tips:1. Face the mirror. My barber faced me away, so I didn’t see the damage until given the hand mirror.2. Provide clear, specific, repeated instructions on the cut you want. I provided photos and guard numbers, but that wasn’t enough to make up for inexperience.3. Consider another place with seasoned professionals. The “cool spot” is great, but if you want a good haircut, cool people aren’t enough.What happened? Simply put, my barber shaved off the entire left side of my head down to a #3, way above the part line, so she didn’t have anything left to fix the cut. The right side blends in and looks totally different. Nothing like the photos I showed.When they can’t fix it because no hair is left to work with, what do you do but get out of there and go somewhere else to try to fix it or let it grow back?That is the experience I had here.P.S.The parking lot is a nightmare.

Seriously amazing haircuts! All of the staff members are friendly and helpful. Haircut prices are fair and they even have a military discount. If you’re planning on getting a haircut, I highly recommend doing it online. Calling for an appointment can be a bit of a struggle, but making an online appointment is quick and easy.

I went here a few weeks ago. The staff was great and loved to chat. Its just a pleasant atmosphere.For a female I have short hair. And although he did a good job cutting my hair, it was 180 from what I wanted. I wanted a low fade, I got a high one. I wanted it mostly scissor cut and hardly anything off the top. When I left my hair was extremely short with a high fade. I wont go back because of that. For guys however, its probably a good place for them.

Kendall is a barber’s barber. Hit him up if you want a fresh fade. He won’t let you down.

Had recently moved back to San Antonio and was looking for a new barber shop and had stumbled upon razors and rims and read lots of great reviews so decided to try it out. I set an appointment with Brian and was given a phenomenal clean haircut and had a great and funny conversation.He’s really skilled at what he does and is a really nice, laidback guy as well! I hadnt gotten a haircut since March 2020 before the pandemic was declared so it was time for my haircut. I couldnt be more satisfied with my haircut. The attendant at the front checked my temperature. I was also happy when the barber asked me to wash my hands before being seated for my haircut.I asked for a number 2 on the sides and indicated the length I wanted cut on top, about 2-3 inches off the top. At the end of the haircut, I realized that I forgot to ask the barber, Sal, to thin out my hair. He said he already thinned it out! Excellent service and if you go once, theyll make you feel like you never have to find another barber again. The haircut ended with a massage.The venue was pristine, organized, and they definitely put a lot of thought into the atmosphere of the barbershop.

I personally visit Rey at least once a week using their monthly haircut subscription. It’s only $60! Any barber you go to in town is going to charge you at least $30 a trip. $60 a month and you can always look fresh! Scheduling is easy and I’ve yet to have to reschedule due to a back up on clients or because Rey was unavailable. The shop is quite different than any you’ve probably seen, on my next visit I plan on getting my car washed as I get my haircut. The staff give a very easy-going experience to anybody that walks in and are quick to offer with assistance and help. If you haven’t already given it a shot it’s well worth the money and time, the cherry on top is the top notch customer service.

My little brother recommended coming to this place today was the second time I’ve gone. Same high quality service. The shop itself is always clean. The workers always friendly and welcoming. They always give a good bye like if you’re part of the family. Sal does a great job is very knowledgeable on his craft. Next time for sure I’m going to have to listen to him and get that part in my hair. Anyways great atmosphere even better company will continue to go.

I went to Yani a couple of weeks ago to get my hair cut. I have biracial hair and not many people can confidently work with my texture. She handled my hair like a pro, didnt use a ton of chemicals, and gave me some awesome product recommendations (I recently cut off 12 inches). The vibe inside was laid back and very comfortable. Definitely recommend Razors and Rims! Especially Yani!

I have used this place many times before and never had an issue. But today I received the worst haircut of my life from tony . Not only did the he forget the kind of hair cut I asked for (mid bald fade), but proceeded to give me a skin fade . On top of that my hair cut is crooked and I have small hairs that remained in random parts of my head.

Was able to get a haircut from Brian and he got me looking right! With everything going on, they had a temperature check when you walk in and you also had to wash your hands. Those two things are great way to keep everyone safe while being able to get a haircut. Everyone was also wearing a mask and following social distancing protocols! Will definitely be going back every time I am in San Antonio, TX!

I really like this place! VERY clean!! Especially during this pandemic. They take temps, wear masks and have you wash your hands right when you go in! As a nurse, I love this! Great Barbershop! Like the concept that you can have your vehicle washed while you are getting a cut, that’s super awesome. Sal cut my hair and did exactly how I wanted it. He was super friendly and very polite it was like I was talking to a good friend. The prices are reasonable can’t beat that. Looks like I found a barbershop and a great barber (Sal) to come back to from now on! If you haven’t tried them out, you should. Great shop with excellent service and talented barbers! I had been looking for a new barbershop after moving to this part of town and after my first visit here, I could already tell Id be coming back regularly. The shop offered me water while I was waiting and they had great music playing the whole time. Sal hooked me up with an awesome haircut after Id gone a while without one because of the quarantine. I also signed up for their awesome membership, unlimited haircuts for $60 a month. Being in the military, I tend to get my haircut every other week so even if I only get it cut twice a month, Im getting my moneys worth. And Sal is a veteran himself so he was a lot of fun to talk to. I definitely recommend this shop for anyone in the area and am looking forward to coming back!

The staff was super friendly greeted me as soon as I walked in. And hey, they even had drinks available which is cool. Saw this place on google and thought Id give it a try. I couldnt be more happy! These guys in here are top of the line when it comes to professionalism. Extremely clean shop that offers you beverages while you wait and even offer car detailing for you while you get your hair which is very fairly priced. The hair cuts are also very fairly priced and extremely worth what your paying for. I went in to get a fade and trim off the top from Ray, I got a razor edge up, hot towel service and head and neck massage all on top of the hair cut!!! Amazing service and hospitality! Heard about this location from a coworker telling me about a place where you can get unlimited cuts for $50/month. I get weekly haircuts, so it seemed worth checking out. Walked in at 11 on a weekday and the owner Andy was there. This barbershop is awesome! So clean, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I’ve been to 5 or 6 different barbers around San Antonio including the chains and this one by far is the cleanliest with the best service. Rey took the time to tell me about all of the services that Razors & Rims offered and was able to connect with me on a personal level. He was passionate about the shop as if it was his own. This place has quickly become my favorite barber shop I have ever visited. I honestly do not have a go to barber because I have been so well taken care of by each new barber I try. The owners are very personable! Thank hey already knew me by name after my second visit. I have recommended this place to so many people already. Sal did an amazing job from start to finish! As I came in he was ready to open the door, great me, and sit me down. The atmosphere in here is great and service is phenomenal! Hands down one of the best barbershops in town. Staff is always friendly. Rey/ Sal are hands down great at what they do and a cold beverage of your choosing makes it nicer. Not to mention I can get my truck detailed while I get my haircut. I’ve been going here since the soft opening and they’ve become like family.

I moved to San Antonio 6 months ago and struggled to find a good barber shop that not only cut hair good but where they took good care of you. The shop is very nice and very clean. Everyone here takes pride in their work and the shop. The monthly membership is the best part as you can get haircuts whenever you want! Unlimited haircuts, free drinks, great customer service, nice and clean environment. What else could you ask for?

The barbers do a great job in cutting your hair, the facility is new and clean and the I think the concept of the business is trendy. The ability to get a hair cut and also have your vehicle detailed is neat. Plus the fact that a number of the staff are veterans I find appealing since Im a veteran myself.

I was looking for a new barbershop and thought i would give it a try with all the good reviews it had. I decided to make an appointment online with a certain barber because of his reviews and i couldn’t find his name which seemed kind of odd. The person who answered the phone was kinda rude and didn’t seem professional, kinda just laughed it off.

Came here to check it out, and was intrigued on the name. Shocked that they detail trucks, even more that they use a great product like chemical guys on the vehicle. My truck looked great along with my cut. The personality’s as well as the customer service keeps me coming back. This is a very family friendly place and not no ghetto hang out where the barber sit in their chairs talking BS. I found my new barber shop to come to, any barber in there is amazing.

I normally dont leave reviews, and I normally dont get haircuts as a guy with long hair. Normally Id just pull it back and be done with it. However, I figured it was time for a lil trim and style! I used to stay away from Barber Shops thinking they couldnt handle long hairstyles, but I stand corrected now! Brian Loston brought his multi-modality A-game! I have recently moved to the area for work and was looking for a good place for a haircut. I found this on Google and decided to give them a try. I really like their customer service and the concept of the shop, hence the 3 stars.However, I would very much appreciate that if they had told me in the beginning that texturized shear cut is not their expertise. I think that the $25 price tag is a bit overpriced for the skill level to make my hair looks like a home bowl cut... bummer...
