I always ask for Rose. She does a great job cutting my hair and my sons hair. She can do a great fade. She also does well with my youngest, hes 2.

The worst customer service and business management I have ever experienced.Verbally assaulted and threatened by owner and employee, when asked to fix a hair cut on my child.I had to remove my children from the store and stand in between the employees and the door, all the while being threatened. We have been clients for years and this is not the first time I have seen the owner Julia be inappropriate. I would NOT take your children here. EVER.

Julias is an excellent barbershop. All the ladies do an outstanding job, so you cant go wrong with any of them. Great to have a local place so clean and professional. Prices reasonable for the quality of cut. Thanks, ladies!

Went in for a regular haircut and as I was paying I grabbed a pen that had sanitizer running down and stained the credit card receipt .The ownerJulia got upset and started talking to me like I was a kid, and threw another pen at me and told me to sign another receipt. Very rude and unprofessional. And their haircuts are not that great either. Don’t know how to fade, always leave a line. Should not use “Barbershop” in their name. Don’t recommend. Supercuts does better. Smh

My first trim since Covid... they have your safety well addressed. I felt very comfortable and safe.They do encourage appointments to maintain safety... how awesome is that?

I leave Julia’s Barbershop every time thinking I should call for a ride home because I’m that relaxed. No, seriously this is a clean, modern barbershop. Julia is the one I’m ALWAYS asking. You know how it is, you build a relationship with someone, and they get to know how you prefer to have your haircut.

The cuts are at a reasonable price and the staff is amazing. I really do recommend coming for a cut, especially with Kay!

A locally owned barber shop with great barbers. The place is very clean and has a very welcoming feeling to it. You can see when you walk in, that Julia takes pride in her business with how nice she has the inside of the shop. If you go here once, you wont use anyone else again. The base price of 17 dollars for a haircut is an awesome deal, and the barbers, especially Javier, are very skilled at what they do.

Went in for a hair and beard trim. Not impressed. The fade on the hair would be ok if he finished. The beard not so much. He didn’t even use any gel cream nothing to line up with a straight razor. Just a dry shave on the cheek line. Did not even bother to look at the neck line of the beard. Did no shaping of the beard mustache at all. Didn’t even offer after I asked for this. (Maybe he didn’t hear because he had headphones in the entire time)At the end just said “I’m done”. Didn’t even spin me around to look in the mirror or offer a mirror to see the back. I had to get up and look myself. When I got home I figured id just shape the beard. When I got in front of the mirror I could see he didn’t even trim the hair on my neck at all. With a short fade the hair on my neck was so obvious. I’m used to a finished hair cut and full beard trim with warm cream, hot towel, and short massage for what they charged. Probably would have been better off taking a chance at the chain haircut place for 1/4 of the price. Right up 281 there is a proper barber that provide what I expected for even a couple bucks less. I could have let most of this go,but the hair on my neck was the last straw. I left looking like a fool. Will never wast my time at this place again.

I never write reviews, in fact this is the first review I have written on Google. Ive read through the negative reviews and while others may have had problems, I felt like they have done such a good job at cutting my hair I had to share. My hair cut is nothing complicated, but the attention to detail is obvious. The standard haircut I get is $16, which is cheaper than pretty much anywhere else that doesnt butcher your hair. I really appreciate the touches they put on their work like the hot towel, straight razor for the neck line, and the vacuum buzzers (man do I hate having that itchy feeling after a haircut). Just my 2 cents, but Julias is great!

I have been going here for about 3 years now. Ms. Rose, Ms. Julia and their team do great work. Everyone is very pleasant and professional. If you are in the area this is a lovely place to get a haircut. Highly recommended!

Traveling in the area and researched several area shops. Some CRAZY prices for a basic mens clipper cut. Julia has normal pricing and does a fabulous job with hot towel after cut. $18 for basic cut vs other shops wanting $35.....crazy!.Convenient to JW Marriot Resort. 5 minute drive.

Updated 04/23/2018: Stick with Julia or Rose for your haircut, you cant go wrong. The other lady there I havent been happy with her cuts but Julia and Rose are on point every time!I love this place. I do call before heading that way just to make sure there open since 2 times I drove over and they were closed but now that I call before hand, I cover my bases. They provide the best and most consistent haircut Ive had.

They all do a great job, are fast, and yet deailed with the cut. My 3 year old moves a bunch and all of them have still ended up with a great product. Julia will even change the channel for little ones and Ive seen the barbers use their own phones to help keep the kids still. I have never seen the attitudes mentioned below and Ive been there well over 20xs.

Totally overpriced!!. My haircuts for a full head of hair that goes down to my mid back are about $16 at super cuts or wherever. But starting price for mens haircut here is $18+ although men have much less hair than a woman.

Went in today for a mid fade. Kind of a last minute thing. I usually only go to two barber shops because I’m very picky with my hair. Line wasn’t long at all, got my hair cut by Javier, very satisfied! Fade looks great, and his customer service was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

The place is always full, and haircuts a fairly good when not busy. So this week the plan was to open the doors so I can beat the hustle. Third in line with three barbers, score! One would think six clients later, I noticed my name had been crossed out on the list. I’ve seen this before and thought it was an honest mistake, but more than once is a trend. Not going back, don’t recommend unless you have time to kill.

Only place around that can do a good flat top. Very friendly.

Julias raised their prices which is fine. $30 for a haircut and trim is still fairly reasonable, but when asked about it Rose got really defensive and flippant and just walked away. I literally just sat there with my jaw on the ground I was so taken aback. I feel strongly enough about it that I deleted my previous review to write this one. I will happily go down the street and pay $5 more not to be spoken to in that fashion.

You will never have a bad experience here. Each Barber is incredible and willing to go over the top. Still the least expensive barber I have found for the quality. Kay is my preferred gal.

Great barber shop! Rose and Julia are excellent. Only ones I trust to cut my hair and my sons. While I usually see Rose, Julia has cut my hair great as well, and I always get compliments afterwards! Highly recommend this shop.

Called ahead rather than stopping by unannounced, and fit me in 15mins to clean up my hairstyle.

Hair cut is good. however, they do everything in rush and do not give proper time to customer. I ask for razor for lining my beard but she did with the trimmer machine. just check it out before you go if they are busy or nor.

They do really good haircuts but Rose, she would probably do good if you were getting a haircut for your toddler, but she jacked me up, she cut my hair way different from then what I asked and it wasn’t even, I had to go home and fix it my self, I could’ve done it my self and not wasted 20$

Outstanding haircut. I am new to the San Antonio area and finding a new Barbor worried me as I am afraid they will mess up but boy was I wrong, the lady did an amazing job! Very fast too, normal it takes around 30 minutes to style my hair the way I want it and she did it in about 15 minutes. If you want a nice styled haircut with perfect blending between short and longer hair then this is the place for you.

Dont try to make any changes to your initial request with Rose. She was pretty rude and then did a poor job on the haircut out of spite. Also scraped up my 4 year olds neck and around his ears multiple times.

1st visit was okay, reminds me of Army PX, Kay cut my hair, 2nd visit I didnt like at all, took way to much off! 2nd chair on left next to Julia! Not sure Ill go back!

Im not one to give low reviews but this one takes the spot. I walked in here and got a seat immediately. Haircut went well, asked them if they work with a straight razor and got a shave, and not even a full shave, just a nice beard designed like they do at barbershops.The bill came out to be $37 and $40 with tip which I think for the work done was ridiculous. 20-25 max wouldve been fair.Please do yourself a favor and ask the prices before getting started. Politeness only makes your wallets lighter.

I always get a high-quality haircut at just about the best price in town from these excellent barbers. While it can get a little crowded on Saturdays, it is absolutely worth the wait as they never fail to cut my hair exactly as I request.

Horrible experience I will never go back Julias daughter cut my hair....i showed her a picture of a guy with a fade ....she freaking have me a mohawk . When I asked her what happened she got rude and said thats the picture you showed me....looks nothing like that.Bewaregentleman these women do not cut hair the right way....its gonna be months before my hair grows back. Cut your hair at your own risk trust me and on top of that they still expect you to pay even when they ruin your hair...

Exceptional service, all the barbers pay attention to your directions and ask for feedback as they style your cut. Plan on waiting for your turn as they take pride in their work.
