Lady that normally cuts my hair elsewhere wasn’t going to be there this weekend so needed to find somewhere to cut mine and my sons hair. Always see this place on my way home and decided to give it a try. Nervous having someone else cut my hair but Veronica put my mind at ease. She did a great job on our haircuts. She was nice, friendly and very detailed. Asking me step by step how I wanted my hair done. Also extremely patient. I know I can be a pain in the butt with my hair. Most definitely going back.

Came here for an undercut and fixing of my layers and Michelle did an amazing job. She’s always consistent and very kind. She even did a great design on my hair both times on the undercut and edged me out and recommended the right things to use to help with the razor shave grow out

Really bummed to leave this review, scheduled an appointment, showed up early and they took me right away. Paid for the heavyweight which I was looking forward too because they shampoo and conditioner your hair afterwards which would of been nice because I had to go to work after but they told me they didn’t have time yet still charged me for a heavy weight haircut due to the straight razor. All in all the haircut took only 15 mins. I’m really disappointed with the lack of care. It’s almost as if they wanted to get it over with because they had something better to do.

I have been coming here for 5 years and they have never let me down. My fade is always on point and the amenities are terrific. From the delicious complementary beverages 😲 to the hair washes and scalp messages, it’s beyond reproach.

One star for efficiency and one star for politeness. That said the whole experience felt rushed for my first time there. I scheduled a cut and a hot towel shave. I did get both.The cut was easy since it was just to clean up the back and sides, then trimming some split ends. The shave was terrible. Aside from getting cut up and bleeding like a stuck pig, the razor burns left a lasting impression. I never got so much as an apology for the rough shave but I soldiered on for a hair wash after the shave.The experience was cordial and to the point. If you want a quick and competent hair cut, then yes this is as good as any other place. If you want a shave, Id move along past. As I have no interest in causing specific people any grief I will simply say thank you but probably never again.

Did take a little longer than the 20mins as described on their website, however it is well worth the wait in that chair. Wish I had found out about this place sooner before I enlisted. Place it hit or miss. Unfortunately there is a difference between stylists and whether they follow prior notes or not isn’t a given. Plan on at least a 1.5 hr visit which is typical of these types of places. Biggest complaint is that they don’t always give you the full treatment of what you pay for (such as multiple shampoos, neck rubs, etc) that comes with higher packages. I’ve had several appts where I was in the awkward spot if asking if they were going to do something that they clearly had forgotten. The fact that this has happened on multiple occasions is what affected this review. Additionally, and maybe because I always go in the evenings, the ladies working there aren’t always in a great mood or they seem preoccupied or apathetic. I’m not looking to have a detailed discussion, but it would be nice if they pretended to be happy to be there.They offer a military discount but only on Tuesday which means there’s only one day a week that most military will go in and that results in busier days and longer wait times. I really loved the one in Tulsa I went to years ago, but this one seems to lack the attitude and flavor that I remembered.

Ive tried getting a haircut here 3 times and never have been able to get one, its not really walk in friendly, its appointment only so no matter what you will need an appointment. If you have an appointment its very possible for you to arrive and still not be receiving your haircut at that time. I understand that with haircuts each cut takes time but why have an appointment system if the customers are still going to have to wait 30min-1hr upon arrival. Im sure they cut hair great but unfortunately I have yet to experience that.

I did enjoy the Knockouts experience, it was catered to my specific needs, provided a clean, energetic, and professional environment and went above and beyond my expectations. Not only this, but a full array of services that are not available elsewhere are offered here to make the grooming experience better. I came in from out of town for the weekend and needed to take care of my grooming needs. Really glad I chose Knockouts at Westpointe. I was taken care of in a timely manner, received an excellent haircut, shampoo, and even tried the other services they offer which I had not experienced before. Made an appointment for my brother because he’s really picky about his hair. Heather was great and really listened to what he wanted. He was really happy when we left and said he wants to go back for his next haircut. Sister win!

Thought I would check out a few local barber shops looking for the best place for my sons and I to get our haircuts. This knockouts was great. They greeted my family when we came in. They offered us free drinks, beer for me and juice or water for the kids. The friendly staff sat down and asked us what we wanted. They explained that kids cuts were $15 and adult cuts start at $20. They seemed genuinely happy to see us even though we brought the whole family wife and kids in. Great haircuts for good prices with great service and free drinks.

I have been going here since it opened almost 8 years ago and unfortunately, the place looks the same as day one! I have suggested updates on suggestion cards and even emailed to no avail. The place needs a deep cleaning especially since we look up when getting our hair washed. The reason I stay is because of JoAnn, she is amazing! Great conversations and more importantly amazing haircuts! I have two young sons who she has been cutting their hair since their 1st haircut and they will not let someone else cut their hair. That truly shows how she forms bonds with her clients. I highly recommend her. I have also noticed over the years that the new stylists just don’t care about anything. There is not a welcoming environment nor atmosphere as I have come accustom too which is why I only gave them one star. Once they update the place and get stylist that care they will return to a 5 star location. Hopefully someone is listening!

Painful experience.

While checking in I was asked if I had an appointment I answered no and was checked in and waited for my turn. A stylist finished with a client around the time that another patron arrived, he also was asked if he had an appointment to which he answered no. The stylist took him directly to her station and began to take care of his service while I was left to wait for another stylist too finish with a client and clean her station. I promptly left and have no plans to ever return. I have been using this facility since it opened, and it saddens me to see how much the service has deteriorated in the recent years.

Recommend making an appointment to avoid some of the wait time. But the complementary beverages help you unwind. If you havent done the Heavyweight it would be worth the little extra pampering. Recommend having the shave or beard trim.

Walked in a little late and asked if someone could cut my hair the girl looked up and me rolled her eyes and turns away. The other girl cutting someone’s hair said were closed. I admit i was late but don’t have to be rude could have just stated we closed already and said would you like to come back another day. Rather than being rude.

I love this place and the woman that usually cuts my hair cause I be looking cute af leaving! That’s the only reason I’m giving 5 stars, but recently they’ve hired some small petite woman in her mid 30s I guess, and I usually do walk ins I don’t schedule an appointment, but I’ve came in on December and today (January) and both times in the morning on a week day lol and each time she’s told me that they are booked till 3pm or like today it was till 1pm, that never happened to me ever when I do walk in I get cut on the spot lol I get y’all have customers but to be booked till that far in the day ... I don’t think so!!!! but other then that I love this place!

Walking in I was kind of timid, especially when asked if I had an appointment and was given a weird look when I said no. But the only reason for my visit was because Heathur began working there, ever since I’ve met Heathur I’ve never let anyone else cut my hair due to her giving a great cut every time. She is the only stylist with my complete trust, and I hope anyone that reads this that hasn’t had your hair cut by her should definitely give her a shot, you won’t regret it! But with Heathur bringing me to this shop, I’ve never would’ve known about it and all the cool services they give, definitely a good place to check out! Worth every penny!

I waited 3+ hours here for a normal lightweight haircut. ( would of got the shampoo and full service if I didn’t have to get going by the time I was helped) Iris was very rude and even reacted as if I was lying and denied I waited. Mind you, iris was the one who checked me in and told me the wait time was 45 MIN. 3 HOURS LATER... she basically calls me a liar only to check the system and see that I was “ in service” some how... so people skipped me and I was there for that long on my only day off. And then when my barber tried to discount me again Iris was hesitant to even do that. I could tell she did not care and I felt disrespected. I can’t believe how I was treated here and honestly if it wasnt for ms. Linda who went out of her way to make it right for me and give me an awesome haircut I’d probably never go here again. LINDA IS AWESOME IF YOU GO HERE SIT WITH HER! She will take care of you!! Thank you so much Linda for turning my day around after this!

Before going here I didn’t really care what place cut my hair. But this Knockouts will keep me coming back! Everyone in the shop was super nice and made me feel pretty comfortable. They recommended some shampoo and conditioner for a pretty reasonable price

I visited 7 June 2018. I would give the overall service a 3.5. I would give the staff a 5+ for friendliness and promptness. I had a head and beard shave. The young man that was in front of me got a great haircut and looked good as he walked out. Great job there! I had had a fun conversation while she did her job. The complaints: she cut my head and put the stuff on that burned pretty good to stop the bleeding. Although it was just a knick, a heads up would have been good. Got nicked again under the lip. Walked out a little bloodied. The nicks didnt bother me, because I know it happens. What I really did not like was the lotion applied during/after shaving. Three hours later and my head and face are still very greasy. Obviously not a mistake of the barber, just what they use. I did not walk out feeling clean cut. Walked out feeling like I had three pounds of lotion in my skin. I thought it would wear off, but did not.I will recommend guys to go for the haircut because I saw a few guys walk out looking really good. I would not recommend the shave on head or face.

I put off getting a haircut in Europe if I know I’m flying into San Antonio for a business meeting or conference. Joann is a master of her craft, her attention to detail is on point and her customer service is amazing. I’ve never second guessed the quality of my haircut leaving the salon. If you’re looking to try out a new barber or stylist, JoAnn is the last one you will need.

Lets see, 7 years, 2 haircuts a month...more than 160 haircuts at Knockouts. Lately, the ONLY reason I return is Joann. The new management isnt paying attention. Here are some examples: One one visit the manager had not started computer updates early enough so they could not accept credit cards. Their solution was to write down credit card info...only I reason I agreed was that I trusted Joann. On another visit they were out of wax sticks. On another visit they had run out of paper for the credit card machine. The girls arent cute anymore, there is no Knockouts atmosphere. What used to be a great cut with fun stylists, in a great atmosphere has become a SuperCuts. Good thing Joann is there or I would have left long ago.

Poor customer service made a appointment for didn’t get acknowledged even 30 minutes after. Got skipped by 2 people while I sat there; Wasted time. Will not go back.

I came in for a haircut, and used the same language I use with every visit: I want skin at the bottom of my ears, and a medium taper up to the top; I only need enough on the top to part. Vanessa was rough with me (physically scratching my head with the comb and rough with the razor), criticized my requested haircut, told me I need to make a decision about whether I want my hair Long or short (Im military), and told me about how she has cut hair for 7yrs. Then when I requested that she take off more from the top, I specified that I only need about an inch on top. She still left around 1.75, and when i told her that, she told me that she isnt the barber for me. Terrible service for the first time here. Id avoid Vanessa, and stick with a friendly barber like Desi or Jolinda.

First time going here I’d like to say I got a great haircut but i couldn’t tell you.. went there after work the staff seemed nice but kept getting skipped in line.. maybe they had appointments idk but after waiting almost 2 hours I bailed.. place reminds me of sports clips And they kinda sucked.. what was i thinking going here should’ve just gone to real barber shop! What a waste of time!!

My husband went to Knock Outs the other day and for the first time in a long time I actually liked his hair cut. I definitely recommend Heather for anyone who had a difficult time getting a good hair cut.

Friendly but misquoted wait time and I understand being busy but it’s unacceptable to say 30 minutes and leave after an hour with no haircut thats an hour wasted when I coulda been doing something else on my Sunday. Left and walked down the sidewalk to Great Clips, they were better prepared to handle the volume of customers coming in with almost no wait.The atmosphere was more relaxing and the overall appearance of the business was more professional and organized!

Joann and the team here seem to really know what they do. I have yet to have a bad experience in the two years I have been frequenting this location. Joann really knows how to take care of my hair and takes her job seriously. I would give them a shot if you are looking for a new stylist.

Well, place is is kinda dirty. Ceilings are awful. Some girls are cute and some look like they hate being there.... walked in was greeted like they didnt want to be there. Was checking some cuts some are good and some look just bad. My cut was average not worth 30 bucks ... i sure ill find a spot where its cheaper and better cuts.

Kids got a good haircut but mine was not. They also dont advertise on the price that after 20 min they charge $1 for every min after that. Most expensive haircut and not worth it. Not coming back or recommending

Showed Up at 10 when they opened was told they had an appointment at 10 to come back at 11 came at 11 was told they were busy to wait till 1130 got there at 11:30 then waited till 1150 no one helped me people were being helped before me. I just wasted so much time and I’m now late to meeting. Do not waste your time here or money.

It’s hard to find someone with consistency in their craft, especially when it comes to an intricate cut like what I have. She has never been inconsistent with her skills or her customer curtesy.
