We had our wedding ceremony here on September 3, 2021. We had 100 guests. This venue is absolutely beautiful! The entry is grand and ample parking is available.The Venue responds quickly to questions and worked well with my vendors (Cake and DJ).We had our ceremony in the Gold Room upstairs. We were allowed to rehearse and decorate the day prior which was VERY helpful. The room was soft, elegant and romantic. The seating was good and allowed guests room to move comfortably. The only complaint is that it was very, very hot. Our Banquet Manager did turn on the A/C but it was not enough. I stood with sweat literally dripping down my neck and back as I said my vows. My hair was wet. I was so afraid that I would sweat through my dress and people would see it. Note - my dress was light and backless. My guests were also dripping in sweat. I was a little embarrassed and had to keep apologizing.Our reception was downstairs in the Crystal Room. Wow!! It’s was so beautiful and everyone repeatedly complimented the decor. This is definitely an amazing place to get married! The dance floor was a great space and our guests loved it. Shannon was so sweet and helpful. She used my preferred flowers and was super to work with. Our Banquet Manager also stayed diligent, organized and constantly checked in on us! The serving staff was quick, efficient and helpful. This really was a great crew! I am so grateful for them.Sadly, this room was very hot also. Every time someone hugged me, I had to apologize for the sweat dripping down my back. Needless to say, my Groom was soaked in a full tuxedo.The food provided by Absolutely Delicious Catering at the Venue was wonderful. We had several guests comment on how delicious and tasty it was. We had the poblano chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. I would absolutely eat this again if I could. It really was delicious!Overall, our wedding was perfect and BEAUTIFUL! I am glad that I chose this venue and really appreciated the staff. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to all of us having to sweat all night (.One small note- we were charged for security but never saw this person inside or outside at all. Steak should have been marinated with a garlic butter peppercorn 1/4 inch tender hole punctuation for a 20 minute resting..... service by Brandon was great 👍....hopefully upon my return Brandon is there.... A friend had a wedding here and the service was amazing. The venue is absolutely amazing and gorgeous and everyone seemed to go above and beyond to make her day special. I never feel the need to leave a review for any place, but my interactions with the staff here was so good that I had to boost them.

If you’ve never been to the old San Francisco steakhouse, you are missing out. This nostalgic building is absolutely incredible. A lot of history and visually appealing. They have a lot of older artifacts and American history on display. Nice hardwood floors, art, display guns, old arcade machines, old signs, you name it it’s here. This would be one of the most amazing places to hold a wedding or a business conference. There is even an old swing above the bar for a barmaid to swing on. Incredible. You absolutely need to check this place out totally worth looking at.

This restaurant is only used for special events, at this time. It is still a beautiful place and the food was delicious.

Took me so long to finally have this review posted....but its finally here! I had Nidia as my consultant for the venue. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was professional & helpful when I had doubt in the planning. She helped w/ everything from the venue design to help change between from ceremony to reception. She was very positive all throughout. And a special shout out to Brian, the banquet manager of the night was responsive and professional of the night before and the night of the wedding event. Also, great food services they had that night. I got great feedback that night for all the food, and wish they could have had seconds.

This is not a restaurant. Its a venue for weddings and private parties. Its important for those of us who use Google to find restaurants for dining. This is not one of those. Google maps needs to remove the restaurant icon from this site.

A beautiful venue steeped in history that provides an amazing eating experience. The food is high quality and prepared with excellence. All of the staff provided high quality service and the facilities are clean. The atmosphere transports you to another world while providing a sumptuous culinary delight from the old world. I highly recommend making reservations for your family. Perfect venue for weddings or other celebrations.

The employees are just there to work. There was a spill on the table all over the guest and two employees just took the plates and left the spill. Only one person was helping us and she was trying very hard. We asked what was the rush. we re told the manager told them to get us in and out, f..us we get what we pay for. The bar girl was the best.

Expensive but U get what U pay for. Clean friendly been there forever .

Went for a seminar, meal was delicious, glad I went.

Good food served efficiently for having 90 people. I dont like chocolate cake, so it would have been nice to have a choice for dessert.

Was there for a wedding and its really nice. Has just the right amount of space and decor gave a cozy feeling. Really enjoyed it.

Beautiful room for a wedding that took place this weekend.

I DJd here so I didnt get to try the food, but the venue was gorgeous inside with lots of chandeliers and a beautiful view of waterfalls and palm trees.

Great food, but only open for parties, or seminars

The waitress was super friendly, food was good and the environment of it all helped set the tone.

Due to covid my first wedding venue cancelled on me about 5 months prior to my wedding and I was an absolute mess until my wedding coordinator told me to go look at the Old San Francisco since they were in the process of remodeling. The day I went there I fell in love ( not just with one room but the entire building!) I was lucky enough to work hand in hand with Nidia, she was so flexible, understanding, and accommodating to all my requests. She was an angel sent from above and made my wedding process so much easier! I am so very thankful to have found this venue and Nidia. Now the food, the food was AMAZING. My wedding was about a month ago and till this day people are still raving about it. Absolutely delicious is just what you would expect, if not more! I will definitely keep the Old San Francisco and absolutely delicious top recommendations for anyone I know having an event! So beautiful and perfect. Thank you Nidia and the whole team for being amazing!

Attended a wedding here and it was gorgeous! Loved the chandeliers and the waterfall background behind the glass windows. Perfect for an intimate wedding/occasion and beautiful for pictures in general! Hopefully someone else I know has an event here because I could have taken photos all night with the scenery!

We had my daughter and her cousins quinceanera here and it was just AMAZING! BRYAN our event manager was very accommodating and friendly. Staff gave top notch service and kept tables clean and drinks filled! Food was amazing! Guests left happy and full!

We just had my husbands birthday party hosted there. They are no longer an actual restaurant. They host and cater events there. The staff was super attentive and everything was set up exactly as we wanted. We had 5 different gambling tables set up and the folks running those were great. The food that was served was also excellent. So if you are looking for a place to host your next event be sure to check this place out.

The chopped steak with mushroom gravy was delicious. Hot mashed potatoes and vegetables. Hot dinner rolls, and chocolate cake. All soooooo good. Lovely decorations.

Work Christmas party was fun here

Aesthetically lovely but it was hot and no elevator for those who cant use stairs. The people in charge of running the venue are difficult to get in touch with and once you go to your appointment, they rush the tour. We just booked a different venue. I dont care how nice a venue looks, if they cant be reached then it not worth booking.

The ballroom is really pretty and the food okay .Was cold but tasty. The hall is really big and has a really pretty waterfall outside of it. Bathrooms are nearby and clean, only con is lack of music. Rather lack of loud music, it was boring. We stayed the latest BC we had drinks but it was a total snooze fest. Maybe you needed our own DJ... Not sure but the music they had playing was low like cocktails hour low.it was a bore we left just after 10 pm despite having the room til 12.

Dont go there Food is out all day. Not clean The Management is rude. All she wants is money. She should just sell place and get new hobby .She would hire anyone just to save her money. The table cloth are dirty .She never heard of a washer .Now we know why its dark inside. Turn the lights on! Cant afford lights or AC. Serve with dirty dishes and glasses

I went to a friends wedding. I tried to call for hours with no answer. I finally get an answer and I informed them of my situation and they seem to not wanting to be bothered.

I had my wedding in the crystal room, and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were all so amazing, from Nidia to Bryan, Pasqual and everyone else. They made my special day stress free. The food was delicious and all of my guests agree! We received so many compliments on the venue and how beautiful it was. Thank you OSF for everything

Too bad this place is not open any more as a steakhouse. It is open for private events though. We were there last week for a Christmas work party and the food was good, the decorations interesting and the building seemed well maintained.I recommend it, but only available by reservation for private events.

This place closed down as a restaurant. Now its an event center. Went for an event and it was catered. San Francisco STEAK house.....they served enchiladas with rice and beans!!

Was brought here a long long time ago by my host from Motorola in 1980s whilst on a training course from the UK. The place was heaving with cowboys and cowgirls all having a great time. I had trouble eating those huge juicy steaks and line dancing (2 left feet) . Of course theres ample liquor and the mighty swing for the ones who could dare. The atmosphere was to die for and it is such a shame to see it from its former glory.Long live the OLD San Francisco STEAK house.

I was stationed at Lackland from 76-78. I remember the lady on the swing and the cheese and bread served before the meal. Such was a great place to eat. As.being retired able to travel and I am sorry it is not open to the public anymore. But still remember the good food, service. Thanks for the memories.

Well its true, San Francisco Steakhouse is closed to the general public, they only cater to private parties of a certain size now. Shameful to do that to San Antonio. Austin still has a restaurant that still serves regular people, so why cant San Antonio. I also have it on good authority that the bread and cheese square is now history as well. Look out young lady who swings on her chair, ur next... Good luck with your business San Francisco...NOT

Great steak house. Food is like what all great steak houses should be like. The atmosphere is cozzy comfortable and relaxing service is top level. Eat here at least once a year. Just because i want to keep this place as a hidden gem i wont brag to much about it.

It is a venue for parties and small weddings. Looks older, has old shandeliers and pictures or signs on the walls, kinda cool . It is not a restaurant, must make reservations.

At Dallas restaurant in the 70s and 80s - nothing like it!!! Your special baked potatoes unmatchable, file mug on exclusive, cheese block delish, and house specialty cake unbelievable! Love love love!!!

Beautiful venue for a retirement party it was an open Cash bar plenty of hors doeuvres served throughout the first hour or two of the evening and then after the all the pageantry was done the buffet opened up and the food was absolutely delightful it wasnt crazy upscale but it was just good solid food grilled vegetables very flavourful hummus prime rib pulled pork tacos and it was just delightful it was really a good evening
