If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. I live here in a 2 bed 1 bath apartment, for $1,200 a month. NOT WORTH IT. Management doesn’t EVER answer the phone when you call, you have to mention taking legal action for anything to get started with maintenance. STARTED. Not completed. My AC is not working correctly, they called at 11:50am & said the maintenance guy was on his way, so I left work & flew home, maintenance guy was there for 10 min (at noon), then turned around, left & said he had to go get some stuff for me & that he’d be back within 15-20min. Fantastic. It is now 2:40pm as I’m writing this, & he has yet to return. I called the office, no answer, I emailed the manager, no answer. While it’s 80° inside my apartment. This place isn’t worth your hard earned money people. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE.Update: It is now 06/18, & they STILL haven’t fixed my AC or kept in contact with me about anything. I’m going to be taking legal action. Yeah, stay away from here.Update again: It is 08/03, STILL MY AC IS NOT FIXED. They are absolutely RIDICULOUS. No one answers the phones, emails, work orders online. Please don’t come here. They are con artists.Back for another update: 09/05/21 ; it is currently 83° inside my house. They have STILL NOT FIXED MY AC. & threaten to evict if I don’t pay my rent. This place needs to be demolished.

So I have lived here for 3 or 4 years. The place was never great and it continues to go downhill. I have had to fight for well documented concessions made by the complex and repairs.Most recently, I have been without cold water for over a month. I cant shower or use my washer. I lost over $1500 in tropical fish and plants because I couldnt conduct regular water changes. I spoke to the 5th new manager and she promised to work on some rent reduction for my damages. I have heard nothing from them until I called today.I lodged a complaint with the Texas Attorney General for their business practices. Today I sent certified letters and intend on suing them for damages and lease release unless they step up to the plate and take care of the issue and damages. I am disappointed...I have not minded my time here, but this is unacceptable behavior.

The manager Janine has been super helpful. Before her we would wait months and months for issues to be solved, even 6+ months to get a leak fixed. Since she has been here she really listens to the problem and gets it done as fast as possible for us. Most only having to wait 3-4 days. It’s a much better and happier experience. She makes living here so much easier.

They can’t fix anything in your apartment! I have been without lightbulbs for months & a bedroom light for 2 weeks now. They work at their convenience & not ours! Never in the office!

This place is absolute TRASH!!!!!! UNLESS YOU LIKE ROACHES CRAWLING ON WHILE YOU SLEEP, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I have submitted multiple work orders and they cant even come out to at least take a look. Moving here was the biggest mistake EVER! First things first, I had a perv looking through my window jacking off at 2 a.m. They were supposed to come back and replace our ceiling fan 7 months ago lol. The toilet was brown when we moved in, even after scrubbing repeatedly. Our sink is leaking and causing the wood to chip away and mold and it stinks so bad. Its a hangout spot for roaches. Can you believe the manager had the audacity to say our apartment cleanliness is the cause of the roach infestation that has been festering since the very day we moved in, check the other reviews this whole complex is infested with thousands of roaches. There was a fire in another building I can bet you it was due roaches messing with the electrical. Now they want to make everyone get renters insurance at this POS! You can see the mold on the bathroom ceiling that they PAINTED over lol. I am completely done with this complex and will be seeking legal action. I will not live under these conditions. Pictures dont lie. The reviews are real. Dont be fooled. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew someone who lived here when it was Whispering Hills & it was questionable. The new management has really outdone themselves. Turned this place AROUND! Diana has truly helped out a lot, Perfect communication. I like it here, 8/10 would recommend.

We moved in about three months ago and the difference from move in day to now is huge. The new management has made leaps and bounds of progress with the complex. Our experience at first wasn’t so great but once they put a new manager in it’s so much better! It’s undergoing some construction but it’s all to make the apartment complex up to date and safer. The upgrades as worth the money and look very modern and up to date. We look forward to having our little family continue living here and urge you to not be thrown off by the construction because in the end it’ll look amazing!

Until after I was turning in my key and was already moved out. I told the guy said no way in hell.I turned my key in they guy said he would forward my mail to new address I never got anything in the mail. So I asked after 10 days to email it instead they replied back I will tomorrow never got it.But 6 months later in Oct. Of 2020 echo apts file against my credit saying I lived there in April as well during covid, that I owe rent. For the month of AprilI have called the office no one will ever answer not even at the corp office one will answer their phone or reply back to voicemails.They are so unorganized along with being liars and thiefs. They dont have a month to month signed by me. I having been telling everyone not to live here

Like my husband said in a previous complaint. It took them almost a month just to change a light bulb...really!!!. We finally got it changed today. We understand that other people have work orders but dang this was a light bulb... My husband wasnt happy cuz he had to wait so long. We dont like going to the office all the time to back track on our work order.

Please do not rent here, no matter how desperate you might be, the new management team is HORRIBLE and unprofessional. Its been over 2 months, that we have had leaks in a couple of rooms, you can see daylight through the holes on the ceiling. Manager Janie Martinez was in here to do and inspection, so I got to show her in person where there is also mold and DID NOT care at all. The assistant manager, Diana, said my problem wasnt that serious! What?! Please belief the reviews, its horrible right now! They try to blame it all on covid, but it hasnt stopped them from upgrading their office... Do not fall for their FAKE smiles. They will not come through

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is horrible. Management is ridiculous. The apartments that burned have been ‘under construction ‘ for over a year. Once there was a notice on the doors about asbestos. I mean if that unit had it ...all of them do. Now there’s an upstairs apartment near the office that has had broken windows for almost 2 months. The trash piles up.. it’s disgusting. They repair nothing. The Outside safety lights are always out.

So glad we decided to move here. The management is amazing and friendly, the property is kept clean, and the apartment we rent is really nice.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Look at all the reviews of everyone who gives the same warning. It is true, and I dont care how cheap the apartments get do not sign a lease or give these criminal administration any more money. I have a long list of issues with the apartments but I will list the worst ones here to hopefully help other understand why this place is terrible. The first issue is that the administration does not care about you or your issues. They seem to never be at the office and will not answer your calls or messages. It does not matter how bad your issue is or how urgent, you are nothing but a sack of money to them. We had a large amount of black mold under our sink because it leaks so we put in a work order to have it fix. After a week of no one coming out we got an email saying the work order was resolved. No one ever came, and no one ever does, a man was even evicted because he complained about no one coming out to fix his leaking toilet. The second issue is the crime. There is a lot of shady individuals who live and visit the apartment complex. There have been multiple cars broken into and vandalized. The apartment mailbox was even broken open and mail was taken. It took the administration over 2 months to get it fixed and all they did when residents asked how they would get their mail while waiting for a new box was to say tough luck. There was a shootout in the parking lot one night and you can still see the bullet hole by the staircase of building 7. If you look through it you can see into the apartment. They had to release a notice that a incident involving a minor had occurred but they were not specific to the details and only offered to sell security devices. On top of the crime you now also have to worry about your building burning down. Sometime in early June one of the buildings caught fire and burned out 3 or 4 units. Thankfully the fire dept is only a mile down the road and responded quickly. They had said the wiring was faulty and caused a fire in the wall. Well the buildings are very old and falling apart so its not surprise that faulty wiring caused a fire. The management hired a company to fix the apartments but must have decided that it was too expensive because the building as of writing this review has not been touched or modified since. For the past 3 months it has had this ugly blue tarp on the walls that has been blown down in the multiple storms we have had. So if the unit somehow didnt have water damage form the fire department all the rain that was washed into the open holes in the wall has absolutely caused some. Another major issue I have had was the large amount of stray animals running around the complex. There are maybe 10 to 15 stray cats that live around the apartments. The cats will constantly be having kittens so you will have kittens running around and getting on top and under cars. I have also had to pull 2 kittens from my walls. One was behind our stove and the other was in the wall next two the fireplace. Maintenance came and put 3 holes in the wall trying to get it out. Once we had it in a box the guy left and told me congrats on the new cat. I could not believe he just left me with having to deal with a kitten that I did not want, nor was my problem. The administration is too cheap to hire animal control so they make the residents deal with the problem. I lived at these apartments for 3 years and when we first moved in it was a different time and things were better, but after 3 or 4 management changes the place has just taken a huge turn for the worst. The past year and half have been the worst. I could not wait to leave. So please do not live here, it is not worth any price. The buildings need to be demolished and rebuilt.

Worst apartment Ive ever lived in honestly. The management will show you the model apartment which is really nice with black on black appliances and very clean but when I saw the apartment I was very upset. The maintenance guys never even cleaned my apartment. There was trash and dishes everywhere, roaches, broken garbage disposal, broken dish washer mold you name it, this apartment had it. Then management has changed twice. I had to contact corporate due to me being very very vey dissatisfied with everything. Corporate promised me they would move me into a new apartment. Never heard from again. So I finally went to the office and handed the new managers a ten page report on whats been going on for the last two months,pictures,passed emails showing that no one has even had the decency to get back with me but I pay my rent on the first of every month and never late. I wouldnt recommend these apartments even if they were offering FREE RENT. Never again and i wish I could get out of my lease but Im buying a house at the end of the year, so Im stuck. DO NOT RENT HERE.

The owner should stay here for a month w management to experience and see how bad must of these apartments are .... Fir to years ... very time it rains my bed room gets flooded .. I’ve thrown away damaged furniture...I’ve seen them upgrading the burn building right in front of me .for months now .., but do they care on fixing my problem???? No!!!!

I’ve lived here for two years and I can’t wait to move out. Our AC in our has been out for WEEKS now (since August 3rd to be exact) and all they do is send someone over to patch it up for a few hours IF THAT then it goes out again. It’s summer in Texas and I have no AC and I have a child. On top of that they gave us window units they tried to take from us to go in another apartment with no AC and they hadn’t even fixed ours. The AC is just one thing. We had a leak in our laundry room in the beginning of this year around February called them over and over to get no one to come fix the leak . It wasn’t until we started to get black mold, our laundry room light had fallen out of the ceiling, our dining room roof fell on our dining room table and to top it off it was raining inside of my apartment from the huge hole and all the water that had collected for them to finally come “fix” everything. When they finally came to fix the leak we waited another month for them to fix the gaping holes in our ceiling. Oh, let’s not forget that they had to tear up the carpet and the padding under the carpet due to it had gotten wet. Here we are a few weeks until the end of our lease and months later we still don’t have proper carpet and I still don’t have a new light in my laundry room.UPDATE:I posted this review 4 days ago.... I still have no working AC and when I called them again I was asked if I was a new resident. (Like why does that matter) after I said no I was advised that there were FOUR people ahead of me and they would be there shortly. No one ever showed up and so when I finally spoke with someone else in office I was told “someone came up there but no one was home” mind you I had been home alllllll day and night . Not only that, that has not stopped them before from coming in and fixing things. Also, the window units they gave us that’s in my child’s room stopped working days ago & they know this. Still nothing . THIS PLACE IS TRASH ! Do not even think about moving here . Rents too high for the crappy living situation. THREE WEEKS WITH NO AC IN THE SUMMER COME ON !!

Not a fan at all. If I could give zero I would.Raccoons are in my ceiling and you can hear them sliding through walls and running around above me. ( they said they would fix the issue for weeeeeeekkkkkkssssss).The children of the neighborhood are wreckless and throws rocks at people’s apartments. (This is more of the tenants lack of parenting not management)My appliances have been leaking and destroying the floor but they don’t care.They say they will deliver your invoice for rent. And when the first come and you call and they say “oh your apartments are the ones we didn’t put them on” (it’s a setup to have to pay a late fee for sure).The tenants will watch their animal poop in a yard and just walk off. So people who don’t have animals have to deal with the poop.They are under new management but nothing has changed about the care of the property nor the tenants.

Mail boxes do not lock. Nor have actual doors on them. The post office no longer will leave mail here for anyone because they wont repair the mail boxes. Office people are lazy bums and the maintenance is just as bad. I think they hired them off craigslist.

Does anyone actually know the hours of the office now that Angie (previous manager) is gone?? It seems like the new office staff is NEVER around. This is becomes VERY frustrating (especially for those people that work 8-5) when you need to pay rent, make maintenance requests, or generally need to speak to someone face-to-face. You have better chances of seeing their Will return clock door sign than you do actually speaking to someone directly.I noticed that the office staff removed their hours of operation from the sign right outside of their office. They basically come and go as they please - there is no set schedule, so basically you (the customer aka RENTER) is working around their (the retailer aka APARTMENT OWNER/STAFF MEMBER) schedule. Doesnt this customer-retailer/service provider relationship seem opposite to what you would think? Where is the customer service??There are a whole load of other issues that you can read about from other reviews, but bottom line - a lot changed for the WORST at this apartment complex since Angies departure. She knew most of us (the residents) by name and would provide prompt service (from maintenance, return your phone calls/e-mails, and always greet you with a smile ). Now they cant even manage to get a maintenance work order complete without you hounding them for several days or even weeks!Forget all the community events & get-togethers that Angie and her staff helped put together for the residents - now almost every time you see residents, they are frustrated and complaining. If this property hasnt seen a decline in residents within a year, Im pretty sure they have a big surprise coming for them.I really hope the OWNER of this proper (Whispering Hill Apartments) reads this review and ASKS the actual residents for FEEDBACK on how they are doing their jobs. Please! DO NOT move into this apartment complex! it’s the worst place ever!!!! Roaches love this place and apparently so do rats. I found rat poop right on top of my utensils last week, called the leasing office and they said that if I heard any movement they would go right away if not, I have to wait until Wednesday which is the day the pest control guy shows up. I am pregnant and I shouldn’t be waiting until Wednesday for my issue to be fixed. This place is a horrible mess.

We’ve been here a little over a month and we hate it here already. The work order we filed when we moved in still hasn’t been processed, there were roaches when we moved in. There’s mold under our kitchen sink because of a leak that still hasn’t been addressed. The neighbors are grotesquely sketchy and will use their dogs to try to intimidate you despite them supposedly being breed restricted. Yes, even if you’re just walking to your car, someone will try to flex. My bathtub and tile is painted instead of actually resurfaced. Not to mention there’s an empty field that the complex owns supposedly where people see it fit to dump animals constantly so there’s always dogs running loose in the complex. Not to mention the on site laundromat machines literally just eat your money and dye your clothes a rust color. This place is absolutely not worth it at all.

This place is a slum. Whatever deal you might be getting, it’s not worth the trouble. The management is the worst I’ve ever had to deal with in living in any apartment setting. My AC hasn’t worked properly since moving in. My shower has no pressure and drain will not drain even after using chemicals. The apartment manager Angel will argue with you at every turn if you need to have anything fixed with out getting any resolution. Vanessa, the receptionist, has no business in a customer service role. These people are literal slum lords that charge market rates for these run down apartments

Been calling the office for literally days & nobody can never answer the phone idk why they have office hours if it seems like nobody is ever there. Really annoying starting to regret paying a deposit they cant even answer so I can pick up my keys to new apt. Havent even got to move in yet & my experience with them is already bad.

Currently on my last month here. Whispering Hills arent crazy bad in my opinion. The parking does get crowded at night. The office said they will work on getting the cars that have been parked there forever towed, but theyre still there. A major complaint I do have is the water. Theyve shut it off five times since Ive been there and with my luck, its always happened while Im in the shower. Really irritating. And no one even called me for a warning or notice. They did the fifth time, they sent me a text. They said it was an emergency shut off and I asked why hasnt it been fixed? Five emergency shut offs? Get it together Whispering Hills. I had to use about ten bottle of waters to wash out the shampoo and finish showering to get to work. We also had a hole behind our fridge where rats were coming in and out of and I called to get that fixed. They came the next day which I thought was pretty good pretty fast. They fixed that hole and there has to be another hole cause my food has bites but I just hide everything in the cabinets now. The pools been closed forever too. They just let it get green and the parking lot starts to stink. The mailbox, omg. Half of them are broken, they dont lock, so theyre just open, with mail inside of it. Luckily, mine is closed but really sucks for the other people. Whispering Hills accept pretty much anyone, so do expect to see not the best kind of people living there. I dont really socialize with neighbors or people living there, I just mind my own business so I havent had any issues with anyone. Another annoying thing is now since a new company/owner/management bought the apartments, we have to call the office to get the rents total. They sent out a paper with your total once, but if you didnt receive it, I was told now I have to call every month to get the total. Annoying. I really got used to the area. The areas nice. You pretty much have everything around, HEBs, Walmarts, Rolling Oaks Mall, The Forums not to far either. These were the first apartments I ever moved in and I give them a 5/10. Im not really picky but theres lots to improve.

After living here for over a year it was the worst decision ever. our a.c. unit does NOT cool I run it on 68 only to have it 82 to 86 degrees In my 2 bedroom. one room in all the complexes will always be as hot as a oven .all the hvacs are to small an are not the right size for the space .so light bills are 400 plus a month. the manager Samantha has packed the apartments with so many criminals that we have had our cars broken Into 3 times an our motorcycle stolen . all of the problems came from the people that live here. u will wait months for them to fix the simplest of things just for it to break again. the apartments are roach infested an old. every building has a hot room an they will not disclose it prior to you moving in. there has been TWO shoot outs here, an a large fire that completely destroyed building 11. If you complain to maintaince or office to fix anything they WILL RETALITE WITH AN EVICTION NOTICE..the people who live here break into other peoples apartments an threaten you with guns. Not to mention all the drug dealers you will live around. IF YOU ARE ARE ELDERLY OR DISABLED THEY WILL DISREGARD ANY AN ALL WORK ORDERS YOU PUT IN.DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!

I been out here since Oct. 2015 and I cant wait till till next month to move. Its getting worse out here. I pay 1,234 for a 3 bed room. They dont want to fix anything but want to charge you all likes of late fees or do a lock out. Mail boxes are always broke for 3 and 4 months at a time till this day my steal want close. At one point the post office stop taking our mail smh. And the problems Im having now is my bathroom tub water wouldnt cut off a couple of months ago so it flooded my neighbors apt went to landlord house like 5 time while someone was at my house trying to use a bucket and put water in tub. I called everyone to the fire department are this was going on for 3hrs and now after 10pm. So my neighbor was upset because his house was flooded and he turn the whole building water off lol. To this day they have gutted the back of my shower wall and when I ask when are u going to Fix it they responded I didnt put in a work order I responded didnt put in a work oorder for u to tear it up. My garbage disposal doesnt work, my tub and sinks are painted, my stove eye turns on high when is low,I had a mouse running around, my floors fill like you are going to fall in on neighbors head and they go through to many managers so they have no time to care for you. Kids are wild out here and we have a couple of trap housingdrug dealer out here now that lead to a shooting and last week they were fighting! DONT MOVE OUT HERE! I Moved There In The Year 2000 Till 2008 And The Manager At That Time Didnt Know Her Bellybutton To A Panic Button An Incident Happened In 2008 Which The Manager Of Whispering Hills Didnt Want To Hear My Side Of The Story, One Of The Housekeeping Staff Not Actually An Employee With Whispering Hills Apartment Claimed That I Exposed Myself To Her Which I Know That Is A Lie And Tina Harless The Manager During That Time Beleaved The Liar And Had Me Evicted For No Reason Or Probable Cause By All Rights I Should File A Law Suite Against Tina Harless And Whispering Hills For Slanderous Accusations, That Would Have Me Owning Whispering Hills Apartment Complex And To Make Sure That Whispering Hills Apartment Complex Is Torn Down And Rebuilt And Get A Maintenance Crew That Knows What The Hell That They Are Doing As Far As General Maintenance On The Property Is Concerned And To Get An Apartment Management And Leasing Agents There At All Times And Hire An Apartment Guide To Show Which Apartment Is Available, To Assure The Safety Of The Tenants Living And Future Tenants Is Top Priority And To Have Every Part Of The Apartment Complex Handicap Accessible Under The Federal Disabilities Act, I Have Found Several Safety Violation In Whispering Hills Apartment Complex, The Units Are Not Stable The Swimming Pool Is Not Maintained Or Working Properly, The Maintenance Crew Dont Do A Good Job At All And When The Maintenance Crew It Is Very Sloppy, Like A Monkey Or A Chimpanzee Did The Job
