RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY. I could write a book on everything bad I experienced while living here. Upon moving in it took 2 months for my washer and dryer (which were supposed to be already included) to be installed. Called the police a total of 11 times throughout my 13 month lease on neighbors fighting, performing live music at 4AM on weekdays, and random children from different units going door-to-door attempting to open each and go inside the apartment. They got into mine twice when I came home before I had the chance to lock the door. Office has such bad turnover that every month you’ll see new faces, and they just get ruder as they come. The “luxury” claim this place advertises should be criminal. They overcharge for subpar living with poor customer service. Countless times I was in the leasing office to handle business and literally watching them sitting at their desks letting the phone ring with no intent to answer it. I cannot stress this enough… lease elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble.

Wow, just wow. I leased here because I’m waiting for my house to be done being built, and the first interaction I got was that they don’t accept 3 month leases when their website said otherwise. I walk into the office, the manager says she is going to contact her regional and that a 3 month should be fine. I get a call from leasing agent saying they cannot offer me a three month and they will be returning my money.I should have not gone any further with the leasing process but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and signed for 7 months.I walk into my apartment and start to notice how filthy it is. Ants are everywhere, the ac didn’t work the first night, now we have a leak in the bathroom. Neighbors are awful and loud.I went and took it upon myself to email the manager and the assistant manager of my concerns and the assistants response was “We will contact your neighbors, and put in pest control. You will need to submit those maintenance request online.” That’s it. No apology, no understanding, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. No wonder why this place has horrible reviews. Don’t lease here. Absolutely horrible.

Just wanted to leave a quick review of what I’ve experienced through the move in process and living situation at the Dwell! My husband and I had been looking for an apartment for a few months, after going to multiple properties we came across the Dwell. As first time renters we were really looking for not only a great apartment but also great apartment office staff. We were able to find both at this complex. From the start we had awesome help and guidance from Desiree. She was very helpful through the tours and the whole “getting approved” process. Don’t let me forget the multiple calls we made just to make sure we were doing everything properly. The approval process was smooth and easy. Brittany was awesome and very helpful as well! She helped us through the move in process. She throughly went through everything with us to make sure we understood everything . Which I greatly appreciate! The only thing we have noticed that we wish would improve would be the people who don’t pick up after their dogs. We’ve got 2 of our own and I promise it’s not that hard to pick up after your dog. This is not maintenances job to pick up after your animal. Maintenance has been very responsive to any issue we have come across, and has taken care of it immediately. I cannot thank all of these individuals enough for their help in the process of us moving/living here. We are both very happy and satisfied with our decision to live here.

After looking around at other apartments in the area it became clear Dwell at Legacy was the best option, absolutely beautiful apartments, and amenities. Even better than the apartments is the stellar service from the leasing office staff. From the moment I applied until I got my keys they moved fast and were very communicative. They are fast to respond the email and calls and have made my move in and first few weeks here better than I could have imagined. If you’re looking for somewhere to call home, Dwell at Legacy is your best bet.

UPDATE 4/30/2020The problem has been resolved and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you Dwell at Legacy staff for taking care of your residents.UPDATE 3/23/2020:In response to the message from The Dwell At Legacy Team ... I have reported the noise to the office on three different occasions. The individual I spoke to stated that I am not the first to report the issue. She stated that the previous tenants had the same problem. In regard to the nasty odor coming from the vents, I submitted a maintenance request twice in the past couple of months. The work orders were completed with the comment, “NO SMELL.”As of today, the noise disturbance is ongoing and the odor still exists.•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••I have been at this place 3 months and I’m not as happy as I thought I would be. The location is great and my apartment is cozy. The problem is that there is so much noise coming from the neighbors upstairs. Constant banging, stomping, furniture moving, kids and dog running, music playing, etc. I never sleep!!! Also, there is a nasty odor coming through the vents every time I turn on the AC/Heater. I originally planned to stay here as long as I needed but I’m already counting down to the end of my lease.

Today I went to the leasing office to ask them to put my daughter as an occupant on my lease, they told me that I had to fill an application and pay $60 for an application fee. The reason I am upset is because when I signed my lease I told the agent that my daughter would be coming in to stay with me for a little while, and she told me that it would not be a problem. It became a problem real quickly because the agent that did my lease doesn’t work here anymore! I need them to do it for me any they could careless!

Before calling this luxury place home, make sure you look at all the reviews about this place! Management does not care about their reputation nor about their tenants. I see people review this place with a 5 star rating which is not what this place deserves. There are more bad things than good about this place after living here for a year. Such as mold infestation, fungus growth inside of the pool, no doggy bags, lots of pit bulls and the atrocious landscaping that gets butchered on a daily basis! If you want to live someplace where there is mold inside of your apartment, this is the place for you! Many people who we have met over the year at Dwell have complained about mold issues in their apartment, and management does not seem to care about their tenants health. You can see for yourself about the mold issues if you look at other reviews. As for myself, I’m a dog owner and love dogs, but the amount of pit bulls that the management allows at this place is ridiculous! Some days I’m afraid to walk my dog outside or to the dog area after she was attacked by one, who hopped over their backyard fence. When we complained to management about our little dog being attacked, all they said was they notified the dog owner. Make sure to buy your own doggy bags, as there is hardly any in the dog stations. There is also the lack of dog owners whom choose not to pick up after their pets.Maintenance here is mediocre, and have been replaced by different crews over the year that I have lived here. In addition, we were charged for pest control, but had numerous encounters with ants and roaches inside and outside of our apartment, as well as our neighbors apartment. The landscaping company should be ashamed of what they have done to this place, as there is excessive water run off of sprinklers and the butchering of the lawn on a weekly basis! If you’re a person who wants security where you live, I would not recommend this place as the security gates are always broke, and the lack of lighting in and outside of the apartments that never work. There has been numerous car break-ins and the theft of rims off of cars, due to the lack of security.I would suggest doing your homework on the place you wish to call your home, before living at this so called luxurious living establishment. It’s kinda sad when a management team has to post mischievous forged 5 star ratings with short one liners about this dump. Don’t be fooled with the beautiful landscaping out in front of the leasing office, and the friendly management approach when visiting this dump.

I CANNOT WAIT TO BE FINISHED WITH THIS PLACE. It has now been more than 30 days and I havent received my deposit. This place went downhill quickly after a new property management company took over. I have heard ZERO good things about 3 other friends moving out recently. The new manager is incredibly unhelpful and never returns your calls. I dont know why anyone else even works there because everyone you talk to cant do anything other than take your name and number and give it to the manager. They told me to call corporate, and corporate told me I needed to speak to the property. GET IT TOGETHER DWELL. If I do not have a check in hand or am told that it is in the mail by tomorrow, Im reporting this company to the state for not returning my deposit in a timely manner.BEWARE MILITARY PERSONNEL. Close friends recently moved out on military orders and this management team tried to charge outrageous lease-breaking fees. Tried blaming it on old staff instead of working with a military family. They spent weeks making calls and sending emails during an international move to a new base to finally get the fees waived. Dwell still kept their deposit... Not a smart thing to do in San Antonio to a military family I feel.... Warn your military friends to stay away from this property and this management company.

Where do I even begin. I recently move into these apartments from out of town. My apartment was no where near ready for me to move in. The office staff handled the situation poorly. I leased with the assistant manager who lacks communication. Everything that could go wrong went wrong and her response was this is the best they/I can do. I received my apartment as if someone moved out and she just gave me the keys right after.( A few pictures are attached of the unit she expected me to move in.) The unit she transferred me to was missing the washer and dryer and the next day my toilet did not flush. I had to fix my toilet after waiting almost 5 hours for maintenance to not show up. After reading most of the reviews I could not agree more with the office staff lacking professionalism.SIDE NOTE: If you have a service/emotional support animal I would take a look at your pet addendum. The assistant manager stated it is standard for the fees to be listed and could not be removed . Which is NOT true. I expressed to her If I signed the addendum with the fees I am agreeing to pay them . Which under fair housing laws you can not charge any fees associated with a service/ESA animal. Her response I dont think we can take that off . Myself in the industry I knew that was a lie . Which I responded yes you could. Her response let me try Ive never done it before. Well if youve never done it before how would you know that it can not be removed? After the all of the events that occurred with my move in all the manager offered to do was credit me 10 days. Which is still NOT reflecting my ledger. Overall I am extremely dissatisfied with the staff & my move in experience.

For luxurious apartments and what youre paying this place is definitely far from it. They also advertise their infinity pool but it looks more like a swamp! There is algae growing around it and it is never maintained! You pay for valet trash but it is not picked up till at least 8:00 or sometimes they dont even pick it up at all! Horrible property. Stay away. It’s dated, dirty, and falling apart. This office does NOT have their sh*t together. Not to mention the blatant negligence of their maintenance “staff” (really just 1 kid that does his best to make patches to problems)If you like to live among renters with pit bulls, who don’t pick up after their dogs (never bags in the dog stations), if and you’re okay with none if the amenities working as it should like gates and exterior lighting (very dark and dangerous at night), a dirty swimming pool full of strangers that don’t live at the complex, neglected landscaping, insect infestations (despite paying a monthly fee for pest control) then this is the place for you! Did I mention the numerous cars broken into at least once a month? And there’s not nearly enough parking spaces inside the gate! So you better spend the additional $140/mo for a private garage so your vehicle isn’t broken into. After living here a year and never once being late on rent they hit us with a $105 late fee due to their own lack of organization. I wasn’t going to leave a nasty review but after all the hoops we jumped through to be “perfect tenants” they still found a way to nickel and dime us.Also, our mini schnauzer was viscously attacked by a Pitbull that lived at this complex. The management here did nothing nor cared. Then denied any pit bulls lived at the property. If you have small dogs or children, beware. There’s AT LEAST 6 pit bulls that live at Dwell.Compared to a lot of our neighbors that we made friends with over the years, our experience wasn’t nearly as bad as others. Check out all the reviews about the mold growth and water leaks. It’s real folks. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. That’s it!

The only reason I am giving them one star is because I have to. This used to be a good place to live until new management took over. I had a leak in my apartment which then Lead to mold because they didn’t care for it properly. Then my floors came up and they just put Caulk in between the floor and the ground. When I finally was able to move out I accidentally paid a whole months rent albeit they wouldn’t refund me and now I know why they claimed my apartment had so much damage that they dipped into what they owed me for my overpayment and took my entire deposit, refusing to refund me anymore. Oh and did I mention they charged me for a pet clean, carpet clean, and replacing the whole carpet because that makes sense

Where do I even begin with this nighmare?! TRULY A NIGHTMARE! Everything was fine until management changed and Hurricane Harvey (late August). When the hurricane came through, it blew off shingles on our roof that were NEVER replaced, after countless requests.Fast forward to October and I started feeling awful all the time..I couldnt think straight, started having anxiety attacks for no reason, developed psoriasis and what felt like arthritis. I also had Shingles on my face in January due to the stress the living conditions were having on my body. My Internist instructed me to test for mold due to my symptoms. Sure enough, the apartment tested positive for black mold.We spent months fighting the apartment on letting us out of our lease due to my health and the bills incurred. We finally got out of our lease, BUT it only happened once we involved lawyers. We had to sell and donate almost all of our belongings once we moved to safe environment due to the mold. This place TRULY ruined our lives and my health. I now have physical conditions I did not have prior. I could go on with countless other facts, but I wont. Please see photos of the un-repaired roof and black mold stains in the landings. The roof was not fixed UNTIL after we moved out (early March)...7 months later.

We moved to SA in June of 2016 and signed a lease at Dwell at Legacy. At first glance everything was near perfect. The complex has a friendly staff, great amenities, etc. After a few months in our apt we notice minor disturbing details such as the cheaply painted walls, (if you rub against the wall the paint literally will come off), sloppy caulking, and the fact you can hear your upstairs neighbors flush their toilet every time. More so, a water pipe broke and flooded our apt (8209) and the apt below us & caused 18k worth of damages. The regional management handle the situation poorly. We’ve moved to a different apt (not by choice). In building six, second floor with a poor view and smaller rooms and closets. We were told the complex did not have any 2brd vacancies available( they could’ve upgraded us a 3brd apt but they declined). In our new apt master bedroom closet we noticed the roof looked as if it had a previous repair. Three weeks later our roof began to leak AGAIN! We were told that this apt and the apt above us had previous water damage from a pipe & roof leak. My wife and I were beyond upset because the management purposely moved from us from one water damage apt to another water damaged apt. Not to mentioned, mold began had been growing on the surface of the 2x4s once maintenance opened the walls. We’ve asked management for two months’ rent free and moving expenses to offset our frustration and stress we’ve encounter with the leaks and they declined! They did not counter our offer with reduce rent or anything along those lines, their best proposition was to move us AGAIN to a different apt which we declined, my wife is five months pregnant & this would’ve been two moves in 2 months. We’ve contacted the company’s chain of command and are currently waiting for a response. We will keep you updated. Check out the pictures below

Where to begin about this place…Overall, pretty place not worth the price run mostly by clueless, unhelpful people save for a couple great folks. For the full scoop, read on.Upon referring a new resident to receive the advertised $1000 rent credit, I was informed by several employees (my phone calls to them, not vice versa) including the property manager, Estelle, that this would be applied to my July payment. July came and I was charged the full amount. Estelle was utterly unhelpful, refusing to reimburse me or better the situation with any concessions or incentives—all this after I’d called a day prior to ensure July was covered only to be met with the promise of a return call from Estelle which never came because she “got busy.”Our fourth-floor unit’s ceiling leaked terribly during several heavy rainstorms. The first “inspection” was brief and yielded no action whatsoever. Fast forward a few weeks and the leaks are back, but worse. It wasn’t properly inspected and repaired until much later leaving water stains that remain throughout. The pool is rarely serviced leading to green buildup on its floor and walls—even in high-use seasons like Spring and Summer. The building one elevator worked 75% of the time and was dirty 100% of the time in our first year with at least a month with no inspection sheet displayed. The gym trash bin is emptied almost as rarely as its towelette dispenser is filled. Towels are also rarely accessible. The bedroom rug began separating from the floor beneath after mere months of light traffic. The clubhouse does not alert you when they’ve received a package on your behalf and instead expects you to inquire about and retrieve it yourself. Never mind the fact that the multiple employees sit just feet away from where they keep them and only seem leave the office for the occasional tour, leaving more than enough time for a courtesy call. The dog wash station was not operational whatsoever—no water, no hose. The gates are nonfunctional when the wind picks up even slightly—if there’s any more than a light breeze, plan your exits and entries accordingly. The parking lot can be an absolute headache with few to zero vacant spots past 10 p.m.Don’t let the outward appearance fool you. This complex may look nice, but under the façade is a cheaply made series of small, pricey floorplans run by a revolving door of friendly but incompetent people led by the least attentive property manager in the business—issues that no number of happy hours or onsite food trucks can make up for.Save your money and look down the street at the many other options Sonterra Blvd has to offer. Trust me, you’ll be better off.

Wouldnt recommend this place, even to my worst enemy! Units are cheaply made, and after a few months we noticed it smelled like an animal died in the walls. When signing the lease, we were told the contract ended in May, and were never told we have to let office know two months in advance that we plan to move at the end of our lease. Told office girls in April that we were moving but still paying until May, and they said thats fine. Got a call two weeks after moving saying we have to pay until june (60 days after move out date), and when we asked if there were any other options, the girl was extremely rude and stated threateningly that that was the only option or she would send us to collections.Waited a month for the deposit (they stated they would send it thirty days after move out originally). Called them asking where it was, and they said it would be sent thirty days after the sixty day payment, even though we were already out of that miserable place. Waited FORTY days after the sixty days and called again, to which we were put on hold and hung up on three times until we could speak to someone. She said sometimes it takes longer and it miraculously showed up the very next day. However, the one check had three peoples names on it (myself, boyfriend AND cosignor) even though we specifically asked for separate checks. Had to drive three hours to our cosignor so we could all go to the bank TOGETHER to cash it in. Literally a nightmare. Warning: STAY FAR AWAY
