Such a beautiful venue and a very smooth process for renting. Owner is so nice and easy to work with. They even stopped in w/ a bottle of champagne and toasting glasses on our wedding day. I couldnt be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Cains Cove!

My husband and I are very grateful to have been given the chance to have a memorial for a loved one while looking out at Lake Nasworthy. Our loved one very much enjoyed the lake and being able to celebrate his life with the view of the water was much appreciated. The facility is in a great location and includes all the amenities. My (then) fiancé and I booked Cains Cove back in December for our Labor Day 2017 wedding! Sitting here the day after, I can truly say that this is a dream venue. The lake setting is beautiful for a west Texas wedding, even on a 96 degree day at the end of the summer. The breeze and shade from Chris Cains well-planted trees made the ceremony comfortable and the patio worked out great later in the evening when the rain came. It is a complete blessing to have selected a venue where I didnt need to consider a plan B! Chris is fantastic to work with and has a deep network with other San Angelo wedding vendors that helped to make my special day come together. My Pennsylvanian family was very impressed to see this picturesque location and experience Texan hospitality. We would book here a hundred times over - thank you Chris!

My husband and I got married March 24, 2018 and the venue was absolutely perfect. Chris owner of the venue just remodeled the inside and upgraded the outside. With the renovations we had a bigger dance floor and an amazing side area filled with crushed granite where Fiddle Fire catering company was able to set up there old wagon as picture props. The sunset is absolutely gorgeous and this is the best place to get married in San angelo with an amazing view, beautiful trees, and green grass. I thank Chris for working night and day to get the venue in perfect shape before my big day.

Cains Cove is a beautiful venue for all occasions. The best part is having half a day on Friday, the whole day Saturday, and half a day Sunday. Plenty of time, no rush, less stress, and more time w/ family and friends. Beautiful scenery, plenty of room, amenities to accommodate a large event, and a nice size dressing room.

I was there for an event on 7/20/16. The Hideout was the perfect venue for our event. The facilities are clean and comfortable and despite the heat, it stayed nice and cool inside. The grounds are beautiful and made for some awesome pictures. The grass was soft and sticker-free so I was able to run around barefoot and you dont find that in West Texas often :) This would be the perfect place for a family reunion or company picnic. I have also attended a wedding at Cains Cove in the past and it was equally beautiful. Both venues are perfect for your next gathering; highly recommended!!!

This place has been such a blessing to our family during our Union. Staff is simply a blessing and so courteous I would recommend it to any of my loved ones or friends here in town to definitely check it out if theyre deciding to get married. Its also such a beautiful place to get married you should definitely look into it.

My husband and I had our wedding out there, It was beautiful! I especially loved the lighting in the trees. The lake behind, the gazebo is absolutely stunning. We thought it was very romantic, and so personal for such a special day. The owner is awesome, and very good to work with. I would recommend renting the venue. You cant beat the location, and the view.

We rented this venue for our wedding, and it was wonderful! The owner is extremely friendly and kind, and is willing to work with you on your needs. The venue itself is gorgeous, plenty of yard space for photos, and the inside is very large as well! A large fridge and a large freezer are available in the kitchen, there is an extra room for the bridal party to get ready in! The yard was a little messy when we were setting up, having left over decorations from a previous wedding laying around, but the owner let me know beforehand that he had to be out of town so he wasnt able to double check the place after the lawn crew went out there. It honestly wasnt all that much though, just a few things to pick up and throw away. The price is good for the amount of space and for getting the venue for 48 hours! Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place for a wedding or important event!

If I could put 10 stars...I would!! I recently held my wedding/reception at Cains Cove over the weekend, and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The venue looked EXACTLY as it does in the photos, Chris Cain (the Owner) made sure every single light bulb was turning on, they cleaned and manicured the entire lawn place before the big day, and accommodated our every need. The big grass area was perfect for the kids, and the outside patio was perfect for the dancing. Chris was EXTREMELY responsive any time we had questions. If you, or anyone you know, is looking for a venue for a wedding, family reunion, etc. Cains Cove is the place to be!

Had my daughters wedding at The Hideout this weekend and had a wonderful time! Facilities were spacious, clean, well air conditioned and the owner was very helpful. Couldnt have asked for a better day. Had around 300 people and it never felt crowded. The grounds were will taken care of and made for beautiful pictures. Lights were added outside and lit a large area at night. Would highly recommend it!

I always tend to get a bit anxious meeting/talking with new people, but I never even hesitated to call or text Chris Cain once I met him. He is extremely approachable as well as flexible. I could not have asked for a better person to book a venue, as his demeanor allayed wedding stress.The venue itself is wonderful as it is, and only gets better once decorations go up! My wife and I had a wonderful time and many of our guests conplimented us on the venue itself. Overall great experience!

We booked this venue for our wedding in March. The worse part is you can’t ever get ahold of Chris the owner! The automatic hand dryers were broken and we had to buy paper towels to use instead- which Chris should have bought for us. He eventually came to fix the one in the men’s restroom after we kept calling him to fix them but the women’s restroom still wasn’t working. The venue was still dirty when we started to set up. There were drinks still in the fridges that we had to clean. The chairs are all different- some small some bigger. Almost 10 tables were not able to be used as we needed because they were broken when Chris told us we had enough tables for 200 people and that wasn’t the case, and they are all messed up and need some help. He kept asking us if we wanted to buy lights from him and after many attempts of saying no, he still wouldn’t stop asking. The day of the wedding none of the heaters worked and after asking him to come fix it or check it out he took over 2 hours to get there. Then the kitchen breaker went off and we had to call him for that too and it took forever to get fixed and the wedding was started soon. He was showing the venue to random people while we were there getting ready in the morning which is very rude and he should have asked us first! Everything was not how he said it would be and we were very upset about it. He never mentioned that we might need a sign since all his venues were being used and everyone thought our wedding was the other weddings. After all that money we spent on the venue it wasn’t nearly how he said it would be. We didn’t even get some money back for all the troubles we had! I would not recommend going here you can’t ever get in touch with Chris. We had to leave to get to our honeymoon and he wouldn’t even answer to give the key back! Very very rude and not helpful at all! We are some of the easiest people to deal with and we got ignored many times and it’s very rude and unprofessional!!

This place is just as beautiful as the pictures! Perfect area for a wedding!! Chris, the owner of Cains Cove, was FANTASTIC and answered all of my million questions about my wedding coming up! We drove from Coleman to look at this venue and I am SO glad we did!! Booked it on the spot. 5 stars!

I just painted the signs on the banquet hall and this place is beautiful! Amazing views and relaxed atmosphere! A great place for a wedding or event!

We used the Hideout for a family gathering Saturday before Easter. It was perfect. There were about 35 adults, several children under the age of 7 and a few teens. The little ones had an Easter Egg hunt. A few people were fishing and some were tossing a football. Inside we had plenty of room for everyone to eat and visit. The view from the windows was fantastic.

This is a beautiful venue. My family was blessed to meet here for a Memorial BBQ after my dad passed away. Chris was wonderful to work with. I can not imagine a better place to have been during that time.

Ive been to many events out here and am more impressed with each visit.You can tell the management is constantly maintaining the property and making improvements on a regular basis. The fact that its right on the lake makes it even better.I would highly recommend anyone looking for a unique venue for an event to give this place a try!

Very beautiful gazebo that we used and our pictures were amazing. The walk way is kinda rocky is I was a bit scared in my high heels (so careful what you wear ladies) but it’s a great location and the owners were very sweet people! Everything went smooth(:

This venue worked out great for the event we held for our association! It was clean and ready for us to move in on the day we had reserved. Also the location is secluded and on the lake so you don’t have to worry about a lot of traffic noise and the kids and be outside playing. Highly recommend!

My family and I visit Lake Nasworthy pretty frequently seeing as we have a house on the lake right around the corner from Caines Cove. We are planning for an event there in the coming year and have a few friends who have rented the beautiful property for weddings, parties, and other gatherings. The venue is absolutely stunning in the evening with the sunset on the lake and all of the lights up and glowing, it is always clean and well manicured when we drive by. I would recommend this venue ten time over to anyone who needed a place for an event, its absolutely marvelous.

We had my companys BBQ for our employees and customers today at Cains Cove. The facilities are excellent. The grounds are very well kept with plenty of chairs and tables as well as a kitchen area with coolers and reach in refrigerator. While we had our food catered, they have a very large smoker and BBQ pit. We will definitely use the facility again and would recommend it to anyone.

We just had our wedding there yesterday and it was absolutely AMAZING! The owner was great, the place is beautiful and very romantic, the inside was a blank canvas which is awesome for decorating, and there was plenty of room for all of our guests! I am so happy that we chose Cains Cove, everything turned out perfect!!

Attended a party here this week.....it was perfect. Chris took care of everything we needed. I would recommend this place for all kinds of social gatherings. The building is in great shape, there is plenty of parking, and the view/access of Lake Nasworthy is outstanding.

Ive lived overseas (Spain) for 25 years I was in San Angelo for Christmas 2016 and went to a wedding at Cains Cove. I was very surprised after all these years to see such an incredible venue in my hometown. A must see place if your planning a wedding.

I planned my daughters wedding in San Angelo from out of state. Not only is Cains Cove absolutely beautiful but owner Chris Cain was beyond helpful! Not knowing the area was a disadvantage and Chris went out of his way for us.
