Happened to be at City Creek and knew my wife was having A bad day. So I stopped in at Kay Jewelers just to see if I could find a quick pick me up for her. I didn’t want to spend a ton and hoped to keep things reasonable. The two women working were so nice and super helpful. They helped me find a unique diamond ring for a great price. I was just hoping it would fit, Im one of those husbands that doesn’t know their wife’s ring size. Took it home showed it to my wife and she immediately started crying. And guess what? It fit perfectly. Thanks Kay Jewelers, DEENA NAVARRETE and your coworker for the help.

Our children went to the City Creek Kay Jewelers store. They special ordered a wedding band. They were told it would be available in 2 weeks. When they called about coming to pick it up were told it would be another week until it’s in. Another week went by, they call in to arrange a pick up. Three weeks after they were told it would arrive they went to pick it up. They waited 1/2 hour to be greeted. Then we’re told there is no order for them. No one knew anything about their order and were told they needed to wait for the assistant manager to return who was out shopping. When she finally returned she told them that the ring isn’t available, wasn’t ever available and there’s no store to get it from. Completely undermined the engagement, no ring, photos coming and very disappointed kids. It’s unbelievable how Kay is still in business. Alexis the assistant manager was very impolite to them even rude. Very unwilling to help and so very unprofessional. Please reconsider shopping for jewelry here. We had to go elsewhere to make the purchase. Such a disappointment!!!

I took my brand new engagement ring in for sizing and when they sized it down, I asked for the gold they were extracting to be used to reinforce the prongs holding the diamond trio as they looked rather dainty.Then around the 6 month mark, I lost a diamond! I returned for the diamond replacement. They shipped it out and completed the work. I went to pick it up, they misplaced it but after some time, found it. The diamond was put in crooked. The wedding is fast approaching but I have to get this fixed before pictures of the ring!HORRIBLE! I now have to take it to another place to get this fixed. SAVE YOURSELF! Not to mention, the staff and specifically the manager is very rude and condescending. This was the City Creek location. I WILL NOT RETURN!

After several encounters at this location, I’ve experienced some of the most Incompetent people you can imagine. From hassles with routine maintenance to misplacing my valuables, it’s amazing they are still in business. I will fire sure use other jewelers to purchase and maintain my belongings.

I was trying to use my certificate at the store but they didnt have the piece of jewelry I wanted. Suzy called to get help to find out how they could make it work and do it fast,since it expired in a week. She got the item transferred to their store and I Ill be able to use my certificate. She was on the phone for a very long time and was so kind and courteous. Definitely my favorite store.

Lauren and Jimairy were so helpful and friendly. We walked into get my ring inspected and cleaned. They then showed us a case of beautiful rings that were heavily discounted. I ended up getting a white sapphire ring for less then $50! It was amazing. I didnt feel pressured to buy it. They had great customer service. I would highly recommend that if you need any jewelry you come here.

Me and my boyfriend stopped in to resize a ring and worked with Susie and Tanner! They were amazing. Tanner gave us great customer service and made us feel comfortable. Susie worked with us the whole time to ensure we had an amazing experience and was very friendly and outgoing. 10/10 would recommend this location.

I don’t buy jewelry often, but when I do, I seem to regularly end up at Kay Jewelers. I always shop around first and not only does Kay usually have the best price, but I’ve always been impressed by the customer service. This visit it was a gentleman named Saul. He was very attentive, very kind, and even when I said I was leaving before possibly coming back, he didn’t show any of the irritation or impatience that most sales people do if you’re “walking out.”I ended up returning and he had held the item I was looking at without me even asking or knowing if I’d return. That sealed the deal for me. When I went to purchase he then checked for any further sales and gave me an additional small discount. Because of that, I didn’t even hesitate to purchase the additional warranty through Kay.With this service, I will always shop at Kay. Thank you, Saul!

IF YOU READ ONE REVIEW, READ THIS!!This place is horrible. I came in to get my girlfriend an engagement ring and they pushed rings that were more expensive and not the style that I had asked for. I expressed that I did not want a halo but all they showed me were halos. Upon purchasing the ring I wanted, I bought the warranty so I could get resizing and rocks refitted, etc. Well, when I utilized this service to resize the ring, I was never notified that the ring was back in the store. Instead, I went in and found out it was just sitting in a drawer. When we got the ring, it fit alright, but not what we were expecting and the ring had an off tint to it. Flash forward to when we got our wedding bands, we bought one for me in store and ordered one for her that was not available in store but they would put the order in so we could pick it up. We were told 2-4 weeks to get the ring. After 12 weeks of checking in and being told nothing was there we spoke to the manager to which he said nice to meet you! when he was the one that sold us the ring and was supposed to order it. What did we find out? The ring had not been ordered. We finally got the band back and we noticed it fit different that the engagement ring. At this point, we were fed up so we took the rings to a different shop at which point we found out one ring was a 6 1/2 and the other was 5 1/4. The best part? We needed a 5 1/2, so nothing was right. On top of this, neither ring had been finished/polished and multiple stones were loose on both rings. Needless to say, I wasted my money on a warranty as I will never be using it. Horrible service, horrible quality, horrible company.

Walked in and waited 10 minutes for some one to help me, even tho there was no other customers in the store. There was a lady behind the counter who seemed to be doing nothing but never once even acknowledged us. The the store manager came out and said he would be with us in a minute. Turned out to be 10 minutes. Kind of odd. If you want me to buy something, you should probably make me a priority. Once he did start helping me, he was great. Very nice and knowledgeable.

Absolutely amazing staff. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Mick and Elliot went way out of their way for my wife and I. I have purchased from them multiple times now. I will always visit them at this store. Theyre relaxed, friendly and jovial. Apparently they have taken over for new management in the last few months. They create an amazing environment to shop in.

I understand the need to sell a product, but the lengths they went to to try to sell to us were not good. We went in knowing what we wanted and when we asked a sales representative she immediately tried to talk us out of our “cheap ideas” and tried to upsell us to something we didn’t want. After doing that, she tried to sell it by assuming the sale, and giving us a “discount”. When I told her I wasn’t interested she left me to talk to someone else. I would recommend taking my business elsewhere.

I had the best experience at this store - mostly with Lauren, but also with Suzy. I had purchased a ring from Zales online, but since there are no Zales locations in Utah, I was sent to this Kay location to have my ring repaired. Lauren was above-and-beyond helpful with my situation, incredibly friendly, and unbelievably accommodating. She even helped me exchange my Zales ring for a Kay ring when I found a Kay ring that I wanted. It was a long process coordinating with Zales, but she showed patience, never seemed frustrated with the situation, and never forgot about me (she called me several times over the course of a few weeks to check in and let me know she was still working on it). When I went back into the store to do the exchange, Lauren was busy helping another customer, so Suzy stepped in to call Zales. She told me that Lauren had already briefed her on the situation. These two made me feel valued as a customer, and I already know that my future jewelry purchases will be with this store. I cannot say enough good things about my experience!

Had a horrible experience here. My husband and I went in to browse, and found a pair of earrings we wanted to purchase. Stood around for a solid 20 minutes and no one helped us! We left without buying anything because of the horrible customer service. Really put a damper on our date! I dont think well be going back.

The staff here are very educated on their merchandise. Jake and Dan were very patient and made suggestions to help find me the perfect ring! When it came (they had to turn an engagement band into a wedding ring) it looked exactly as they said it would! 2 thumbs up!

The manager at this Kay is rude, and has horrible customer service skills. I went to this Kay when it was time for my diamond inspections. They have changed the way they do inspections, now it is on their computer instead of the using the paperwork, well all of my information apparently had not be input in to their system, and the manager refused to help me. He said they could not find me in the system and could not do anything for me! Really??? I had all of my paperwork with me, showing the purchase date and all of my inspections. Instead of helping me, by entering my information, he was rude and said there was nothing he could do and basically told me to get lost. I told him he was rude and not helpful. Shameful to have a MANAGER act this way. I plan to take my business elsewhere.

I went in tonight to ask them to clean my jewelry. Granted, I wasn’t a paying customer in the actual visit. However, it is a known service that jewelry stores clean rings for free (opportunity to sell something, helps build a relationship, etc— I know because I worked for years at another jewelry store.) Anyways, the lady looked at me and asked if I bought them there. I answered, “No.” I was unscrewing my diamond earrings and she told me they wouldn’t clean them because they “might lose them”.Terrible customer service, and if the employees don’t trust themselves not to lose with my diamond earrings, I don’t want them handling any of my jewelry. I promptly walked out. Would never buy anything from them.

Never go to kay. If you do, dont talk to jake. He straight up forgot to order our ring, we had to use a loaner ring, not at all close to our real wedding band, for our family pictures and wedding. They said they would rush order our real ring, but almost a month later they called and told us we think we have your wedding band but we arent sure, you need to come in and comfirm. Turns out it wasnt the right ring at all. They reordered the brides ring instead and here I am, more than a month later wearing the loaner ring still. Worst service ever.

Awful insensitive service members, after finding out we had a lower budget the initial sales rep pawned us off to a different person. They kept showing us rings over our budget and since they couldnt find one that was decently priced that still fit us and they recommended us to go to Clairs instead. They made an exciting trip into one that made us feel crappy because we couldnt afford a huge expensive ring. I would rate them 0 if I could.

Due to the uneducated staff we took our engagement ring off of layaway. Went in to make a payment and who knows what they did with the money. The following month they tried telling us we hadnt paid and that we owe a late fee which would affect our credit. We argued that we had made the payment and shouldnt get dinged because of their mistakes. The lady (who had been working with us knew us fairly well) said she remembered us being there that day but couldnt do anything about it.

The people working there dont know what theyre doing. They lied to me about my watch arriving date (It was sent out to be refurbished) I believed it has a promised date and a promise shouldnt be broken and specially a promise coming from such a prestigious company. My watch finnaly arrived after almost 4 months and they didnt even called me to let me know that the watch had arrived (I kept checking on it otherwise they probably wouldve kept it for more than a Year, Im sure)... after the watch being gone for almost 4 months getting refurbished, it came back looking almost the same way as when I first took it to them. On top of everything they still wanted me to sign and take the watch as it was. I refused to sign and sent it back again oh and ofcouse Im still without my watch. Im sure it still hasnt even been shipped out for refurbish and its just sitting in their safe after 1 month and a half. This is unacceptable and I should just received a call from the district manager Derrick...

Kay Jewelers in one of the most amazing and prestige jewelry stores I know! Im laughing at the negative reviews on here. One lady felt threatened and unsafe for declining a sale! Yeah, sure, what did they do point a gun and held you hostage til you made a purchase? Pllllease lady! Youre more stale than milk left out of the fridge for a week. And another person said they felt they were insensitive for recommending Claires. Im sorry but if you go into a prestige jewelry store like kay with the same rude attitude as your review and a $20 budget, then i would have recommended Claires to you also if i were them. Dont listen to the snobby people writing reviews on here. Kay jewelers is a great place and good for them for having a sense of humor. I cant stop laughing at the claires one! Sales reps do not know what they are talking about. They lie to get the sale. I was told several things about the ring I purchased and when I went verify those things they were all untrue. I will never step into another kay jewlers again! Especially this location.
