This is a great dental office. No frills get it done team is super professional. From Michelle at the front to a great hygienist, Rachel, to the assistant Julia, the experience there is great. The dentists are great too, of course;)

Ive been going to Genesis Dental now for 6 years and have always had a very positive experience. Dr. Boyack really cares about my concerns and addresses them with a lot of detail, understanding, and compassion. My daughter has also had her orthodontics taken care of, and Ive been very impressed. Its definitely been a win/win!

Wow! I had so many fears of the dentist but they are disappearing with each experience at Genesis. They are gentle, sympathetic, and efficient. I’ve never been left waiting in the chair for the doctor. And they work really well with those without insurance (like me) making it affordable and are upfront about the prices beforehand. I’ve done cleanings and had cavities filled.

I feel like the doctor over treated when I went last October. I get my cleanings done regularly, and I might have a small cavity once a year or every two years. However, once I came here for a crown replacement, I suddenly had ~7 cavities as well.They couldnt keep my temporary crown on, and it kept falling off after a day or so. Repeated trips did nothing, and the temp crown kept falling off. 8 months later and my permanent crown pops off. Ive never had so many issues stem from one dental visit.Guess I need to keep looking for a new dentist

Overall a great teeth cleaning experience. The hygienist was fantastic. I have my first cavities. After the dentist showed me them, it would have been nice if he had taken a moment to explain the options for treatment before laying out a suggested plan. I didnt feel like I fully understood what was going on in my mouth before he left. The hygienist answered my questions afterwards.

My first visit to this office. Great experience. Really good handling of my reception and hand off to the team with minimal wait. The hygienist Rachel was friendly and informative and her summary to the dentist seemed thorough and efficient. Dr Ho followed up with her exam, worked on a bothersome tooth and I was on my way. Dont go here unless you like having your fillings break, you like to be overbilled, and/or you like to deal with policies like putting a deposit down for appointments.I had some fillings done by Dr. Boyack in January 2020. After continuous billing errors and weird policies, I decided to go back to my old dentist, even though the location wasnt convenient. During my routine cleaning yesterday, one of Dr. Boyacks fillings broke off! Its only 1.5 years old. Now I have to get that filling redone, as well as another one of Dr. Boyacks fillings due to the poor quality. I will probably have to get a third filling redone too, as my dental hygienist noticed that it feels unstable.Also, dont trust the positive reviews - they are falsely inflated. Whenever you go in for an appointment, they try to incentivize you to specifically leave them a 5 star review with raffles.

Just got a Root Canal done. Yes I know not the funnest thing. However this office made the experience painless and efficient. Michelle up front had the consents I needed to sign all prepared for me. They took my right back where Hailey prepared me for the procedure. Dr Boyack administration of the injection was painless and worked excellent I did not feel a thing!! I’m on my way to recovering from a tooth that has been bothering me for over a year! I can’t recommend this office enough!!!

I found Genesis dental by looking at different dentist who were in network with my insurance. I chose where I was going based solely upon my gut instinct while looking at the pictures of the different dentists! 😂 I was 100% spot on for this place! EVERYONE there was so wonderful from beginning to end. First I was welcomed immediately and warmly by the receptionist then I got to hang out with the awesome, knowledgeable, kind and informative duo - Hailey - the dental assistant and Cori the Hygenist. They were excellent at their skills and fun to hang out with too! They even mentioned how great Dr.Boyack is and how his positive and calm demeanor sets the tone for the whole office. Highly recommended! 5/5 stars easily!

My favorite dental hygienist of all time (Cori) helped me today and did such a great job, as well as being such a joy to interact with! Dr Boyack helped me with a quick problem and I was out of there quickly and feeling great.

I am so happy with Genesis Dental! Dr. Boyack is the best dentist I have ever been to and easily the kindest. He was my orthodontist way back around 2007 and has always been amazing. I have had some bad experiences with dentists and was pleased to have found Dr. Boyack again. This office is affordably priced and works with so many different insurances. This was my first experience with Genesis, I arrived late and ran into construction but they still worked with me. Vicki was the one that scheduled me. She worked diligently to get a time that would work with my schedule and was able to reach out when I asked her to. Heidi was very kind and even though I arrived late, she still made the time to compete my appointment. Everyone was very good at explaining everything and answering all my questions. We will continue to visit Genesis.

Worst experience anyone could ask for, went in for a service they they couldn’t even finish!! Stitched me up and sent me on my way like nothing happened!! Now I have to go to a surgeon to finish the work they started! And to top things off, they write me a wrong prescription. Please avoid this place!

Very friendly staff. The place is very clean and smells nice too. Dr.Boyack gave my son a option to use a medicated toothpaste for his cavity instead of just drilling on his tooth right away, as other dentist would have done. That made me feel good to have changed of dentist.

Absolutely incredible!! The downtown location has been treating my family and me for years. Dr. Boyack is great. And the office is equally wonderful. They treated my wife while she was going through radiation and Chemotherapy. Her dental needs require specific and special attention. Not only did they take special care of my wife, the office sent her flowers when she went to hospice care. You just don’t find people like this anymore. They are a truly a caring staff. Thank you!!

Dr. Boyack is intelligent, caring, and has a great sense of humor. He worked with me on a pulled tooth and a subsequent implant (which was an emotional experience for me as it took longer than expected- to no fault of Dr. Boyacks). Dr. Boyack was kind and patient during the whole process. He is fair, honest, and ethical (which can be hard to come by in a dentist in Utah as there is an overabundance of them and they need to make a living). He is quick and efficient and offers early and late appointments. Lastly (and most importantly!) Dr. Boyack is the only dentist Ive ever been to where I dont feel pain.

The place is really good as I’ve been here in the past as well. Dr boyack is impeccable and Taryn too. They’re good and professional and would highly recommend them. Plus the office Assistant Angie she’s so good too! All in all perfect place.

Everyone at Genesis was relatively nice (at first) but unfortunately I had a very poor experience. They originally told me that I had a bunch of cavities which I thought was weird because I had gone to a different dentist the month prior and they didnt mention that. However, I decided to take their advice and have several fillings done on the same day. Afterward, I had extreme tooth pain in multiple areas where the fillings were done which Ive never experienced before. After several rounds of coming back into their office for remedies, refillings, etc, I was told there was nothing more they could do. The pain was absolutely debilitating and even caused a jaw misalignment from not being able to eat on one side of the mouth. I eventually had to have a root canal done to alleviate the pain which didnt exist before the fillings occurred. Im mostly upset because I was told there is nothing that they could do even though they caused the subsequent pain and treated me like I was lying afterwards. Ive now paid a lot of money for root canals to simply stop the pain that they caused which didnt exist before. I would advise others to do a lot more digging before they choose a dentist in the future. Lesson learned.

Update: The owner of Genesis Dental reach out to me regarding my bad experience. He was very helpful and understanding about my situation. He offer me a $100 credit to my account and help me schedule an appointment to a different office. I did went to the appointment schedule at Taylorsville dental clinic and the staff was amazing.I have been going to this location for a couple of years but unfortunately I had a horrible experience. I had an appointment today for a cleaning and their new hygienist did a terrible job. This hygienist hurt me while doing a standard cleaning and did a very poorly job in cleaning. While I was being examined she told I needed a deeper clean due to gingivitis but she failed to do it. While I was getting check out I was told I needed to pay a co-pay due to the extra cleaning and extra work they did for me. I was very upset because I have never paid a copay for a cleaning before and she didn’t do nothing different compare to other standard cleaning I had in the pass. I have decided to change dentists.

I love Genesis Dental! I called yesterday for an appointment today and they didnt have any available. I asked if I could be put on the cancellation list and they called me this morning to fill a cancellation spot. I hustled over there and they got me in even though it took me 15 min longer to get there than I thought it would. Seth was great, had me laughing the whole time he was polishing my teeth.

Genesis Dental was recommended by a good friend when I needed a cleaning and checkup. I was impressed by how nice, friendly, pleasant and understanding the entire staff was! The hygienist was highly skilled and cleaned my teeth quickly and efficiently with no pain at all, and my previous checkup/cleaning was over 2 years ago! Im even returning next week to have two cavities addressed and Im planning to continue using Genesis Dental.

Excellent visit. Just a cleaning, but it was done well. I’m not so good with names, but my hygienist was great (Teri maybe? She was filling in for the day from another office). She was very thorough and explained what was causing the changes in my teeth and gums. She also suggested several options to better support my teeth. I saw the doc only briefly, and he was pleasant as usual.

Excellent customer service live coming for my cleaning to Genesis Dental. Today Hannah especially was very attentive and detailed as she was cleaning my teeth. Ive had a few others before who clean my teeth but Hannah really knew what she was doing. I would highly recommend Genesis Dental for excellence staff and service.

I have had the best time working with the team at the Salt Lake office. Cori is a rockstar in the dental hygienist world while dealing with my imperfect teeth. Lets just say that I had quite a few years of not taking proper care of my teeth as a young adult which Im now paying the consequences for. In July 2018, I had a procedure done to put a new crown on my implanted tooth. It was not an emergency and I was willing to wait until the next year to have it done, especially if my insurance would not cover most or all of it. I made that very clear to the person at the front desk. That person called my insurance and told me that the procedure would be covered by them. I asked her if she was sure of that (because Id had an experience earlier in the year in which I got stuck with a bill of over $300 after theyd told me insurance would cover that procedure) and I was told not to worry about it and that it would be covered. I paid them $557.50 that day and trusted that my insurance would cover the rest as Id been reassured. Three months later, I received a huge bill, which I disputed and was told by the Genesis Dental front desk that they would take care of it. Three months after that I received the same bill with an added service fee for late payment. I was understandably upset and called again to dispute it. I was told that they were not at fault and that the amount was my responsibility to pay. They said that if I wanted to talk to anyone about it that I should talk to my insurance. When I called my insurance, they revealed to me that they had offered to give the clerk at Genesis Dental information regarding my maximum but that Genesis Dental declined to receive that information. That information would have given them a good idea of how much of my procedure would be covered. Ultimately, Genesis Dental had declined to know my maximum from my insurance when offered that information and had misled me into believing that my procedure would be covered in any significant amount. Instead, I am being expected to pay over $900 total and out-of-pocket to this company that gave me their word that this would not be the case. This, to me, is a sign of NEGLIGENCE, DISHONESTY, and DECEPTION. They have been unwilling to reduce or write-off this balance that was wrongfully thrown on me after over a week of back-and-forths between me, Genesis Dental, and my insurance. My insurance has continually told me that Genesis Dental did not do their due diligence in providing me--the customer--with honest information to make an informed decision. Select Health Dental have recordings of all my calls. One call I received from them today confirmed that Genesis Dental outright declined to know information regarding my maximum benefits and still told me that my procedure would be covered. Genesis Dental continually denies responsibility for having misled me as a customer. Their owner and manager have been evasive about the fact that they declined to hear my maximum and actually claims that they had it along with all the information that [they] needed, which according to Select Health Dental is not accurate. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! THEY COAX CUSTOMERS INTO GOING THROUGH WITH PROCEDURES AND TRAP THEM WITH A HUGE BILL IN THE END. Im very frustrated, and I will never go there again.

After several years of trying multiple Dentists, found one I like, trust and respect.

The providers and staff were really nice and friendly. I liked that I could look out a window while I was waiting in the exam chair. However, I did feel like my well being came second to getting my money. They proposed all of these things that I suddenly needed and wouldn’t admit when there was something I felt I didn’t need. I’d say get a cleaning here, but get treatment somewhere else.

The staff here is very kind and thorough. My teeth feel nice and clean. Their office is also neat and I just think they run a good a business.

Dr. Boyack and his crew are so professional and personable I give them 5+ stars. I have already recommended them to many of my clients, friends and family for being stellar, competent and taking pride in what they do. Thank you, thank you, thank you again and again! Its been a long road trying to replace my dentist of 29 years, who passed away recently. I look forward to a long relationship with you!

UPDATE: The owner of genesis dental has reached out to us about the billing issues we experienced. He was willing to work with us and look into what went wrong in our situation. We did come to an agreement for a partial refund because of an error supposedly on the insurance company’s end. It was a long process to finally get a refund, but I’m grateful that we were able to get some of the money back and appreciate the offer from the owner. He seems like a standup guy despite the troubles we had with contacting the billing department.Had a billing issue from having multiple cavities filled after my very first visit at this office. I was quoted a price before I got my cavities filled that I was okay with. 3 MONTHS later I get my bill in the mail and it was over QUADRUPLE the amount they quoted me. My husband and I called and emailed them many times about the discrepancy. We were constantly being told that the billing person was not in office and did not receive timely responses to our emails. They kept giving us excuses and would not be straight with us. The office was not willing to work with us on the bill either. Don’t ever trust their price quotes! I would NOT recommend this office because they will stick you with a large bill in the end. They were not understanding of our situation and were not helpful. Buyer beware!!

These guys are great. I came in a few weeks ago with a broken tooth needing a root canal, which I just had today. Everyone I worked with were just incredibly pleasant people - Angie, the office manager, Shante, the assistant, and Dr Boyak (there was another assistant helping out from time to time but I didnt catch her name). My procedure took longer than anticipated, and finished almost 45 minutes after hours, but at no point did I get an impression of frustration or impatience from any of the staff. Angie helped me out with payment options, showing me the breakdown of costs, and my options for payment, including their Loyalty program, and the assistants and Dr Boyak made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. Honestly, considering the magnitude of the root canal, probably the best dental experience Ive had.
