This apartment complex has been very accommodating. Maintenance is always fairly on point and quick. The staff are very nice. And the amenities are fantastic for the price. I think this complex is an amazing find and I feel pretty lucky to have gotten a place here because everything that comes with it and the quality is unbelievable for the price that is charged.
Element31 is a first class property. Very high standards and kept very clean. Great amenities and excellent communication from the property managers.
Excellent Customer Service. Office Admin were very friendly, listened and addressed my concerns. Thank you!
Honestly, you have cooperative staff, a very nice manager, as well as a beautiful location. Overall, Element 31 at Brickyard Apartments is considered a tractive apartment to live in. I cant wait to move in.
My AC had stopped working over the weekend and it was particularly HOT! I called Tifani and she recruited Brad to fix it AND HE DID! No more grumpy Terresa.
Such a cool location! I love the pool area and how maintenance keeps the elevators and hallways smelling and looking so clean. Definitely recommend !
I lived at Element 31 for a year and a half. I have to say since they switched to Wasatch Management, my experience improved drastically. The management was responsive and very reasonable with residents requests. Although the elevator was broken more times than it should have and the floor plans were not the smartest, I would say my experience living there was mostly positive. I enjoyed the gym, the grill and the hot tub. The only thing I was really frustrated about was the internet. I have been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic, and my colleagues could not stop telling me that I was stuck during zoom meeting. I hope the new management team would work to resolve this issue soon.
I moved in to Element 31 in July 2020 and have really liked it here. I have seen reviews about this place that a lot of the issues must be from old management, I know the current team has only been here about 2 months. Since I have been here the new team has opened the gym and the pool that were previously closed. My Wifi works great and I have not had any problems since moving in! I dont know what the last review was talking about community fees because I have not had to pay anything that was not discussed about before move in, Maddie in the office has been helpful with any questions I have had and the whole staff is really great! I had put in a maintenance request and it was taken care of in about an hour! The management here has taken care of me and I love my new apartment!
Jason was great to work with when it came to helping me get into my new apartment. So far its been an awesome experience here with the amazing staff and residents!
Lived here for 6 months. It has been great! The office is very responsive and work to be as helpful as they can be. They try to learn everyones names as well. Every time I have had a work order, it has been taken care of promptly. The gym and the pools are some of the best parts of the apartment. I would love to see the resurfacing finished so I can use the hot tub...
Moved in nearly 3 weeks ago and I am already impressed by this place. . Not only is the apartment itself great, but the complex is very well maintained. The staff is amazing, and there is a good amount of amenities. They also host a little community event each month, this months being a get together in the clubhouse. They provided pizza and drinks and it was a fun time. A great way to get to meet the other residents of the complex.Ill definitely be going to more in the future.
Jason has been super helpful and I know he is a new manager here. The apartments are so open, I feel like everything is super elegant and of course the location is where everyone wants to be. I like that I can take Yiago to sugar house park and act a fool.
This place is amazing. The leasing agents are incredibly helpful, friendly and remember you by name. The community itself has fantastic amenities. Can’t wait for summer here and the roof top lounge! P.S. My bathtub drain was a little clogged like a week ago so I put in a maintenance request and it was fixed literally the next day!
I currently live at this property and really enjoy the amenities as well as it being walking distance to Harmons Grocery store. A bar also popped up within walking distance, so thats nice also. My unit was in new condition when I leased it and they keep the hot tub and common areas very tidy. Its a great place to call home!
The glorified mcdonald’s of apartment buildings. lived here for 10 months and my car was broken into 3x (which management refused to ever look into), our sink fell in randomly in the middle of the night (literally fell into the cabinets when the superglue-like molding failed), fire alarm went off without fail consistently AT LEAST every month at all hours of the day (sometimes until the fire department confirmed all was well), kids riding scooters down the hallways, puke and other such bodily fluid left near the elevator entrances on numerous occasions, elevators that only work 2 out of 4 weeks of the month, prioritizing the business employees parking that you share the parking garage with, broken smart home from day ONE that management said was our problem (after speaking to the company that owns it they confirmed it was actually managements problem, he just couldn’t be bothered with dealing with it) the list is endless. save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. they re-aged their account on yelp because the reviews were so awful. location isn’t worth the trouble.
Love our apartment. We’ve lived here for over 2 years. However recently the parking situation is unacceptable. You’re only allowed to purchase one spot behind the gate. While on vacation, our spot behind the gate wasn’t being used so I decided to park my car there. My car was towed and the tow company said it couldn’t be picked up today because they were closed. There is an office building that shares the parking garage with the apartment building that takes complete priority over the residents who pay a pretty penny to live here. There is no option for me to park my car here for situations like me being out of town. The tow company also monitors the strip mall across the street where they will tow your car if you leave it there overnight. This situation has made me consider finding a new place to live. There’s no loyalty to their tenants.
So far I’ve been extremely impressed with Element 31. The staff are extremely personable and helpful, the walls are thick so you can’t hear your neighbors, and it’s extremely dog friendly. Plus, it’s extremely safe. Between key fobs and gated garages it’s extremely secure.
I really love the staff and how easy they make everything. The apartment has a great view and the location is super convenient.
Move in was simple and easy, place was clean and the people are wonderful. Havent had an issue with anything yet, the parking is great and the office people are super friendly. Been here about 2 weeks hope our time here stays wonderful.
I just moved into this apartment complex 3 months ago but it has been a very good experience so far. I have had no issues with staff or management. The building is kept clean and orderly and the few maintenance requests I have put in have been answered in a timely manner. I also appreciate how pet friendly they are, and have been impressed with how quiet the building is. I have rarely heard any noises from the surrounding units or the hallways. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex!
The staff here is always so great and takes care of everything I need. I have been to many different apartment communities, but I havent felt like any place was as well maintained as this one! The pool and gym area are something else too! I would highly recommend living here.
Overall I love living at Element 31. The apartment is nice and spacious and they have lots of amenities and community activities. My biggest complaint is regarding noises -- there is a loud noise that comes from one of the parking garages that from my apartment sounds like loud banging. Also, the hot tub has been out of operation for months, which is a bummer, because it s a great place to socialize. All in all, great place :)
Colin was attentive, friendly, and helpful through the entire process. Would strongly recommend anyone to move here or check them out when in the market. Apartments are elegant with smooth flow and tons of natural daylight pouring in. The amenities are hands down some of the best Ive ever experienced too.
We just moved in three weeks ago and have loved our apartment experience so far. Martin and Collin were extremely helpful every step of the way while moving in and just so pleasant to work with. We immediately felt like we chose correctly after just a short time here. I love the gym downstairs and the jacuzzi year round has been great! This place is clean and modern, parking is secure and the whole building gives you a sense of security regarding safety concerns you might have from other apartment complexes. Great experience so far and I’d definitely recommend it to friends.
This has been a great place to live, until the recent parking updates. If you have a roommate (or significant other) and you both have a car, one of you will have to park outside across the street while the other one gets the parking garage. They dont seem to want to give out extra passes to park behind the gate, when there is plenty of space. What is the point of paying this high rent to use a parking garage if you cannot use it? For the price of rent here, we should both have parking spots in the garage. They explained that the office next door controls the the parking spots outside the gate, but nothing has been done to help residents who now have to park outside and shovel snow off their cars every morning this winter. Many residents see a parking garage as a great amenity, but the use of it here has been taken away from many of the residents. Those residents now have to leave their cars outside in a strip-mall parking lot.
When we were looking for an apartment community it was really helpful to read reviews so I wanted to contribute my experience at Element 31. We have had such a positive experience during our leasing, move in and settling process. We’ve been here a little over a month. I have had a few things we needed fixed and the maintenance team was there within 2 hours. It was fixed and ready to go and I appreciated the call ahead to make sure he could access the apartment. It’s clean in the building, the team is responsive and the people I interact with in the elevator are friendly! I have a baby so it’s hard to get to the leasing office to get packages and we had a large one delivered. They were kind enough to help me out and bring it up to our door. We also appreciate the 24 hour surveillance. We’re very glad we moved here. The location is awesome too I can walk to anything I need!
We moved in to this place in August of 2019 for an 11 month lease. We experienced all of these issues below with 0 compensation or understanding.1) The pool and jacuzzi were under maintenance/unusable more often than not. Yet we still paid for community fees for this.2) Base rent was $200 higher than originally agreed upon. And there the community fees add up to be an additional $100-150/month. (plus gas and electricity is on you)3) The dwelo home security system was extremely broken and did not function reliably. To get a replacement system with dwelo it took 3 months after moving in. (thats on Dwelo, not necessarily Element 31, but still a problem we had faced, and even on move in day it was broken)4) There were neighbors here that regularly smoked Marijuana in the 2nd elevator stairs or one of the rooms right by the 2nd elevator on the 2nd floor. (this is a no smoke zone property, nothing was ever done about this)5) There have been ongoing internet outages at this location for a minimum of 6 months, totally sporadic. According to the ISP at this location Vicidiem, it is because Element 31 refused to upgrade a faulty/out of date switch for the building. Causing the several hundred residence to share a maximum of 500mbps download. Due to the internet issues here, I actually lost my job. I had to work from home and due to the internet issues here I was fired.6) Our dishwasher was broken for 7 weeks without maintenance or a replacement. In April, the dishwasher broke, they said they needed to replace it, due to Corona Virus they said it may take up to 2-4 weeks for it to be replaced. Understandable. However, the dishwasher did arrive in April and was sitting in their maintenance closet for 7 weeks. During this time we called several times with no assistance.7) In the designated motorcycle parking area on P2 in the garage, my $550 Motorcycle exhaust was stolen in the middle of the night. No footage saw the crime be committed but the only way in and out of the garage was under 24/7 surveillance and management refused to assist in investigating any of the residence coming in and out of the place between 12am-4am the night the crime was committed.
I have lived here for almost 2 years and I have to say I have enjoyed my time at this apartment until the new management has taken over. The rules for the parking are ridiculous and make no sense. I know many residents have had their car towed and you must pay $5 for a guest to park over night. The parking is never full, which makes it seem they are just trying to squeeze any amount of money from their residents. Also, the hot tub has not been working due to resurfacing of the pool, which I understand. But no one has been working out there for weeks and its been over 3 months since this process has started. I hope they resolve these issues soon.
Great location and great place to live! Office staff is super helpful if you ever have any questions! I would definitely recommend living at Element 31 to my friends or family!
These apartments are beautiful and it is such a neat environment to live in. The amenities are always clean and the staff truly cares about concerns that you might have. I love the location and how convenient it is to everything in Salt Lake City.
Element 31 are very beautiful apartments with an absolutely incredible staff. Cody, at the front desk was always very helpful and willing to work with tenants. He was very organized and patient with problems. Their cleaning staff was always around to make sure it stayed nice. Overall, very fun and social experience. I never had issues with noise from other tenants. The summer time there is very fun, great vibes at the pool. 5 stars. The only inconvenience was sharing a parking garage with the office building next door but it didnt cause any issues for me.
Weve lived here for 2.5 years now and love it!! The whole complex is really clean and they do a great job at keeping up maintenance with paint, flowers, landscaping, electrical, etc. The view is great, the amenities are clean, modern, and up to date with technology! You can connect bluetooth music to the rec room and there are USB outlets in the walls! They have awesome resident events and the staff is super friendly. I really would recommend living here!
This is such a nice complex to live in! The apartments are large and full of light and everyone is friendly and pretty quiet. I feel safe both in the complex and in the surrounding area. The amenities are great - when you can use them. It seems like there is often construction and renovations going on that close things off and create a huge mess! One of the things that drew us to this complex was the spa and it has been under renovation for months now. In addition it seems like the elevators are always breaking and the trash shoots are always locked at random times which causes a huge mess in the trash rooms. If management would email us back when we have problems, actually enforce the leash policy for dogs, and bring this complex to its full potential it would deserve 6/5 stars.
Our apartment has been great and we’ve been here for about 1.5 yrs now. But it’s definitely overpriced and the parking situation has recently become ridiculous. They say they are trying to make changes with this but it’s difficult because the parking garage is shared with the office building. My roommate and I went out of town for the weekend and when we returned both of our cars were towed without any notice. We reached out to the apartment building to discuss our concerns and we have yet to hear back from them. It just feels like we pay too much to be treated like this. We don’t plan on resigning come time for that because of this situation.
Another night being woken up by the building’s faulty fire alarm system. I’m so tired of all the frustrations we’ve had in this apartment complex since moving here a year ago. Although none of the issues are management’s fault, they’ve never made my concerns feel validated. Our actual unit is very nice and spacious however the parking, broken elevators, and issue with the building’s fire alarm going off randomly make living here NOT worth the price!
The complex is great during the summer, yet it’s way overpriced. The building is poorly insulated, and utilities are far beyond what I’ve paid to live in any apartment. They add on “property utility fees” that are addition to your added utilities. Internet is slow because everyone is required to use the same provider. Dueling, which is required to pay to monitor the heat and lights as well as lock/unlock your doors, has worked maybe half a dozen times. I’ve contacted support and they’ll fix it, yet it doesn’t stick longer than a day. When I was touring the property they said they have social events, and nothing has been organized. The look far exceeds what you get. Trash shoots are a mess and locked when you take your trash out. Definitely wouldn’t recommend signing a contract for a year. Maybe the summer only since the pool and workout facilities are the only bonus to this place.
I lived here for around 2 years and it wasnt a great place to live. I (along with 20 others) had my car broken into by thieves and I never received any compensation or apology about it. In fact, I was repeatedly harassed by the security team employed after that at the complex. They stopped me multiple times asking me what I was doing hanging around my own apartment complex. They also would install things without telling anyone such as installing a security fence (that was broken multiple times while I lived there) that blocked the entrance to the stairs and elevator on my side of the complex. They also would have power outages and the elevator was broken around once a week when I first moved in and then decreased to once a month after some time passed. This apartment also has the thinnest walls and I could hear everything from between the walls including hearing my upstairs neighbors having sex, vacuuming and music blasting almost every night and the apartment never fixed anything even though I complained multiple times. Also people would be yelling and screaming at the pool until late in the evening and you could hear it even with your windows closed. This also a pet friendly complex but many people never picked up after their pets. I used to find vomit and pee in the staircase that I walked down every day. They also raised the rent without telling you that they were raising the rent and you have to pay fees for features that you dont even want like cable TV.
I lived here for a year and it was a fantastic experience. I believe for the quality of the apartments it is reasonably priced but it was slightly out of my budget so I had to move elsewhere. If I was able to stay I would have! Great place to live and would recommend to anyone looking for a place. The office was always very responsive to any requests or questions I had. A few things I would say I didnt like were that the apartment doors seem to be very thin as I could hear people in the hall very clearly. However, I never heard my neighbors or the people above me. I feel that the doors that give access to the pool area from the halls of the apartments should have been pull to open instead of push. When the wind is blowing it pushes the doors open and causes that whistling sound you get with wind and it was very loud through the halls. Overall though I felt like they were minor issues and didnt affect the great experience I had there. Highly recommend these apartments!
Great customer service! Super friendly and courteous. My wife and I are excited to move in later this year. Great area and great staff! Looking forward to living at Element 31!
-edited June 2020-I wanted to update my review in light of the change in management. Since Wasatch Property Management took over control of the complex, there has been a complete 180 and total improvement in nearly all things. This new team is responsive, engages the community for input, and really cares about the residents! While the building still has some faults (we had our AC go out recently) the management will do everything in their power to make sure it is corrected and you are comfortable during repairs. Management even brought another AC unit from a different complex to our unit to make sure we had some comfort while they did repairs. They even follow up on requests which is a stark contrast to the previous company.Theyve changed the trash policy, reduced pet waste on site, and even been forthcoming about opening plans for the gym and pool during covid. If youre looking for a place to stay, I want to change my review to say give the new team at element 31 a chance, things seem so much better!!(p.s. I was not given an incentive to leave/update this review, unlike multiple reviews below where old management offered gift cards only for 5-star ratings).-original review below-I have lived here for almost a year and during that time there has been numerous issues. First issue was I signed a lease for a specific style/layout and when I arrived from out of state, I found myself in a completely different unit layout. I had to wait over a month for this to be corrected and then had to move all my stuff a second time to a new unit. They boast amenities, but then charge you for use (renting the clubhouse, parking of your guests, required utility package for cable). The hot tub has been out of commission for several months with little to no update provided along the way. The grills have been out of service as well for months. The entire walkway entrance to the gym and related amenities was a disaster and real hazard during the remodeling. The gym is missing equipment or its broken. The “valet trash” service will only pick up 3 items a night despite the claim they will take broken down boxes for recycling, so you must hold on to your recycling or dispose of it yourself, in which case what’s the point? They also lock the trash shoots so if you are unable to set your trash out in the limited 3 hour window Monday-Thr you’re required to walk out of the building to remove it, again, what’s the point of this service you’re required to pay for if you have to do it yourself. The elevators are constantly broken. There is always a ridiculous amount of dog poop surrounding the building as people refuse to clean up after their pets and this there is no enforcement of this policy. The walls are not well insulated from sound, so you will hear your neighbors upstairs walking around, people talking outside, and even the trash being collected (loudly) next door at the bank at 6AM daily. There have been several times where I have requested details on additional amenities (extra parking spaces, extra storage) and it has taken weeks and multiple reminders to get information. The office has lost packages of mine somehow, even though I went to the office multiple times to request them because they had been delivered according to the post. I waited multiple weeks for my packages to be “found” and only because I kept asking.Overall, you’re paying for the location of this property, which admittedly is excellent. My apartment itself is newer and nice with respect to appliances. At such a high price-point, however, I would not recommend this apartment. Overall this has been a really disappointing experience.
This apartment is the nicest one I have seen around, I enjoy living here and using the amenities and having the convenience to park in a parking garage. My boyfriend and I both get a spot in the parking garage (one near the front and one in the back) and we have never had any problems with it.
I really like this place. Parking garage is great, maintenance is prompt and management is kind and responsive.
Fantastic apartments, very reasonable price and excellent staff. They are attentive, respectful and super helpful. This is an ideal place to live-- I recommend it without hesitation! (Cat and dog friendly too!)
I loved my time here! I had the best neighbors, the complex is awesome plus Collin and Martin are great :)
Fantastic apartment community. Have worked with the management team there and visit the apartments often. Great apartment homes with cool smart home tech, would recommend to friends.
There are obvious elements about living in an apartment that may not be ideal. However, I feel the management company and staff at this complex do the best they can to resolve all issues at hand. I have personally found that they take the problems, complaints, and criticism seriously and try to improve with the feedback given.
Friendly staff, nice doggos, good peeps!!Come for the shelter, stay for the neighbors.
Would literally give this place 0 stars if that was an option.maintenance requests slow, dog park always poop everywhere. halls are dirty with dog waste. fire alarm beeping CONSTANTLY. reported it, took forever to get fixed. super frustrating to the point would have to leave to sleep since it was so obnoxious. no support on the weekends (aka fire alarm would be beeping saturday thru monday without fixing)....paid to rent the clubhouse and there was VOMIT in the mens and womens restrooms. mortified that my GUESTS discovered that. repulsive.but the biggest, real REASON TO STAY AWAY is: tried to contact property manager 5+ with questions in regards to a final bill that had RIDICULOUS charges from months prior utilities and other weird charges that were not accurate or relevant. never had a walk through at the end with them. Its 5 months later and now i have a collections firm calling?!? NO communication from All Res or Element 31, even with my efforts of getting in contact...saying theyve been sending communication by mail TO THE ADDRESS AT THE APARTMENT THAT I MOVED OUT OF...lol. oh so very convenient for allres and element 31 that they never got in contact with me or responded to me, and that now the first time i hear from collections agency they dont look into the situation, and demand payment right away or else credit score will be effected...just beyond frustrating, sleezy and uncalled for. element 31 and allres aint it sis!Lots of skeezy details in the mix as well, wont bore you with the details but i would recommend staying VERRRYYYYY VERY clear from this unethical, money suck apartment complex.
I read some of the reviews, and decided to post my own. Every situation that people seem to have a problem with are self inflicted, or a neighbor issue. I have lived at Element31 for almost 2 years now. The complex is extremely clean and well taken care of.My roommate and I were having issues with wifi, and although it took awhile for the internet provider to reach us (that was a company issue, not one of the apartments), the management staff helped me reach them and get everything taken care of. We have not had any issues with it since. Then, when my car was blocked in from a tenant moving out, I went to the office to see if the management had information on the license plate and they immediately left the office, came out with me, and helped figure the situation out.The management is always kind and understanding, and my roommate and I have never had an issue. Any review you find online of apartments will complain about management because of the office being unresponsive or the tenant feeling overcharged. You can fix that by actually reading the lease. Its a legal document that both the tenant and the leasing office is bound to. Love this place, the neighbors, and the management team. Thanks for a great living space.
The management has been doing a terrible job with communicating what issues they’ve been having with the fire alarm system. It goes off randomly! It’s currently 11:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and it’s blaring so loud my ears are bleeding...
Element 31 is a great apartment building with quick access to I-80 and Sugarhouse. I found that the management (Martin and Collin )to be responsive and friendly. The units are clean, modern with an open floor plan. There are a lot of pet owners, making it a nice place to own a pet. There are gas grills, pool, jacuzzi, a club house, and gym that are well maintained. If there are any issues in the unit, maintenance crew (led by Victor )came within the day.You do pay for valet trash, internet and DirecTV on top of monthly rent, so it’s good to plan for that.
The staff is very friendly, especially Martin. The free yoga classes are a huge benefit for me.
Ive lived in this modern apartment complex for over a year and its been a good experience. Ive gotten prompt and great service for all my maintenance requests. The building is clean, and if theres any issue with cleanliness, its because of a handful of tenants not doing their part. The management is very responsive. I use the gym regularly and this is a big plus to me, a time and money saver. In the summer, the pool is a great place to hang out with family and friends. Smart home feature is great! Location is good as it across from Brickyard Plaza where theres a Harmons grocery, TJ Maxx, Zurchers, etc. Sugarhouse is just a couple of miles away and nearest freeway access is 5 mins.
I have been renting at these apartments since last June and I have had the SINGLE WORST EXPERIENCE in any place I have ever lived. This apartment complex is managed horribly! Upon moving here I was overcharged severely for the deposit and first months rent. After carrying a credit balance on my account for several months of $2000+, I asked for them to review the ledger on my account and the manager found over 12-15 mistakes and had to make 12-15 correcting entries in order to bring my account to the correct balance. I know what you are thinking, if they cant even manage my rent payment, what else cant they do? I will tell you! They do not respond to or complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. The apartments are constructed very cheaply, they have very cheap materials used in the apartments. As I am writing this, my refrigerator is missing its handle and my garbage disposal is clogged (and has been for three days) and they have already sent the maintenance here to fix the disposal two times. I also have come home to a maintenance worker in my apartment that was NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE THERE. I have never before had a landlord enter my space without asking (this is technically illegal) and I was absolutely furiuos to come home to someone in my home WITHOUT ANY NOTICE WHATSOEVER. THE WORST PART, the premise is anything but secure, despite signs hanging in the parking garage that state 24 hour surveillance, there is not an actual security guard monitoring the camera views 24/7, there is only a security personnel (basically sleeping) in their car in the first level of the garage. Last night MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO, this sparked my desire to leave this review. Despite having security on site, this is the SECOND break in that I have gone through since living here. I did not get any money back that they stole, and I have had to pay out of pocket for the damage to my vehicle. MOVING IN HERE WILL COST YOU MORE MONEY THAN YOU THINK!! Also, there has been cigarette smoke on the 4th floor (where I live) multiple times, and the leasing office has DONE NOTHING ABOUT THIS. The most action I have seen the leasing office take is sending a lousy email. I am constantly having to call or go down to the office to alert the staff to happenings about the building (piling up of trash, dirty hallways, and now smoking). The manager and staff at the office are condescending, and just plain unhelpful, they also do not think things through before doing them. Recently, parking was put to an assigned basis, and they gave me a spot outside of the secure parking. Why would someone who has experienced a break in not get a secure parking space? The leasing office is SO HORRIBLY MANAGED that they even gave me a gift card for the hassle they have put me through, even they know they can do better! I am writing this review, to hopefully prevent someone from moving here and having the same experience as I have. The rent here is WAY TOO HIGH to even consider putting up with this kind of management. It is awful, the hallways are dirty, the elevators are SO SLOW, the dog area is tiny and has little to no grass except for in the front of the building. The parking is clearly awful, and not secure whatsoever. The noise has increased so much since more people have moved in. There are constantly footsteps in the hallway or yelling, talking, laughing, people even push shopping carts down the hall way! Again, despite complaining about this, nothing has been done. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KEEP LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT PLACE TO LIVE.
Element 31 offers a lot of positives. The building is very new (built in 2015, I believe) and my unit felt quite spacious with a wide, open floor-plan and had a pleasant, modern style. Internet access, including an ethernet port and an AC router, is built into the apartment and is fast enough to satisfy just about anyone (172/348 on my wired desktop connection, 134/132 wireless on my Pixel 2). Maintenance requests, in my experience, were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The pet-friendly policies have allowed a positive culture to develop among the many pet-owning residents. The building is in a good, central location within the Salt Lake Valley and I-80 is less than five minutes away. However, there are several frustrating negatives. For one, the advertised rent price is deceptive. Residents are required to buy a $150/month communications package added on to the advertised rent price, so the cost of living, which is already quite high, is even higher than advertised. The benefits of the communications package are the very good high-speed Internet mentioned above, DirecTV service, and valet trash removal, so the fee isnt going to nothing. Regardless, I believe the price is unnecessarily high and is unfair to those who might not need DirecTV service, Internet speeds as fast as are offered here, or trash removal service. Also, I was frustrated by the fact that building-wide fire alarms occurred four times during the 12 months I lived at Element 31. One of these was legitimate -- I was told the cause was a resident who was producing smoke while cooking and imprudently decided to air out his apartment by opening the door to the hallway. However, the other times were caused by some sort of malfunction with the buildings internal water pressure monitoring system. Very irritating, particularly the one that happened in the middle of the night.Building management when I moved in were very friendly and helpful and planned monthly resident activities, but they left unexpectedly just a couple months later. The new management is impersonal, less helpful, and provide none of the resident activities that were advertised to me as a selling point when I was first looking at Element 31.Parking is fine if your residence only has one vehicle, but anyone looking to move to Element 31 with two vehicles may end up being frustrated.Overall, I didnt dislike my time at Element 31. I was comfortable for the most part and enjoyed the great location and comfort of living in a new building. However, I was definitely disappointed by several aspects of Element 31 and the price of living here wasnt exactly cheap. All things considered, I think 3/5 stars is an appropriate reflection of my opinion.
I love these apartments! Very well maintained, great amenities and the staff is incredible!
Ive loved living here for the past six months because:- Everything is new, its wonderful!- Fast internet (consistent 100+mb up/down)- Professional, responsive staff- Friendly residents- Community grills and pool/hottub- Across the street from Harmons
I work at the brickyard tower thats adjacent to the apartments and overlooks the pool area. I have seen the apartment from the start of construction to now. This project is a disaster. Poor planning by management. The business parking area is not enforced or has a gate. Car break in happen frequently even with suppossed 24/7 security on site. Tenants park in there instead of their assigned spaces on a different floor so when business hours are open so there are never enough spots to park in.They built a swimming pool on top of the parking garage, and on several occasions it leaked water and insulation on top of cars in the parking garage. As i write this today the pool now has a huge crack running the length of it and now its as green as jello. Tenants left pool chairs in the shallow end and when i work pulled it out you could see the algea growing on the frame. On top of that the concrete surrounding the pool cracked and peeled and although they fixed it, its a different shade then the rest of the tiles.Dont even get me started on the weird things that go on at the pool with the tenants.Rent here is 1200-1500 per month for a one or two bedroom apartment with low quality workmanship. The apartment complex is about 1/3 capacity as somewhat reasonable people laugh at the rates on the face.I dont really see how this apartment complex is going to survive.
The design is nice, new, and updated. I like the coloring of the apartments and the pool/lounge areas are great. I was so excited that mine was the white/gray kitchen and living room. That goes with my furniture. The bathroom is huge and so is the closet. The bathroom tile for some reason is kind of hard to clean. It was super dirty when I moved in which was a bummer, and little splashes of water tend to show up easily on it and almost stain it unless you scrub it hard. The natural light is amazing in the living room and bedroom. The location is ideal! All the necessities are across the street and super close to sugar house- which has everything. The only concerns I have with Element 31 has to do with the fact they are so new. Not even a year old yet. So I think they are still getting used to things around here. They are super nice but they promise a lot and I find myself having to go back in a lot to re-ask my questions. If they could just say we will try and see what we can do and get back to you, instead of promising it by the end of the day or within an hr, and then I never hear from them till I go in and follow up with my question days later. Little things like forgetting to give me the move in packet, not having my internet set up and no password listed when they said it was, and some bug issues since this is their first summer open and they werent aware of some elm trees on the property nearby. I wish the floorboards were sealed a little tighter because bugs come in from my patio even with the door shut. The front office is also hard to get ahold of. They rarely answer the phone and I think that is because so many people come into the front office, whether its for questions or picking up packages. I feel like they should hire more people. The last place I lived was extremely organized, so maybe I am spoiled by that.
Took a tour of the complex and loved it!
Love it!!!!
