As soon as we walked in, the lady working was speaking to someone on the phone, so we waited patiently. It seemed to be work related, so I did not mind the wait. As we were ready to check out the car my partner reserved online, we ran into a few issues in person. We were told there is a primary drivers fee because I am the driver but he was the one who reserved the vehicle, in which he added me as primary online already but nothing showed being an extra fee for me, until we were in person at the front desk. We were confused but the lady told us a box pops up online when making reservations, in which we did not see. My partner got upset about having an extra fee and he seemed to think the lady was being unprofessional. She refused customer service to him, so we had to cancel the entire reservation in full. The lady told me she would be willing to still take me as a customer and allow me to reserve a vehicle and make up a whole new reservation under my name entirely. I was already late getting out of the house, so this really wasted a lot of my driving time to Texas, but we still agreed to do it this way. The second issue we ran into was the fact I was unaware we needed to show up exactly at the time listed. The email stated show up at 8, but I thought this was a window that I could show up anytime after 8. Hertz ended up giving the vehicle I wanted to someone else because of this, which was my mistake for being misinformed. The lady at the front desk did not tell me the specific vehicle we requested was not available anymore until AFTER all of this mess, so now, I was even more upset. All she said was we have people not show up at all, so we give the cars to other people which does make sense. So after these two issues of canceling a reservation, making a new one, sort through the new vehicle mishap, we were there for almost an hour. It seemed the lady was still polite to me and answered all of my questions, but I do know her and my partner did not get along very well. The vehicle chosen for me was a big 3rd row Kia. I did not want a big vehicle, and the lady offered a small car but it would need cleaned first. I again, didnt have time for that, but she insisted it would only take 5 minutes. I kindly declined the smaller vehicle and stayed with the Kia. It drove smoothly and was very clean. After having the vehicle for 4 days, I did not come across any issues. Everything worked well. I did not have problems with under the hood, tires, nor inside. I made sure to clean it up when I returned it. The same lady was working when I dropped it off and I did not have any issues returning the vehicle. She let me know everything looked good and that was our service..............

I would rate higher because the woman who helped me when I got there was fabulous! Car was very clean and nice. She said she was from the Manhattan location. I mentioned about the Sunday drop off and she showed me right where to drop the keys and informed me no one would be there on Sunday when I returned the car. Very disappointed today when the invoice was emailed and saw that I was charged an extra day and a late fee! Shame on you! My car was returned before noon completely full and hardly used. When I tried to call you multiple times, to ask about the extra charges today, your phone just rings and rings. I eventually called the 800 number and they said it would be 5-7 days for the new bill once it is ok’d. I would need to call back and check. Not cool!
The lady that works there Sasha is the nicest, most professional, informative and helpful person. She is amazing. They use to have a guy that worked there who was the rudest, most unprofessional, unintelligent, disorganized person I have ever dealt with so it was such a pleasure doing business with her. And their prices are amazing too.
First the computer wouldnt let them give me the rate I reserved but they were able to override the price. Then she tried to sell me gas on a rental that was full. Then they tried to put me in a compact car when I reserved a full size because they didnt have the full size car I reserved. When I called her on what she was doing, she expected me to trust that she would give me a better price after I left. I told her I would go back with her and have her redo the rental w the compact rate. Turning the car in was much easier in LA.
Lady at the desk was helpful. Easy to rent a car. Prices are reasonable. I thought the car I rented was going to be bigger. It was my fault though, I should have asked to see the car.
The lady who runs this Hertz is super nice and really easy to work with. Definitely one of the easiest places to rent a car Ive ever experienced.
No customer service. We had tire trouble on a rented car and were instructed to take it to this location to swap the car out rather than lose hours waiting for roadside service. After installing the spare in the rain to safely make it there, we had to basically do all the work of an employee; fill out paper work, fill the car up with gas.. come on, complete joke. Hertz may be the cheapest, turns out you get what you pay for. Ive never seen such disregard for customers. They should have bent over backwards for us, not the other way around.
Wasnt a lot of waiting, signing, questions. Got a nice vehicle and returning it was easy price was affordable. Would use them again
Worst rental experience ever. The manager here is the rudest most unhelpful person I have ever met.We took an hour detour to exchange a car with a broken ac for our drive from Ny to WA state. He lied about not having a car big enough for us to pack our belongings into. He was dripping with attitude the entire time. We ended up leaving with the car with the broken ac in 91 degree weather and he couldn’t care less.He refused to give us a similar sized car that we could fit our belongings into claiming that every car in the lot was reserved yet my mom was able to call and r serve a full sized car for a week,available immediately, a few minutes after we left.This guy has no business being in any position where he has to deal with customers. Hertz clearly doesn’t care about who represents their brand. Once they get your money if you have any issues they put you at the lowest priority. This office in Salina should be shut down if the owners care so little about who they have working for them.Do not go here. Find another location or better yet a better company to go with.
I travel for work often and utilize this Hertz location every time Im in Kansas. I couldnt ask for a more kind, accommodating staff!

Reasonable price but a little hard to find. You have to go to the south end of the airport terminal (around the outside)... worth the trip.
I have to say that the staff is courteous and professional. That being said, I arrived and got my car (no issues - fast at the desk), but when I got in the car, it was empty (warning light was on). I was quickly given another car, but this car was filthy! I was given a 3rd car - no issues with this one. Staff was apologetic, and did try to please me as a customer. So, in general, a little annoyance, but I finally got a Hertz quality (clean and full) car.
Got a car for one of our customers and we should have received the shop rate. We called twice and complained and just got a woman with a bad attitude. Refused to work with us. We paid 99.21 for a car for 28 hours. We will be renting cars for our customers on a regular basis with another company. They picked the car up at a repair shop. The bill was made out to a repair shop. Soooo why did we not get the shop rate?? Two different people from our office call & asked. Just got a woman with a nasty attitude. Until we receive the shop rate this review stays
Reserved and PAID for 2 cars 3 weeks in advance. Sent us out in a vehicle they knew had a problem. We had to drive 3 hours out of our way to go to Wichita and get a properly running vehicle. Save your time and rent from Wichita.

Worst place to rent a car. I rented car from here and also made a telephonic confirmation also and i was informed that my rented car will be ready on 4.30 pm of Friday . When I reached over there they said we dont have car for you I showed them my email confirmation and through out that time the help desk person was keep showing me his own list and further adding I dont have car for you since your name is not in the list plus attitude of both the customer was really really bad. I would have given 5 black star if I could to show how badly they have handled my booking but at the end I just made a call to enterprise and they welcomed me with a very fine car. HERTZ SALINA KS IS THE WORST PLACE TO BOOK A RENTAL CAR. I BOOKED A CAR FROM HERTZ FOR THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME.

We picked up the rental car on behalf of an insurance company to an at fault party. The individual that hit us insurance company was responsible for charges while our personal vehicle was in gettin repaired. When we picked up the loaner vehicle from hertz the check engine light was on so we went in to inform the hertz representative he said to ignore it... So first off they sent us out with a vehicle that was clearly due for maintenance or had an issue to the existent the engine light was on so this was a huge concern for me because it was my mother that was going to be driving this car by herself alone over 40 miles a day just work and home add on errors and other everyday task well over 50 After addressing it with hertz we felt like her safety was not any of hertz problem even tho this was there car. This made us worry what if something would happen? If it wasnt nothing big and they already ran the car on a computer and knew the issue and is was something small that wouldnt give us any issues they would have cleared the code so the light would shut off. Instead we picked up this car and had to worry and be leary of the condition of the car. Then upon returning the car she was informed that she was required to pay out of pocket for charges she replied to the individual that the at fault person (not my mom) was required to pay all cost. He proceeds to run her card that was on file from picking up car without her permission without her signature then told her it wasnt his problem. Hertz was the only option that the at fault insurance company offered. That means they work together and support each other. So we got sent out with a car That clearly had something wrong enough to make the engine light come on they and also ran her credit card without her permission when all charges were supposed to be covered. All was addressed with local hertz and customer service and all we got was oh thats not our fault talk to the insurance company when there obviously have some kind of contract and could have called and addressed the charges that she was not supposed to be reliable for but didnt. This was rude unfriendly uncooperative and over all unacceptable. I will never step foot around hertz again I wash I could give them zero stars I am filling a company with the insurance company and hertz through the ks general attorney as well with the BBB. Weve never been treated so badly and belittled in our lifes. I fell she got taken advantage of and I hope and pray that no one else gets treated this way. We didnt ask for this to happen yet got treated as if her safety was non of there concern on top of charging her card without her permission or discussion about the situation that they were aware of.
