I absolutely love this place. I have gone to Jessica a few times now and she is absolutely incredible at nail art. The salon itself is really clean and they are all very nice. This place is super popular so to avoid the line just come early in the morning! This is the best salon I’ve found since moving to Detroit. It was recommended to me by a few of my girl friends, who all come here too. Highly suggest this place!

They do such great nails and really help you with all your needs! They always have a long wait but that’s when you know it’s a good place! very sanitary for pedicures and can do fun nail art!

Best nail place I have found in royal oak! I get gel manicures and regular pedicure. Prices are reasonable and they always do a great job. Gel manicures last 3 weeks and really can last longer if they didn’t grow out! It’s always busy so make an appointment if you can.

I just had my first dip powder experience here and it was fantastic! My pedicure was heavenly and my eyebrows aren’t scary anymore. They were very helpful and their service is excellent. I think I need to start doing this on the regular!!🖤

I love this nail salon! They do a great job without being overpriced! The color selection is HUGE, the range of decorative nail services is also very diverse. The woman who greets you is very kind, she finds out what you need and has the ability to hold numerous customers’ desires in her head while managing her staff of 20-30 nail artists, and taking phone reservations while also taking her own clients! It’s really impressive

First time coming here and very impressed with how my nails turned out. I showed a picture and they didn’t disappoint! I got ombré dip with tips added for length. They also were very clear with me prior to starting on what my cost would be with the added cost for tips and ombré, which I’ve not really seen as transparent at other salons. It’s been a week and a half and besides natural nail growth my nails still look fantastic!Only negative is they over commit to services. I had an appointment at 6 and they didn’t even get me seated for my pedicure until 6:45. They were super nice about it and apologized a lot but still annoying. I’ve seen this in other reviews. The work they did outweighs this in my opinion and I’ll definitely be returning. Just something to be aware of.

Just went today and it was a great experience. I cant remember if Lee or Leo did my nails, but he did a fantastic job. Even though he was fast, he was very efficient and my nails look amazing. This was my first time getting an acrylic fill and he did an even better job compared to the first nail place I went to get the acrylics done at first. The owner is also very kind and cares about herself and her employees who are also family very much. Love the calm and friendly atmosphere as well.

Best nail salon in Royal Oak. I normally go to #8, but everyone is professional and does an incredible job. My dip powder always lasts awhile and I never have chipping. Highly recommend! If you ever have issues, Tina is extremely helpful and responsive.

This nail salon is the only one I go to over the past 10 years. I walk away with a final product feeing very satisfied. They remember my name, which is surprising as they have many customers. I moved here and am looking for a good nail place. I went here today because the reviews on google seemed pretty good. Do not go here. It is a factory. They will tell you they will take your reservation and make you wait 45 minutes soaking your nails and proceed to rush through your manicure. I consistently get dip manicures, and they never fall apart. I have already broken a nail. My husband who doesnt know anything about nails even said they looked lower quality.

Royal Oak Nails is the only place I go to now to get my nails done. I used to bop around to random places before but now I won’t go to anywhere else. They consistently do a great job. And while they do get busy, it is because people keep coming back due to the great job they do. The have so many color choices to choose from and will do their best to accommodate what you want. They’re nail techs are kind and friendly.

Worst nail salon experience to date. I called ahead to make an appointment and was told that I could just walk in. I went in with 7 acrylic nails that I wanted removed (3 came off during travel so they were pretty loose) and my normal nails just cleaned up. Well, over 2 hours later I walked out with my hands looking like disaster. I waited for over an hour just for them to check the foils, once. The guy who cleaned up my nails was just miserable. He left my nails with pointy edges (I asked for rounded), applied lotion without even brushing off the filing dust (super gross) and broke some of my nails in the process. They spent less than 10 minutes actually working on me. Never coming back here!

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. I will always wait if necessary instead of going somewhere else because I know the quality will be great. I usually get dip and it’s never too thick or bumpy like I’ve gotten at other places. The nail artists are all so nice and talented, especially the shop owner. I’m so happy with my nails!! I am delighted that Royal Oak Nails has reopened their doors post-covid. Myself and a friend went for a manicure & pedicure this afternoon and they have taken safety precautions seriously. Not only do all the pedicure chairs have safety plastic to separate between seats but they have plastic partitions on all stations. Their consistent quality in their work was not lost. I am happy to see one of my favorite local business remain open.

Royal Oak nails has been my go to place since I moved to royal oak in 2017! I even moved for a year and still drove 35 minutes each way every other Saturday to come to Royal Oak nails. I’ve had many technicians and had a great experience with them all. Would highly recommend! I get pedicures and dip manicures.

Tina and Vin are my go to for nails. I drive over an hour every time because I know they will always give me an amazing set. I get the dip polish every time, and it always lasts for weeks. I work in a tough environment and they always pull through. Even if a nail breaks they will get me in to fix it right away. Prices are cheap for the quality they provide!

It was horrible! Waited forever then the lady Lisa starts cutting my nails talking about dip? I told her I had acrylic white and pink powder. Then she shapes them wrong doesn’t clean underneath them and had the nerve to think I was coming back. They be rushing doing your nails. Mess!

This is the only salon I will go to to get my dip manicure done! Kim did a fantastic job she put a lot of care in detail into shaping my nails, I’m in love with them!

I would definitely give this place more stars for great work & pricing..but the covid restrictions in that place are too intense to the point where I felt like I was in a hospital and my anxiety was crazy. Partitions, separation curtains, masks, it was borderline medical..yet behind the pedicure chairs...trash. Everywhere. Makes no sense. Ill definitely not be returning until they chill out.

Have gone numerous times. The dip always comes out great and lasts at least 2.5 weeks. Pedicures are very relaxing as well. Always requiring masks and social distancing.

Great atmosphere and they are very friendly! TONS of color selections! They take the time to get to know your name and will remember you when you come back! My sister and I have been now going consistently for every two weeks for two months and they are so accommodating!

Love love love this salon. I’ve been coming here for years for pedi and dip. It doesn’t matter what staff you have everyone does an amazing job. I’ve tried places all over the metro Detroit …. from Rochester to Ferndale and other salons in Royal Oak for dip, and nothing compares to them for dip. They have so many colors to choose from, matching colors for your toes, and minimal to no waiting when you have an appointment.

The technicians were wonderful. It was super busy. My only issue was that they wanted time to leave my 4 year old by herself to finish her pedicure while I went for a manicure. I was not going to do that, so I lost my manicure appointment.

Tina seems nice at first but she always takes your appt. down but then you arrive and have to wait up til an hour and she acts like this is ok . Also and she will pretend she doesn’t remember who you are if you are not paying top dollar and primarily does this with black patrons I noticed . Even another Asian young lady acknowledged this . Very disappointing because I didn’t recognize it until now . Do not spend your money where you are not wanted . Very sad

Ive been seeing Tina for over a decade, and I drive over an hour to come to this salon. This is a family business and everyone here really works together so well. The cleanliness and quality of work is outstanding. The prices are quite reasonable. The work is far more meticulous than it is fast, and it is true occasionally (even with an appointment) you may wait 10 minutes or so. That is a testament to how seriously everyone here takes their quality of work, because if you have an issue or a break - it is fixed RIGHT not just fast. This is a place I really view as nail doctors - with an aesthetic side. When you are tired of endlessly salon hopping, and care more about having healthy nails than a quick color job... come here. Your hands will thank you!

The people here are so kind and sweet. I called in to ask for closing time & they had already closed but they said they would still take me in. I went with my boyfriend as well, and they were really sweet ladies. I got Julie and Emy, so if you go they are super nice! The massage chairs and foot massage were great. Will be going back!

Royal Oak Nails has outdone themselves when it comes to working through a pandemic, easily showing up many of their fellow RO businesses near by. Everyone was masked - patrons and staff, shields between you and the technicians as well as plastic curtains between stations.I felt so safe! I was nervous to come out at first, but now that Ive seen how seriously Royal Oak Nails is taking it, Im excited to get back on my regular nail schedule after a COVID hiatus.

Made an appointment for 3pm for me and my friend. Got there on time, nobody greeted us when we walked in, and we had to wait 30+ minutes for somebody to start on our nails. If I make an appointment and you confirmed my appointment, I expect my time to be respected just like I respect yours by arriving on time. Poor time management is a big no for me on first impression.Second impression, the lady that did my nails was rude. She talked trash about me and my friend in Vietnamese, using profanity, to her coworker. It did not show class. My (White) friend and I were talking in English, so the lady didnt think I could understand her. But I speak fluently Vietnamese.I came in for a mani/pedi, I left after my mani was done. Quality was so-so, not worth the experience and how they made me feel.

Tina did a great job on my full set today! She was so accommodating to many walkins even when they were very busy. She is very professional and makes great connections with each client. I can see why they keep coming back.

Decided to give this place a shot because it was recommended to me by a friend. After reading the reviews online, I decided to walk in the same day for a fill and gel polish. The place was packed but they said they could take me. I was a little skeptical because of Covid and I feel like they weren’t following Covid protocols whatsoever. When I sat down lady asked me what I wanted and I told her and she said that she could do it for me. But after about 10 minutes I realized that she was too busy to even pay attention enough to listen to what I was saying. She was on her phone texting, answering the phone constantly and making appointments for people that were calling in as well as walk-ins. She kept forgetting which nail she was even working on while she was filing my nails down and putting the acrylic topcoat on. She told me to go wash my hands after she filed them down and I noticed that they were all different sizes in shape so I mentioned it to her. She blamed me and said that I kept moving my hand. Right then and there I wanted to walk out but I let her finish the job. I went to go cash out and I told her that I wasn’t happy with the process and how my nails looked and she offered to redo my nails after I’d already been there over an hour. I told her no and then I just wanted my money back and she refused and started laughing at me. I was so angry that I walked out and decided to go back to my normal nail place down the street. I will never be back and I will never refer anybody to this company.

Ive been to 100s of nail salons across the country but none has topped Royal Oak Nails!The owner Tina always greets you, if she isn’t available to speak to you right away someone else will ask you to pick a color and will get you started. (They don’t all speak English so don’t be rude if the person doing your nails doesn’t answer.) They are always busy (because of how great they are!) so I recommend scheduling an appointment even though walk ins are always welcome. Getting there early will give you enough time to pick out the perfect color and not feel rushed.

Based on word of mouth and google reviews, I scheduled an appointment for me and a friend to go on Thursday evening. The place was packed, so I’m glad i called ahead of time to make an appointment. I got dip polish ($40) and my friend got a regular mani/pedi ($45). I was impressed with the work done for my nails. I’m hoping it lasts for at least a couple weeks! (Tbd). My friend was also impressed. She said that was the best mani/pedi she ever had! Also, they had dividers to separate you, and everyone wore masks.

I’m very very picky when it comes to where I get my acrylics done! I just moved to RO and needed a good salon in the area. This is the third one I tried & I finally feel like I found somewhere I can trust to do a good job. I personally like Tina and Tracy.

I had an okay/average experience. They are very busy (I went on a Saturday morning), and even though I had an appointment I had to wait about 30 minutes. I think the experience largely depends on which nail tech is providing service. Mine rushed through everything but the persons next to me really took her time.

I went in to get a manicure with no polish- my manicure was absolutely laughable. First, 6 people walked in and were serviced before me. At first I thought they had appointments but I asked one and she said she was a walk-in. Then I was rushed by the woman sitting next to the check-in counter. She went through my manicure so fast my head was spinning. I was in a rush to leave anyway because of COVID and I had been waiting so long but when I got home, I saw my cuticles were sticking up on each nail, my nails were filed unevenly, and my pinky nails were left jagged as if they hadnt even been filed. Like I said, I was in a rush to get out of there because of COVID and i had been in there longer than I ever would have anticipated for a 10 minute manicure. Will never go here again.

Depends who you get. Some people do a great job, and others not so much. The pedicure massage chairs are great. Polish selection could be better. I got my nails done yesterday, see photo. I don’t think I should have to monitor someone’s work on a manicure. Will probably return due to convenience, but not my favorite nail salon.

Best nail salon in the RoyalOak/Ferndale/Birmingham/Berkley area! Sooo may color options for regular polish, dip and shellac. My favorites, OPI and Essie, always have new colors. The pedicure chairs are SO comfy! Tina and the whole staff are very friendly, efficient and they turn your nails into perfection!
