I was just there to buy a gift card... Super nice people, beautiful facilities and a great atmosphere the only thing I didnt care for was the very strongly worded mask suggestion (although Im sure others are appreciative of it) on the front door.

Similar to the previous review, I also got highlights done by Alexis and she did an exceptional job! This was the first time I ever changed the color of my hair, and Alexis was very assuring and answered all of my questions. The highlights are really beautiful and Im so glad I went for it! Also, Scott Miller does a great job maintaining professionalism and for that reason alone I would return. I used to get a hair cut maybe once or twice a year at national chain salons, but at Scott Miller you can really feel the quality and the artistic expression of the stylists, making it well worth it. Its also really fun if you are a bumble and bumble fan because this is one of the few salons in the area that features their products.

Mindys experience and talent know just what to do with my think hair. The SM experience as always was top notch. From greeting to checkout it is always a great respite .

Also very happy that Venmo can be used for tips now and avoid cash altogether.Would be nice if staff (at the reception desk) made more of an effort to say good bye when clients leave the salon, IMO. One young man did today, but this rarely happens. It’s just nice to hear it and feel appreciated.

I love Scott Miller Salon and all my providers! I have been going to Scott Miller Salon since 1994 when they were in Fairport. I have seen the salon grow but kept their passion for servicing their clients on a personal level! Everyone who works for Scott and Helen are amazing. I am always welcomed when I go into the salon. I’ve been a client since they were a small salon in Fairport. Every visit is an amazing experience. Scott, Helen and their amazing staff do everything possible to make the client experience extraordinary. I travel all over the world and can honestly say they are one of the best. Rochester is very fortunate to have a salon of this caliber.

I had an appointment with a higher level stylist it was 80.00, I was so excited thinking I would get a great cut and style. That did not happen, no style and uneven hair for 80.00 . I called and another stylist who was very nice, and I didn’t get charged added some layers, when I was at the desk I felt my hair was uneven. The lady took me back to the chair and had me show her where. She said she added layers but didn’t check the length. So 2 80.00 stylist did not check my hair and I had to point it out . How do they get to charge so much when their haircuts are not stylish and they don’t check their work?If you’re paying 80.00 for a haircut I would hope it’s a trendy cut snd most of all checked for evenness. My hair is still uneven and not a cute cut for 80.00. I think going to a lower level stylist you might get a trendy cut and someone who is very articulate about their work! It’s definitely not a warm and friendly place, staff in the reception area were unfriendly.

Ive been seeing Olivia Dianetti for years and ill never go anywhere else for my cuts! Shes very talented, personable and guaranteed to turn into your lifetime stylist AND friend. Olivia has taught me how to better manage my unruly hair with little effort. She is truly the best at her trade. The products, quality and atmosphere at SM is top tier.

Im still deciding if i like my $90 haircut. The back hairline was not cut great. Its growing out not very well. It is very difficult to find a great hair cutter no matter the price. 12/31/19: my 3rd haircut at S.M. twice at Pitt. & once at Webster. Webster is always booked. Im back on vacation here in Webster. The Pittsford salon cut was fine, but it did not grow out well even 1 week later. After 1 week their hair cuts do not grow out well on my head. It is a shame. 3 expensive SM cuts, & none were excellent or even great. I am disappointed & will not go back. I gave it 3 tries & at both salons! I do not understand why 3 different cutters could not cut straight short mens hair. Astounding!

Everyone is so kind and will do anything to make your experience amazing. Salon is hands down the best in western NY. I love it here.

My family booked me a birthday hair cut, color and highlights in November 2020. The stylist who colored my hair applied ammonia bleach for highlights and damaged it. My hair is dark and it needs a double process. She was rushed and to save time she literally burnt my hair. I was considerate at the check out where I pointed out my hair was damaged. They’ll told me they would charge me still but give me another appointment. Then Covid happened and the salon was so mismanaged that they booked me and cancelled me several times to finally scheduling me in Feb 2021. I had a work related emergency and was not able to go. Later when I called I was told they cannot reschedule me. The front desk manager told me she will cancel me from all future appointments. I posted a review on their page which they have not published and this just shows how unethical they are. Worst experience ever and rude to the sky. I will never go there again and will never recommend. What they did are also grounds for discrimination.

DO NOT HIRE SCOTT MILLER FOR WEDDING MAKEUP! My best friend hired this Salon to do the hair and makeup of herself and all of her bridesmaids for her wedding day. For hair they did a beautiful job but the makeup experience was atrocious. After telling the artist I have sensitive skin and I avoid fragrance she still came at me with MAC makeup remover which I found out later has fragrance! I told her not to do that but she insisted on needing to use it in a couple of places (even though I had clean skin with moisturizer and no makeup). Then she used two very drying foundations. Luckily I got through the photos for my friends wedding day but my skin flaked extremely bad. It was mortifying. Another bridesmaid even woke up with bad eye infections the following day.To top it all off the next day when I was applying mascara I noticed big parts fo my eyelashes were gone! The eyelash curler they had used actually cut my eyelashes off! They never said anything, just added mascara and applied fake lashes. I reached out to the company about the experience and a woman told me she felt bad and that she would send me some eyelash conditioner to help my lashes grow. Its been over two weeks since this happened and I have yet to receive any kind of product from Scott Miller for my lashes.I expected more from Scott Miller. A company that costs that much money should have never been using poor quality products and should have a way to accommodate people with sensitive skin. They especially shouldnt be giving people eye infections and cutting off their lashes.

I just had tape in extentions done by kailee...I am so obsessed with them and how natural they look and feel..and kailee is just the best!..Just so happy i did this service!

I was very impressed with Avery, the junior hair colorist! I highly recommend Avery to color your hair! She was the best with professionalism, and the results were beautiful. The junior colorist charges $50 plus $10 more for blow styling. Please make an appointment soon and ask for the junior colorist, Avery.

Lovely salon, very stylish without pretension. Went in for color as part of the model program. My colorist was very well trained and focused on making my hair look good. I attended an eyebrow demo class with makeup artist China. She was so sweet and had given the group time to understand each step making it easy to follow. She matched my colors perfectly, which I ended up purchasing. I know that with time and practice Ill become better. I cant wait for the next class.

So at first I thought my cut was okay. When I got home I noticed how uneven and botched it really was. I asked for it stacked in the back and it’s tapered on the sides with a lot of hair down the middle of my head. I never liked my hair cut with a razor and it’s just frizzy and fly always are untamable. Over 85 dollars later I could puke.

Came initially because I got a gift card for mothers day and now Im a faithful customer of Olgas waxing. She is professional and very fast. Gets you in and out. Love coming here.

I really love getting my hair cut here. The stylists are very talented and have given me some of the best cuts of my life! The staff is friendly, always helpful, and they make you feel comfortable.I had to take away one star though, because I have tried getting my hair highlighted here (single color/gray coverage has always been great, fyi) multiple times and Ive been disappointed with it every time, even after trying different colorists. Im not sure if Im just poorly communicating what I want or the colorists just dont really care to try to give the customer what they want...but its frustrating and very expensive.

My sister and I went here to buy Mac makeup for a summer wedding. We knew exactly which products we needed but after about 5 minutes of looking, nobody said hello or would help us. We walk towards the one girl working and she looked busy and walked away despite the fact that we were the only ones in the store. Thankfully the wedding was in Princeton, NJ and we bought all our makeup there!

Scott Miller Salon is a very beautiful, well put together Salon. The people are friendly and there is such a plethora of items. The Mac store inside is great as well!

I had my hair and makeup done at Scott Miller in Pittsford as well as my entire bridal party! The hair stylists did a fantastic job with everyones hair, whether they had a specific request or the stylist had free range to demonstrate their creativity!! My bridal party looked stunning!!! The makeup artists made everyone look beautiful!!! The staff at Scott Miller helped the day go by without pause or any stress and were very accommodating! Everything was perfect! We had our own private room to get ready for the day! As a bride, Craig completed a gorgeous bridal Updo that lasted the entire evening and Katie perfected my makeup that made me feel like a beautiful bride for my wedding, both highly recommended!! However you can’t go wrong with any of the team members at Scott Miller, they all encompass such amazing talent!! My bridal party could not stop talking about how nice the salon is and how happy they were with everything! Thank you for everything!!

I had Lola( currently she is under training, but will be officially on the floor as a full stylist soon) cut my hair during my visit, and she did a wonderful job on transferring my messy shoulder-long hair into a cute Bob style. Absolutely love it! Got lots of compliments ever since. Definitely recommend, you get absolutely gorgeous look for what you will pay. I enrolled in their Apprentice program for which you will be a live model for their current trainees and you get your hair cut for free!! Call them beforehand to ask about this and they will help you make an appointment with one of their apprentice.

I attended the Xmas event 17 days ago. One of the items I purchased was out of stock and I have yet to receive the merchandise or a call. After I posted this review the manager Sylvana called me directly to apologize for delay and communication. She really showed an interest in my concerns . This tells me they are genuine about customer service. My product is in and she is even shipping it to me. I would also like to add that the staff have always been courteous, friendly and always helpful.

Absolutely gorgeous! Every time I stop in the staff is very welcoming and they know their stuff when I have a question about a product. They sell a lot of brands that you just wont find anywhere else in town like MAC, Jo Malone, Kiehls, and so many more.

When is a company trying to hard to be chic? I went in to buy gift cards and was told by a somewhat disinterested person at what looks like a cashiers station that I needed to see a Coordinator as she pointed to the rear of the salon. What the heck is that? I need a cashier, a clerk, a rather low task challenged person to sell me a gift card maybe with a smile and a few nice words.... heck some companies now even have kiosks that do that so why do I need someone called a coordinator to sell me a piece of plastic for a few hundred bucks? As nice as the place continues to be, the level of super chic being attempted is a bit over the top. Fancy names do not enhance the experience, getting up from behind what looks like a reception desk and walking me back to the cashier (sorry-coordinator) would be much more impressive.

I really enjoyed Scott Miller Webster more than the Pittsford location. At the Pittsford location everyone (stylists and clientele both) can be very snooty and will barely look at you, smile, etc. The receptionists are hit or miss - either they’re rude and short or nice and sweet. I highly recommend the Webster location as it’s much more low key and the clientele and staff are much friendlier. Both salons do great work, but I’m all about the atmosphere. If I don’t like the atmosphere (especially if I’m spending $100+ dollars) then you won’t find me there.

Make a tea, coffee, hot chocolate, then have your head washed—-massaged, more appropriately.In the open, ventilated, clean space, sit back and let Jen or Maureen or Hilley, (or Scott if you can get an appointment.) take your hair from ‘meh’ to ‘mmmm’, and walk out feeling fresh and new.Yep, you pay for what you get....And don’t leave without some bumble or kerastase shampoo. THE BEST.If you have some extra $$, pick up a Jo Malone room spray or perfume.Incredible scents like no other!

I just moved to Rochester and after about 2 minutes of searching for a salon chose Scott Miller. I went to John who had the daunting task of fixing my previous cut...not only did he fix my random layers, the cut feels amazing! He cut some life into my thick, heavy hair thats perfect for spring/summer. I scheduled another appointment with him in 6 weeks. Some people have said the cuts are expensive, but honestly, $40 dollars is an absolute steal. In my experience, a cut like this runs at least $70.

I frequent SM salon, along with numerous other places, I like to keep my options open. However, I always end up migrating back to SM. Lindsey cut and styled my naturally curly hair, (which I loathe). I whined on about my hair, and she listened. She offered ideas, advice, and asked me questions. And did I mention she listened? I found her to be very genuine, helpful and talented.

I would not especially suggest getting your hair colored here, but I do love their cuts, beauty products and lets face it they sell mac cosmetics !!

This place is really nice snd clean staff are very friendly the reason why I put 3/5 stars is because they lied to me about animal testing on there mac products they told me they diddent but after some web searching on the internet it turns out they do im not sure about there other brands but mac dose
