First, I never leave reviews and have had a tough time really finding a good salon since I moved to Rochester. I went to check out this salon today and had a great experience with Ella. Incredible hair cut and highlights, like, one of the best I have ever had!!! I will definitely be back. I found the whole environment to be relaxed, engaging and warm. I practically told Ella my whole life story. But its that kind of place!!! She does great work and is a very kind soul to boot!!
I made a pedicure appointment for my boyfriend and I less than 24 hours in advance. They were very nice over the phone and I was thrilled with they could accommodate an appointment for us at 10am the next day. A while later I got a voicemail asking if we could come in at 10:30am instead, I called back twice during business hours to confirm the time change but could not get ahold of them. We showed up at 10am when they open (just in case) and were fine with waiting until 10:30am if necessary. It was a little while after 10am before someone even showed up to let us and another customer in. While waiting we could hear two employees talking about our appointment and at one point could hear one whisper just tell them to go across the street. At 10:15am we were greeted and told that one of the employees who was supposed to be doing our pedicures could not get their car to start. They said that they could do our pedicures separately but they understood that we probably wanted them together. She knew we were going on vacation and couldnt offer us an appointment the next day. She said if we wanted them done together we could just go across the street. We had to Google the nail salon they were talking about since she didnt even tell us. The place across the street was a much lesser quality salon and couldnt even see us for 30 minutes. At this point it was getting late into the morning and we had other places to be and couldnt get our nails done. I absolutely understand that we called with short notice and that an employee was having car issues, but the way that the situation was handled was incredibly unprofessional. To talk poorly of customers within earshot, tell them to go to a different business (not even give a name) that is not the same quality is so disappointing. They could have just been honest with us from the time we came in the door rather than have us wait and be told to go somewhere else or get pedicures separately. There was barely even an apology as we left. Will not go back again and hope to find a more professional nail salon in the area. Two stars for accommodating the appointment within less than 24 hours.
Ive been searching for a place for my sister and I to get our nails done this weekend, and, I’ve never been here, and won’t be coming simply for the owners response under the last google review.That’s a matter you should have contacted her to resolve. A simple “we apologize for your experience” and maybe an offer for a free re do would have been suffice. A business owner shouldn’t be bickering with a customer and correcting them like that. Sorry. Not sorry.
To start off, the prices are pretty fair. I would say it’s pretty inexpensive here and lots of parking spots. However, the inside is disgusting. Hair on the ground and sticky floors. Had my hair washed and back of neck felt dirty / stick immediately afterwards. Should’ve listened to my gut and not came here after looking at the review above of the owner’s response. Instead of offering a refund argued back. Very high lack of professionalism. “Essentials” ? No thanks.
Eve is absolutely great. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome.

I had an appointment but the stylist was a half an hour late. A different stylist insisted that she put me in a chair and put an apron around my neck while I waited. I chose this place because they said they had a relaxing atmosphere and didnt allow walk-ins. The stylist next to me chatted the whole time about some horrible suicide. I asked for a bayalange. They said they could do it. I had a picture. I ended up with simply red hair from my ears down.
Owner is great and knows how to handle business. UNLIKE Spa at La Bella in penfield. DO NOT waste time at La Bella go here instead. My wife and I love getting massages here. No catty eye rolling receptionist that is never not there. If you are looking for a good husband wife pedi go here not LA HELLA.

I never write reviews ever but I felt that I needed to tell others what to expect while coming here for hair appointments. I decided to give this salon a chance from recieving a Groupon as a gift for Christmas. They open at 10:00am and I called at 12:00pm to make a hair appointment to get a balayage, wash and cut. The lady who picked up the phone, “Ameila”, told me the girl “Ella” wasn’t at the shop currently, and to leave a name and number for her to call back at 3:00pm. On this day, I worked at 4:00pm until 9:00pm therefore, I was depending on recieving the call back in a timely manner to be able to make an appointment. I recieved the phone call at 7:32pm. Obviously, I was at work and could not pick up the phone. Anyways... fast forward to arriving at the salon. My appointment was at 1:00pm on a snowy Thursday. I arrived at 12:10pm, extra early. Right when I came in, I was seated and around 12:40pm “Ella” came right to see me. She was very professional at first, shaking my hand saying hello. I showed “Ella” a photo of what I wanted done to my hair and told her that it was “exactly how I would like it”. She said alright and began with the process. During the bleaching process, two parents with their baby walked in. She immediately put down the equipment in her hands and walked to the baby and had a conversation for at least 5 minutes. She came back and did not even apologize for leaving. On top of that, while “Ella” and I were making small talk, “Amelia” her mother kept interrupting mid conversation (happened about 3 times) and I also recieved no apology. The whole 2 hours I spent with “Ella” she acted annoyed towards me and as if I was a hassle, paying HER with my own money to do my hair. At the end, she asked me how I wanted my hair cut and I asked her for layers with a “V” shape. The photo of how I wanted my hair is Brown, with lighter brown and hints of blonde highlights. My hair now is black, half-way down blonde. And it is cut straight across, as if she used a razor. I recieved a “half-ass job” in my full opinion and I hope you take your money elsewhere.
