Im giving three stars because all the staff I interacted with were great, except for Dr. Tu. It was my first time going here and he made me feel like I was wasting his time. I had an 8am appointment, so I know I was his first patient of the day. I tried explaining how I have two moles that look concerning. Theyve gotten bigger and are two toned. He spent, and Im not exaggerating, less than 1 second looking at each of them. He said I cant just get them removed because I dont like them and all but had to get him to say hed do a biopsy on them. He is rude and is incredibly dismissive. The woman in the room working with him had such an apologetic look on her face while he was talking so rude to me. I honestly feel bad that she probably has to deal with him most days. If you have to go here I DO NOT recommend seeing Dr. Tu. I will be going to a different dermatology place to have my moles actually looked at. I do not want this doctor touching me at all and will not schedule my biopsy with him. Hes the worst doctor I have ever interacted with.

I very highly recommend Dermatology Associates. Everyone that works there is highly professional. They listen to you and help achieve your goals! I literally look younger than when I first walked in. I especially like Dr Young. He listens and and he is amazing at what he does. I will never go anywhere else! Everyone should feel their very best. Dermatology Associates definitely delivers!!!

I had a ThermaFacial performed by Katie in the office. I chose the treatment because I wanted to improve collagen wasting as well as create a tighter/firmer appearance immediately. This treatment did not disappoint. Katie was amazing throughout the treatment. It was not uncomfortable or painful, just cycles of heating/cooling. It took about 75min and Katie talked me through the entire experience. The best part is - there is NO downtime. I worked out that afternoon. I did this 4 days before my wedding and the photos definitely show an improved and well-defined jawline/cheekbones! Will definitely be doing again. Highly recommend!

My coolscuplting experience was fantastic! I had an upcoming trip to Hawaii and wanted to look my best. Katie made me feel super at ease and it was very tolerable for a non invasive treatment. I cant thank her enough for making me feel confident and look great in my swim suit.

When I saw Danielle Ravleigh, NP 6 weeks ago she prescribed just what I needed with clear and concise guidance. It worked like a charm. Both she and Patrick, MA were easy to talk to and provided professional and thorough care! Definitely recommend you go see them

Ive been bringing my mother here for a few years. I was happy with the practice up until this year. The office needs to stop trying to cut corners and hire exterminators and cleaners.Back in March I noticed the floor in the room my mother was seen in was visibly dirty (clumps of dirt, oil marks, hair, smoker smell). After this visit, Ive been hyper aware of the offices cleanliness and I wish I could go back to being unaware. Bugs! The office has a bug problem, noticed this at two visits. The office also is kept at 73 degrees (very uncomfortable). I also noticed again visible dirt on the floor of the rooms (all three past visits, all in different rooms).Bugs are vectors for diseases and the fact that the office is hot and dirty only makes the concern more alarming.I personally go to Helendale Dermatology and I think my mom needs to switch on over too. Never had this issue there, in fact when I chatted with the owner over there she said shes had previous patients from Dermatology Associates complain of similar things.

Danielle Rawleigh is my favorite dermatologist ever! She listens and is thorough. She helped me with an issue that four others before her either misdiagnosed or didn’t understand. I will only go to her!

They are very friendly, professional, helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable.As of recently, I started seeing Danielle, which has been a wonderful experience. Carly did my lash lift & tint and it came out amazing! It was my first time doing anything to my lashes and she was so bubbly, kind, & knowledgeable, walking me through the whole process and making sure I was comfortable the entire time!! I love my lashes and I can’t wait to come back!

I had consult with Dr. Young. He was professional, courteous, and informative. His recommendations were actually less expensive solutions to the inquiry than I expected. I learned a lot and so far, would recommend him. I’ll post another review if I actually undergo the procedure discussed.The office is always pleasant and staff friendly.

Had one Miradry procedure in December to remove sweat glands from my armpits. The only slightly uncomfortable part was the Novocaine injections; the rest was painless, and the doctor always made sure i wasnt feeling the heat from the device used. She was friendly and easy to talk to during the ~1 - 1 1/2 hour procedure. Im now in North Carolina in 90+ degree weather and my armpit sweating is unnoticeable.

Beautiful Facility!! Staff is amazing and caring. The Dr.s listen to the desires of their patients and make appropriate recommendations. They really go out of their way to ensure your comfort! Looking forward to my upcoming follow up and future results!! Highly recommended!!

The office is very clean, modern and classy. The staff is very nice as well. However, when I went for a consultation for botox and fillers instead of offering solutions to my areas of concern they pushed product placement in other areas. To be honest with you, I think the injector just isnt comfortable with anything that might be a little tricky or challenging. I guess Id rather them tell me, no I wasnt a candidate then use me as a guinea pig. I ended up going to a different office with much better results.

My visit was excellent. Dr Loss was very detailed and showed great bedside manner. I felt super comfortable asking her any questions and felt that she was very thorough. I would suggest this practice to anyone looking for a dermatology office in the Rochester area.

This spot is THE BEST. From start to finish the service!! Gina was so delightful and helpful on the phone and eased all of my concerns about the COVID check on protocols (which by the way are super safe and easy to follow, I’m just a nervous nelly). And then upon walking in, Caroline T. met me and made the screening process also super quick and easy. Such an angel. And then Danielle was able to really help me with my concerns. She breathed confidence and her expertise was easy to recognize. I feel so blessed to have this spot in Rochester!!

I just recently had my eyebrows microbladed by Lauren and I am OBSESSED. She was so attentive to details and a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when getting cosmetic work done (especially on your face). I had the miraDry procedure done with Dr. Weitz a couple of months ago. I was extremely nervous to get this done but he alleviated a lot of my fears by making it comfortable and informative. My results are great and experienced little down time. Would recommend if you suffer from hyperhidrosis.

I am so pleased with my visit at the Dermatology Associates of Rochester. I have been having problems for years now with my acne and I tried so hard to fix it myself. One visit (so far) with Danielle and Kim and I am over the moon! My skin is already feeling smooth, less red, and general changes for the better. I havent used their services, but Ive taken someone else there for a few different treatments & they LOVE it. However, I have called with questions & the receptionist was very friendly & knowledgeable. How phone staff present themselves & a business/service is all-important to me: you can win or lose my business right on the spot. I also like that there is plenty parking as well as their performance of Covid-19 protocols. So based on my acquaintances experiences with DermaSpa & how my inquiry was handled, I would go there if I want or need such services.

Dermaspa is a great place. Very professional.Ive been going there for a couple months now and I like it. Do I feel like some of their products and methods could be improved for darker skin tones...yes. From sunscreen to skin products.

Kristyn is literally the best, I love how knowledgeable she is when it comes to the skin and she will only recommend the best for you. What I also like is how honest she is, if she feels like something will not work for your face she will let you know. In the end expect nothing but the best from this team! My wife had really bad experience there. 1st time she was seen by a NP (though we were told that will be seen by a MD). The next appointment were seen by Dr Loss and would say extremely unprofessional. Brought 4 med students without our consent. Had to put words into her mouth and she was just repeating me. No real benefit of the appointment

Completely underwhelming and unhelpful. Went in for a face rash twice. Saw a nurse for less than 10 minutes each time who offered no diagnostic and very little treatment help. Both times they seemed totally disinterested in assisting me. Would not recommend to anyone, especially not to non-white people. $40 copays down the drain for literally nothing. The internet was more helpful than this office.

Before going to the DermaSpa I felt completely lost. I had no idea who to see or where to go to, or who to TRUST when it came to my skin. I was really struggling with acne, really painful, ugly acne. I had a friend recommend the DermaSpa (Kristyn) and I will never go anywhere else. It took one facial and now I’m HOOKED for life. Kristyn recommended that I see a dermatologist to help with acne, specifically scarring because she felt that would be best for my skin, how can you pass up that honesty!? From the moment I met her I trusted that she had my (skins) best interest in mind. She answered all of my questions from start to finish, she kept me informed about what she was doing and how it helped my skin. I was very comfortable upon arrival, everyone that works there is so kind and they want to make sure that you are taken care of. Over all, very hospitable, genuine and caring about their patients’ needs. Also, who could pass up amazing spa staff that is affiliated with a dermatology office!? Even if you have semi *clear* skin, definitely consider taking the time to schedule facials with the DermaSpa on the regular .. you won’t regret it.10/10 would recommend!

The office was very nice and clean and the staff and nurse were nice and helpful, but Dr Tu was not the best. It was a rushed appointment and he did not seem to care at all to actually get to know a new patient. I went in wanting to get check because i have a history of skin cancer ... he walked in said hello did a VERY quick check of my skin, did not even look at a mole i wasmost concerned over after i explained it he rubbed it off as being fine, and then told me to take pictures if anything changes come back. i wont be going back, as a new patient you want to feel welcome and comfortable. i felt rushed and as if my concerns were worth his time.

I had a 10:30 appointment and was checked in on time. At 11:10 I was still waiting in the waiting room, with no one acknowledging I was there, and no explanation of why they were running so late. I went to the counter to tell them I had been waiting for 40 minutes and wanted to cancel my appointment. The receptionist asked me if I wanted her to check how much longer it would be and I told her I had waited long enough. I had taken the day off of work to be there. I am very disappointed in them and their service.

I had a pedicure with Katelyn a few weeks ago, I cannot say enough about this experience. I am not a pedicure connoisseur by any means, but I have had dozens over the years... I was very impressed with Katelyns meticulous attention to detail, gentle touch, incredible massage and the overall experience.

I was seen pretty quickly. Staff were kind and helpful. Dr Tu was informative and explained the skin check he was doing. His bedside manner was a little brusque. The skin check was surprisingly quick!

I can’t even begin to explain how much the providers at Dermatology Associates of Rochester helped me! I had a rare skin condition that doctors at the hospital couldn’t diagnose and one telehealth appointment with Dr. Loss and Danielle Rawleigh, NP, I was diagnosed and treated and within a few days I was cured and pain free! I was treated with professionalism and courtesy by everyone at the office. The nurse practitioner that i met with was prompt, friendly and attentive. I did not feel as though she was trying to rush me in and out as quickly as possible in order to move on to someone else. Overall it was a good experience.

I am writing to review the DermaSpa. The spa itself is super clean and posh with a variety of services and products. I came in to see Carrie for laser hair removal. She makes you feel super comfortable and explains everything she is doing. She is very welcoming in answering any questions. Plus the results are fantastic and affordable. I highly recommend checking out this spa.

Im writing a review for the DermSpa. I have had a variety of services.. CoolSculpting, CoolTone, MiraDry, Ultherapy and Zaffiro. Katie is extremely knowledgeable, makes you feel very comfortable and explains everything that she is doing. The results are fantastic. I would highly recommend the MiraDry. The staff is very pleasant and efficient. Wait time is minimal.

Just wow! I hit the peak of frustration with a dermatological condition and reached out via web inquiry as a potential new patient. I was impressed to get a phone call back within an hour of my inquiry and thrilled to luck into a cancellation that allowed me to be seen promptly. From check-in through check-out I was impressed with the kind and professional team that made me feel welcomed, put me at ease, validated my concerns, and gave me confidence that my condition would be remedied. Im looking forward to my follow-up in January.

Scheduled a checkup for my vitiligo progression and a couple moles I wanted to make sure werent cancerous. I arrived early, waited in my car to be called for COVID protocols. I was called a few minutes past my appointment time, no big deal. I was met at the door by a nice young lady who escorted me to the exam room. I gave her all the info she requested, then waited for the doctor. After 15-20 minutes the Dr. Lesley Loss arrived asking me what the purpose of my visit was. I thought this was kind of strange being that I filled out an online form, talked on the phone with a receptionist, and just gave all of my info to the tech. When I explained the purpose (again) she stared blankly at me for a few uncomfortable seconds. She kind of shook her head, as if I was wasting her time. Wasnt really a pleasant introduction. She then looked at a couple moles with a light, said they didnt look suspicious, and gave me a rundown of vitiligo that I already knew. Im 44 and have had vitiligo since I was 19. I just wanted a checkup since I havent had one in over 15 years. She then left, and the tech immediately gave me instructions to leave. Totally felt like an idiot for scheduling this appointment. I was given no paperwork due to COVID. No problem, I figured Id get a follow up call at some point - nope, maybe a follow up email - nope, maybe a follow up letter in he mail - nope. All Ive received is a bill for $35. My insurance apparently didnt cover the entire cost of this waste of time. One of the worst exams Ive ever had. Being proactive on your health isnt easy. Ill never go back to this place.

Dr. John Tu is an absolute professional who truly cares about his patients. He is constantly working to improve the quality of care and is invested in the all important long term care of his patients. Overtime, he has developed a synergistic approach to find a solution that works for me. Thank you Dr. Tu you have truly changed my life! 😀

I would highly recommended going here. They got us in very quickly when we had a concern about my daughter. Treated her amazingly and us as well. Resolved the issue on first visit. The staff is awesome from reception to the doctor.

Like a dummy I wrote down the wrong time for my followup appointment and arrived 1 hour early. They were very accommodating and got me in well before my scheduled time. Plus I am always treated very well & leave feeling better about my skin

I was very impressed with Dermatology Associates from the moment I entered the door. The receptionist was very pleasant and my wait was less than 5 minutes. My nurse Ashley was very professional, great personality, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. The exam room was meticulously clean as well as the entire office. Dr. Loss is a top-notch physician. She was very pleasant, through, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I was previously going to a different Dermatologist who I was very disappointed with and changed over to Dr. Loss. Best move I did. Thank you Dr. Loss and staff.

I saw Larissa, one of the NP’s a few months back. She was great! Put me on adapalene and an antibiotic to help with some skin issues. Scheduled my follow up with Jennifer, another NP weeks later and expressed concern over adapalene causing some neck irritation but I still wanted to treat it. She prescribed dapsone gel and told me to use it on my neck, arms, etc. I followed instructions to start off slow, but after a few applications I had a full blown rash on my neck. Scaly, itchy, red. Called the office, a secretary said “you should call your pcp”. I questioned this because A) this is a dermatology office, and B) JENNIFER PRESCRIBED THE GEL! Nevertheless, saw my pcp. He put me on triamcinolone. It helped some, but never fully cleared. He also said it looked like a classic reaction to topical dapsone. Finished the course, but it still had a persistent spot. My pcp recommended returning to Dermatology Associates.This time I was scheduled with Dr Tu. Boy was that a mistake. First off, he walked in saying “so this is your first time with us?” Red flag. I’ve been a patient for years, and two seconds looking at my chart would show that I was returning. Then he asked “Who told you to put dapsone on your neck?” And I said Jennifer specifically told me to (it was the reason for the rx!). Then he asked “well how do you know dapsone caused this?” Well, maybe because it happened after using the gel? He looked at my neck, said “it doesn’t look that bad”, despite being obviously dry, red and irritated. I said “uh, I have makeup on?” BUT IT WAS STILL VERY OBVIOUS! He acted shocked. Second red flag. Then he said, “usually we put you on something called triamcinolone.” At that point, the nurse chimed in that I already used it. FINAL. RED. FLAG. It was abundantly clear he hadn’t looked at my chart, history, anything. I also had an allergic reaction to a non-rx cleanser on my chest/arms which he wrote off as keratosis pilaris. I have had very small marks on my arms for ages, however THE BUMPS DIDN’T APPEAR UNTIL AFTER USING THE CLEANSER!Dr Tu cared more about hearing his own voice than anything I had to say. He seemed in a rush, despite being his first patient after lunch. Dr Tu prescribed tacrolimus which has possible links to lymphoma, skin cancer and other cancers (rare, but listed). He could’ve just given me a steroid or antibiotic to clear, but he didn’t. Dr Tu also said that if this medication doesn’t clear the rash I’ll need a skin biopsy. Nah, I’m good. I’m not getting sliced because this office refuses to hold themselves accountable and choose to make poor treatment decisions. I picked up the medication in case I decide to use it, but am working on finding ANY other dermatologist because this practice cares more about money than actually helping patients.

The services here are amazing! I come for facials, manicures and pedicures. Katelyn is wonderful! She got to know my needs and goals for my appointment(s) and made sure I understood the products she used so I would have a great plan for after care. My skin has never been more clear!

Great experience: very short wait before being called. All personnel that I dealt with were pleasant and wanted to help me. Dr was efficient and answered my questions to my satisfaction. My only complaint was listening to a long recording of your services before being connected to a live person regarding my appointment. I feel the Dr was especially helpful in solving my problem and I feel I accomplished a lot in my short visit.

My first experience at the DermaSpa was wonderful! I have never been to any spa before so everything was very new to me, this being said, Kristyn did my facial and it was incredible! My skin feels and looks better and I definitely feel more confident. The staff is so friendly and helpful too, I will be back for sure!

These people know their stuff! I suffered for years and went to numerous specialist. It may be a 2 hour drive, but well worth it. I have Jen. She is having a baby boy very soon, but will be back to help you all get back to a normal life again! Jen is my hero! I have been with this group for 2 years now and I have my life style and healthy skin back! 💖💞

The Dermatology team here is TRULY 2nd to none! They are always professional and attentive to my needs and answer my medical questions fully. The spa staff are masters of their craft and the anti-aging suite offers treatments to make you look and feel your best! I have personally had several treatments here and will never go anywhere else!

Had a precancerous mole removed. I was in and out within the half hour and yet the time Dr. Tu spent with me was enough. I felt he did a good job and it is healing nicely....5 stitches.

So far Im very impressed. Much better than Strong Dermatology on Red Creek. I switched because I can never get in without waiting well over 2 months to see someone. Everyone at Dermatology Associates of Rochester was very nice and the treatment plan for my skin problems were much more customized to the real issues instead of a generic antibiotic and cream. If you are a new patient its going to take a long time for your first appointment but if you ask to be put on their cancellation list, they can usually get you in very fast. I got in 3 days after my initial call!

I used to go here when Dr Loss was my Doctor. He was amazing... he made everyone feel important and cared for. He was such a nice man and very knowledgeable!! Brought my kids there because I had such a great experience when I needed a dermatologist . We were seeing Ann Marie for a while, and we loved her.. but she left. We were then put with a younger Nurse Practitioner who I don’t think had any real idea what it was like to deal with acne ... she didn’t listen at all to what my kids said. She came in she told us what we could try and left the room. She gave us 5 mins tops... each time we came. No real interest in discussing anything. When I asked what sun protection would be best to use because the meds were causing my kids faces to burn in sun... she proceeded to tell me what works for her “sisters little kids”. We felt like we needed to find a more experienced person with some more real world knowledge, as well as more medical knowledge.

I am recently new to this area and I happened to come across the Dermaspa in an online search. I did not know what to expect as I love the spa I go to where I am from. However, after my first experience at the spa I must say my fears of a new place went away. I was greeted by the front staff graciously and felt at ease. One thing that I pay close attention to in my line of work is customer service and team building and I observed the interactions within the employees and I was impressed. My facial was amazing and I will keep coming back. I already feel like these girls are my family away from home! Thanks for this experience

The doctors, nurses and staff strive to offer the newest procedures and medicine available. Knowing that the medical team is constantly learning and interfacing with dermatologists internationally, I am assured that I am receiving the best care for my skin health.

Dr. Loss and staff are very attentive to your needs. Always explain exactly what they’re doing. Ease of location helps too.

Dr. Tu is just wonderful. I love that he hears me and finds a way, sometimes without prescription drugs to heal whatever is wrong. Have been seeing him for years!

Great experience. Never had been there before, had a problem that my doctor had no answer for. Called the Dermatology Associates and they got me in the next day, did everything they could to help.

Dermatology PA was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.She provided solutions for medication side effects and submitted prior authorizations for medications with fewer side effects.Front desk staff and nurses werepleasant, and professional.I look forward to Future appointments at this office.

Dr. Loss seemed knowledgeable at first, but when my skin biopsy results came in she didn’t even meet with me on my return visit—instead I saw a nurse practitioner who passed along her understanding of the results and said it was “probably” something that it turned out not to be. When I questioned that diagnosis, I was told the doctor would call me to discuss, but she never did. I don’t plan to return to this practice.

Terrible ! Would not recommend.

I have gone a few times over the years, the staff has always been excellent. Dr Tu took excellent care of significant ingrown toenails that developed on both big toes. He was quick, careful, and thorough in his execution of removal and repair, in both instances. He explained what he was doing during the procedures so I felt good throughout. Dr Tu answered any and all questions both my husband and I had. I would happily recommend Dr Tu and the staff at Dermatology Associates of Rochester. They made these medical issues, for me, a thing of the past, thank you!

Best of all, I found Dr. Loss to be thorough, understanding and helpful. I am glad I found this practice and will definitely be referring my friends and family there.

I had Coolsculpting done to my abdomen and flank area. I workout all of the time but those are the areas I have some trouble with. Im so excited to see the results! The staff are warm and inviting. The office is cozy! I would highly recommend this practice and staff!
