Once I step inside and fill out my paperwork, I was seen immediately. There was no wait. And everyone is so nice. The Dentist and his assistant made me feel so comfortable. They worked effectively and had me out of there in a timely manner. There’s no other dentist I will go to. I will refer all my friends and family here.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. I have been having problems with my teeth for years and other dentists could not figure it out. I finally got answers during my first visit here. I am so excited to move forward with the treatment plan.

By far the best experience Ive ever had at Rochester Dental Clinic than other dental offices Ive been. And this coming from a guy thats from Chicago that moved to a lot of different states. I came here on a short noticed situation. My previous dental office (Main Street Dental) would not take me for my routine 6 months cleaning because I was 20 minutes late to my rescheduled appointment that they had to reschedule because their dental hygienist, left early for feeling sick. They wanted me to wait 5 additional months to get my cleaning because thats the soonest they could get me in. My thoughts were way to long between cleaning. So I decided to look elsewhere and thats when RDC took me the same day appt. You first get a warm greeting at the reception desk. They give you forms to fill out and before you sit down from returning the forms you already taken back for care. So really no wait to be seen. Than you are greeted by the dental hygienist who was great as well. You can definitely tell she loves her job and her coworkers because it showed in her performance. She was patient and took her time explaining everything from introducing herself to cleaning my teeth. She did not rush through she explained everything she was doing and made sure I was comfortable at all times. She made sure both she and I was satisfied with the work she was doing and I truly appreciated that. Dr. Merfeld was amazing you definitely tell hes passionate about his profession he introduced himself to me, took a look at my teeth and my prior xray and knew exactly what he wanted to do to help progress my oral care. Hes very smart and he told me things that I was self conscious about like when I smiled you see more gums than teeth that no other DDS ever told me about in my life and what he can do to fix that. He took his time examining my whole mouth and throat and neck to look for any abnormalities and etc. He was very personable and actually sit and talked with you and not just look at you teeth and say your teeth looks good keep doing what you are doing and leave like Ive experienced from so many other DDS. They found things I didnt know about and other DDS fail to mention like I have a small hole developing in my top teeth that is not a cavity but can eventually develop into a cavity if not addressed, so he already knows how to attack that situation and we going to get ahead of it at my next appt which is soon. My overall experience is great and I am truly glad I missed my appointment at the other dental office because I would have not been able to experience what a real dental office should feel and look like. The office is clean and sterile everything was nicely organized and presentable. Also Dr. Merfeld said he loves doing Orthodontics work so if you are looking into getting braces maybe inquire with RDC. Dr. Tate is so welcoming and funny. Along with his assistant Jenna, they made my dreaded fear of dentist appointments tolerable! Talking to keep me calm and making sure I was always doing okay. Asking to see pictures of my daughter. Really invested, kept me at ease. He knew I needed to get out at a certain time and made sure to make it happen! Great dental office and really nice folks!I changed for my long-standing dental office (for insurance reasons) to Rochester Dental. My previous dental office was, and still is, a top-shelf office with as great reputation, so I was a bit concerned about the change. To my surprise and pleasure, I found that RDC is every bit as knowledgeable, experienced, and caring as my previous dental office was (and Im sure, still is), and the insurance coverage is better.Without any hesitation, I recommend RDC for your dental care.

Rochester dental clinic was amazing to work with after having a poor experience with a filling elsewhere. They were able to schedule for a consultation same day, and was able to do a root canal that day as well to ensure that I was pain free by the end of the day. Dr. Tate called the next morning to check in on everything as well. We will be transferring all of our dental care here and recommending this clinic with high praise.

Rochester Dental Clinic is by far the best dental clinic I have been to. Dr. Tate is so experienced, compassionate and professional. He makes my visit a positive experience every time. I always feel at ease, he answers all my questions carefully and does a phenomenal job. His hygienist Lonna takes special care each time and has helped to get me on the path to healthier dental hygiene.

I have a phobia of the dentist. Dr. Tate and the rest of the staff did an outstanding job putting me at ease.

Went there for the first time with my husband for our separate appointments. Had just spontaneously decided to switch all dental care there after lack of satisfaction at Dr Richard Cohen’s office. Best decision we could’ve made. What other dentist will happily welcome and accept, and work with their patients while one has a little 13 month old baby with? Our appointments were scheduled for a timing that would make us one after the other, so we could switch with baby in the lobby while the other is in the chair. Well, my appointment was first, and we actually went over quite a bit, because while we had planned a cleaning, they saw that I had clearly needed further debris removal, after having already went through it at Dr. Cohen’s office, where they did exactly what they were “supposed to do.” They left lots behind because it wasn’t required to be removed. Didn’t even tell me there was more UNDER MY GUM LINE. My dentist at RDC actually took her time out to get it all out, explaining to me how gingivitis and I were apparently good friends, since I’ve been walking around with all this backup in my mouth for so long. Who expects to go to a dentist or any public and professional business and get a half job done, and not even have a clue? They cleaned me well, gave me very thorough and helpful tips on aftercare, and they gladly set up my next appointment for my cleaning to take place AFTER my gums have healed. All she kept saying during the cleaning was “I just wanna get it all out now, once and done, instead of ignoring it only for it to come up later and be even worse.” They made me feel good about myself. I’m not even sure how, but I left there with more confidence and understanding of my own mouth than I’d arrived with. Everyone should go here, to the place where they show you that they truly care about their patients, and not just about getting their money. PS: They even gave me newer/onsite X-rays because the ones Dr. Cohen sent over weren’t even very good in quality. Didn’t charge me a thing for that. They just wanted to be sure they were seeing correctly what they needed. Great establishment. Great care. 2 thumbs up!
