I am so grateful to Vogels for the work they did on my 2002 Civic. My car has a fair amount of body damage but minimal other problems and low mileage for its age. When I was rear-ended recently, I was worried that that was the end for my car. After a quick Google search, I called Vogels and was able to bring it in that day for an estimate, which I felt was very reasonable. I was able to bring in the car the following week for repair and was able to pick it up the next day. I am thrilled with the results. They certainly were able to make it driveable again, and it also came in under budget. They were fast, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing body work!!

Great experience-- another shop tried to grift me, so I came here for a second estimate and they got the work done quickly, professionally and for a really reasonable rate without hard sells and with a lot of transparency about the cost and what work was going in. Hopefully I dont need to go back for anything, but theyre definitely top of my list for body work and Ill be recommending them widely!

My rear bumper was damaged in a hit and run, and I was given Vogels as a recommendation for the repair.Upon pickup, it was returned with a scuff on the newly painted bumper and a new dent had appeared above my wheel well. Additionally, the marks left by the license plate of the offending car were still visible on the bumper and the plastic below it.The second star is for their promise to make it right, however, I dont understand how they could possibly consider this repair complete.I welcome the opportunity to speak to them further....Edit:Added 2 more stars.I will give them credit. They acknowledged the issues and made it right, and covered my rental.The final results look great.

Ive been using this place for 20 years and they are awesome! They have repaired to cars after deer hits. And numerous other minor fender benders and bumps. Barry always takes great care of me and the work is excellent.

We had an estimate but had not gotten approval to proceed with work. My wife went out of town and I realized that maybe we could get the work done while she was gone. They said we would need an appointment but they would do their best -- we left the car and they finished it a day earlier than they said they would (before she returned!) Great communication along the way, job was beautifully done. Theres work that needs to be done on our other car and we will be taking it there.

Vogel’s fixed damage I had from a fender bender. When I picked up my car I thought it was a brand new car, they did an amazing job repairing it. Very trustworthy and worked with me to get the best price. Will return to them in the future.

Couldnt give them a lower rating for their poor paint workmanship. The paint job they did started to bubble and ended up blowing up after washing the car. The owner of Vogels claimed the car was impacted by touching the chipped section of paint with his hand! The primer coat is untouched and clearly shows that the paint layer was lifting off the primer. The road grime had caked into the lifted and cracking paint from a long road trip over the holidays and I even showed him high definition photos to prove it! The owner of Vogels dismissed the photos as they were PROOF of what actually happened to the paint! There is a lot more to be seen from a 4k image than from a man wearing corrective lenses. Take a look at the primer.. Completely untouched and you can clearly see where the paint bubbled and then blew out after a car wash..I hand wash my car twice a week and have never once have had a gouge on the rear bumper since they painted the car.. The paint damage started from where the two bumper sections meet where the paint job was clearly weak.. if the car had impact, there would have been gouges and a mark.. Only a bad paint job was to be seen there.So the owner instead of warranting the poor paint job offered to have it repainted for $600.00...no thanksI may look young, but ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT be taken advantage of.. I couldnt be more unhappy with them and the poor workmanship they provided. Own up and fix your mistake!Ill take my business elsewhere and really hope you do too if you do not want to deal with a headache down the road. Its really too bad because they are a family owned business and I thought they would be better than that.UPDATE: Proven poor paint job. The paint is spider cracking and flaking in different panels of the bumper that were painted by Vogels. Panels that werent impacted...Ill go ahead and stand correct to my findings. Save yourself the headache. .

Hopefully I never need to use this business service again (I mean who does--it means your car got hit!) but, if I need future collision work, Id go to Vogels. Brought my car in recently over a fender bender. They laid out the process clearly, held to schedule & process. Most importantly, I cannot tell the car was ever damaged.

My family and I have used Vogels for years for the few unfortunate incidents we have had with our cars. They are always fast, reliable, honest, and deliver excellent workmanship. Heres my latest story with them: About a year-and-a-half ago, Vogels replaced the rear bumper on my car after a parking lot incident. After taking delivery of my repaired car, I was less-than-thrilled with the paint work as the color was a bit off (this is my sports car/baby). I didnt say anything and kind of let it go until I eventually wrote them a somewhat harsh review after cleaning my car and being annoyed with the paint. Barry and Gail (the owners) reached out to me immediately and were adamant that I bring in the car for a repaint--which I did--and the color is now perfect. I was very impressed with their customer service, their pride in their work, and their concern for their customers satisfaction. They even touched up a mark on my door free of charge. This is a family-owned business that has served Rochester for 70+ years, and their businesss longevity is testament to their commitment to their clients and their quality of work. When I wrote my initial review, I didnt really expect a response (us millennials are used to reviewing products/services/etc online without a second thought), and the fact that they reached out so quickly and sorted out my concern perfectly ensures that they have my loyalty for any future incidents.

From estimate to finished repair, everything is wonderful.

I wanted to know how they approached welding and use of OEM parts. I was yelled at by the individual on the other end of the phone and told to keep looking and not to come to them... Okay??? I have been taking cars hear for years and they do great work! I am a German car guy and I would not let anyone else work on my cars.That said my family has been taking there American cars here since before I was born and they have always done great work.

I feel really comfortable coming here. I know my car is going to be taken care of it here. If theres a problem they take care of it right away. Whenever theyre not able to get parts they give me a car to use which is awesome.

I cant speak to the quality of work at Vogels because I was there only for an estimate. As that estimate was about 2.5 times the estimate I received around the corner at Artisans Collision Center, thats where I took my car, which I picked up this afternoon. It was ready ahead of schedule. I was charged exactly the amount on the estimate. The service was friendly and professional. The results were absolutely beautiful, and Im a very happy customer.

I went here last year on a friends recommendation. I was excited to use a local business, rather than a corporate collision place. Never again, Nu Look has my business from now on. There they will at least resolve your issue, though I doubt they cause as many as this shop of horrors.I had a tree branch dropped on my car by a tree service crew. These guys were down the road, the estimate was professional. My claims adjuster said they were good as well.I dropped it off, they told me it would be two weeks. I waited three, called, and got a Oh, no one called you? Response. Telling me they needed time for a part to come in, it would be another week and it would be done. No call after a week, I call and get the same response, literally. I wait one more and call again and they say it has been done for a week, why havent I picked it up(keep in mind no one called to tell me this). I go in to pay, they say You want to pay with a card?! They charge me a fee! They refuse my payment, its 2018, we all use cards! I go to get cash since I have no personal checks, when I bring that he scoffs at me like I handed him trash.At this point I receive my keys, the inside of my vehicle is filthy, overspray dust all over the seats. Someones lunch garbage in the back, and broken taillight bulbs as well. I ask them about it and they have a mechanic wipe the seat with a greasy rag... I accept this to just get out of there. On my way back to work I try and adjust my mirror(not damaged in the accident) and it doesnt work, and there is also a huge crack in my dash(also not there before). I called to ask about it and the owner yelled at me, saying I was blaming them. I bring it back and he says Oh yeah, we forgot to plug the mirror back in. No apology for the rudeness. They hold onto it to fix the crack, tell me the part is unavailable after two weeks and send me on my way... ugly cracked dash, overspray on the inside of my vehicle and on my rear widow(tape lines visible) window molding falling off and no resolution. I was done dealing with them, I can resolve the rest on my own if I have to. They just want your insurance money and you out the door, they do not stand behind their work or care about you. If I could afford it, Id sue this place.DO NOT USE THEM.To the owners:Any reply will be ignored, I do not EVER want to deal with you again.I tell everyone I know and meet about this, I point out your garage(if you can call it that) to anyone in my car and tell them about your business practices. I cant believe anyone had a good experience, it is truly unbelievable you are legally allowed to operate.

In June 2017, I take my vehicle to Vogels Collision for paint chips on my front bumper and hood. The front bumper was completely destroyed from rock chips due to the vehicle being driven from California to New York by the previous owners, the hood had a few chips here and there. Vogels quotes me a price of $596 before tax for repainting of the front bumper and to touch up the few spots on the hood. I thought this price was reasonable, so I left my car for the 2 days they needed to repaint my vehicle. I get a call 2 days later as expected saying my car is ready to be picked up. I arranged to pick it up the next morning.I arrived to pick up my vehicle and the entire hood had been repainted with nothing done to the bumper at all. (This is the exact opposite of what needed to be done). I asked the guy who was there why the bumper wasnt done and he could not answer, referring me back to the owners son Eric who had typed up the invoice and he would not be back until Monday. Due to it being the weekend, I needed my car so I paid the money to get my keys assuming Vogels would have a solution when I visited the owners son on Monday.I returned on Monday to ask why the exact opposite of what I requested was done. He stated there must have been a miscommunication in what I wanted. I asked what can we do to rectify the issue and Eric stated he cannot unpaint the bumper, the only thing they can do is to paint the bumper for another $600 (are you kidding me???? How do I know they wont paint my back bumper next time and allege a miscommunication again). I dont understand how their could have been a miscommunication as one look at the car you can tell the bumper had a lot more damage than the hood. They didnt offer to even charge me half price for painting the bumper. IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE!!!! Long story short stay away from this place. I would advise using Arienos Collision on W. Ridge Rd (just did amazing work on my sisters car) or Nu Look. They seem to be more competent.

Im rating it 3 stars because they did get things right but only after their third visit. I was excited to get my car in for a front end repair (after shops one week waiting period). The reps seemed knowledgable and the shop seemed busy so I had confidence this place would make my car look like it did before the accident. After 7 days of working on it I was handed a car that looked like it was in some sort of low speed collision (only now with new body parts), things sticking out, loose, two sides were asymmetrical. After 4 more days of redoing their work the car looked good but I still needed to go back once more due to clear coat scratches on the new part (only a quick 10 minute paint buff). I had accidents worse than this one that were fixed faster and after you couldnt find anything wrong... looked like factory finish... and only with one try and a good feeling at the end.

I got in an accident last year and my insurance suggested some auto body shops for me but I still wasnt sure where I should go. I was recommened to Vogels from a friend and I am SO glad! My car looks as good as new!!!....They communicated with my insurance for me so I didnt have to and took care of everything. I have a Lexus and was worried it wouldnt be done properly but it was PERFECT. Ill definitely be recommending them to all my friends now too!

My typical auto shop lost their body guy, and I needed a new place to go, so I chose these guys after reading some internet reviews.My 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium Edition was left on the street on Park Ave one saturday night, and was sideswiped by someone I can only fathom is the worst kind of feces imaginable, not leaving a note and racking upwards of $9000 of damage.I was initially apprehensive about the quality of repairs of a car this new after having Austin Spencer do a horrendous job on my 2001 Avalons trunk that was never the same again, and my fathers F-150 door that also felt extremely cheap and never worked right again.After 2 and a half weeks, I got the call to pick it up, and man did they do a number on it. It looked beautiful, and they used quality factory parts that were indistinguishable in feel and look to the originals. They even cleaned my car inside and out, gave me a full tank of gas, and gave me the remainder of the touchup paint for my car. I will never take my car anywhere else, these guys are the best in the business!

Repair date was delayed but Vogals compensated the time lose by reimbursement. Thanks for the hard work!
