The tech arrived as promised and was pleasant and informative. He repaired my washing machine, checked to make sure that it was working and cleaned up the area after he was finished . He gave some advise about balancing loads in the machine which was helpful. All in all very pleased!
Long wait on hold. Operator couldnt help me find my part. Simply sent a Google photo and wanted mec6to buy a token to purchase it with no idea of the final price or shipping charge.
The refrigerator wasnt fixed during the 1st repair appointment because more parts had to be ordered (although the technician, Yuriy, never took the entire ice/water dispenser out to look inside--he guessed at which parts could be broken). Parts came and technician, Bill, came to the 2nd appointment. Bill took the unit out and found that someone had taken it out before (most likely previous owners attempt at repair) but put it back in wrong, which caused the unit not to work. He corrected it, put it back in and it worked!!! Never had to use any of the parts, which we were credited for. Bill was there for approximately 30 minutes when he showed us that ice and water were dispensing properly! Great service, Bill!!! We were absolutely thrilled!! If youre not satisfied with the first repair attempt, ask for a different technician (well always ask for Bill)!! As a side note, labor is not cheap--this repair cost a little over $300 (we were not charged twice for two appointments).
Technician sent was unable to perform work. Had to schedule another technician. The next one didnt know he was supposed to do the washer and dryer. When he did the washer he didnt clean the filter. He said it is done by the user. We cant do it because we were stupid and bought a washer with an inaccessible filter. The front of the washer has to be removed to access the filter. The second one did finally do that, also. The second technician was courteous and did a good job once he understood our need. However, Sears did a terrible job of scheduling our maintenance. They made no attempt to understand our need and they did not adequately inform their technicians of what we requested. This poor rating is for the scheduling, not the service.
Nightmare experience. Took 3 weeks to fix my fridge. Every call to their number is a 20min wait. Spent 3 hrs of phone time trying to get this job done. First set of parts sent completely destroyed. Looked like they had fired them out of a canon to get them here. Actual service tech was nice, knowledgeable, and reliable. Unfortunately, every other aspect of the repair service was not only deficient but frustrating. Wait time, locating my record, no call backs as promised, system crashes etc. We used Sear exclusively for our repairs - never will do so again. Most frustrating experience ever!!!
Grossly over estimated and over charged. In my house to replace computer board for my fridge. 22 minutes in total. Unplugged board then plugged in new one. $99 diagnostics charge (fair enough) the $277 for the labor. $ 277 for 15 minutes work. Tech spent more time trying to sell me the warranty plan. That comes out to $1067 per hour for the work. Doubt the tech got paid a 5% of that amount.
Sent correct part the 1st time without hassle. Thanks
Service person was very professional, but un-trained / unable to service Samsung
I can only talk about my lawn tractor service. April of 2014 I bought a new lawn tractor. I have had several issues with it. In the spring of last year the service was not good. Not they work they did but the time wait to have it repaired, 3-4 weeks.I have had 4 other calls since then. I only had to wait for parts to arrive or a day or two. The guys where excellent. Knowledgeable and efficient. The lawn tractor repair is contracted out but those guys do a good job.Update - 2017 onward. I will never buy anything again from Sears. That company has hosed me over repeatedly and they dont care. They will be out of business shorty anyway.
Service man was very prompt. Looked up small parts needed but they didnt make them anymore for my 22 year old Kenmore. Still runs great though.
Technician Staff were great, but the Customer Service Center has been a terrible experience. I have been rescheduled 4 times (couldnt fit it in on scheduled day, sickness, parts not delivered on time not to mention the wrong parts delivered, 2.5hr service time not fitting with scheduled time of 4:30pm). I called Customer Service questioning the service time only to have 3 people Guarantee tech coming only to receive a call 20 min, after my last call to confirm, that it would have to be reschedule. It took 3 weeks to get my fridge/freezer fixed. I called the Escalation Team and they didnt seem sympathic or phased by it at all. No quality control.
Technician was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Through no fault of his own he was overbooked. Sears needs to hire more technicians like him to meet their goals.
The repair guy did a good job repairing my grill. I do wish it hadnt needed to be repaired considering it was only a week old...came with a defective ignitor....but he was very helpful and gave me suggestions on how to maintain my grill to prolong its life.
Serviceman was very capable. Fixed the problem in 10 minutes... (replaced the light switch) Part cost $10 and labor cost 188...plus tax.... great technical effort way too expensive labor charges.
I was told, in spite of our maintenance agreement, that since the refrig was on a heavy duty extension cord, it would not be fixed. Mind you, the refrig has been on that very cord for years, and nothing was ever said before this particular appointment. What is the point of paying for a maintenance agreement, if there is nothing done, due to a technicality that was never mentioned before, though years of being checked every year. Am I satisfied with this. No, I am not. Would you be under the same circumstances?
My Frigidaire oven was lighting intermittently. I called Sears, the repair person came on the date and time promised, identified the problem (ignitor had to be replaced), and solved it fairly quickly and efficiently. He was very pleasant and cooperative. My only complaint was that I thought the price for the replacement was overpriced; the visit took about 20 minutes and cost $260, after a 20% discount coupon that I had found on the Sears website.
Very helpful young man, Eric. Most efficient.
The gentlemen was very professional and very knowledgable. All thought I thought I bought the best dishwasher I absolutely HATE it. I had this dishwasher for about 6 months and wish I could exchange it. It is the Sears Elite and does not perform, unless I just about wash them by hand and then put them in the dishwasher. If you can help in any way, please call me....Thank you in advance.Anna Senko
I am outraged at what happened to me during a service call for a refrigerator repair that concluded on 3/22/17.The overall experience was a fiasco. But let me quickly get to the part that really set me off. I was in total shock when I analyzed the final bill only to learn that the parts that were used were marked up an additional 60% more than the same parts that I (or the repair man) could have ordered from Sears Parts-Direct. My bill stated that the parts total, with tax and I assume any shipping fees, came to $749.36. This seemed outrageously high to me so I decided to see what it would have cost if I, or the serviceman himself, had ordered the parts from Sears Parts-Direct. The total with tax & shipping for these same 3 parts would have come to $468.62. Thats $280.74 less than the parts on my repair bill. So I called the Customer Solutions hotline to complain. I was first told that they were aware that there is a different pricing structure for the parts they provide vs. the Parts Direct group. Then the Customer Solutions rep (Dan) tried to tell me that their price was higher because it included labor for determining the problem with the appliance. I told him I wasnt buying that BS because the bill also charged me $352.08 labor for the diagnosis and repair for the appliance. After discussing it with someone he said was a manager (he said her name was Rhonda - refused to give her last name), he offered me a 10% discount on the parts. When I refused he raised it to 20%. I said I wanted a full refund of the $280.74 overcharge. He said he was not able to do that and said goodbye.First of all, it is absolutely deceiving to markup parts and additional 60% on top of an already marked up price and claim that Its just the way we do it.Second, Sears own pricing policy states that they will match a competitors retail price. in this case they refused to even match their own price available from a different department. Sorry Sears but in my opinion, you score a zero in customer satisfaction.
NOT cheap, but efficient, knowledgeable, and effective. I paid 1/2 the cost of a new refrigerator for a fan motor repair.
I dont believe that all of our issues were thoroughly addressed with our washer. At a minimum I was not satisfied with the explanations given for the mold in the detergent compartment and the water underneath the washer.
$375 for a small plastic part and bolt that took about 1/2 hour to diagnose repair...Cmon.
Prompt, knowledgeable and provided great service.
That location is closed I believe.
Scheduled first appointment for 8-12am; technician showed at 2:15. Got about 8 phone calls or emails in next 24 hours to reschedule.Second appointment was for 12-4pm; technician showed at 3:30.Be prepared to wait!!
Very friendly and professional technicianFixed my dryer with a new belt.Accepted my decision not to purchase home warranty services without trying to oversell.
The repair man was courteous and repaired my dryer by replacing the broken belt. I was very satisified.
Sears could not repair my furnace without parts and the parts would not be delivered until sometime in MARCH!!! Then, after the parts arrive, I must make the appointment, which would add more days to the delay. So, how am I to heat my home for 24 to 30 days???? I dropped Sears.
Fast, Efficient and Courteous
Horrible: Fridge/freezer delivered 06/05/15, discovered it didnt work.Repair service due on 06/09/15, repair service claimed nobody home and no cars on the driveway, repair service was watched from the window not even getting out of their truck. Calls to Sears resulted in the repair service reluctantly returning only to claim weeks for a new compressor. Sears agreed to replace the fridge/freezer and agreed a delivery date of 06/13.At 7am on delivery day we received a call from the delivery driver advising us that the replacement fridge/freezer was scratched and dented and would that be acceptable. No, no and no again. After more chasing Sears down, they finally agreed to replace on 06/20, time will tell if it arrives and if it works. They offered a gift card to make up for the trouble, we are still waiting for that to arrive as well. This will be my last major appliance purchase from Sears, never again.
Great service PERIOD!!
Clean and painless
