I read some of the bad reviews here and was surprised - my experience from this Lowes Subcontractor was great. My Techs name was Mike and he did a great job installing a Dishwasher and shoe-horning it into my tight spot. He took extra care preparing the spot so the Dishwasher would slide in even more and not stick out into the kitchen aisleway. Mike was great, professional, safe, and pleasurable to work with - I wish all Techs were like him (and I never heard one swear word from him!!). I have a nice new Maytag Dishwasher now, and my apologies to the customers on the schedule after me - hopefully they got their appliances put in the same day, just later. So in my book, Sammys Appliance is a winner. Good comm and successful installation=satisfied customer, so Ill be calling them on my next job - nicely done, guys!!!!
I received a text this morning, Thursday, 3/11/21 at 9:17am letting me know that your technician would be at my home between 2p-4p.Great or so I thought.At 3:18pm, I received a call while I was on my work phone with a client, so I couldn’t answer. I hung up and called back the number of the missed call at 3:19pm. I reached voicemail which stated call Sammy’s appliance to rescheduled my appointment. I repeatedly called hoping to get the technician as he was driving away. But, he did not answer or pick up.I got through to your office at 3:21p hoping they could reach technician to have him turn around. I was told that Verizon phones were down and they couldn’t reach the technician. This is even more reason why your technician so have waited for me and not leave so quickly.I am very dissatisfied with your customer service.
After many years of service, the light bulb on my Maytag refrigerator suddenly stopped working yesterday. I went to the appliance section at Lowes in Greece where I expected to find a rack containing appliance bulbs. I was redirected to aisle 9, the lighting department. I sought help from their lighting expert, showed her the old bulb that needed replacing, and told her it was for a refrigerator. She directed me to miniature bulbs with tiny sockets. I said That is totally the wrong size. She then suggested that I try a regular 100 watt bulb. I questioned her why I would need a bulb that bright in such a tiny area. She then recommended a 60 watt bulb, which I purchased. She said if it flickered, or wont turn on at all, simply save the receipt and exchange it for a 40 watt. It wouldnt turn on at all. I returned and exchanged it for a 40 watt, which wouldnt turn on either. On contacted Maytag and being placed on hold for 52 minutes, their representative said that I needed a 40 watt APPLIANCE bulb, which Lowes did not seem to sell. Maytag would mail one to me for $5.85 plus about $8 postage. Lowes bulbs were only sold in packs of 4 for over $12. I contacted Sammys. Very friendly, personable and knowledgeable over the phone. Their price for one bulb in stock was $2.50. I purchased it and it works fine. My time to replace the bulb, wait on hold on both the phone and the chat now line, make a productive trip to Sammys, and 3 wasted trips to Lowes was seven hours and driving to the various locations came to 80 miles. Lesson to all, next time skip Lowes. Head straight to Sammys.
Dont show up for a scheduled appointment. Dont call to say they are not going to show up when they say they will. When you call to find out what is the issue, you dont get accurate information.
Had a dishwasher installed by sammys from lowes. After they left, I noticed they scratched my floors and chipped my granite. Unfortunately, I complained to lowes and they said nothing could be done and it was preexisting per the sammys. Im disappointed in the service and know my floors and granted were fine before the install.
My stove broke and I called Vitalie on Tuesday and he came out the same day. On Wednesday he came back out and installed the part. He was kind and courteous and efficient!
STAY AWAY!!!! Awful, unprofessional, lazy, dangerous, rude, damage property and deny it. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!
The guy that came to look at our freezer was very rude - did not look my husband in the eye, would not answer his questions, just took our freezer apart (did not put it back together) and left. My husband assumed the receipt he left would answer the questions he could not get answered, but it was all random scribbles. I had to call to find out what the parts cost, what the labor cost, etc. We ended up finding the parts on Amazon quickly and easily, and installing them ourselves because they said they had to special order them. We ended up paying maybe 50 bucks for a job they were going to charge us 300 for...and maybe 2-3 weeks later they finally called saying the parts were in. I cant have imagine going that long without the use of my fridge! Sincerely surprised they are still in business. The whole process seemed very scammy and unprofessional.
DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. They dont follow code when installing appliances and their practices are extremely unsafe! They ripped the partly melted power cord out of my old dishwasher and used that when installing the new one. They threw the junction box that came with the appliance in my wall cavity instead of attaching it to the wall. Then they thought it was ok/safe to tape the water line and the electrical lines together. When I called them out on their unsafe installation, they argued with me and told me, this is how we install it. I will NEVER let anyone from Sammys in my house again!
I had bought a gas stove from lowes. Sammys does the installs. The 2 guys that came were very nice. I voiced my concern about the lady whose house filled up with gas and they checked all connections. Which I greatly appreciated

Terrible repair man. Will not look you in the eye, is extremely unfriendly and unworkable. I will never have him in my house again.
Today I had a gas range, purchased at Lowes ( they contract with this company) installed at my home. This was around 9:00 am before I headed to work. When I returned to my home I was overtakenwith an overwhelming gas smell. I had to leave my home and contacted the fire department and Rochester Gas & Electric. Needless to say they found the leak at the base of the install. Today my family and I could have been seriously injured or lost our lives!!! I contacted the Lowe’s Greece store and corporate to report this serious issue. I’m still shaking thinking about the what if’s... I’m posting this to alert customers to the sloppy work that could have turned deadly in my home.
If I could give them no stars I would. I purchased a dishwasher from Lowes the day after Thanksgiving, 11/23. It wasnt installed by Sammys until December 11. They installed a dented dishwasher which wont run. I have been working with them and Lowes for a week and a half. At first Sammys couldnt fit me even though it was their fault for installing a dented dishwasher. I called Lowes and told them what Sammys said. Lowes called me back and said Sammys was going to try and fit me in on Friday 12/21. The manager at Lowes told me that Sammys would know by Thursday if it was possible and call me Thursday evening and let me know. I didnt hear anything, so I went to work on Friday. I am a teacher and cannot take many days off. Sammys called me a couple of hours after I got to work and told me they were coming between 11 and 2. Needless to say, I am not home to get it. Now I will have to go through the holidays hand washing all of my dishes. Sammys doesnt seem to understand that people actually have jobs and cannot take off at a moments notice. I will never shop at Sammys and, if Lowes continues to use Sammys for installation, I will not buy any appliances from Lowes.
Do not leave them in your house alone. You must supervise at all time. Poor quality service and they stand by nothing. They scratched our new counters and claimed they didnt do it.. they are a subcontractor for the big box store Lowes.. again rude and a big warning stay away

Warning! These people came into my house to install my dishwasher when I wasnt home. They were supposed to call prior to arrival but because cleaning people were there, they just went in. They scratched my brand new counters and refuse to accept responsibility. Stay away from this company.
