Best salon ever

They let someone training with dip powder work on me for over an hour until I had to say something while my friend had been done and waiting the entire time. The dip was so thick and like bubbles on my fingers. They still charged me full price after being there for over 2 hours and with terrible nails. I do not recommend this place.

Excellent service. Tami is meticulous when doing my nails. Now that everything is open they are quite busy so that patience and understanding of small business issues have to be taken into account. I recommend this nail salon to everyone And they have all been happy with the service and pricing.

I came as a walk in when they were super busy and they made time for me! I asked for a refill and a change the nail shape and they did! Will def be going back to them, it’s hard to find a place that accepts walk ins around rochester they were very nice :)

I visited K&T nails for a pedicure on Tuesday August 31st. A gentleman was my technician. I did not have a need for the metal heel file procedure but at one point while my feet were in the water bath he took his metal heel file out of his basket and placed the dirty file in the water and proceeded to wash it off, dipping and scrubbing it off in MY water! This file was covered with another customers skin which I could see floating in the water! I pulled my feet out of the water immediately. The other tech near my chair, who happened to be the owner, asked me what was wrong. I explained and she laughed adding insult to injury. I left the salon absolutely sick and disgusted. K & T Nails does not take customer safety and health precautions seriously. I will never return and will spread my story to current and potential customers so they will never experience anything as discussing as this.

This is what my feet look like after a $33 pedicure from this place. Not only did they do a crummy job with my bottom feet, they couldn’t even get the polish on right and had to redo the polish a couple of times.

They don’t know how to greet and talk to the customers.They take shortcuts. I am not happy with the people working there they are so rude.Never going back again. I found a better place for my nails now. Thank god I quit this place.

We are treated like family every time we come in! Every nail technician is very detailed and professional! MaryAnn does an incredible job. The best hand massage ever!

My pedicure was awful. My feet were botched and I have all kinds of rough skin all over my feet now. I asked the guy not to use the pumas on my feet and he said OK but did it anyway. I said a basic pedicure and he did a deluxe. The paint is also botched. I have to redo the paint when I get home. Such a waste of money. Dont go there!

This place was absolute horrible . The quality was horrible… I came back fix my nails after the lady did a horrible job and those cheapos tried to charge me …. Poppy service DONT GO THERE IM TELLING YOU .

When we first arrived they rushed us ( my boyfriend and I) to the back where the pedicures were and rushed me to pick a color. They then set up the chairs and waters and had us sit for 20-25 mins without letting us know when to expect to be seen next. By then the water was like warm at best and extremely uncomfortable. When they finally did get to us they did my boyfriends feet first, which is fine but makes no sense as I was getting my nails painted and he wasnt. Which meant we would have to wait that much longer for mine to dry. By the time they did get to me, the gentleman was very aggressive with the callus sponge and completely scrapped and cut the side of the outside of my foot and made it bleed! Never mind didn’t even get the callous off the pads of the feet that needed it, and didn’t apply a second coat of paint.

This place is horrible. Kevin did my nails and it was NOTHING! Like what I wanted. I am on vacation in Detroit. And this has put a damper on my day. He rushed on my nails. And to top it all off. He talked about me and my nails while laughing to his co worker or son in their language. My fiance was there to get a manicure. Keving said to me wake him up, he is ready. Much attitude. I tried but he was really tired he is a manager over an amazon warehouse. I told Kevin I will wake him up when Im able to get up from the chair. Kevin said no, now. We want to go home. I would give them no stars if I could. To top that off even worst. We arrived an hour before they closed and they still rushed on my nails. He did not know what he was doing. The nails were overpriced. My fiance had to pay $50 for french nails. Back home in Florida french nails are no more than $40 sometimes even $30. Just depends if you want designs or not. These people are the rudest and unprofessional place by far. I will wait till I go bacm home to Florida before getting my nails done and I will change my nails also to what I acctually wanted when I get back to Florida. Every nail salon where I live. Have at least 1 person there that can do designs and other cool things with the nails. This place had 4 people and all of them do basic nails my fiance was upset and threw the money on the counter and walked away. I walked up to the counter and got the change. He will not be getting a tip from us. My nails should have been free due to the horrible nail job and disgusting customer service. They have really placed a bad taste in my mouth about Detroit. Do not go here unless you dont mind rushed overpriced basic nails that come with rude service. My fiance stated that he didnt have high hopes for this state when he first landed anyway. However, I will not allow them to ruin my vacation. I will still enjoy whatever else Detroit has to offer.

Went in for manicure and no polish, received a 5 minute service. She barely soaked my cuticles. Filed my nails, not cleaning them after, which left excess nail residue. No oil for cuticles. Very poor service, I will not return. I am in the service industry and I would not take advantage of a client and not give them full service because they opted out of one thing. $20 wasted.

My wife asked the lady to remove the nail polish spill around the nails from my daughters (6year old) hands, job done by them... the lady said I didnt do that one it was the other person and asked them to leave as she was trying to leave and close more than 1 hour early... WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE! RUDE... RUN FROM THIS PLACE...

Been a part of this place for quite some time now in not being biased but definitely worth the environment for newcomers! Ultimately I would recommend booking an appointment way in advance so that way youre not left empty-handed. Great establishment!

I did really like my nails. She did a really nice job. :) I do wish she would have cut my cuticles a bit more but she did a really good job regardless.She understood exactly what I wanted. I was very happy with the outcome.I felt like the price was pretty comparable to what I had paid in the past at other places. I know that it’s cheaper in some places but in my experience those areas don’t tend to be very safe or they use cheaper materials and unexperienced professionals. It seems like everything is a trade-off.

Poor customer service here. Rushed. No time to ask questions. Got gel which cost $30 but she charged me $33 without explaining. She told me it usually cost $33 when you remove gel and get gel nails done after. She rushed me to sign the receipt and didnt feel like I could ask more.

This salon is very clean and the people are so friendly. I’ve had my acrylic nails done there several and a pedicure. Both experiences were very good and professional. The pedicure was so relaxing. Tammy does a really great job with my nails. I would highly recommend this place. Great customer service.

I love this clean little salon. The staff is friendly and very professional. I love their pedicure area with the two large aquariums. it is dimly lit and very serene. Comfy chairs with full back massage. My favorite nail salon.

Would not recommend unless you are in a huge hurry. When I get a manicure I like it to be a nice relaxing thing. I paid full price for both my 9 year old daughter and I... For just a quick file, cuticle oil, 10 second soak, and then paint. When I asked if that was it... Wasnt he going to even do lotion or quick hand massage or anything? He said well I did cuticle oil, what you want more?? But then proceeded to just paint them and say I was done. (I had already given a 25% tip because I paid before my nails were painted not realizing it was over.) My daughter accidently chipped her thumb nail and was too scared to even tell the person.. When she did finally say something the lady pretty much yelled at her. Would def not recommend! Not worth the price! Have paid less to have way better service.

New to the area, tried finding a place opened on a Sunday was a chore.Luckily, this place opened before noon and I was able to go. Took a chance and was not disappointed. Came in for a fill/manicure/pedicure with a specific color in mind. Not only were they able to find that specific color (out of what seemed like two hundred color options) but they were able to get me in right away.My technician was Snow and she was fabulous. She did both my pedicure and manicure/fill. My nails looks great even a week later. No chipping, bubbling or anything (which is saying something because I am tough on my hands/nails.) Plus theyre thin, I dont know how she did it but the nails are thin and look realistic. Best part: they havent broke. Somehow Snow was able to get them just thin enough that they wouldnt break and still look great.I set up an appointment for next week and will be going back to them.The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and the work is wonderful.Dont take my word for it though, go get your nails done and see. :)

Ive been going to K & T Nails for many years. Tammy does top quality work EVERY time. Shes fast and consistent. As a regular customer, I feel like family. I now choose the new dip service...my nails are fresh each time and they last 3 weeks. Whats more, not only my friends but strangers notice and compliment my nails all the time. Oh, and...Tammys Deluxe Pedi is amazing! Yes, 5-stars.

Rude rush you out

I always make an appointment but they do walk-ins also. Katie does my nails and pedicure, she does a very good job. Love the pedicure room, very relaxing. Kevin and Tammy have a great place. Clean and very attentive of whats going on around them. Kudos !!!

I used to live in Auburn Hills and after trying several different places, I found Tammy at K&T nails and have never looked back.I now live in Farmington Hills and for the last year have continued to make the 1 hour drive to visit Tammy here.The store is clean, and does NOT smell like nail polish and burnt plastic like many nail salons do. It’s overall a very clean and peaceful environment with friendly staff.The pedicure massage chairs are very spacious, and in a separate room to the hand / nail work so that you can really sit back and relax.I would highly recommend this salon to anyone.

I went recently just for a regular nail polish. It was clean, but service wasn’t good. I like square and they were very crooked. The nail polish bubbled which says too much. She was rushing as if they had a lot of people but no one was waiting. I’m quite disappointed. #firstimpressionsareeverything😔

There’s a reason I’ve come to this salon for over 15 years - Tammy and her team know how to take care of their clients. They get to know you by name, they do excellent work, always make it right, and have the cleanest salon. It’s been around forever because it’s trult the best. Recommend them to everyone.

Wanted to find a new salon for my shellac nails, it was fairly late and didnt know what time they closed.. both Katie and Tammy were very welcoming 15 minutes before closing!! She did not rush and my nails look awesome! Will definitely be back.

I have been going KT for three years now. Kim is fantastic. 90% of the time I am a walk-in and I am seen right away. I have never had to wait more than 15 mins. The quality of their products is very high and lasts 3 weeks easy but I go in every two because of outgrowth. .

Ladies were nice but I got shellac nails and they are awful. They are uneven and thick. They look horrendous. Also they chipped in less than a week unlike where I normally go they stay for 3 weeks. Extremely disappointed in the quality. I will never go back. After paying $30 + an extra $5 bc I did more than one color(wasn’t told about till after) + tip I’m very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone. Friends who were there with me had the same experience. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Two stars for atmosphere - the place was nice to look at. However, my techs station was dirty and she clearly did not clean her tools. I paid $17 (not including tip) for a manicure I could have done at home. She made multiple cuticles bleed and rushed through. The massage was non existent. The paint job was mediocre at best. My tech did not listen to me when I explained that she needed to be gentle with my cuticles... as they were bleeding. I didn’t remember the technicians name, but she had a Vegas souvenir name plate somewhere on her station.

I did not have a great experience here. I went in to get powder dip nails. When I walked out of the nail salon I realized she left color all over my fingers. I went back in and asked her to fix them. She would barely make them any better and look at me and say “all better?” Overall I am disappointed with my experience and feel like I wasted $55+tip. The staff could have been much friendlier.

I have been going to Tammy for at least 13 years. She is wonderful. I have never had a problem with my nails. Everyone at K&T is friendly and helpful.

Its a clean salon, but popular so make an appointment or you will wait if you walk-in. The pricing is average compared to other salons in the area for the same service. The only reason I gave it (4) stars is that I have been there many times and they have taken other people while waiting on me to repair a nail, fix someones toe nail smudge etc., while doing my nails. All salons do it and if you go regularly you get use to it.

I went several times to K & T, and while not overwhelmed, was satisfied. But Easter weekend I went with my daughter-in-law for a Mani-Pedi. Although we had appointments and it was not crowded, our appointments became separated. When the manicurist could not talk my daughter-in-law into the more expensive gel manicure, the manicurist became rude and sloppy. It was clear that she just wanted to move onto someone else. She needed to be reminded that the manicure was incomplete with just one coat of nail polish and no top coat. Worse yet is that there was polish all over her cuticles on EVERY finger!In my mind it was all about pushing people through and making money. Theyve lost my business with their rudeness and non-caring attitude. Im sure knowing my daughter-in-law was from out of state and therefore didnt offer repeat business was a factor. Unfortunately I WAS a weekly business until then!Within minutes of my post, I received a call from K & T to discuss my disappointing visit. I am impressed with their quick response and sincere desire to do better. While I wont change my rating to a 5-star, I will change it to reflect the sincerity and immediate response I received.

Great place and able to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon. So many gel polish options I simply couldnt choose! I highly recommend!

I only wanted a simple manicure. It was a girls day out with my daughter, who was getting one with me. They began pressuring me into getting shellac, when I said I could only budget just a manicure the tech rudely asked me to pay up front in front of other customers. Needless to say I will not be going back!!!!

I tried several places for my sons hair (hes 2) and he was by far the best and fastest. He is well worth it!

I was disappointed with my visit. My own tech was on vacation and I only needed a soak-off and regular mani with no polish. The tech used the blade of the cuticle tool to take off the shellac then used the air tool to take off residual basecoat. Even when I asked about how hard that would be on my nails, she continued. The hand massage was about forty-five seconds total and she told me that I should use lotion to make my nails smooth. She stated the cost, ran my credit card for $5.00 less than she said, kept $5.00 cash (unless I wanted her to run my card again), and seemed to assume a 20% tip. The one star is for the aesthetic of the salon and the fact that the volume of the tv was pleasantly low. I

Went there with my friend about a week ago. The day of the pedi and for the following two days after, all of my toenails were very sore to the touch (I got a regular pedi not gel). Now 6 days later, two of my toes are STILL in severe pain and chunks of the paint are gone. They made my friend’s toe BLEED, which was so deep that it continued to bleed for an hour after the pedicure. They also rushed through everything sloppily without care for detail.

Fabulous, cleaning, consistent manicures and pedicures. Everyone’s friendly. Highly recommend.

This has been my nail salon for years! I have always been taken care of & can walk in most days without an appointment. The staff is friendly, the salon is clean & constantly updated with new equipment and as long as people dont talk on their cell phones during my pedicure, its the most peaceful 45 minutes of a day!

Terrible customer service!! My nails started chipping after 2 days. The tech was on her phone texting most of the time. She did my nails in 15 minutes. When I went back in to have them touch up my nails after TWO DAYS, they were angry with me, as if I did something wrong... Dont waste your money here.

Way over priced and they overcharge you for terrible quality. They don’t know how to shape nails so I hope you only want square, however, they more than likely will be uneven. Always get polish on my cuticles or the polish bubbles after a couple hours. They’ve also hurt me and made me bleed a couple times. They are too rough. Awful customer service and very rude.

Absolutely one of the worst nail salon experiences in a very long time. The owner is much more interested in the soccer game on TV than on providing quality acrylic fills. He did not check for lifting even after I told him I was aware of some. I had to return 4 days later for repair of one lost nail and lost another 1 week after that. My nails were bumpy, lumpy and ridged! I will go back to my usual salon, Jolie Nails. Both Mai and Nina are excellent!!

Just went there recently with a friend for the first time to get a pedi and shellac mani. I had a guy technician and he was extremely sloppy and rushed the whole experience. He used the blade on my feet and cut my toe making it bleed and painful to walk on for two days. The massage for the hands and legs were about 20 seconds. The manicure was done quickly and sloppily. In addition, my friend has also been experiencing pain from her pedicure. Extremely disappointing experience and will not be goin there again.

First time visit. The lady didnt introduce herself... pointed at a table far away and mumbled to go sit down... then didnt speak two words to me during the service. She was extremely rough and when i told her she was hurting me, she barely acknowledged my concern. I left without polish because the shape was not what i asked for and i needed to go home and fix them myself. And they charged me more than what their brochure said. NEVER. GOING. BACK. In fact, i told her that as i walked out.

They are reasonably priced and really fast. I always like my manicures, ask for Kevin.

First time here. I was immediately asked if I wanted shellac which I said no, I’d like a regular mani/pedi. I’m about to have a baby and do not want shellac right now because I don’t have time to upkeep it which I explained. My pedicure looks awful, nails cut too short, dark nail polish uneven and on my skin as well as cuticle skin not trimmed very good. It also hurt when she trimmed my toe nails possibly because of how short they were cut. The manicure was rushed and the cuticles not trimmed very well and I had to ask to have a nail fixed because it had a dark hair underneath the light pink nail polish. I believe the tech’s name was Kim as the decoration on her station said. If a person doesn’t want shellac, it would be nice if you left it at that. She asked several times and felt the need to explain it will last 2-3 weeks and be better for my nails. I’m aware of what the service entails and I don’t appreciate being given crappy service just because I don’t want shellac this time.

Steve gave me a manicure for my wedding that lasted 3 weeks! It was a gel french manicure. Because the polish on the pink part of my nail was clear, you cant notice the growth area, so they still look great even though theyve grown a few millimeters. I plan to get the same thing again - you cant beat it!

Me,my mom,and my friend wanted to try this place out we went there last Thursday, there where no prices on the wall at all so I thought it wouldnt been that pricey they pressured me into getting a gel fullset,and gel pedicure i said ok,I want a metallic chrome look on one of my nails on each hand and for the big toes,I gotten the pic from there website so when they finished it looked nothing like the picture i was upset, I showed her the pic before getting serviced she agree she knows how but yet she didnt and I still had to pay them. Now Im convinced there taking pictures off of Google and portraying them as there own. My mom and friends nails where chipping off within 4hrs later we went back up there for them to redo them they did with no chage but the Next day they where chipping again. My mom wanted mani and pedic with shellac but they only did her hands with shellac but not her toes but still charged her for shellac on her feet which was Cleary regular pedi polish and friend got just shellac mani which she wanted the metallic chrome look also one finger on each hand yet still wasnt the right one,she showed them the pic also before getting serviced. I paid $170 for me and my moms,mines $95 and hers $75 RIDICULOUS. I would never ever go back to this place or recommend it.

I was basically shunned for wanting regular polish and not gel. After repeatedly tell me to get that she then charges me $25 for a regular polish acrylic fill. I PAY 16 DOLLARS AT HOME. Not only did she charge me 10 dollars more, she did my nails really fast and carelessly. I go home and my real nail is separating from the acrylic and 3 days later half of my thumb nail falls off. Im furious, hoping they fix it for free but am not confident they will.

Worst place ive ever been. Got an acrylic full set friday 3/17 & by 3/19 all of my nails have broke. Also my male nail tech had a horrible attitude, argued with me the whole time and said rude remarks. Horrible place, never going back!

HORRIBLE.....I will NOT go back.........I had an acrylic fill on a Thursday and one my nails broke the very next day, it was too thin. I called them to let them know I could not get back in until Monday with the assumption that it would be free. I then had another one pop off on Saturday. When I went in on Monday to have them fixed I was charged for the repair and told I needed a new full set. The woman that did my repair had food all over her shirt and was very rude.
