I have been going here for many years. The staff is friendly. If you prefer a certain barber like I do, you may have to wait. This is one of the few places that still offer a hot neck shave.

The address is 800 N Davis Av. $16 is actually a great price. Hair Cuttery is $18. Wm Byrd is just as good. I like the street view too. I got a quick, simple haircut with simple, friendly service.

Ive been to 2 barbershops in the area. Refuge for men is overpriced for what you get. The first place I ever went to was the William Byrd Barber Shop. I think they raised their prices to $17 for a haircut. For the city prices theyre amazing. I dont go anywhere else.

This place looks like a dank, partially gutted out of business Chinese restaurant on the inside. But they are very good at cutting a modern haircut. I continue to go.
