I used Howardaire because that’s who my home warranty pointed me to when my HVAC went out on the house I had just bought a few months before. (The tech assured me the SEER rating was average, but I honestly can’t remember if it was 14 or 16 or what) The install went fine, however I’ve had problems with it ever since. First, I noticed a ton of condensation in my crawl space under my unit. Their solution was to wrap the whole thing in insulation. This is my third house which makes me no expert but I have never in my life heard of or seen a crawl space unit wrapped in insulation. I also asked the tech if it could be backed up because the condensation drain outlet is to high (again, I’m no expert, but during the months the AC is on, you can hear an extremely constant thumping noise under my house from the suction being released from the full condensation line releasing one drop of water at a time). Then in January (after my the year of my home warranty), I was totally panicking because my house was 60 degrees with the Auxilliary heat on and when I put a thermometer on the floor vents (after the unit was on for a couple minutes obviously), it was pushing out 45 degree air. Not only did it go to voicemail when I called them (they’d installed the brand new system less than a year before and any service call after that they told me my home warranty company had since dropped them so they gave me a hard time for having to come out), but they also never called me back to try to address my 45 degree “heat” situation. Thank GOD Woodfin was a hell of a lot more helpful when they came out to troubleshoot (and actually charged me **$0** for diagnostics). Do what you want, but an HVAC system is a super big investment IMO, and not just because of the upfront cost—my friends with 3,000+ sqft houses are totally shocked when I tell them my electric bill for my 1,750 sqft from Dec to March is generally $200+ since Howardaire installed this system (its been a couple years—posting now bc I’ve meant to for a long time but my neighbor told me what they pay for their 3,000 sqft house in electric during the winter and once again I had that feeling of being totally ripped off.)...oh and the outdoor also makes an extremely loud groaning noise Every. SINGLE. Time that it cycles off.

Im a new homeowner and Ive only been in my forever home 2 months if that. On Sunday evening 07/26/2020, I noticed it was a bit warm and looked at my outside unit and it was iced. So I turned everything off until monday 07/27/2020 when I called my home warranty company to submit a claim. By 3:30pm the owner of the business himself showed up to assess the problem. He was able to bypass my relay switch just so I could get some cool air until the part had gotten in. And the part came in today 07/30/2020. He was at my house by 2:15pm, replaced the relay and there was another part that went bad last night which made the fan stop blowing. He was able to replace that part as well. Im now comfortably relaxing on my couch because the temperature in my home is back to normal. Id recommend HowardAire to anyone.

Home warranty company sent them, they ended up replacing both of my hvac units, 3 years later I smell burning plastic in my home. Pulled the cover off my air handler and found a plastic wire nut smoldering because they put it on the incoming high voltage line. Any HVAC personnel should know better than that. Could have caught my home on fire, never would I recommend this company.

HowardAire came on a Friday Morning to replace our HVAC system. They were great to communicate with about all the details and scheduling. They sent 3 technicians to do the job and they were so nice to have in our home. They were very respectful of our home and nothing was damaged in the process and best of all the new system is working GREAT! Thank you HOWARDAIRE! We are contacting them today to sign up for a maintenance agreement!

We wanted estimates on work. Very easy to reach n schedule a appointment. Prices are reasonable and the guy was patient with us and answered our questions.

However, Marco the owner do to his ignorants and unwillingness to follow through with making the units work, we wouldnt recommend this company. We used our home warranty company but we also paid over $1300 out of our own pocket and Marco said since theyre not contracted with the home warrenty company anymore, he wouldnt be fixing it! What about the money we paid out? Doesnt that contract you to us as well?! Oh, we were told this on the day they were scheduled by Stephanie to show up at our home!

They will not call you back, they show up when you bug them enough without a ladder, they set appointments and dont bother to show up or call and good luck calling them. No customer service and the AC unit is still down after 30 days. Save yourself the trouble. One other thing: If your home warrantee uses them it seems to be even worse. Tell them NOT to use this company!

They were sent by my home warranty company to find out why my heat pump was not blowing heat. They didnt diagnose the issue correctly ( of course I didnt know at the time). stated I needed a new fan blower motor, when the part finally came in the tech broke his tool AND the old fan blower motor. Claimed he couldnt get it out & that a new blower wheel & housing would be needed. After the home warranty co & howard air gave me the run around for over 6 weeks I called somebody else to fix the heat. Keep in mind my original claim was filed Nov 30th, HowardAire first visit was Dec 1. Its was fn freezing Dec & Jan. Had to buy space heaters and when that didnt cut it we had to stay with family. New heating company was able to fix the heat pump in less than 2 hours. Nothing was wrong with the heat pump except that HowardAire broke the fan blower motor. The new co was able to remove the old fan blower motor w/no issues & install the new one. I would not reccommend HowardAire to anyone...ever
