Vonderhaar’s Catering was an absolute pleasure to work with. From setting up the menu for the event, to the actual on-site service, each staff member I worked with was professional and efficient. Jan in sales really helped me figure out the best plan for the night - I was a little lost in planning this part of my wedding, and she really helped tremendously with food selections and the timeline. Lori from the on-site staff was just incredible. My venue coordinator had an emergency and did not show. Lori went above and beyond her catering duties to help with table set up and even trying to figure out the room lighting. In a very stressful environment, she helped provide that peace. And the food was absolutely delicious! Everything that Vonderhaar’s made was so flavorful. It stayed pretty warm, even for a slow eater like me. I heard so many guests complimenting the food that night! I would 100% recommend them for any event, and I will definitely use them again if I need another event catered!

Went down to Reading Oh. to visit my favorite butcher shop. I picked up 6 beautiful filets going birthday dinner. The staff at Vonderhaars was so professional and responsive. I was planning a wedding in a month and half and Kelly was on top of everything. They were also very flexible in any food item changes. It is not often that you can say that the food at the event tasted better than at the tasting! I loved the variety of menu items and that you could customize the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! I greatly appreciated them allowing my now husband and I to bring a non-alcoholic drink as our signature drink to showcase my culture. At the wedding, the service was above and beyond. I also appreciated that the staff at the wedding wore gloves and masks the entire time. They were very attentive, polite, and professional. When the salted caramel drizzle was not supplied with our wedding cake, the chef made us the salted caramel! The staff wore gloves and masks the entire time, and the overall service was so attentive! I highly recommend them for any event! I will definitely use their services again.

Met Jan for a catering tasting at Vonderhaars this week. The entrance to the catering office is next to the dairy whip. A bit confusing but follow the signs and you will find it easy.Tasting was professional and enjoyable and helped us to confirm our food selections. The food is good. Reasonable prices. People in deli was super nice. The only thing I didnt like is the cashiers are not friendly. Even after I spoke to them it was dry and when I left and said have a nice day I got no response. This is the second time I been here and the cashier have not been friendly. I will try out there catering services soon. I always here good things about them. I hope it gets better.

First time visiting this place recommended by my mother. She kept talking about it so I had to check it out. Im from out of town and I was visiting for 2 months with my daughter. I purchased a sandwich that was so delicious I couldnt stop eating it! I had to because it was so filling. I could only eat half. They are generous with their deli meat and you cannot beat the price! My mom got her tuna sandwich for 2.75 dollars! Dont get me started on the RIBS. My mom bought some and they were so good, I had to buy my own! I still think about those perfectly tinder smoked ribs. I was thrown off because Im use to ribs with bbq sauce. Honey!! You dont need it with these ribs. The flavor is perfect! Its a small store front that makes a major impact on the neighborhood. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and appealing establishment. The guy who works the front register had me cracking up and smiling every time I came to visit. I had some housemade prepackaged tortellini pasta that was so delicious, I was sad they didnt offer I every day. All the pasta sides I tried were so tasty. They also serve desserts made by someone local. That coconut cake, GET SOME! I love how they support local businesses. And then there is an ice cream shop with an abundance of variety. Floats, cones, slushies, etc. My family fell in love with this place and cannot wait to come back to visit. If youre looking for a place to cater your event, look no further!! These guys are seriously amazing.We hired them to cater our wedding in fall of 2020 which, of course, means that all of our plans got changed last minute.Our venue cancelled on us with 5 days until the wedding and vonderhaars was insanely flexible. No matter what scenario I threw at them they basically just answered yes, we can make that happen.Despite our entire wedding completely changing shape at the very last possible minute, these guys seriously were integral in making that wedding damn near perfect.The food was impeccable, the staff was timely and friendly, extremely good at communicating with us through the whole process and as I already said, incredibly flexible.I legitimately couldnt reccomend them highly enough. Thanks for a fantastic wedding night guys.

My husband and I used Vonderhaar’s for a backyard wedding. The responsiveness was excellent when we initially communicated with them. They were receptive to several changes we made throughout the process. The day of they were prompt, professional and the food was excellent. Their salad was especially delicious and had many compliments from our guests. Highly recommend for any couples having to adjust from a large reception to something smaller or even a larger wedding as well!

Vonderhaars Catering was great. Their service was wonderful. The crew was flexible and understanding of what was to be done. They were very professional.My only complaint is that I did not get what I ordered. The eggplant and primavera were outstanding.During our tasting, we had spaghetti with bolognese sauce that was so good. I dreamed of it for several months. This is not what we received. We got rotini with marinara sauce, which I greatly dislike on buffets and could not believe it was at my event. When I inquired about the bolognese sauce, I was shown a small bowl that looked mostly like soup that was to be added to the pasta. This was our only meat dish and my biggest disappointment with the wedding. Of course, this entree was leftover. When putting it up, my sister found a piece of meat not even the size of a pea.The marinara sauce was good, but not what I ordered.Go with Vondehaar, just dont order the bolognese.

Vonderhaar’s catered my Daughters wedding this past Friday night and I cannot tell you how happy we were with the food and Service. It all started with the planning as they walked us through all of the options to the execution that evening to ensure everything was in order and that we were taken care of. They accommodated a date change due to Covid without an issue and even though Covid made us change the way we served the meal, they adjusted accordingly without a hitch. I would recommend Vonderhaar’s for any event...they are very professional and detailed! Great job Vonderhaar Team!

Fresh meats in a case like the old days. Made lunch fresh and hot cold options. Very clean place. Wonder staff. They cater small and large events. The food is great not the usual slop served from other places. Oh their also a state liquor license store. Win win.

Vonderhaars catered my wedding and I was blown away by their service. We were ready for the dinner a little earlier than planned, and they still had the food ready quickly. Everybody loved our breakfast buffet! Our two staff members were so friendly and helpful, and they really made our day a lot less stressful. I highly recommend them!

I had to alter my wedding plans due to covid-19 and called them for a last minute catering, table rentals, and linens. They were very nice, professional, and super helpful and willing to help in my last minute altering wedding plans. I had originally booked my reception at a country club which closed because of covid and I wanted a special dinner catered to my new 10 person wedding. We had the filet Mignon, which was cooked to perfection. Best filet I have ever had. Melts in your mouth. Plus the sauces were amazing. Everything from the salad, sides and the chicken we had was delectable. I would hire them again in a heart beat. Im still thinking of the food and how delicious everything was after a month. My husband and I even went on their website afterwards to see if they just offer dinner to go for just the two of us one night! The staff was very nice. I had called them several times and they knew my name without telling them. A man stayed behind after they delivered the food and helped serve and made sure everything went smoothly. I Highly recommend this company for all catering needs!

In choosing a caterer for a wedding, it almost feels like buying a car. You feel like they will impress you with a shiny product, but when it gets to the details, they’ll stick it to ya! How disappointed we were that this was not the case with Vondehaar’s!Cathy did a lot of research for various catering companies for our wedding and reception. We developed a short list and went shopping. The first catering company we met with was Vonderhaar’s. We met with Jan. Holy cow… this was supposed to be so difficult! It was anything but painful. We were so fortunate to have visited this company first.Working with Jan, she was ALWAYS on top of changes with all details nailed down for contract updates. Jan responded quickly and was the main reason why we were happy to work with this company.Then we tasted their food at our tasting session. Not only were we very impressed, but later at our wedding reception the guests had only compliments! We still (months later) have people telling us how good the food at our wedding reception was, and that it was the best they’ve had at any wedding!Lori was the Vonderhaar’s Captain on the day of the wedding. Vonderhaar’s was my very first job at 15 years old. It was perfect with my high school schedule with sports and everything I was involved in. They always worked with me to make sure I wasn’t missing out on my high school experience. If I had a big test coming up, I was always able to get the weekend off to study. As I got older I worked in more places of the company. I worked in every single area of the company (except the meat counter) and loved it. It is the perfect job for high school and college students. I am lucky to have been involved in something so amazing!

Wait until the due date to report your final numbers so you only report them once (unless Vonderhaar’s tells you differently).

Delicious basic deli sandwiches in the back of a convenience store. I recommend the turkey on dark rye. Lots of meat on the sandwiches, so you won’t go away hungry. Nice staff, too.

Lori helped us organize our small wedding ceremony at Hauck Mansion and it could not have been a better experience! Lori was extremely helpful and responsive when we had questions leading up to the day. She was also really supportive as we were preparing to begin the ceremony - she helped us with timing and was just generally a kind/calm presence which was very appreciated. She even gave us some great photography ideas! We had a champagne toast after the ceremony before we went to a restaurant for dinner, and Lori did an amazing job of helping the timing run smoothly. The house was beautiful and everything was perfect!! Thank you!!

Our Christmas wedding had great cozy, winter food. The tasting was super helpful, the menu had good options, and the food day of was great. We got rave compliments from everyone, and they did a good job in our rather small wedding venue with rather short notice (planned in less than 3 months).

Vonderhaar’s Catering was one of our best choices in selecting vendors for our wedding. They have such a great reputation in Cincinnati, and it’s evident why. We worked with Lori during the tasting and planning process, and she was extremely attentive to our questions and needs. We were impressed by the level of care Vonderhaar’s staff took end-to-end. The staff at our reception was beyond expectation – and, there were zero issues the entire night. Oh, and the food was GREAT, too!

Vonderhaars Catering was an exceptional caterer for my wedding! Kelly Simpson was my coordinator to help organize everything from scheduling a tasting to the smallest of details that I may have overlooked. We had the special occasion pig roast for dinner at our wedding and a selection of passed hors doeuvres for cocktail hour. Every bit of the food was absolutely exceptional. The catering staff that worked the day of my venue were so polite and professional. One of the employees even brought my husband and I a glass of beer and wine while we were off doing our bride & groom photos after the ceremony. The staff were flexible when the cake cutting ended up being later than expected. Overall it was a wonderful experience to have Vonderhaars as my wedding caterer. I would highly recommend!

Vonderhaars catered our fall wedding. They provided an excellent menu and the food was amazing! The staff went above and beyond for my husband and I on our big day and assumed other roles to help out. Whether it was staging our dessert table or offering to help with decorations, they were dependable and polite.I dropped a platter of 25 plus cupcakes and was on the verge of a crying jag whilst cleaning them up. One caterer came over, took my hand and told me that they would take care of it and gave me bit of friendly advice about not sweating the small stuff and letting it detract from my special day. I was completely amazed by their generousity, kindness and ability to calm down my moments of panic.Unfortunately, it was raining on our wedding day and I had to walk outside before walking down the aisle. Two caters, a mother and daughter team might I add, helped me with my super long train and veil to keep my father and I from getting soaked. The staff I had the pleasure of working with were wonderful and there is not enough words to describe our gratitude to them.

I have to say Vonderhaars is a great place to work. I started working there when I was a sophomore in high school and continue to work there throughout my time in college. The scheduling manager could not be more accepting of crazy school schedules and she is fulling understanding of the busy life students have. I definitely know Vonderhaars is always a place I can come home to and a place I will always have a spot at. The company provides a fun work environment and the chance to make coworkers your lifetime friends.

They are a full service market. Fresh meat counter and cold cuts. Homemade goetta and sausages, beans, slaws.... I could go on! Special orders are welcome and the best damn catering services youll ever find! Full liquor department, beer and wine. They are a family owned and operated. I have been shopping here for years, I love that they cut their meats on site, no unnecessary BS preservatives. The staff is helpful and nice. Cant go wrong to visit them and see what I mean!!

I stopped in for the first time, recommend by a fellow truck driver. I ask about the BLT and was told I wouldnt be disappointed. WRONG! The bacon was stuck together in a hard lump in the center of not 1 but 2 sandwiches. I got some kinda cake balls that were so dry dust had more moisture. The lady that cashed me out and bagged my purchase, left out a drink. She didnt even say thank you. Needless to say I wont be back!!!

Vonderhaars was the caterer for our wedding on September 8, 2017 at the Cooper Creek Event Center in Blue Ash. In the past week since we have had our wedding, I think every guest we have spoken with since has commented on how delicious our food was. I have to give all the credit to their amazing team for being able to provide such a diverse menu. Everything from rum-raisin sea bass to broccolini to portobello stuffed mushrooms was offered at our wedding.Additionally Lori was a great liaison between the venue and the caterer and she was incredibly responsive to every inquiry. I cannot thank her enough for providing us with a SECOND tasting to give us exactly what we wanted on our special day. Did I mention she did all this with 3 months notice? We had to change our caterer 3 months away from our wedding date and they made it so simple for us. Thank you again for not only the amazing food but also the attentive staff! I would choose you guys all over again if I could.
