Wow! Great property. The common areas here are great. Wonderful new gym area- very clean and loaded with equipment. The pool area is like a resort- so nice. Also very knowledgeable and professional managers work here. The surrounding area in Rancho has all the shopping you could need. So the location is great!5 stars ⭐️

Been here for roughly 6 months. So far, everything is great. The facilities are very nice, they have a BBQ/Pool/Lounge/Gym for residents. All of which are well maintained and newer. I mainly deal with Albert, who works in the office, he is kind, professional, and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat, some of which are walking distance, as well as a Target right across the intersection. Would recommend.

I moved in a few months ago and have had no issues or complaints thus far. The move in process was a little hectic as it’s done through a third party company, but the local office staff were very helpful and courteous during the process. Teena provided me with excellent customer service and was always willing to answer all of my questions and phone calls! I truly appreciate the staff!

Terrible apartment. The rental is high but the appliances are very out-dated. The fridge leaks, the dish washer leaks, and the clothes washer damages your clothes and cannot spin your clothes dry. Service is not bad. They will exchange a new appliance for me, but why cant they do this before I move in??? This is the worst apartment Ive ever lived. Now I’ve met the serious A/C issues. The AC has leaking issues since April, and the problem is never solved. It leaks every month. I need to move everything away when the technician comes to check because the dust goes everywhere, and definitely I need to waste lots of mopping cloths to clean the bathroom. Last time they left a dehydrator in my bathroom for a whole weekend. I was asked to keep that machine running for whole three days. Really terrible, noisy and wasting my electricity!!! Managers know I was really unsatisfied with this apartment and so they gave me the on-site transfer agreement. I need to pay $750 to transfer to a new apt under UDR. Seriously??? Pay $750 for transfer due to their terrible apartment appliances? It’s such a good way to solve A/C issues and other issues I’ve met.

I wouldn’t even rate a one star unfortunately. I have been living here for few years . Pay around 2400 for rent, it is a high rent and you will think you pay a high rent for a decent high end living “ luxury apartments as advertised “ apartments always dirty, have had toCall myself so management can place proper cleaning orders. Lots of unsupervised dogs . The main concern here is the lack of care from management when it comes to neighbors smoking marijuana and other drugs . You smell marijuana or else on hallways . It has been brought to management but there is no proper accountability or supervision. They advertise a beautiful pool to go and enjoy yourself . However, every time I go to pool, I find people smoking cigarettes and marijuana while children playing. Not happy living here and waiting to move when lease is up

Been living here for the past 9 months now and I’ve had mixed thoughts about my experience so far.- People in the community (those who don’t pick up after themselves and leave trash behind, especially with their dogs)- Leasing management office or lack of management. After reaching out to them 3 times regarding noisy neighbors they have done nothing to resolve the issue. They’ve responded with “We have reached out to the resident” and used the following as an explanation “Due to residents working from home there has been increase in noise”. This is the reason they give me after informing them that our neighbors are being extremely loud (playing music, screaming, stomping) after midnight on a weekday.Overall, I feel that I’ve given the leasing office enough chances to settle the noise complaint considering that all residents are under contract with them. Because of my experiences here so far, it’s difficult to recommend the Verano to anyone. I doubt that this issue will be resolved during the remainder of my lease here due to the incompetence of the leasing office. At this point I am looking forward to moving out of this community.UPDATED 9/20: Ive informed their night security dispatch of these neighbors causing noise after midnight on a weekday and nothing was done. Not sure what to do anymore all services provided are useless.

Management was always friendly, professional and responsive. The complex was continuing to enhance property. Security was important to me and I always felt safe. Landscaping was kept up and complex clean. One negative and a huge problem was parking inside for visitors. I really liked it there and might have stayed if not the last rent hike especially during a pandemic, But I really did enjoy living there. I had really great neighbors and people seemed friendly.

I lived here for 1 year. I enjoyed my stay. The leasing office was friendly when I first met them. There are a lot of residents here at least 1000 and I enjoyed that I never saw the leasing agents or any people I didn’t know ever talked to me. That was great. I’m private. The app on the phone for bill pay and maintenance is nice. I loved the views of mount baldy very nice. The only downfall was when I moved in they re did the whole pool. Then Covid hit so most amenities were closed during that time. 2nd thing was since carpet is out hardwood is in most apartments so you here tons of stopping above you. Rent a 3rd floor if your ok with walking. Some apartments are outdated but mine was remodeled. Comes with a garage which is cool. Some do not. Next to target and shopping. Overall most people living here are military or warehouse workers. UDR is a large property group so I like that they have tons of places in LA and OC to rent if you move. I’d recommend renting here.

When it got broken into my garage door opener was in THEIR possession and of course they didn’t assist in a single way.. only helpful member of their staff as Albert, he was kind and respectful. The maintenance team that had my garage door opener to change the battery should get some background checks and not steal from tenants or assist in theft ... while living there, I also met two people that had their garages broken into and were disappointed about the action of the facility. Invest in the people that bring you business and protect them, get security cameras. Lost all respect for a gated community with this much theft. Apart from that it was a nice place.

Unbelievably negligent, incompetent leasing staff. My husband and I were told verbally that the units come with two parking spaces. The one we viewed and wanted had apparently been leased the same day, so they gave us an option to take another one which was exactly the same - in a less prime location near a dumpster. We decided to take it anyway, app went through, but when we signed the lease there was a $65 difference in the rent -- which they explained by saying that the parking wasnt included. Okay. In addition they did not apply a promotion which we received in writing for that specific unit. No accountability for their misleading communication or lack of transparency whatsoever.Heres the best part: they agreed to show us another apartment so I went to see it while my husband was at work. They have a system where prospects tour the property on their own using codes to enter the buildings. While I was in the unit looking, alone, a young man entered saying that he was just in there ten minutes ago and left his wallet. He told me that the office GAVE HIM THE CODE to enter. He became agitated, assuming I took it, and when I left he blocked me off from exiting the complex with his car and had his buddy stand outside my window while he called the cops. He kept saying that the situation could have gone left lmao which I guess was supposed to be a threat. The leasing staff needs to be held accountable for handling the situation so poorly. It is ABSURD that they gave him the code to enter the unit to look for a lost item while someone was viewing it. What were they thinking?? They denied any responsibility by saying it happened after the fact which is complete BS. Barely an apology for the ridiculous inconvenience or for potentially putting me in danger, and theyre trying to hold our app fees as if they have a legal leg to stand on. These people are out of their minds.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT move Into this apartment complex. Its a nightmare. I have had nothing but trouble with the office. It took me 6 days to get my hot water heater fixed and not because of the maintenance guys but because the staff said it was a non emergency that I had freezing cold water. After becoming extremely rude (which I never am) I finally talked to the maintenance guys and they said oh yeah that needs to be take care of ASAP. Then we went to brake our lease because we bought a house and had to pay them $3,500 for a one bedroom apartment the size of a closet. Then they charged us $956 after we moved out for damages a.k.a paint which should be normal wear and tear and replacing the carpet which was perfect before we moved out. We even had them steam cleaned and had zero pets. So now we owe them $556 more after they took the money from our deposit. This place is an absolute joke. Hate EVERYTHING about it. Spend the extra couple hundred dollars and live at homecoming! It will be worth it.

After reading the reviews for this place, I have to say I was a bit nervous about moving in. We decided to take a chance on them since we loved the layout of the town home we were moving in to. We have been here a month now and so far everything is great! The ladies in the office are genuinely helpful and friendly. The community is pretty quiet, the pool is beautiful and clean, the gym is great and has newer and better machines than my current gym that we were signed up with, and the mail room is secure, you need a key to get in it. Overall, weve had a great experience so far, our home is beautiful and everything works good and looks pretty new, the gates at the front open & close throughout the day, they dont stay open like some other complexes do and, oh, the property is well maintained and very clean with lots of beautiful palm trees throughout. At first the Staff, as well as the apartments themselves appeared great. Had a very big issue with the Staff when I decided not to move in. They wanted to keep my $200 hold deposit because they said it was well after 48 hours. The problem was they NEVER approved me. The hold paperwork clearly says that it is 48 hours from the approval date. When I questioned them, first they said they emailed me the approval, then they said that they verbally told me, then they said they mailed it to me. I told them I need signed by me proof that I had been approved. They were still waiting for income verification 6 days after I applied, who is gonna approve prior to that. They keep changing up the story on me. I am going to end up suing them. Why not have me sign an approval letter when I was first there or send me a dated and time stamped forward of this mysterious approval email they sent me?

0 stars! Ive been here 2 weeks and Ive experienced nothing, but hell.Application Process:The process of being accepted in2 the Verano was a grueling one. I submitted 6-months worth of bank statements, along with 3-check stubs (let me point out that I earn well over 6-figures so I thought the 3 stubs wouldve been enough) 2 verify that I could afford 2 pay the rent. Not 2 mention my credit score is good. Considering all factors, one must ask- Was there some other factor that made the Verano staff so skeptical about renting 2 me being that I provided everything they needed? If thats the case, what factor might that be?Id also like to know what they require other residents to submit in order to be accepted or if they only put myself and others (similarly situated through the same rigorous process)? This definitely deserves some attention as it appears to be unfair in more ways than one.At any rate, I got approved & I received the electronic notice right away. I called the office for over a week to discuss the next steps and didnt get through to anyone. Finally after 2 weeks or so, I spoke with someone and he told me that even though I was approved that they still had to verify some things. Odd, right. After nearly 2 more weeks, and after sending out several emails, I finally received an accepted email from the Verano office and was told to sign the lease and to pay the appropriate fees by move-in.Move-In:My move in date was Memorial Day (May 27th). I questioned the front office on several occasions regarding whether or not the office would be open on a holiday. I was assured it would be by 3 different people.Nearly 2 days before move in, my fiance stopped by the office to check for a 4th time and at that time and later via email, we were told the office would not be open and that I needed to get the my money submitted 2 them immediately.Extra Fees and Bad Information:We moved fast and I rushed $3,000 to my fiance via Western Union and spent almost an extra $300 on Western Union fees doing so. Long story short, he was able to get the money to the Verano staff and I was told they would text me the smart code to my front door (the Sunday night) before move-in on Monday (which they did do).Broken Washing Machine & AC:After arriving at my apartment, my washing machine gave me problems the first week. It was fixed 2/3 days afterwards and it is still working now. However, less than a week later, my AC broke on a Tuesday and its Friday (almost end of day) and it is still not fixed. I work from home and working in a hot environment is not ideal. Because of this and the old portable AC that they finally gave me-my allergies are in a frenzy and I have a constant migraine. The day after it broke the front office was closed for a company event and it was complete hell trying to get someone on the phone at the after hours answering service. When I finally spoke with someone, she was very disrespectful, and I resorted to reaching out to both the Verano office manager and the owner of the property. Both the owner and the manager assured me this problem would be rectified and yet, almost 5 days later, and 4 visits from maintenance, my AC is still broken. Ive reached out to the manager and owner via email again and neither have responded and the young man in the office doesnt have any information to provide me. Im being given the run around. This is a shame and a disgrace! Had I know Id pay nearly $2,000 month in rent for an apartment that Id be in for 2/3 weeks and have this many problems with 0 resolutions, I wouldve chosen another apartment home with none of these problems. I have a constant migraine from dealing with these people.I want out of my lease and I am encouraging you (potential renter) 2 please heed 2 my advice and find you an apartment somewhere else unless you want 2 deal with the issues above. The owner responded on other reviews and I decided 2 reach out 2 her personally. She was responsive in the beginning, however, now-Ive heard NOTHING. Do not rent here!

Most horribly managed apartments I have ever lived in any time there is a maintenance repair needed I have to put in at least 3-6 work orders for it to be semi fixed. Water pressure in bathrooms is terrible ice machine doesn’t work. We complained about a water stain on the ceiling and they went months without looking at it turns out the tub was leaking for months probably making mold and they just resealed the tub and painted over the stain after 3 maintenance calls were made. Water temperature is bad at first our showers were warm for a maximum of 5 minutes and after 6 calls now the water in the kitchen doesn’t get cold. Toilet water pressure no good. 5 calls and still doesn’t really work. This place is not worth the 2,000 dollars a month. Recently they came to paint the ceiling and the painter dropped an entire gallon of paint and got it on my nearby clothes and gym bag. I still currently live here and will not be resigning my lease.

RENTER BEWARE!!!!!!! When we first moved into this apartment we thought it was going to be clean and quiet... We were so wrong. We got stuck signing up for a second year because by the time we realized our lease was almost up we had no where else to go. Our neighbors would leave trash in the hallway and when going onto the balcony, we could see our neighbors hanging their clothes on the balcony and had a lot of trash. What a view!! We started noticing a lot of cockroaches around the premises and in the hallway. Neighbors are also loud. We even had experienced a neighbor barking at a dog to make it bark. Hallways always smell of cigarette smoke or weed. We approached the leasing office but they kept telling us emails were sent and they were supposedly doing walk throughs during the day to look at balconies and hallways. We finally had enough and paid over $2500 to break our lease and a month and a half later they are still trying to get more money for supposed damage made to the apartment. I tried calling leasing office for a month to schedule a walk through of the apartment before vacating but they never got back to me. They do not care about the residents there. All they care about is how to get more money out of you. Do not rent from these people. They are horrible!!!!

Nope, nope nope. Big mistake renting here. Everything fell into place and it was way above the standard vs all the other apts we were looking at. The price was right, location was good and the place was clean. So move in day comes and out comes the real story of this apartment. They only let us move in on Sunday, which is kind of a pain in the butt, but whatever it’s fine. The hallways are very narrow so it’s a huge pain to move large couches in and out. You’re really crammed in here.Cost: You are definitely taken for a ride. We started at $1588 a month for our apt, then here comes a $75 charge for trash water etc. Ok, was the $1588 a teaser rate? No they just don’t tell you... so now it’s about $1760 for a one bedroom out of nowhere. I honestly think you are paying for the location and retail space that is built into the main building.Internet: why is this a topic? Because it’s $115 a month!!! That’s right. Did Verano tell me about it prior to signing the contract? Nope. The apt it’s self is ok. The shower head is old. The apt was updated and painted, not bad flooring etc and cabinets but not for the money you pay. The closet is very small, there is little to no room in the kitchen for storage. Washer and dryer aren’t bad they get the work done. The ac/heater are actually pretty good and very quiet. The windows though, those are so wore out. Get ready to pull a hernia opening them. The people at the apt are nice. One thing, I don’t mind kids, and these kids are super sweet. But their parents let them run all over and play in the street etc. It kind of makes me nervous sometimes driving through the complex.Gated community. You pay for parking as a resident. As in you pay $40 a spot to have reserved parking. If you want a garage it’s $50. That’s a little steep, shouldn’t you be given a spot as a resident? Nope not here. Back to the gated community, I guess you pay extra in your rent or in the parking fee, but the gates are constantly broken and homeless people get in and rummage through the garbage. So much for a gated community.Staff: the staff has been nice, but it seems like they’re overworked and probably underpaid. It’s almost a pain for them to help you, probably because it has nothing to do with a bonus. The complex itself is owned by UDR which is a real estate investment company. What does that mean? Shareholders come first. Yes the apt has to do general upkeep etc and the apt complex is very nice on the outside, but you will be crammed in there to generate $$$.Pool/Gym: the gym is ok. You won’t get a great workout there but there’s enough. The pool is a water park for kids, which is fine, but it’s not a pool for adults.Price again. Ok I mentioned internet, and it does piss me off that they don’t provide an affordable service but Fios specifically told me that the apt complex is on an old internet connection. I don’t know if it’s fiber or whatever but the FIOS rep said it was old and it required more attention and older equipment. Again... Shareholders... The apartment can update it and give everyone internet for $40-50 a month but they choose not to. My price started at $1560 then you add parking fee, water and trash and it’s about $1750. Couple that with Internet, and you’re above $1800. Once you get your Edison and Gas bill you’re hitting close to $2k for a 700sq ft 1 bedroom apt.Overall experience. We probably won’t renew, we need a bigger place and the price to renew will be higher so we’ll probably move. This is an honest review, I just don’t like what Im getting compared to what I’m paying for. But the price of this place is probably why there are a ton of repos that happen. It’s calmed down for a little bit but every night for a month the repo man was yanking cars from the complex. I would not suggest renting here, they don’t tell you the truth when you’re signing up and they paint a very pretty picture, then you move in and here comes the real picture.

Never had such a bad experience with an apartment before. They charge you for luxury apartments but there is no luxury here. Our garage was broken into 4 times in this gated community. The office manager Betty was no help at all. She just told us to report it to our renters insurance and claimed they have never had any break-ins before. Come to find out later there are plenty of other yelp reviews stating that they had garage theft. After we had another break-in all they offered to do was give us another garage that we never used because my pregnant girlfriend was afraid to open our garage at night and find someone in there. After we moved out on June 25th 2017 we received a revised Final Account Statement by email on July 10th 2017 charging us for carpet replaced due to pet damage. We left the carpet clean and free of any pet damage. After we sent them an email asking why we were being charged for pet damage they sent us an unsigned final walkthrough that didnt say anything about pet damage. After 11 emails they have refused to give us an actual work order/invoice for the carpet replacement(which is required by law), they wont give us any picture proof of the damage or how they determined that it was actual pet damage, they wont tell us how old the carpet was before replacement, and they wont even give us their name for reference. Whoever is emailing us only replies with a single sentence only saying that The charges are correct and will stand.I feel like they are exploiting the fact that we did have a dog on our lease and are just trying to make money on false charges assuming we would pay them in fear of collections. In our last email we told the mystery person that we will take them to court if they dont supply us with the required documentation to prove that the carpets were damaged by our dog and they simply replied with The charges are correct and will stand. I have all of our emails ready for any corporate manager that would like to reach out and correct their employees mistakes.I wonder how many other people have been scammed after moving out.

Horrible experience with this place and the staff. Pretty much what everyone says is true, they are crooks and very unprofessional. I gave my 60 day notice to vacate (after they went up $175 on my rent) a day late and Albert said he would back date it for me. When I moved out I get a notice from the billing department that I owe because of a late 60 day notice. I called and asked Albert about it and he tells me I have to pay DESPITE him saying he would back date it. Furthermore I got charged for damage repair on a wall that I had the tv mounted on. Mind you, I filled in the holes. I was also charged for painting even though I thought they had to paint anyway. The remainder of my deposit went to cleaning even though I cleaned that place from top to bottom. They sure did whatever they could to take all my money and make me pay more. They just lie and do what they want. So glad I moved and Im somewhere much better. They suck so much. Im not surprised I talked to so many neighbors and they were all leaving also.

IF I can, I would take away all star given by others to this community. I have worst experience with this community. Please do not make your home at this community. If you still want to make it, make sure you know following hidden stuffs.1. No free Parking space. if u have more then one car, either you parking outside community or pay $40 extra for reserve spot.2. Only internet provider is Frontier and you will get service after 2 to 3 weeks once you register and google have one star rating for Frontier so you can guess how they provide service.( if community provides frontiers agent phone number, his name is Tony. please do not get service from him, he is crook.)3. If you request any maintenance service, it will take 2 to 3 weeks and some time never, I am still waiting for them to come and fix ceiling Fan as of (aug 29 2017 ) I moved in aug 1st and requested on aug 3rd. still waiting to complete4. If you have UPS package, they will not accept it and you have to go to UPS service center and pick it up,Overall this community is garbage. Please do not come. please do not come. Whole staff needs to be replaced. If i can move out without any charge, I wouldnt think second time and move out. but I am stuck now for a year lease.

Renter Beware! Before you even consider moving here please research! They are the slums of Rancho Cucamonga! The office staff is a joke under the leadership of Carmen Mayorga; she is a horrible office manager with ZERO people skills and no understanding of any issues. Everyone in the office is extremely condescending. Ok, dont take my word for it but if you even consider living here at the Verano Apartments and they take you on a tour look around for yourself. Come back at night and see exactly what Im talking about. The patios are horrible and full of trash, does management care? NO. My neighbors have trash on their patio, their whole patio is a violation of the leasing agreements... do they care? NO! The hallways smell like weed at night. Do they care? NO! If you have kids I wouldnt suggest living here. This place is pretty bad. Remember I told you so!
