We used to live in the DC area and we had the most fantastic dentist there. When we moved to Raleigh over 15 years ago, we had a terrible time finding a good dentist. None of them compared to our DC dentist. Right when we thought we found a good one, something would happen and we would realize we needed to move on. We just couldnt find an office that was good at both billing and actual dentistry. People think they have good dentists, but you dont know if they are good until you have an actual emergency. I think we have been to Dr. Staehling enough to know that he is fantastic. Hes patient. Hes kind. He is really good at administering Novocaine (at least my child did not complain at all when it was needed for a tooth extraction)!! Hes gentle. I appreciate his bedside manner.Lynn runs a tight ship up front. I appreciate that because so many offices are run poorly. All of the staff is good. Very happy and thrilled our orthodontist recommended him.

Going to the dentist always raises my anxiety-so much so that I had avoided going for quite some time. I would become physically ill at the thought of having to see the dentist because prior experiences were always unpleasant and at times, down right traumatic. But a family member referred me to Dr. Staehlings office and my only complaint is that I didnt know about them sooner. Warm, compassionate, friendly, professional, thorough, and absolutely terrific with kids. My 8 year old couldnt stop talking about the visit and how nice Miss Jessica was. I am so grateful to have found Southern Dental Arts. My children and I look forward to being life long patients.

I highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs. I was very nervous about any kind of dental procedure and the team here was kind, caring and professional. Jessica was amazing at explaining all the procedures as they were being completed and even though I had quite a bit of work done, she was exceptionally considerate and gentle. Lynn and Dr Staehling did my filling with such great care, that I barely noticed by the time they were done. I have been incredibly intimidated in the past by any dental procedure, but after three visits to this practice I can say that I am not any longer. I highly recommend this team for anyone, but especially for anyone with worries about dental procedures because they are absolutely great.

Ive only been a patient here for a little over a year (three total visits). I transferred after a negative experience somewhere else. In that time, every one of my cleanings was truly excellent (gentle, yet thorough), the dentist, hygienist and front desk woman were always very kind and easy to talk to. They took a fairly conservative approach to dental work, which I appreciated, as I felt my previous dentist was recommending work unnecessarily. The facility is nice, and they have tvs you can watch while they do your work, but it doesnt feel like it is trying to be a spa or something else other than an excellent dental office.But what motivated me to come and make a review (which I will post in a few different places) was the fact that when I called to pay my husbands most recent bill, the receptionist asked if she was correct in thinking I was hoping to hear news on a new job, which was accurate. The fact that she remembered a week after my husband visited and almost a month after I visited, really touched me. If we werent moving to Charlotte (for the new job) I would absolutely not be leaving this office.

Yet another outstanding experience for my both my son (9) and I yesterday. In and out in roughly 30 minutes without feeling rushed or short-changed in any way. Incredibly friendly staff, from receptionist to hygienist to the dentist himself .

The team at Southern Dental Arts is by far the best in the area. I have recommended friends and coworkers who have thanked me and are very happy with the service. I never knew that going to a dentist could be so enjoyable and not scary until I started with them 6 years ago. It is a boutique office that isnt commercialized and believes in making you comfortable.

I just changed insurance so my old dentist wasnt covered anymore. I found southern dental arts on my insurance website and looked them up online. They had 5 stars. I was impressed but a little hesitant since they only had about 20 reviews. I emailed them and they responded very promptly and politely letting me know the appointments that were available in the near future. They emailed me the documents I needed to fill out for my visit and I showed up with them filled out a couple minutes early. They had me sitting in the chair a minute or two BEFORE my appointment and ready to start. That is unheard of these days. They did a great job on my teeth. Ever single one of the staff that I interacted with were super nice. I was also very impressed with the technology they used. Oh last but not least, they will put whatever you want on TV directly over your face while your teeth are being cleaned. I will be back and I recommend you check them out.

I am new to the Raleigh area, and I went to Southern Dental Arts for the first time this morning. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. They have snacks and coffee in the immaculate waiting room, they really sat and talked with me for the initial consultation about my overall health and teeth concerns, they had the TV on whatever station I wanted to watch while having my work done, and they offered personalized recommendations for my brushing and lifestyle habits. I had a wonderful experience and am so happy I chose to come here.

I’ve been going to Southern Dental Arts for a few years, and Dr. Staehling has done a lot of work on my teeth, including multiple crowns. I recommend him highly. Whether it’s a routine check-up or you need crowns, you won’t be disappointed. Dr. Staehling has a very nice personality; you’ll always feel cared for and never intimidated (like some dentists make you feel). He is attentive to details and will make sure you’re satisfied with the shape/shade not only of your permanent crown but your temporary as well. I’m smiling more and more because I don’t need to worry about the state of my teeth now. Dr. Staehling, Jessica, Laticia are all incredibly kind, and it is easy to schedule your appointments and figure out your insurance details with Lynn.

Its been about four years since Ive been to a dentist and quite frankly I was impressed with Southern Dental Arts!! From the friendliest receptionist, educated dental radiologist, the thorough dentist himself, and the detail oriented dental hygienist. They seemed to work as a team and explain everything they were going to do. Ive never walked into a dentists office and felt as though it was going to be a luxurious experience --but thats exactly what it was! Tasteful office space, up-to-date dental technology, televisions in each exam room (to take away the awkwardness of not being able to talk when your mouth is open) down to the warm towelettes to wipe your face after your cleaning! At check out I was even provided estimates for future procedures and how much insurance would likely cover for my next visit. Overall best experience from any other dentists office Ive been to.THE ONLY issue I have is with actually finding the place, because Southern Dental Arts is a suite inside an unmarked building, it is hard to find from the road. There is a sign but it is so small you will not be able to find it without driving right past it. Without a sign it is the best kept secret I was glad to find.

My kids had such excellent care from the whole team! I was so impressed, they actually got my anxious, sensitive kids to get bitewing x-rays!! They really went the extra mile and took their time to give my kids the best care. So glad I found Southern Dental Arts!

Going to the dentists is not an experience I typically enjoy. Ryan and the folks at Southern Dental Arts were easy to get to, had Coconut Water, whisked my right back, and had my out in thirty minutes. I viewed X-rays on an overhead screen minutes after having them taken and then that same screen broadcast the Olympics throughout the entire procedure. Giddy up. Couldnt ask for more.

Best dentist Ive ever been to! The staff and Dr Staehling are amazing, always going above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable and that all my questions are answered. Wait times are never more than 10 min (usually only about 2-3 min) and you get to watch TV on a screen above your head while they work on your teeth. Im so glad to have found them and highly recommend Dr Staehling to anyone looking for a dentist!

Ive been going to Southern Dental Arts for the past year, and I wish Id have found them sooner. Im not a big fan of going to the dentist, but honestly, this place has calmed my nerves. I went nearly five years without going to a dentist because of a bad experience with my last dentist. I suffer from Anxiety and panic attacks, but from the moment I walked in until I left the staff was incredible. They talked me through everything and went slow and gave me time to breathe/rest between steps. If youre terrified of dentists, this is the place to go.I have been a patient now for a couple of years and I dont have panic attacks there any more. Thats shows how amazing the staff and Dr. Staehling are here. Dr. Staehling explains each step as he is doing it and asks throughout the procedures how youre doing. I actually dont fear the dentist any more (at least not this one).

I absolutely love Dr. Staehling and the whole staff at Southern Dental Arts. I have been a patient for almost a year and have never experienced such a nice dental practice. From Lynn greeting you and making sure everything is taken care of from a billing point to the dental hygienist being so friendly it makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. Dr. Staehling has done amazing work, fixing previous bad dental work as well as fixing a chipped tooth that I cannot even tell which tooth it was now. They are fantastic!

Dr. Ryan Staehling has created a new dental experience in the Triangle - he has taken the typical dental visit to new heights by creating a technologically savvy office with the latest and greatest equipment - it is truly an experience that will impress! The office is centrally located off Creedmoor Road, just north of Crabtree Valley. Their waiting area is private and welcoming and the back office environment is clean and modern. Dr. Ryan and his staff are top notch, the best experience our family has found in Raleigh for all of our dental care needs.

I have previously reviewed my experience dealing having routine maintenance done at SDA. As noted in that review, I will never go to any hygienist, other than Jessica ever again....Yesterday I had my first actual dental procedure (other than having a cavity filled) done by Dr. Staehling. I found him to be extremely attentive to my concerns, as well as any pain or discomfort issues during and after the procedure. He is self assured but not arrogant, giving me a feeling of total confidence in both his knowledge and ability.As I sit here writing this, I am pain free for the first time in weeks (my own fault, they offered to see me weeks ago, and on short notice), and wondering why I put off having this procedure for close to 8 years....I highly recommend Dr. Staehling as well as the entire staff of the SDA office!!!Several other things about dealing with SDA:* On arrival, I have never waited more than 3 minutes to be seen.* Lynne, the office manager is delightful to deal with

Southern Dental Arts takes any typical fears of a dentist out of the equation. They honestly make the experience as good as it can possibly be. They ask what channel you would like to watch while getting your teeth cleaned. They take a great amount of time with each person to ensure that you feel important. I have never been so educated by a dentist before... Dr. Staehling actually showed me my fillings from a video camera and calmed my nerves completely. Dr. Staehling helped me with a realistic step by step plan to conquer all of my dental needs. Lynn and Dr. Staehling referred me to an orthodontist and surgeon for wisdom teeth removal and I absolutely love who they sent me to. This place definitely deserves 5 stars as it is top notch service and dental care experience.

Dr Staehling and his staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel right at home. Its a beautifully decorated office with all the latest technology....even a Keurig! My son had the best 1st experience here. Every time we pass the dental office he asks to see Dr Ryan and to get his teeth cleaned again! For me, I despise needles. I LOVE this place. I had a life long phobia of dentist. I had an extremely traumatic experience as a young child. When it came time to set an example for my kids on good dental hygiene, I knew it was time to find the one. Dr. Staehling and his staff have been AMAZING. I would walk in for my first few appointments near a panic attack. The calmness of the office (vibe and appearance), the kindness of the staff and Dr. Staehling zen really made me at ease. The staff and Dr. Staehling would talk me through all of my procedures, explaining what they were doing and what to expect really lessened my panic feeling. And watching reality TV (my choice always) helped as well. I can bring my kids with me; they have a great kid area with books, games, puzzles and a tv and I know the staff is NOT burdened my kiddos are tagging along. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Staehling and his staff- I can honestly say I dont mind going to the dentist (it only took 30+ years). Thank you Southern Dental Arts!
