I live in Fayetteville but bought the CT5 small Cadillac from Thompson in Raleigh in February 2020. I was notified there were several recalls on my car and it needed an oil change. My Service Consultant there was Bobby Dwyer who explained to me the CT5 needed 8 recalls and he may need to order parts to complete all of them, he arranged for me to have a loaner Caddy while mine was being serviced. They also rotated my tires so they will last longer. The car was cleaned and vacuumed so the CT5 was returned it to me in better shape than when I left it. Bobby kept me informed during the entire process and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

I visited many dealerships in the area while searching for a new car. On my second visit to Thompson I met Xavier Jones. I knew immediately that I wanted to give my business to him. He treated me as if I were family. He listened to my needs and helped me find the perfect car. It had been 13 years since I drove a new car and he was so kind and patient in explaining all the technology features of my new Cadillac. Shout out to the Thomson Cadillac team, especially Sean Riley & the service team and Dave with his team in Express. Over the past 5 years, Ive had visited both departments more than one would expect.Im always impressed with how quickly the Express team plugs my tire when I stop by. Ive need a tire plugged probably 8 times since 16, and I dont think its ever taken longer than 15 minutes total!Sean has been great; I cant say enough about his commitment to customer service. I traded an 11 SRX, which I loved, for a 16 SRX; I never imagined I would have so many issues with the new one (maybe Detroit water). Despite the struggles, Sean has consistently went out of his way to help resolve the issues. Most recently the transmission went out and Sean did everything he could to make the situation better. I can tell he cares about my SRX too
Bought a new Cadillac 4 weeks ago and initially I was not completely satisfied due to a communications problem with the sales person. After bringing the misunderstanding to the attention of management, the problem was solved in timely manner. My wife & I drove down from Fayetteville, NC to have our 2017 Cadi XT5 looked at due to a recent check engine light. We could have went to Cadillac of Fayetteville but were not happy with previous customer service. From the moment we arrived Bobby Dwyer was extremely pleasant and energetic. He got us checked in, ran a quick diagnostic on the car & pulled up our warranties. Bobby then asked when we would be back to pick up the car & my wife & I both looked puzzled. We were unaware before we arrived that our scheduled appointment time was for drop off only. You can imagine how this would be a problem for us as we drove from Fayetteville, NC & all the loaners were booked for the day. Bobby Dwyer went ABOVE & BEYOND to provide us with not only 1ST TIME ACCURACY but a WORLD CLASS EXPERIENCE. If I could give them a 0, I would. A 1 star rating is extremely generous. Thompson Cadillac was wonderful when we serviced our previous vehicle and when we purchased our brand new 80,000 vehicle, however it has been serviced 4 times in the past 5 months due to automotive problems including all 4 faulty tires. They have had the car in their possession for 16 days now to swap out 4 tires. Our next move is heading to Mercedes, and trading this vehicle in so we don’t have to deal with the run around at Thompson Cadillac, they’re great at lip service.
I believe a lot of my frustration was caused over the fact my SRX is the only model to have a filter in the rear differential component, which clog causing close to $3K in damages yet, the front differential does not have a filter, but has fluid?????????My service advisor was very knowledgeable in explaining how everthing functioned. He was a little abrasive even though that pretty much comes with the territory. He suggested an alignment even though Just Tire did an alignment check a month ago saying it was fine. He also suggested new tires, once again Just Tire did not suggest it.I think Thompson Caddilac would be better off by being a little bit smarter. My filter was not changed in the differential, now, logic indicates other filters or fluids could have been neglected: how about the fluid in the front differential or transmission fluid and flush. The car was in the air already beingmost garages throw in a free transmission inspection for just having an oil change it would not have taken much effort. I would say Thompson left some meat on that chicken bone. I bought my SRX about four months ago so far I spent close to $5K in repairs.
We had the pleasure of working with Mike Portillo on January 2nd. He was extremely professional, yet personable and made our experience purchasing a CT5 wonderful! We weren’t able to get to the dealership until 30 minutes prior to closing but we never felt pressured or rushed to come to our decision (even on a Saturday night!). Best car buying experience I’ve ever had and will never purchase another vehicle anywhere else. Mike was great, Thompson Cadillac was great...all of it was great!

Im a service advisor for another brand and thus know how things should go. I called ahead twice, trying to get information on approximate cost of changing my turn signals and at the same time change any other bulbs which were in same area. Joanna, never called me back. Brought my Caddy in and explained the same. The 1st call I received was to let me know that it would cost me approximately 480.00 for the replacing bulbs I supplied. I asked what would the other bulbs cost while you do that. The advisor (Joanna) informed me the work was already done. I said 1) I didnt authorize 480.00 and 2) you did NOT give me the option of replacing the other bulbs whether they were working or not. I NEVER ok work without informing the customer what the price would be and thus expect the same.Manager (Greg) didnt think anything was wrong here as well. Informed me that I authorized work. Clearly this was NOT the case. Once I was told it would be 480 plus dollars I would have had my guys change them and for much less. All he did was say he was sorry for miscommunications.
DO NOT buy a vehicle from this dealer. I bought a CERTIFIED preowned GMC Yukon 4 months ago that was still under factory warranty (in addition to purchasing the extended warranty). Engine started grinding loudly within days of purchasing, the car has been in the shop with them more than Ive driven it myself. First it was the transmission, then it was engine knocking, now they say its a completely normal sound? They are now saying since its a normal noise, theres nothing else they can do... I guess I get to wait until warranty is up and Ill get to buy a new engine. Not to mention the service manager wont call back or communicate (unless thru text) and I physically have to show up to get any communication. No customer service whatsoever. So much for a $50k car. AGAIN STAY AWAY.
Experience was similar to any other auto shop. I really expected more from a Cadillac dealer. This was the first time I took my XT5 in for service and it was satisfactory. There were no perks to taking it to a Cadillac dealer. Car wasnt washed or vacuumed. When I think of Cadillac I think of luxury and white glove service. Not this time. Customer service was fine but nothing to write home about.
As we know in the service industry, people have good days and bad days. Can it be coincidence that you have multiple negative sales experiences with the same dealership? Unfortunately, this is a resounding yes.Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been loyal Cadillac owners ( 2 Escalades and 2 CTSs). Im in the market for a new SUV. My wife and I have visited four different dealerships on this rainy day and each of those visits went swimmingly. Our final destination was Thompson Cadillac. I was greeted by a gentleman and he asked could he help. I informed him that we wanted to test drive an Escalade. He looked at me and stated that the POLICY is NOT to allow test drives without a guarantee of purchase! What?! If I cant drive the vehicle, how can I make an informed decision on my purchase? I communicated this point and the salesman proceeded to ask if I wanted to SEE the inside. I declined and walked off. Little did this salesman know that were still owners of a Cadillac and have had service completed at this dealership. I call Sales from my phone and asked the woman that answered if Cadillac has a policy of not allowing test drives on vehicles. She responded no. Naturally, I was befuddled because this response was different than what I had just received as a walk in.The woman called me back and requested clarification on my request. I told her what happened and she proceeded to advise that due to the limited amount of Escalades, they are attempting to limit test drives to keep mileage low. Why wasnt that the response I got as a walk-in? It is obvious the training is bad, communication is missing, or I was judged on my appearance as a walk-in. Whatever the answer is still results in an impact of a loss in sales. Do you think a family that has owned 4 Cadillacs and still owns a Cadillac might be more loyal to get another one? Of course! Unfortunately, that will never happen with this dealership.Some may say this a one off situation and maybe give another chance. Well, this was the second chance. When we purchased our 17 CTS, we inquired about availability from this dealership! The car we wanted was on the lot. However, the woman we made the inquiry with NEVER contacted us again. So we went to another Cadillac dealership to make the purchase. There seems to be a disconnect with the Sales department.

I am from out of state and was in the area for a business trip when a check engine light came on in my 2019 Cadillac. I came in to Thompson at 7 a.m., and even though I didnt have an appointment, was treated courteously by Scott in the service department. He was able to get me back on the road, and gave me his personal number to call if I had further problems. Thanks to him, my business trip was not interrupted or delayed. Thanks!

If I could give them a 0, I would because one star is too high of a rating!!! I took my car in to have it serviced and was quoted $330 for the part. After the part was installed the service advisor comes over and walks me to my car and tells me that the part they installed was $1500. The manager was very rude and was getting an attitude was my husband and I. He proceeds to tell me that he can not give me the part for the price that I was quoted and my options were to pay the $1500 plus labor or they can remove the part. They were attempting to charge me 2 hours of labor but when I told them that I am not paying the money, they removed the new part and installed the old one in 30 minutes!!! I would not recommend taking your car for service to these CROOKS!!! That is not how you to business!!!

I had a good experience when leasing the vehicle however it has been over a month and I cannot get my permanent plates. Also, although the sales agent took my insurance information—he did nothing with it as I have since found out that I have been driving the vehicle for 1 month without insurance. I have been calling leaving messages regarding my plates and the title representative at the dealership does not return my calls. It’s unfortunate that what was originally a good experience is turning sour quickly.

Our wonderful experience started with Sean Riley in the service department. He has always taken exceptional care of us and given us good guidance with a difficult and some times confusing used vehicle we purchased at another dealership. He then emailed us a photo of a new CTSV you had in showroom, knowing we would like it. He introduced us to Charles, who is an outstanding wealth of information on the vehicle. He definitely exceeded all expectations. Finally we met Marcus, who was really fun to talk with. Marcus told us all about the incredible care that Thompson takes of its employees and what a great company it is. This made us feel even better about our purchase. From beginning to end, this has been a great experience.

Only give a star because I have no choice to give nothing. I have had the same two on-going service repair issues since June 2019 and to date still not resolved. The service reports are consistent with the following statements: can’t duplicate the issue (squeaky noise) and vehicle operating as designed. Kid you not.....obvious noise issues too. My answer to that: let the CEO of Cadillac ride in my 2017 CT6 flagship car and see if he agrees!!P.s. the person standing next to me at the service dept said his car had been in repair for a month. If you only heard some of the comments these advisors were making to the customer.

I had the paint and collision shop paint match a spoiler taken from an Ats-v. The painter, Chris, made the paint look immaculate. I highly recommend his work. Frank quoted painting at a reasonable priced after having talked with Chris to see how long it would take him. Considering that I purchased the oem Part from ebay, had I gone to the parts department the unpainted wing would have cost double what I paid for the part. Then I would have had to pay for paint. I came out saving myself about 2-300 dollars. Overall service was great... The receptionist Tammy was awesome to speak with. She handled my initial questions and when I had more paint related questions she handed me off to Frank. This group has great customer service.

Talked with a salesman all morning about a truck. Couldn’t get him to respond all afternoon just to find out he was selling the same truck to another person. Is place is a joke. Wasted my time here. Wouldn’t ever do business with this place.
They left off my valve stem cover and then said it wasnt on there and it was. Asked them to replace it and havent heard back come on it is a $3 dollar part and I may not come back. I have spent over $10,000 in less than two years and this is too much will start looking for a new dealer. This sucks to lose business for something as small as this.
