Deans removed my truck after a wreck and held it while I settled with insurance. I was VERY pleased with their professionalism and staff and I recommend them to anyone in that area that need a tow service.

Came to pick my car almost 3 hours after quoted time. I also called the office twice. The guy partially drove my car, which had a complete flat, on to the lift before using the automatic chains to pull it on the truck. Drove at a very slow pace to get my car to the drop off location before closing. I also had to write in & suggest for him to include pertinent information on the receipt.

Try to finesse the insurance company and leave me on the side of the road

Needed a 10x12 storage building moved from Northern Durham to Willow Spring. Could not get any of the storage building shops to move it so I thought about a wrecker service and I’m so glad I did. I googled wrecker service near me and sorted by best rated. Dean’s Wrecker service was the first place I called and the last! Very nice folks who took care of me and did a fantastic job. Storage building was picked up at 8:00am and placed in its new position by 10am. The driver even helped me set blocks under building and made sure it was right before he left. Driver was David Raynor and he could not have been nicer and professional. Completely satisfied and I highly recommend this business for your towing needs!!

Deans wrecker service is an outstanding company. They go above and beyond with their customer service. We were transporting a boat from NC to Alaska when we had double axel failure on the highway off quarry road. We limped in to the southeast YMCA and regrouped. Once we purchased a new trailer, Deans wrecker service did the rest with absolute safety, reliability and professionalism. Saved the day!!! My wife locked the keys in the trunk while out shopping, they came in less than 20 min and got the door open and we got the keys out the trunk. Now last time this happen we called some locksmith off of google at an 800 number and they wanted 200 bucks. Only 80 bucks from Deans and the guy was polite and helpful. Hopefully this won’t happen again but next time I know who to call. Two big thumbs up 👍

Outstanding customer service and they stand behind their work. I’ve been using Deans for 10 plus years and have never had an issue. On my last call to them they damaged my trailer. I called them and let them know. Within 36 hours, they looked at it and had it fixed. The guy that repaired it said he offered them 2 fixes. Been using deans for years, since I was in high school. They have always been great, treated myself and my car with respect. They even picked me up on 40, drove me to my beach house (1hr away) and then towed my truck to their shop. Very fair prices and always willing to go the extra mile to help out their customers.

5 star service!!! My boyfriend and I popped our tire coming from Raleigh back home to Durham on 540. We sat for maybe 2 hrs trying to get things worked out with our Roadside assistance until we decided to call tow companys from Google that were near us. Deans was the most cost efficient in comparison to the others and it didnt take them long at all! I wish I would have gotten the drivers name because he was super amazing. Took our minds off the fact we were stranded (and I had just finished working overnight so I was hungry & tired as well) as he towed us to the tire shop. Long story short... Timely, always there when they say they will be. Reasonable prices.

I was told on initial tow that my fee would be $200 dollars plus $35 dollars for every day the vehicle sat in the yard. I was also told that if I picked my vehicle up before the time of the initial impound that I would not have to pay that days fee of $35. When I showed up later that week I was told a completely different price. I asked politely why this was and the answer I got from the manager was that that was the price and it was set. They also added on an additional $25 dollars to my initial tow with no explanation, on top of unhooking my truck into a ditch in their yard where it got stuck. I do not understand the additional fees seeing that my vehicle broke down less than 3 miles from their yard.

David (wears knee brace/sleeve) is the most helpful and courteous tow truck driver I have ever met. Not only did he give me a ride home but helped me carry my belongings to my front door from my crashed car. 1st class service and person!

This is a tow company that thinks they are above the LAW! The heavy hauling driver of truck#14 a Kenworth with a Landoll 440 decides to use the center turn lane of NC Hwy 54 in Durham as a parking lot. Who cares about the law and safety of other drivers when you are hungry. Driver did this only to go to Waffle House NO other reason. Next time you see a Deans Wrecker truck make sure you are not going use the turn lane it just might be blocked. Oh the driver might take a casual stroll illegally across the street to abandon a running truck.

Great company with great customer service

I called for service on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get a tow truck out to my car within an hour. My tow driver, Perry, is a Mini Cooper owner and knew how to transport my Mini Cooper to my mechanics shop. He was courteous, professional and punctual. I had my truck and trailer stuck in a tight spot and I was stuck. I called Deans, told them my situation and my location. Jordan was there 20 mins later to pull my truck and trailer back up onto gravel and get me out of there. Coming through in an emergency situation with good timing. Great customer service. Some of the rudest people Ive ever met in my life.

Had them tow my BMW Z4 from home to a tire shop recently. I wasnt home; wife reported the whole incident. The towing person pulled it on to the tow truck from behind instead from the front. The cars front started dragging on the ground and scraped (not a lot but definitely some damage). The towing guy took pictures before leaving from the tire shop. After the tire replacement, took my car over there. Had to wait for 35-40 minutes but I understand its a busy place. The owner was courteous. He looked over the damage and said theres no damage from the scraping during the towing. I received no apology for the carelessness of the towing personnel or for wasting my 1.5 hours.

Towed my vehicle without my knowledge. Waited exactly 24 days to notify me of this occurrence. Total bill at the end was a crippling $1275. When I got to my car in the lot it was crushed in between wrecked vehicles on every side - up against it and scratching the paint. Broke my heart.

Their driver told us the tow would be 200$, when we came to pick up the truck they told us 225$ for the tow and refused to honor their drivers price. Very unprofessional, your drivers need to know your prices.

I didnt love the experience because my car broke down and had to be towed, but Collin from Deans Wrecker Service did a great job. They were very accommodating when I called to schedule a tow, then cancelled because I thought I got the car working, then later called back to reschedule. Very helpful and less than an hour wait.

Literally almost hit me on 147 north headed to an accident that took place on Ellis drive. Entrance ramp ending? Who cares, I’ll just drive on the shoulder and force my way in for no apparent reason. 147 was cruising, get over before the lane ends like the rest of humanity. Where do you find your drivers?

My car got towed from downtown Raleigh! I did not see a sign! It sucks that it happened because I was at work and had a long week of unfortunate events....However, I had a present experience picking up my car!😹The guys that worked after hours were very friendly. I wasn’t to mad!If I ever need a tow I’ll make sure it’s after 7 pm and it’s from Deans!😉

Horrible! Rude, incompetent, unhelpful. Had to shuttle back and forth from the police station downtown twice because they didn’t send me down there with the right paperwork. Consistently disrespectful and treated me like a total idiot even though I was in an unusual situation because my car was new and wasn’t listed as mine in the dmv yet. Got scratches on my car to boot, and then told me they were just mud

Great drivers but can be super slow at times. I think they need more trucks

My experience was with one of their drivers in a fast food parking lot. The driver of the big rig hauler was parked sideways in the parking lot at a local Bojangles one morning while I was in the drive thru. As I was trying to pull away from the window the driver of the wrecker pulled out and cut me off. When I shrugged up with my hands at the driver and said really? he went instant road rage and got out of his truck to confront me, trying to block me from exiting the place. I went on around him and he jumped back in his truck and kept as close to my vehicle as he could at the exit to try to intimidate me as much as possible, revving the motor and popping the clutch a little inching closer to me.Personally I thought it was childish and stupid, and if this is the type of people that drive around in vehicles with their name all over the side that they hire I will never again use them and recommend to everyone against it. You never know when one of their drivers like this guy will try to assault you just for absolutely no reason at all.

Lex was my towing personell. He was wonderful. Very thorough. He was there within five minutes of the approximate arrival and had the best customer service Ive seen in the industry. He knew just what to do and where to look when it came to a tow hook when my car wouldnt start, and furthermore put me at ease during the whole process. He even sent me a play by play when dropping off the key and vehicle to my mechanic (who had moved locations). He was polite and knowledgable and gave Deans the best reputation possible. I will always use them if and when another problem comes to light. A job well done. Im more than impressed. Solely because of Lex and the caliber of business I was so lucky to come by I am at ease leaving my car I their hands for transportation.

Very poor customer service, told them to tow my car to the shop and then for some reason they forgot about it, had to call them the next day and remind them and they charged for another night even thought it was their incompetence which led to my car remaining their a day extra.
