They have no business towing my car from my private residence because of tags, they are not even law enforcement. This shouldnt be legal, and then I have to pay them for nothing, gas doesnt cost $180. I dont know what kind of business they operating. Taking people hard earned money for nothing that has to do with them.

I called to have an unauthorized car towed from my designated parking space at 7:30 a.m. it is now 11:43 and they have not came. I have not received a phone call or anything. When my car was parked on the side due to no parks in my community, they didn’t hesitate to tow, and charge me $180. These towing companies, as well as the property managements need to do better. They will sign contracts with these towing companies to remove your cars unsolicited, but when you call them because you have an unauthorized car in your designated parking spot, they will not come.

My SUV was totalled over the weekend, the sign outside says open at 7pm. My insurance company is taking my car to a salvage yard and I was unable to get my things after the accident. Called the office and they let me know there was someone inside but I wouldnt be helped till 8am. I ha e to be at work the hours they are opened. No help, rude. They dont care that their signs say 7am-6pm.

Definitely predatory towers. Anyone who says their just doing the job their clients asked them to do has never had their car towed out of their own parking space. $150 is way higher than the average rate. But because I live outside of the Raleigh town limits, they arent subject to the anti-predatory towing rules that Raleigh put in place back in 2004 as a result of companies like this one. This is definitely an issue I intend to raise with the HOA and our town. I encourage the rest of you to do the same!

A hugely predatory company with shady and inconsistent practices. My car was towed from my parking spot at my town home, in the middle of the night, because I had forgotten to put my updated registration sticker on the plate (in all fairness, my fault that I didnt do so). That being said, I woke up to no car and no note about what happened to it. After calling the property managers and then Ace I found out that it had been towed and not stolen as I assumed. When asked why they didnt give me any kind of notification or warning - typically, they place stickers on cars in my community to let them know they need to update their tags - I was told it depends on the driver and what they want to do when theyre driving around hunting for cars to tow. So, if youre lucky you dont get a total tool that will lurk in your parking lot at night and take your car with no warning? I guess I was lucky because they dropped the fee... to $120. Wow.

Fake and just plain awful towing company ever. Don’t trust these people, all they want is money... obviously. They said that they wouldn’t charge me for two days because they were “short handed for the holiday”, which turned out it was a lie. Please do yourself a favor and look for other towing places.

I know that people think the worst about towing companies. But the gentlemen here are nice and courteous. They were willing to help us get some of our stuff out of our old car that they Did not have to do. And they stayed after hours to do so. I left my car some where I shouldnt have and it got towed by Ace Towing. It took me a month to get it out. But they worked with me and they were very nice every time I told them I was coming to get the car. Not all tow companies are bad.

They towed vehicle from apartment lot because the tag did not have a current sticker. Driver was told the tag had been renewed and a receipt was available but vehicle was towed anyway. Very discourteous driver. Seems to be a predatory service.

The worst towing company ever. We parked to get tacos after a wedding and they towed our vehicle before we even got our food. Ridiculous. There were several cars out there of people clubbing and they didnt get towed. Then we call the tow company and the female that answered was so rude and wouldnt even give us address of where vehicle was and hung up on us. Then the men at the location were more rude. It was just ridiculous. They charged $180 to get the vehicle back.

Never showed up!!! They said 30-45 min. After two and a half hours I called back. They said it would be another 45 min. But the guy never came and never called. Unbelievable.

This company is basically an illegal operation. They have all of 1 driver who is never at the shop because he is out illegally towing everyone’s vehicle. So when you go to get the vehicle no one will be there and they will tell you whatever lie they have to, to keep you waiting at their shop. The hours of operation for this place is a joke because they basically make up when they feel like being there. Just because your driver has left shouldn’t mean your whole shop closes. But great news the wicked witch of the west runs the phone lines, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy chatting with her lack of competence! It has always amazed me how places like this stay in business but then I remember the customer isn’t the one hiring the tow company, so to anybody who would hire this company to manage your property, get an actual tow company that will service your clients correctly!

A couple of weeks ago my car got towed by Ace Towing. While initially I was upset, as anyone is when they are towed, I was able to communicate with Reuben from Ace Towing and he was extremely helpful! They were able to compromise with me and provided an excellent customer service experience. Their job isnt easy but they were able to make the whole ordeal relatively painless. 5 stars!

HOA has a contract with this company that allows them to randomly patrol and tow vehicles without notice. I woke up one morning to find my vehicle towed due to an inspection sticker a few weeks out of date. They towed the vehicle in the middle of the night, didnt notify the registered owner, claimed to have faxed a poorly scrawled notice to the RPD around midnight, never reported the towing to the NC Department of Public Safety, and at no point made any effort to contact the registered vehicle owner, I happened to track it down myself nearly two weeks into a stolen vehicle investigation. It also took directly asking about the vehicle, including plate number, year, make, model, and color, and the location it was towed THREE TIMES on the phone after receiving evasive answers from to get them to admit they had the vehicle. This was likely to continue extorting parking/storage fees in order to file a lein and sell the vehicle for the fees. Their actions were predatory and they gave constantly made effort to shift blame to another party for their actions. Their handling of everything related to this issue has been unprofessional to the point of possibly criminal. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.

Have called them sevetal times to get a illegally parked car towed several time and no one has ever showed up. We have a contract with them for what reason? Well i should say we did have one but not now. We are looking for a new company as of today that will respond to our request. What a joke of a compan .

My brothers car got towed while he was parked in the visitors parking space in townwood. When he got to the place to retrieve his car the guy told him he needed a visitor parking pass immediately I knew it was bull #### I got family that live there and for years we would always park at visitors parking spot whenever we came to visit them. they should at least put a sign up or even advise the locals that live there that we cant park at the visitors spot I dont want this to happen to anyone else this company should be shut down for good. What also shocked me is that they dont accept credit card the only thing you can pay with is cash and when my brother asked for a receipt the guy told him that they dont give out receipts for me this company seems like a scam.

Most of the negative reviews for Ace Towing are from unhappy people who had their vehicles towed due to illegal parking. As someone who desperately needed towing services, my perspective is quite a bit different. On a cold November day, most of the companies I called were backed up for most of the afternoon, but Ace was able to dispatch someone within an hour. The phone receptionist was friendly, the truck was clean and in good shape, and the driver both agreeable and efficient. He even went so far as to discount the rate I was originally quoted since the tow came in under 5 miles. I would not hesitate to call them again when I need a quick tow in Raleigh.

I had a great experience with Ace towing. The man on the phone was very nice and empathetic, gave me a competitive price, and the tow truck was here in no time. I think some give bad reviews because they are upset that they have to get their car towed in the first place. Unfortunately, the wrong people are getting the blame. ON EVERYTHING these people towed my Car on what I felt was sum strait BS...I was pissed as fuuuq!!...But....I went sat down with the store mgr, dude only wanted us to establish the facts, instead of arguing, although it got heated at times, we focused on the facts. In the end we came up with a FAIR amount that wed both feel comfortable with. I honestly never thought focusing on the solution instead of anger would bring such a different experience! Thanks!!

I was towed because I parked in a marked tow-away zone (Kmart, Western Blvd) before a State football game. Completely my fault. Wasnt paying attention. Anyway, paid fee to spring my buggy from jail & was happy to see that the tow truck driver (Colby) was so careful with my car that he didnt even spill the open glass of tea that was in the cupholder. Nice! Not happy with the fact of being towed but I have to say it was a professional job.

This “business” is a joke. I called and asked to speak to someone, was told they’d call me back, never received a call. I called back to try again, same exact thing happened, never got a call back. My apartment complex had my van towed, on the 3 of January. But when I got to the place to pick up my van gentleman was kind calm respectfull boosted my van battery and only chargd9me for the towing and 2 days storage. He was keep on apologizing as an it was his fault. I am not saying the Towing companies are easy and fine to deal with but this is was my best and great experience. Thanks yall.

Really should be 0. They post signs all over saying to call them if you need a car to be towed at owners expense per the dozen signs, yet try to charge you for it and then claim they cant come out unless the HOA calls. Worthless company.

Called to have three cars towed last night because they were parked illegally in my subdivision which was causing issues with residents parking in their own parking spaces. They kept me on hold for 6mins, I had to call back for them to never show up. This is the company that is listed on a sign for residents to contact. VERY POOR SERVICE.

Its a bad day when you realize your car has been towed, but the staff at Ace Towing was friendly and reasonable. My boyfriends car was towed from my apartment complex even though he thought he had a parking pass hanging. When we went to retrieve his car, one of the owners walked out with us and saw that the parking pass was indeed in the foot of his car flipped upside down. It was my boyfriends fault that he didnt have the pass visible, but Ace Towing gave us the car back for only 30% of the bill. This payed the driver who towed the car, but not the company. To me this was a very reasonable negotiation since the pass was not displayed.

Had a great experience with Ace Towing. We were stuck on the ramp between Capital Blvd and 440 in the pouring rain. Ace was there within 40 minutes of our call and had our truck hooked up very quickly. He had to do quite a bit of maneuvering to get us out of the position we were in on the ramp and deal with the traffic. He did a great job! The truck was incredibly clean (he said it was new) and the driver was very polite and nice to me and my four-year-old son. We had broken down twice that day and I wish we had just called them in the first place instead of trying to fix the truck in a parking lot!

I was surprised to the bad reviews until I actually read them. All from people who didnt have parking permits or people complaining that they never got one from their apartment complex. Thats not Aces fault. I needed a tow recently after my car wouldnt start and had the number (ironically) from the Permit Required sign at my apartment complex. They were professional, clean, and quick. The dispatcher and the driver were very friendly. Thank you.

When you need them to tow some random car infront of your door they refuse and ask you to call HOA first. When you park on the sideway for unloading in a raining night they showed up just on time like a predator. Great job.

The place is nearly impossible to find. After having to struggle with a lady on the phone having the verbal prowess of a 5 year old with a mouth full of peanut butter, I arrived at the dead end of a road. Having driven around the block twice, I am forced to make contact with this customer service representative again. She tells me the address for a third time, then insists it must be at the other end of the street and there is a giant sign for Ace Towing. This of course is a lie. Eventually I find a tow truck bringing someone elses car down the road and proceed to tail them. They pull up to an unmarked white gate with a no trespassing sign. I flag the driver down and confirm that my car is Im fact beyond the void that is this nameless white gate. I pay the man $100 and discuss how utterly incompetent the dispatchers are. He confirms my suspicion that the call center is not even at the same location and that he doubts they have the slightest inkling where the cars end up. Having wasted over an hour in this endeavor, I have to say, the experience was not to my liking.

I watch this company from my office window sometimes, and I feel compelled to write a review for those who might be thinking about using them. Their drivers will often sit in the parking lot here and wait for people to get out of their cars, then walk over to the car and inspect it (Im assuming for a permit?). Regardless if those people are breaking the rules, Ace Towing is PREDATORY! It equates to waiting in ambush. Enforcing the rules is one thing, but I cant imagine what sort of sleazy people must run this place.Ive never had my car towed by them, but after seeing what they do, I hesitate to park at any business that uses them.

Predatory TOWING COMPANY. I visited a bar, just a couple nights ago May 3rd for a fight party. The bar sits in a shopping center with many other establishments and happened to have a lot of people there that night. The parking lot near the bar was full and I happened to park a little further away (closer to the International Food Store) ...not even 20 feet from the OPEN bar. I come out after the party at around 1:00 pm only to see my car was gone. Another car was in my parking space, so immediately I thought my car was stolen!! I walked up to an on duty police car, sitting in the parking lot patrolling - almost filing a stolen car report - until some guy yelled They towed your car and its $100 to get out! They towed mine too!There were NO SIGNS anywhere saying that the parking lot was International Food Customers ONLY . My thought was if I park in a parking lot where a bar IS, Im not going to be towed. The tow truck returned with someone elses car - and the driver first said The property manager sent us out here to tow. Which ended up being a lie and the property manager (Joyner Realty) stated they did not give them permission to tow cars. He was RUDE, hateful and inconsiderate. And told me that I could go pick my car up for $100.The police officer stated that he couldnt believe they were towing cars for that amount, without any visible signs, dissecting parking lots for establishments. He was even in disbelief. I called a dispatcher, which was some outside serviced dispatcher - and headed to some dead end street (crappy parking lot) to pick up my vehicle. The same guys who were driving the tow truck were there. They were RUDE. One of them told me he was the manager (which was a lie, ended up being a man named Andy Monday). They were rude, RED, and mean. I am taking this as far as it can go. I know discrimination of establishments when I see them. Im also a very well known writer in the area, and I will voice how HORRIBLE Ace Towing is and how predatory they are. Karma always comes full circle.

They are preditory towers. They towed my car because of expired tags. However I have up to date tags, but they didnt listen. Im looking into small claims court now.

I have never had to deal with towing yards. My car was totalled, insurance companies are doing their investigations. So i let it sit there, big mistake. Fees pile up and you have to sign over the title. But before i gave them the title, i wanted to take some items out of the car; like the stock tools that come with it, 2 memphis speakers and my CDS that were still in the CD changer. But none of those items were there. They pretty much stole from me. It was still my property. The rear suspension was also salvaged along with an air injection pump and part of an aftermarket air intake and who knows what else. If they get your car, please move fast and decide what youre going to do with it. I will definitely not ever recommended them to anyone.

I called to ask if they towed my car and they told me to call the police first. Which I thought was weird and honestly a waste of the police departments time. They did have my car. I gave the company my information and they told me someone will call me back. And honestly Im just confused. But someone did call me. So shrug.

Well Jeff. When they park outside and do not even give you time to give your guest a sticker from the homeowner there is an issue. We have to pay for each sticker. So therefor when we have a guest we have to go put a sticker in their car. The only visitor spots are taken by cars with stickers and never towed. My guests car was towed within 5 minutes. So this means I have to literally be waiting outside with a sticker or my guest car gets towed. Im glad you think this is ok. I love karma though. Keep riding through my neighborhood Ace towing =)

Dont use this company theyre out to get your money and not your business. They picked my car up and they didnt tow it to the place I had asked them too for two days so they were tryin charge me fees for extra days of it sitting in the lot when I was told by the tow truck driver that it would get delivered in the AM after it was picked up. The only good thing that i got out of this is one day in the lot was taken off thats it. Bottom line do a follow up on your vehicle if it gets towed.

This company towed my car from a parking lot. I came into the lot from a lot beside it but they only placed a towing sign in an entrance connected to the main road.(sign was turned 180 degrees away from me when I entered)I have no doubt that they do this unethical tactic of not placing towing signs properly solely to make money. Either way I hope the owners and towers meet the same fate of helplessness that they give the people they tow because of their incorrect use of towing signs.

My car was towed from my apartment because my apartment company had given me the wrong parking sticker. Even though it wasnt the towing companies fault or my fault, the apartment company (Preiss) wasnt going to pay for the tow even after Ace was willing to meet the company half way. Ace ended up letting me take my car home for free, even after Preiss wouldnt pay the $50.

ACE Towing charges the Maximum allowed by the City of Raleigh. 100 Dollars to tow 1.5 milesand 25 Dollars to impound a truck for 2 hours. Pretty Outrageous.

Garbage company, take a car and charge $185+ 50 a day storage, got to love the shady laws that allows this practice of price gouging. If you need a tow company find a different one.

Worst company in the Raleigh area. They towed a vehicle from my residence overnight, and towed the wrong vehicle! The vehicle they were looking for belonged to a person who doesnt live here, so they took my wifes car instead. When we called, they guy said there was nothing he could do and hung up on me.

Worst towing and management ever! My car was towed and I spoke with a lady on the day it was towed and was told I needed to speak to a manager that he wouldnt be back until Tuesday but said she would make note that I needed to speak to manager so I wasnt charged the $35 day to keep in lot. I said okay. So I called Tuesday and no manager was there so I called Wedne sday, and Thursday. Still keep being told theyre going to write my name and number down and have manager call me. Well Ive never had car towed so I didnt know what to do. Finally here we are at Friday I tell my fiancé to go this morning for me while I was at work, they tell him the total. So at lunch I go in and speak in person. They are oblivious, no idea what theyre doing, they apparently think I spoke to an invisible person, since there is no messages left. Oh and also they raised the amount from what my fiancé was told earlier. They said they werent sure who told my fiancé that number this morning but they remembered him. So clearly they remembered. They need to get their stuff together, i understand a lot of people wont like towing companies but I was in the wrong with my car since I had just got a new car at my apartment complex and was confused as to where the guest parking was at apt complex since its not labled. But I would have felt better about the situation if I would have actually been called Tuesday or even Wednesday. Theyre reasoning was quoted today by the (manager) managers never call you back well that is why your management is so bad, maybe you should train your workers not to tell callers that a manager will call them back. Anyways good luck to you if your car is towed by them. Dont waste your time calling the management will not respond to you for they clearly dont care about you and your needs.

This Is the worst towing company in Raleigh, I got into a wreck and the guy asked for my keys. I go to the tow yard to recover my vehicle and the company has lost my keys, this is after the fact that I already paid the money. The guy didnt want to cut the price cover the cost of the lost keys, or give a refund. I see the same guy that didnt want to help me out, towing another car ran up to the guy and said thats my car but it really mine he said I need to give him 50 to drop it. Theses are RPD go to guys.

They towed my car right in the front of my apartment at midnight. I had to call the police for lost car in the next early morning... The police found out that my car had been towed by Ace Towing for no reason... I called them they said I need a pass to park my card, but all the car in the parking lot, none of them did have the pass and none of them had been towed except mine... The apartment did not give anybody the pass for parking. So, They towed my car for no reason... Im going to lawsuit if they do it again to me.

Long story short some woman ran a redlight messed up my car and had this company come pick me up and tow the vehicle. When I come to see my car my brandnew bottle of cologne is missing. Naturally they have zero responsibility rights of a lot theyre supposed to be securing and couldnt even have the common courtesy to keep the cars locked at least mine when they had the keys in the ignition just poor business. And who steals god Damn cologne from someone else??

Me and my 5 year old decided to go to the parade in downtown Raleigh. We are new to the area and when i parked downtown i went to the first kiosk i saw and paid for the parking. (So i thought) after the parade i showed up to where i parked to find that the car had been towed! After walking a half an hour to find ace towing i showed them my recipt that showed i had paid and they told me that i had paid at the wrong place and that there was a sign that apparently said where i should have paid. Therefore they said they couldnt do anything other than take 100 dollars from me to get the car back. They had no sympathy for the situation which was an obvious mistake. Nor were they sympathetic that i was clearly not familiar with downtown Raleigh, or that i had a 5 year old with me that was tired from walking around downtown and hungry. They had no problem taking my last 100 dollars. And they acted like there was no exceptions. They didnt have a choice and tryed to blame the city! They couldnt even admit that the only thing at play here was their own greed and lack of compassion! There is always exceptions, but they were too concerned with getting their 100 dollars! Scum!
