I came in with a rather obscure issue with my car, when they could not figure out what was the issue they waived the diagnostic fees. I have used their service for many years and they are always fair and honest with their prices and abilities

Seem like nice guys but they lied to me twice after I double checked a quote. They told me they would replace my tires (day of an inspection) with the same ones but didnt have the same brand when I called back since the wrong model was on the quote. Also told me I needed new brake rotors, checked the spec myself and they were still only about half way to needing replacement. I get you need more jobs to make money but theyve lost my trust.

Very nice people. Wont scam you, either. Turns out I didnt need a part that they ordered, and they issued me a full refund for the part.

Im so pleased with my experience w/ C&C. Scott was gracious enough to squeeze me in to change out my break pads & rotors. He came into the waiting room to show me what fresh break pads look like and how worn down mine were and we had a good laugh. Professional, quick, kind. I had been babying my brakes for a few weeks, and didnt realize how much I unconsciously winced every time I used them because of all the squeaks. It feels SO good to have my car taken care of. My car runs better now at 120,000 miles then it did at 60,000 miles. These guys diagnosed the issues my vehicle was having after previous misdiagnosis and did a great job on the repairs. They made it easy to understand what was going on with my vehicle and what the steps were to make it run properly.

I emailed your service manager Joel on April 15th in regards to an issue with my son Josephs alternator. I emailed again on April 18th just asking Joel to email me back that he had received my email and that your company was in the process of reviewing as a knew you were operating with reduced hours. When I received no response, I called and spoke to Joel on April 23rd and he looked back through his email and told me he had received the 2 emails and he would get with the owner and get back with me and asked for my patience. Its been over 8 weeks since my initial email and 7 weeks since my phone call with no reply.

I havent met a more honest auto repair shop. Here are a couple of examples:1. I got a multi-point inspection and we found that the oil pan on my 25 year old Honda was cracked. Instead of doing the usual sales pitch, they simply said that theyll keep an eye on it at each of my oil changes and let me know when they think it actually needs replacing. I was only charged for the oil change and the labor for the check (~$50 total).2. A few months later, I came in with my engine light on expecting there to be a problem with the oil. This was about 1,000 miles before the oil change was needed. We come to find out that the fix was as simple as the light wasnt reset at the last change. Instead of taking it in and trying to wring me for every penny I have, they asked if I was having any issues, reset the light, and told me to come back when the sticker says to. No charge.I dont worry about not knowing anything about cars when I walk in here. I know that theyre going to be fair and that Im going to be able to trust that my car is in good hands.

Paid $1300 for them to diagnose my car before they would change a part i couldnt do at home. They replaced other parts, but not what i needed, and my car started to turn off while running. Took it back and they changed the spark plugs and sent me on my way. My car completely died the next time it shut off while running. Their diagnosis didnt work for me, they seem like honest guys, but i dont have the money to give them another chance.

These guys are awesome. Several years ago I took my old 95 Ford Taurus there for a second opinion at the suggestion of a friend. They shot me straight and ended up saving me about $900. I havent taken my vehicles anywhere else since then. I recently moved across the county (a solid 30 minute drive away) and still wont go anywhere else. They are honest, do good work, and are really accommodating. 10/10.

Ive had two kids at NC State. When one of them was having some weird car issues, I found this place based on reviews and location. They were great and we continued to use them for routine maintenance and any car issues that arose while they were off at school. They never tried to do unnecessary things and were always helpful and reasonable. Very convenient to campus too.

The worst place you can go to. They said my car is fixed but kept having the same problem and they just took my money and never wanna fix. This place is shady and very expensive they will charge you triple what others will charge you for something simple like a brake job.save your money, there are other mechanics that are way cheaper and do better and are smarter.

My wife and I came to C&C last week with our red 2013 Hyundai Elantra that we just bought used. This was our first car and everything seemed ok, but after 50 miles, we heard a clicking noise. We were worried because from the knowledge we had, it sounded like a problem with the axle. We brought our car to C&C which we knew of thanks to a friend whos been going there for years. Joel took care of us right away and checked it out. He confirmed that the front axle needed to be replaced and the front tires needed to be changed. We asked him to run a full diagnostic on the car to make sure there were no other issues. He was so kind and reassuring and he helped us out incredibly. We left the car in the evening and the car was ready the next morning. He took amazing care of our car and we couldnt be more grateful to him and his team and everything they have done for us! These are the only people we trust to take care of our car. Great customer service, great car service and great prices!

Our daughter has been doing business with C&C for over 10 years since she was in college at NC State. Our vehicle started vibrating severely on our way to Raleigh from the beach. Our daughter called C&C first thing in the morning and they told her to have us bring the car in. We dropped it off in the afternoon and picked it up the next morning. We needed new tires and a wheel alignment. They did both at a very fair price. They also advised us that our brakes should be worked on in the near future. They easily could have told us we needed that repair now especially since we are from out of town. C&C is a very fair and honest repair shop.

My daughters Toyota warning light came on and her OBD reader gave a P0306 code, which indicates a misfire in cylinder #6.On Thursday at 3:00pm I called C&C Auto Service (because they were close to campus) and asked if they could evaluate the code. They told me that it would be $80 to diagnose the problem. I agreed to that price. He told me there would additional charges, based upon what they find wrong with the car. I said OK. I emphasized to him my daughter needed the car back by 12:00 noon on Friday because she was taking a trip out of town. He said he would have it ready by then.On Friday at 11:00am I had not heard anything from C&C Auto Service about the diagnosis. I called and spoke to a different fellow who said he didnt realize I needed the car by 12:00 noon. He was very friendly and said they would get right on it. Twenty minutes later he called me back and said they confirmed the misfire in cylinder #6 was caused by a faulty ignition coil. My reply was, thats great! Its a simple fix. Then he told me that the total charge would be $386.00.I was flabbergasted. You see, as a hobbyist I work on cars, too. To replace the ignition coil literally takes 10 minutes, max. The part itself is $65 (aftermarket) to $125 (OEM). When he told me $386.00 total I questioned the amount. He replied, Do you want us to do it, or not? Of course I had no choice but to accept the charges because my daughter was leaving town. Twenty minutes later he called and said the car was ready.Overall - they were friendly and the car works fine now.In my situation I was forced to accept the outrageous charges to replace the ignition coil -- so I did. However, I will never use them again and I highly encourage others to do a little price comparison shopping prior to choosing them to do any automotive repair work. $386 to replace an ignition coil is unjust.

This place is great. I started coming here when I moved to Raleigh 4 years ago. I had an oil leak and other places had trouble diagnosing it or wanted to charge hundreds for diagnostics. This place knew where the leak was before they even looked at the car just based on mileage and past experience. Ive been coming here ever since and theyve always gone above and beyond to fix problems. Theyre honest about pricing and go out of their way to make things right. Last time I came in, they found a second issue after putting everything back together. Since they couldnt determine if it was something they caused or just missed the first time, they went out of their way to find a replacement part and didnt charge for any additional labor to fix it. Id give 10 stars if I could.

Accelerating onto 440, my car suddenly decided it didnt really want to work. I could force it to maintain speed, but when it came to accelerating... not so much. I barely got it off the highway and to a gas station. After a quick Google search, I landed on C&C because of their excellent reviews. They did not disappoint. I had my car towed in on a Thursday afternoon unscheduled and I picked it up Monday morning running smoothly again. Approaching 150,000 miles, I was afraid the repairs wouldnt be worth it, but their quote was very reasonable. The guys were nice, courteous, professional and fast. Id take my car back there in a second.

C & C has been my mechanic for several years, now. At first, I went there because it was close to my house. After that first visit, I started taking my cars there for everything, even oil changes. They are actually faster than jiffy lube, as long as you have an appointment...which most often Ive made the same day. Simply put: I trust them. They are always polite, professional, and courteous. Other shops have overcharged me in the past, so Im always a little concerned with that. Everything that they have done for me has been extremely fair and very prompt. They have given me rides home when Ive had major issues that cannot be fixed right then. They have allowed me to sit in the waiting room with my little dog for oil changes. I recommend them to my coworkers and friends every time they tell me of their car issues.

I am so thrilled to have found this shop! We brought my car in thinking we knew exactly what was wrong, and when they got it on the lift, they had doubts that we had properly identified the issue. They called before proceeding with a ~$300 replacement to express their doubts, and when wed decided to go ahead with a lite version of the replacement to be safe, they continued to investigate, finding the actual problem and repairing it. I cannot express how much I appreciate the thorough and comprehensive approach taken with my car, and I will absolutely turn to them for future needs.

Being a girl going into an auto store can be extremely intimidating and often times Ive been ripped off for minor or simple work but the staff at C&C explained all the work they did and didnt charge anything extra other than the agreed upon price. I am really happy with C & C. I Have had several oil changes with them and recently when my check engine light came on they fixed it at a reasonable price. The next week the Check engine light came on again. I took it back to them and they resolved the issue at no additional charge. They even gave me a ride while my pickup was being repaired. This will be my mechanic in the triangle for as long as they are open. Not only are they friendly, courteous, swift, and accurate; above all they are honest. The number of times they have told me I didnt need a service or recommended a cheaper way is astounding. They could have easily made much more money off of me over the years but chose to be honest instead. It must work though because I keep coming back and recommend them to anyone who I care about. They explain things to me without being condescending. They remember me when I come in. One mechanic even sat with me when I was looking to buy a car to tell me which cars on my list he would and wouldnt recommend. If you want an honest and fair mechanic, these are your go to guys.

Went in for an oil change and to fix an electrical problem in my car but was disappointed by the limited knowledge of the mechanics. I paid about $55 for the oil change along with a $80 “diagnostics fee.” I left with an oil change but they put no effort into finding the electrical problem in my car and even admitted they did not look for the problem. They said that the electrical problem was “out of their area of expertise” and told me I still needed to pay the $80 diagnostics fee. The fee was for a quick check of the check engine light, which can be done at Advanced Auto across the street for free, that told them I had low oil due to a leak. They also did not search for the leak or offer to fix it. The price for the oil change was decent for the area but if there is a problem with your vehicle that won’t show up if plugged into their computer, stay away. The staff was also friendly but I can’t recommend giving them your business. I would rather have rude staff, a fixed car, at a good price than a pat on the back, a broken car, and less money in my pocket. I ended up paying $144 for an oil change and a quick computer check, about 30 minutes of work. There are plenty of other friendly mechanics in the area that can provide good service and will put genuine effort into fixing your vehicle.

C&C performed an oil change on my car last year after it was towed there with a low oil light. I went to get the oil changed at another garage closer to home and they claimed the previous garage had cross-threaded the filter cup and therefore couldnt change my filter, advised me to go to the dealer and get it fixed.Instead, I brought it back to C&C where they showed me an issue with the filter cup caused by the most recent garage as well as showed the filter cup was actually installed correctly. They replaced the damaged (not by them) cup and topped off my oil....for free!Fantastic service and really stand up guys working there. 5 Stars!!!

Called and talked to one of the mechanics at C & C. He gave me straight up advice and told me honestly that buying a new car might be the best option considering my current vehicles problems. I really felt like my best interests were being considered. Great service, will probably be going to C&C for my future mechanic needs.

Extremely glad to say that this was one of the top auto service experiences Ive ever had. Often times its difficult to find a good auto service company because theyll either (1) charge an arm and a leg; (2) give you a list of 68 things that need fixing from $30 to $4000; or (3) give off an impression of inauthenticity. When I take my car in, I want a personal touch and someone to give me recommendations based on what THEY would do if they were in my shoes. C & C Auto Service did just that. Additionally, they saved me another $50 by suggesting a different course of action based on my small oil leakage. I dont think Ill go to another auto service company in Raleigh unless I absolutely need to

My first experience here was a few years ago. I brought in my car thinking something was horribly wrong. The mechanic was very nice, took me on a ride-along to try to replicate the issue after their inspection revealed nothing. The issue couldnt be replicated. No problems with the car and no charge. We figured out that it was a branch of some sort stuck near the wheel that, ironically, came out on the way to C&C.The second time, they fixed a minor issue with another car. The price was great. They did mention there was another issue that had to be dealt directly by the dealership and didnt charge for it. I know a lot of mechanics that will automatically charge for an opinion regardless of the outcome and these guys not only are knowledgeable but also fair.

Ive been going to C&C for 11 years. Only ONCE in over a decade have they come in one penny over their estimate, and it was because something completely beyond their control happened: the spindle crumbled when they pulled a wheel bearing and more work was required.Theyre wonderful to work with and have always worked with me to only fix the problem I came in for, while making me aware of potential problems and how soon they need attention—whereas other shops present them as needs-attention-now problems to rake in more money.I would (and do) recommend C&C to every single person I know that encounters car issues. If your car is driveable, its worth the trip no matter how far you are and, if theyre inside your tow range, theyre the only choice you should consider. Theyve kept my 1998 Hyundai Tiburon going for longer than I ever thought it would. 10/10 in my book!
