Best repair experience ever. They have the perfect high touch, high feel balance. They used all manner of communication from phone, to email, to text messaging. The repair technician called while he was in route to my house. Once there he was courteous and knowledgeable, identified and fixed the issue quickly. I can’t say enough good things about the entire communication and process. I would use again without question.
Leaking refrigerator. He determined what was wrong, fixed it, and fixed several associated problems. Very professional and cleaned up after the work.
I have a Master Protection Agreement (Insurance) on my dehumidifier. It stopped working correctly and I called for service July 22, did not receive the service until Sept 3 (6 weeks later). Result was the unit was not worth repairing and the service person said he was recommending Sears replace the unit under the protection plan. It has now been nearly two weeks and I have not heard from Sears about my replacement. Therefore, I would rate the total experience with Sears Home Services as Substandard / Poor.
We had an appt scheduled for July 30 and they were on time and professional. The problem came when they told me what needed to be repaired on my oven. The gentlemen placed the order for the part and told me it would be delivered to my home. It never came and I had to keep calling them asking about it, which I kept getting the run around and different stories. Long story short, its been a month and I still didnt recieve the part for my oven or any follow up from them. I asked for a refund, in which you would think they would give me all my money back due to all I went through, but still charging me for them coming out and looking at it.
I have purchased products from Sears since 1972. Two years ago I purchased a Kenmore Elite fridge. 7 1/2 weeks ago it stopped working on Friday. I didnt discover the issue until late that night. This was April 9. The next day I tried every phone number I could find in the brocure of the 5 year protection contract that we purchased and phone numbers online. I was only able to do an online chat with someone which was a waste of time. I called Monday April 12 and got an appointment 4 days later on April 15. The tech came out and said it was the control panel and that a fan had an issue. He ordered the parts and when they were delivered a few days later I called to set up an appointment. I then had to take the first available which was April 27. Another tech came to install the control panel and fan that had been ordered and the wrong control panel had been ordered. This tech diagnosed it as a bad compressor. Five parts were ordered. I received the compressor in a few days but the other parts did not come. I called Sears to see what was the problem and they transferred me to a department that searches for parts nationally. Finally all parts came and I called to set up another appointment. The first available then was May 18th between 10 am and 2 pm. At 1:10 on the 18th I received a message on my phone that my appointment had been cancelled. I called to see why my appointment had been cancelled and they said the tech had called out sick. I was told that the emergency scheduling department would call me in 2 hours or less. I waited 3 hours and no call so I called Sears back only to be told that they did not have any emergency scheduling department . Another day wasted! They said the first available appointment then was May 26!! I asked to speak to a supervisor to plead my case and not one person was interested and doing anything to help me. So I waited eight more days for the next tech. This was day 48 with no fridge. I held my breath to see if a tech would show up and if they did show if the correct parts had been ordered. The tech did show up and installed everything except the panel board which the tech said had been incorrectly packaged. But since his diagnosis of my refrigerator was the compressor he proceeded to put the other four parts on. This service tech was great. His name was John. I really dont have a problem with the technicians at all but as far as Sears service and scheduling department I got so little service that I dont know that you could even call it a service and scheduling department. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any type of service in 49 years owning a home. The protection agreement that we purchased covers lost food items in a situation like this. I have to go online to request a reimbursement. I certainly hope its not as difficult as getting the refrigerator repaired. Because of the above circumstances giving a rating of one star is being extremely generous.
Sears has been incredibly difficult to work with. There is no easy way to communicate online and wait times for phone calls have varied from 30 minutes to 4 hours. One of the two parts for my repair has never arrived and it has been over 3 months since ordered and since I have had a working oven. The repairman who came on the 14th seemed knowledgeable and said he had fixed the oven, but it did not heat when I tested it after he left. I have a Master protection plan and have found this to be of no use. Each technician or service agent I speak with gives a different answer that proves to be untrue in the call with the next employee. I would not recommend Sears repair at all.
The refrigerator I purchased at Sears stopped cooling sonI called three different Sears locations in Raleigh to schedule a repair service. The first scheduler said the first available appointment was two days later. When I asked if the service could be scheduled sooner, she transferred me to a number and nobody ever picked up the call. I called a different Sears service center and the first available date they provided was 9 days out. Again, when asked if there was an earlier date, I was transferred to a number where nobody picked up the call. In both cases, the representatives said they couldn’t help me with scheduling because my refrigerator is under warranty. What good is a warranty if the program in place prohibits you from using it. Very very dissatisfied with Sears service. Will now have to pay to get my refrigerator fixed.
The technician was very timely and polite, however apparently a bolt was not put back in place and when my son started the mower up for the first time since the service call there was a problem with the steering. The front tires went in opposite directions. I have tried to reschedule an appointment to fix the situation (probably a bolt go left out or something), but the only day my daughter-in-law is home is a Monday, There are no appointments until 5/15. My son said he cant wait until 5/15 because he will be fined by his HOA for his grass being uncut. So, he will get someone else to help him fix the steering problem. This is very unfortunate that I paid over $200 for this service call to have the mower tuned up as a birthday present for my son and this had to happen.
Our dishwasher developed a problem where the inlet water valve was partially blocked and not enough water was getting into the dishwasher to completely clean the dishes. I suspected it was the inlet valve and didnt want to take a few days to replace it myself. Went online to the nearest Sears Appliance Repair facility and ordered the repair online. It was Thanksgiving morning when I discovered the problem. I was able to schedule the repair for the next afternoon. Service man knew what he was doing and had the valve replaced in less than 30 minutes. The cost for his trip and labor was not cheap, but the convenience and speed of getting the dishwasher fixed was worth it.
Theyve come out about 4 times to fix my dryer (under warranty) but they kept saying it was fine. Called a different repair place and they found a bad thermistor in about 20 minutes. I have to pay them, but at least I dont have to deal with Sears anymore. Ive spent way too much time getting the run around. Cut your losses and look elsewhere.
Ignacio was really rude, bad, not friendly, mean. I do not put one star either. But I need to take at least one.
The repair man on time and very nice. the refrigerator was leaking water and filling up at the bottom. He replaced a line and said that was it, however, within 1 hour it started to leak again and i called never got a call back. He got my money that day. I called the sears repair again and told them and they said he would not come back but they would send oneone back IN 3 WEEKS Also told them when he came the ice maker worked now sometimes does would never recommend them
I have a Kenmore elite refrigerator which was purchased about three years ago the compressor is still under warranty they typically last give or take 10 years unfortunately 😭 mines did not so I had to put in a service called Sears which by the way took 2weeks before sending someone out to me....ok so I expected them to fix it at no charge well for parts anyway just maybe I may have to pay labor charge but I didn’t expect 300 plus $$$$$$$$$ worth of labor NOOOOOOOO 🤬 I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of because first of all they have your back against the corner because you’re desperately need your refrigerator repair like NOW then he offered to fix at a discount rate being the fact that there’s a compressor was still on the warranty but the tech explain to me to get the discount I had to buy this home house warranty package now to get the 50% off it was already going to be 149$ service call fee I continue to ask tech Terrance to explain to me what that mean and how the labor is being charge per hour or per job?????????? because this all seems a little expensive to me again being the fact that the part/compressor is cover under the warranty... technician Terrence had no exclamation for me he also insist in order for me to get the discount he had to be the one to call the office not me 🧐 I have since then called the Sears office asking the same question still no satisfaction to my question I am beyond frustrated with the whole situation 😡
Our service was booked over a month ago and the guy never showed up so we called this number and they said that there was a mistake in the appointment. He then asked us what was wrong with our fridge and said that he would just order the parts and come when the parts are here which we thought was very nice of him. He ordered the part yet never called us back when the parts arrived. We reached out to him about a month ago and he said the part is here and he would call us back( because he was driving ) about finalizing a date he would come to install it. One month later we never received a call back We never got any communication and we still dont have a fan fixed in our fridge
Sears has been out to repair our Samsung refrigerator ice maker five times in one year. They have replaced the ice maker three times, the next to last time they installed a new and improved ice maker, which started leaking again in two weeks. The refrigerator is a little more than a year old and we purchased the five year extended warranty. The salesman told us that after three attempts to make a repair they would replace the whole refrigerator if they were not successful. I was told the same thing on the next to last repair call when I phoned in to schedule another visit. We paid a good amount of money for the extended warranty and sears continues to beat this dead horse.I will not buy another Samsung refrigerator or the extended warranty especially from sears.Update:Sears has made good on the extended warranty & gave us a full credit for what we originally spent and we got a Kenmore Elite. It’s a 100% better refrigerator in terms of looks & a great layout for maximum storage and access to storage. The ice maker outperforms the Samsung tremendously. It’s without a doubt the best refrigerator we’ve ever owned.I would have given Sears a better review if they didn’t make us jump through hoops.I got the distinct impression that if the sales person hadn’t told us that if aproblem didn’t get resolved in three repairs, they would still be trying to fix it .
Ice maker was not working; repairman said it was because water to ice maker was turned off - did no other repair. The ice maker is NOT working still - so repairman misdiagnosed the issue and we paid the $149 service fee. Rebooked the appt for Christmas Eve, so well see if attempt #2 fixes the problem. Called the 1-800 number for assistance; the representatives talked a lot, said nothing helpful - the Repair Care line in particular was WORTHLESS - after a lot of talking, she could not confirm our 2nd appt and could only transfer us to another dept. Online system did not work easily either -it canceled the first rebooking I posted so we got pushed out by another day. Overall very frustrating. They tried to sell us the $49.95 monthly warranty program - with this level of service, why would that be attractive? Kenmore appliances are no longer the same quality as they were for YEARS, and YEARS, and YEARS.
Good Chat service. I will use again.
Repair man was very professional and punctual. I was provided with a window of time for the appt and was texted prior to arrival.Service completed which included the replacement of a part on the dryer.Charge for service is excessive. There is a charge for determining the problem and then, on top of that come labor and parts. A 5 minute job over two hundred thirty dollars later done well.
The follow up Repair Representative that came to our home on 4/16 was fabulous. Unfortunately he had to tell us that the first Repair Rep was incorrect in the diagnosis for the repair. I paid $89 for a diagnosis and then the part. The second Repair Rep was knowledgeable. The first not at all. I am very disappointed. I have wasted so much time, money and effort. Will never go to Sears again - who had been highly recommended to me.
Replaced ice-maker on Wed. morning and as of late Sat. morning weare still not getting any ice. We were told to give it 24-48 hours whichhave come and gone but still ni ice!
I placed the appointment almost a month in advance, providing the model specifications on my riding lawnmower. The service person arrived schedule, but failed to have the replacement blades with him. Was he lazy and just not want to replace the blades or did he really not have them? The blades arrived a few days later. Now what, am I supposed to replace them myself, even though I paid a premium for the service? I was not offered a discount or a return call at no charge! Knowing in advance what services you are performing on what model and having the required parts in the truck prior to the service call is critical. Dings for Quality, Value and Professionalism. (Update) Sears has subsequently cancelled/rescheduled the appointment on the same day, three times, to install the blades they had sent to my home. They dont seem to want to finish the job I PAID FOR!
Received two parts to repair washer. Supposed to come today to finish. No call
Made an online appointment instead of using my warranty company. Very please with the service and tech. Washer issue fixed without issue.
$300 for a fuse replacement. He took a multimeter, placed it on a faulty fuse and said it was going to cost me $300 to put in a $7 fuse. This is after he completely disassembled the dryer and put the faulty part back in. Imagine if I saw a broken lightbulb, unscrewed it and said yeah your lightbulb is broken, I can put a new one in for $300 and then screwed the broken one back in and charged you $80 to diagnose it.
The repair job on April 24 went off without a hitch. The technician arrived on time after his call, he knew how to fix the problem and had the part. Therefore, we were pleased with the service. It is unfortunate that both the washer and the dryer needed repair when the laundry center is only 4 years old. We suspect we purchased a lemon. The washer works better now than it ever did upon purchase in 2016.Our experience with the repair of the Laundry Center began In early January. The technician came on Jan. 8 and ordered 2 parts. When the next technician came on Feb 3, he found that another part should have been ordered. He ordered that part plus 2 more (one in case it was needed). On Feb 21 the technician was supposed to arrive but the visit was rescheduled because of a snow the night before. The snow was very wet, and the streets were dry when I went to the store on the morning of the 21st. The visit was rescheduled for the 22nd. Two technicians arrived and replaced the 3 parts ordered. While a repair job should not take almost 2 months to complete, we are pleased that the machine runs as if it has all new parts...runs better than it did from the time it was bought about 4 years ago.
Bad experience. Still have not found out why I was charged a diagnostic fee as he did not diagnose anything. He had no supplies on his van to do the mower maintenance I requested, his air compressor was broken, and he had to order the belt I needed even though I advised of the need for the belt in the initial call. I do not recommend.
Appreciated the prompt, next-day service for my microwave oven. Repair tech successfully solved the problem with parts on the truck. One year later I had a very bad experience. I made an appointment for dishwasher repair under a service contract. The earliest appointment was for 2 weeks later. On that date, nobody showed up, nobody called. I called and called and chatted on the website multiple times, trying to get my service. It took 2 more weeks for the appointment to be rescheduled, for another 2 weeks later. So, 6 weeks after my initial call, and 1.5 hour late, I received service. All that was done was to reset the machine by pushing a combination of buttons on the control panel, something I could have done myself if the manual had told me how to reset. So, a 6 weeks wait for a 5 minute procedure. I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 2.
Technician was professional and pleasant. However, technician arrived at the last five minutes of a FOUR HOUR window. I give up half a work day only to extend my repair another 30 minutes? Sears has all the contact info on its customers. How difficult can it be for Scheduling/technician to look at the days schedule and narrow it down to an hour and INFORM the customers of the revised estimated schedule?
The refrigerator is finally working after 5 scheduled visits from Sears Appliance Repair. This took over a month. I am grateful for the dedication of the service people and I know that they were as frustrated as I was. Maybe now all the right parts are in and maybe, maybe it will work now. I appreciate your diligence. I do not know if I will buy more appliances from Sears after this experience. I have been doing business with Sears for 20 years to keep good appliances in my rental property and in my personal property. l But Sears methods have changed, parts have to come from South Korea and the people who talk to me on the phone are scattered all over the world. I do not see how business can be conducted efficiently this way.Nevertheless, I am grateful to have ice and refrigeration again and so is my patient 91-year old uncle.
Glad to see one part of the old Sears doing OK
Very good service. professional and friendly
Over an hour late beyond the given four hour window, with no advance notice. Didn’t attempt to diagnose the problem only changed water filter which we had done numerous times - charged $119 and the problem returned the next morning ..next available appointment is 10 days away. Would not recommend.
This review is for Sears Home Services in general, as I dont know if my service was handled out of Durham or Raleigh. Regardless, absolutely one of the worst customer experiences I can recall. Appointment for my just-out-of-warranty Kenmore dishwasher was 1-5PM. Tech called at 4:25 to say he was on the way. He showed up at 5:40, no apology. He then diagnosed the problem for the $79 fee Id agreed to, and added another $190 for the repair, which took about 20 minutes. So this appointment was now cost me $269. on a, when new, dishwasher that was $610. I tried calling SHR and after several attempts and getting the run-around, was told that there was nothing that could be done, the price was the price, and too bad. NEVER USE THESE FOLKS. THEYRE A RIP-OFF. No wonder Sears itself went out-of-business.---------------Update March 2, 2021The dishwasher broke - AGAIN. This time after multiple tries to contact Sears/Kenmore Customer Service, was told that the repair would be at least $300 and that was all they would do. No standing behind the product, no apologies for producing a lemon, nothing. Absolutely the worst.
Repaired tire and replaced battery of Riding Mower, under extended warranty.
Repairman was very nice an efficient. But service I received was very over-priced. Will not be using Sears Appliance Repair again!
My GE dishwasher wasnt draining completely. I contacted GE repair & they couldnt come out for a week so I contacted Sears. They were able to come out the next day. The technician took it apart and found the problem (make sure you dont get pistachio shells in your dishwasher). He was very neat & put everything back the way that it was.
A technician came out to look at my refrigerator but the initial repair they performed did not fix the problem. There is (supposedly) a 90-day guarantee on their repairs, but that apparently means you are no longer a priority on their schedule. They have now cancelled on me two different times for the follow-up service. This is unacceptable to ask someone to be home for a 4-hour repair window, now for a 3rd time, and to still not have a working refrigerator.
Bought a washer and dryer that was burning clothes. They came out multiple times under warranty and said nothing was wrong and that I would be charged for further visits. It kept burning clothes, so I called as soon as the warranty was up. They found a faulty Thermoister and charged me $300 for it. Ive spent over 4 hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. They dont care and just keep transferring you. Its obvious why Sears was once king and now can barely stay. Bad Products, worst customer service!
It took 4 service calls to Sears to get our Kenmore Elite washing running properly.3rd service call included ordering a new circuit board which took 6 days and then the new service person indicated there was no problem with the circuit boards & rather it was a sensor on a filter. Very frustrating!!
It took them two weeks to fix my refrigerator, they have no sense of urgency at all. I had to go buy another refrigerator because I couldnt depend on Sears. Tech who came to replace the part was decent enough, however, that doesnt justify the need of refrigerator. Not too happy with responsiveness and scheduling of sears. Also Technician who worked on the my refrigerator did not connect the water line properly so when we turn the water on, water went all over my wood floor. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
Never showed up and did not call to say they were not coming. Zero stars was not available as a post
This place is aweful. Made an appointment to have them come and fix my parents LG refridgerator. The 1st time they repair tech was late coming but did show up. He thawed it out, took $99.00 and left. We had already done this twice to which it did not work. Scheduled a 2nd appointment next day for same day. Tech called my cell while I was on another call. As soon as I got off, call him back and he didnt answer. An hour or 2 later I receive email that we werent home and my appointment was cancelled. LIE! My parents have been waiting all day for him. Supposedly on my cancellation appointment it suppose to show a picture that he showed up. Not one on mine! So I question if he even did. Ive spent 2 hours trying to either get money back or another appointment. Ive been hung up on twice. Best I was given was the 19th. 4 days away. You CANNOT speak to a supervisor or anyone at Corporate. Everyone plays the I can help you but really dont do a thing but waste your time. This company is aweful and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. They took our money and dont have a bit of concern to actually do the job. And they should be very ashame to treat the elderly this way.
Great Service from Sears, On time, Technician very polite and knowledgeable on the repair. Job done right the first time.
Repairman call with 30 min,.notice. arrived on time. New what the problem was, has the parts on truck. Fixed cleaned up, very friendly, pleasant person to deal with
Necessary repair diagnosis was done professionally. Actual repairs were carried out quickly and successfully as dryer is now working fine. The serviceman was very polite and did a great job to get this much older - but better - Kenmore electric dryer running well again! Although the repair was rather pricey we were satisfied with the work and intend keeping this dryer - and washing machine mate - for a few more years hopefully.
They came to fix my refrigerater three times and failed all three times. I have been without a refrigerator for over a month now. When i call to complain, they put me on hold and eventually hang up or just never come back. This is by far the worst service i have ever had on any product.
Technician was very thorough in the PM and also identified a repair/defect issue bulletin that is causing an ice maker issue. That evaluation/repair was also scheduled by him and shared with me. Excellent service and we need more like him (and he spoke English perfectly and communicated very well).
We bought a new warranty through Sears, which turned out to be INVALUABLE; they have replaced an entire gas burner unit, the front panel and knobs for FREE since doing so. Kind of an inconvenience scheduling the work, we were given 4 hour windows and twice he ran late and once was there after 7 p.m.. But the end product was a workable stove that is probably 20 years old.
Very pleased with Mark, his detailed service and ability to get our washing machine repaired. He was very friendly, on time and easy to work with.
Initial visit was great. Tech identified our problem and set us up for a followup repair. Second tech upsold my wife on other items we didnt need and did a sloppy job installing them. I now have water pouring through my ceiling into a pot on the floor. Will never engage these guys again.
I have a Master Protection Agreement on all of my appliances and every year, I schedule a preventative maintenance on each of them to make sure they are maintained well. The technician arrived within the scheduled time range. Checked the settings and temperature as well as emptying the water from the electric water heater (bought on June 07, 2010) to determine if there were any sediments and there were none. The water was clean and clear. The technician was surprised too.
Sears thus far refuses to honor its warranty on my tractor, for an issue that is certainly not my problem. A tube from the crankcase leaked out all the oil the 3rd time I used it this spring, after checking and topping the oil first thing in the spring. A certified mower repairman said that it was a factory defect as the part should have been tightened properly. I am waiting for a 3rd technician from Sears to come out, look at my machine, and give it an honest assessment rather than try to sell me a home warranty or simply bow to pressure from Sears to not honor the warranty. I am exceedingly disappointed.
While the service tech installed the part, he did not stay to make sure that it was working properly. As a result, we had to call back to schedule another appointment because our Refrigerator was still not cooling properly and in fact was blowing hot air into the freezer section. We have been without a refrigerator since last Thursday, March 21. A tech is supposed to be here on Monday, March 25, and I hope he can fix the problem; however, I am rapidly loosing faith in this happening.
Technician gave me a heads up in plenty of time, was quick and performed basic maintenance on my washer. Also kindly corrected me about incorrect way I was operating the washer. Sears Appliance Repair has always given us great service and all personnel weve dealt with were courteous and respectful.
The Sears Appliance Repair technicians did a very good job and I would rate them highly for professionalism and knowledge. The service provided by the representatives at the call center that you have to contact to report a problem is absolutely atrocious. They will not listen and do not seem to care - even when your microwave has not worked for 8 weeks and the service technicians have been out 5 times (yes 5 times) and replaced every part they could replace. It certainly seems that the call center representatives are focused on wearing you out to keep you from calling again. Fortunately, the Sears Appliance Repair technician that was here on the 5th visit took charge and resolved the situation by having the microwave replaced. Therefore, I rate them 5 stars. If I could rate the call center, it would be 0 (or -5 stars if I could).
This guy was great. I actually got him out to install a mulch kit on my tractor, and after initially being quoted $200 for what was basically a 20-minute job, he only charged me $111. You may not be so lucky, as I guess Sears charges big rates for quick job in hopes of driving customers away for those types of services. Theyd rather do a full engine rebuild for $900.
On time as scheduled called ahead prior to arriving. Worked steady and appeared to be knowledgeable in this line of work. Too bad Sears is getting away from the additional 5 year bumper to bumper warranty on appliances. With the problems I have experienced with this refrigerator would not purchase another with the extra protection. No need for whole house protection but there is a need for individual appliances.
Paul was awesome! I was his first appointment of the day and while the problem was a quick fix he spent some time explaining it to me and also checked some other appliances to make sure we werent going to have any other issues in the near future. He gave great advice and was very nice and you could tell he just wanted what was best for our family. I will be requesting him for all our future needs!
The technician showed up in a Dish Network truck with matching uniform to do maintenance on my washing machine. He was a nice guy and explained how he is contracted with numerous companies, but it would have been nice to have been informed when scheduling the appointment that the tech might arrive in something other than a Sears truck/uniform... lots of scammers out there, hard to know who to trust.
Horrible- left with water leaking from unit. Repair tech came to diagnose a sensor issue. There was no trace of leaking prior to visit. After repair tech left, unit began leaking and leaked into the condo unit below. Calls to the local rep and to the 800 number were unproductive. Customer service finished the call with we are unable to help you at this time.Had to call a local plumber to come and stop the leak. Do yourself a favor and call a qualified local repair person and avoid Sears Appliance Repair.
Danny spent a great deal of time trying to correct the issue w/our dryer. He had it working when he left (and ordered a new part). However, after 4 days and and 5 loads of clothes, again there is no heat. We do hope Danny will be able to return to install the new part when it arrives, and that it arrives quickly.
I was charged $228 for under 1 hour of labor to fix a washing machine. No parts were replaced. Very disappointed. Tried to call in and eventually got an answering machine. No one has returned my phone call.
My wife really liked the technician. He was very personable and worked well in the space. Unfortunately, the main issue we called about is not fixed... the door still falls freely without being arrested by the spring.Update: Our technician took care of the spring on the door. Apparently, the part was sent to the wrong house. All is well and done. Thank you.
Diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. Gave recommendations for preventative care. Performed the preventative care on the dryer (appliance with issue) and the washer. This would have been a 5 star review if the service call hadnt taken a week from the time of the issue.
The repairperson was helpful, instructive, and resolved the problem. However, I continue to question the overload of appointments on your repair people. The first time, the workman eventually showed up at 6:30 pm on a Friday and had two more appointments... And I understand this is common practice. I dont value having repair people coming to my house after 6:00. This time, he was able to come at 4:45 pm... but had at least two more appointments. This scheduled is really not good business practice. So, I am questioning using Sears Appliance Repair in the future.
The Technician who repaired my dishwasher was terrific, courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable, total professional, please recognize him: 007047
Our service from out tech Slim was awesome! He found a problem that Carlos did not fix or even try to fix 6 months ago. Having good people keeps dedicated customers.
Our service man was very personal & very professional, a job welldone !! If I had to call back for any reason I would really like to havethis service man....
I would like to give it 0 stars but 1 is the lowest I can give. I scheduled a repair for my refrigerator through online chat. It was easy and straightforward. Got my confirmation email. The appointment window was between 1-5pm. Thats a long window but I decided to take time off work for my fridge to be repaired. No tech ever came. No call was ever made. Will not use Sears service again nor recommend. To make matters worse I took a day off for nothing and my fridge is still not working. Thanks for nothing Sears Home Services.
Repairman fixed the problem, explained why it happened, and answered all our questions. He was very helpful and pleasant
It only took one day to get an appointment. The repairman arrived at the designated time, was able to give me an estimate and fix the washer the same day. It works great. He had to reset the computer in the control panel, and changed the tubing. The entire visit cost 200.00. I bit pricy but the prompt service was worth it.
Fixed my Jenn Air stovetop and indoor grill. Had to come back a 2nd time because first part ordered didnt work. Needed an additional part. Scheduled follow up visit very quickly. Technician had a great attitude! And when the new part arrived, then fixed it very quickly. And I was only charged for one service call plus Sears discounted the parts. Very happy!
The repair person did everything to find the issue with our dryer. Apparently we are having an intermittent issue, the thing heated fine while he tested it. That evening it refused to heat again. Next morning worked fine. No issue with the repair person, dryer is possessed by a gremlin!
Jim (#500249) is VERY professional, friendly, informative, and knowledgeable! He puts customer service first and explains things easily for a layman to understand! I would continue to use Sears just because of Jims EXCELLENT service!
Jake, my technician, has serviced the lawn tractor on more than one occasion. He is very knowledgable and also gets right to the problem at hand. I really appreciate Sears Service department. They have always sent out great technicians during the years I have owned my riding mowers. Recommend.
SERVICEMAN CAME ON TIME AND DID HIS JOB, BUT WAS NOT FRIENDLY OR INFORMATIVE. HE DID NOT EXPLAIN WHAT HE HAD DONE AND OFFERED NO ADVICE ON CARE OF THE MACHINES.HE DID ASK HOW MUCH SEARS HAD QUOTED ME FOR THE MAINTENANCE ON THE TELEPHONE, CLAIMED THEIR QUOTE WAS LOWER THAN IT SHOULD BE, THEN GAVE ME A DISCOUNT TO ACCOMMODATE THE PROFITS.BEFORE HE DEPARTED (AFTER SAYING LITTLE OR NOTHING), HE TOLD ME A HIGH SCORE ON A SURVEY YOU WOULD SEND ME WOULD BENEFIT HIM.THE TWO GUYS YOU ALL SENT TO CLEAN OUT MY DRYER VENTS EARLIER IN THE WEEK WERE SUPER EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY, AND HELPFUL, BUT THIS GUY, NOT SO GREAT.THANK YOU.
Repairman came on time. Diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher . Ordered a new part and charged a nominal house call fee. Returned twice again. Did not charge for subsequent visits. Pleasant person. Excellent service as advertised.
The technician (Joe) was knowledgable and professional and refrigerator is back up and running properly. We were without fresh food section of refrigerator for approximately two weeks and this, I think, is unacceptable. Waiting for appointment, ordering part, and waiting for another appointment to install part. Not a good experience! The tech, Joe was the best and no fault of his!
I really cant say enough good stuff about slim the repair man that came to fix the leaking Kenmore Elite dishwasher. The dishwasher is only 3 years old, were the old contractor grade dishwasher we had before lasted 9 years. But slim came in the morning explained everything as he was fixing it also he was funny. Which made it easy to deal with.
The repairman was very knowledgeable and fixed the problem on the spot without having to wait days for parts to come in ONCE HE GOT HERE. Our window was from 1-5 but after waiting until 5:30 he was still not here. I didnt find out until I called the 1-800 number to complain that our window had been changed to 4-6! It was a little AFTER 6 when he finally got here.
Serviceman Jake was awesome. Really informative and knowledgeable employee. Completed repair in a timely manner. He found error in billing and took appropriate steps to correct the discrepancy.
The technician was highly professional and offered extensive insight. The most professional and helpful technician that Ive encountered yet. He even gave extra suggestions to help keep up maintenance on my washer. Great job!
We got next- day service and the repairman MENA F. Was exceptionally good. He took great pains to diagnose the problem and replace the smallest part possible, rather than the easy and costly way of a whole component. Kudos! I wont hesitate to recommend this service for its quick response and caring quality of service.
Very fast at the appointment. The technician was a sweet guy who explained the service to be done and a minor fix to a small issue. I would definitely use Sears again! Thank you!
The time slot for maintenance service on our washer, dryer, and dishwasher was 1-5 pm; Amman called at 4:00 to say he was on the way and he arrived at 4:30. He completed the maintenance service by 5:00 pm. He was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend Sears products and service.
Repairmen were polite, knowledgeable and on time. Scheduling the repair online was easy and I received clear and frequent communication. Replacement part arrived quickly. Smooth and painless, as far as repairs go.
Repairman was excellent ! On time, explained needed repair and cost, completed repair and cleaned up. Mower works great. Thank you very much for a job well done .
The service I experienced was horrible. I called was granted a window appointment from 8-12. First visit they show up at noon only to say after and hour we dont have the part well have to reschedule. One week later I have the same appointment window for 8-12. This time they show up after 1pm. The technician ask what was the problem. I said hope youre here to fix the problem they found last week. 3 hours later he had fixed my issue. It took him 3 hours because he kept you tubing how to fix the issue and was in absolutely no hurry. I finally told him if he did not have fixed by 4pm he would have to come back because he was way over his appointment window. I called to complain and the lady on the phone could barely speak English and could have cared less what o was calling about. Wil think twice before I ever call sears repair again!
The service was great, the service tech arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. He checked out our washer, dryer and dishwasher. Our only complaint - the dishwasher is not wobblier than ever and a screw fell out upon opening the door. Made us wonder if the technician could have done something to cause this, or address it upon his inspection. Puzzled.
Technician was on time. Helpful. Couldnt reproduce the issue but did try to reproduce. Didnt just try to leave as quickly as possible. Suggested that I get a surge protector for the microwave which I did. He had a small one on his truck. Always very happy with the Sears service I get with my master plan.
I give a rating if two stars because ultimately my repair was made, but it took 5 different visurs over 3 weeks. This is unacceptable.I will offer that through out the process your associates were for the most part polite and gracious. That was diminished by the fact that I would sit on hold, get transferred around and in one instance spoke with 6 different people only to be told there was nothing Sears could do to speed up the repair window ( this was after 4 visits).I lost at least 5 hours of time in the phone and 4 days of work waiting for repair people.I offer that the original tech was not given the appropriate resources ( training, additional technician and parts) to complete this other wise simple fix. I do not blame him. I blame Sears.I could never work with this company again and will share my experience.
From the call for an appointment to the 2nd visit to install the part that had notbeen ordered this service was terrible. The repairman arrived at my home at7:35 PM and left after 9PM with no calls/texts to indicate why such a latearrival time was happening. Spent basically two days waiting for service.I bought my appliances on the Sears Service reputation but will not makethis mistake in the future.
The repair service did a nice job keeping me informed of arrival time. Once Jim (500249) arrived his diagnostics and repair went well and was performed in a timely manner. I would use again, although, of course, hope I wont need to!
Jonathan called when he was on the way to our home; upon arrival he was professional. He was very efficient as he cleaned and serviced our dishwasher, washer and dryer.
Two stars is generous. I would not recommend Sears Home Repair. The technician had a 4 hour time frame (8 am - 12 pm) to fix our dryer. He did not show up until after 1:30 pm, an hour and a half late. Around 12, when no one showed up, I called the customer service line and was on hold for 30 min. I then spoke to two very unhelpful individuals (probably the worst experience I have had with any customer service department), one was even a manager. They both had a hard time speaking English so it made for a difficult interaction, which lasted close to an hour, for simply trying to find out when my technician would arrive. Upon speaking to the manager, she informed me that my technician was still at a previous service call and I was next in line. Sears did send a 25% off coupon for my experience, which I do appreciate, however overall my experience was poor.
Inefficient Scripted Customer Service ResponsesIt has been 35 days and counting with 6 scheduled appointments and I still have no working 3 year old Kenmore Refrigerator. Sears policy is to notify the customer via Email, Text, phone call regarding a appointment, well on 2 occasions there was a no show on the technicians and I sat home the entire day and was never notified that he was not coming. Of course customer service gave me the run around and said the parts did not arrive, what does that have to do with the notification, customer service dropped the ball. So I questioned what was the problem with the parts, they said it is “ IN PROCESS”, After 15 days, it is hard to believe a order is “IN PROCESS”, there has to be a issue somewhere, either on your end or the vendors office. I will wait on the line while you contact them and see what the issue is ( could be mishandled, back ordered, out of stock etc ) Customer Service refused to do this, I requested the contact for the local service dept to see if they can trace down the issue or as big as Sears is, see if they have the part on the shelf or in inventory to expedite getting the repair, Customer Service said they cannot provide that information again stated that my repair is IN PROCESS”, So I did get transferred to a supv cust service to see if she can find out where the problem is and she used her scripted wording “IN PROCESS” and that someone will get back to me. Well they have told me that 2 prior times that within 24 hrs you will be contacted, that has never occurred. It is not a difficult chore to track down why an order has not been shipped other than not wanting to get involved and being inefficient. I did receive an Email that said, you guessed it, same old script, your request is “IN PROCESS” and you will be notified on any updates, Customer Service needs training on how to provide facts and get a resolution to the issue especially if a so called order is 15 days and counting . Why wouldn’t a RED Flag go up ???? that requires the Service Dept to research the issue . They need to provide access to its customers, like a tracking number, email addresses, phone numbers to local Technician Managers. As of this posting Sears still cannot provide the answers on where the parts are lingering other than “IN PROCESS”. Who can I contact to get a solution, and not the runaround, How many more days will I be in Limbo without a working refrigerator ?JohnRaleigh NC
The repairman was very professional, courteous, and knowledgable. His friendly manner put me to ease immediately. He promptly solved the problem and he was able to answer all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Sears Appliance Repair.
Technician was great! Initial contact with Sears to arrange visit was not. I could not get confirmation sent to correct email after several phone calls. They were very rigid about insisting on a 4 hour arrival window which was very difficult for me to block off. Very limited choices for appointment date.Tried to get me to agree to accept parts by mail and repair it myself, even though I had a pre-paid service plan. Finally got the repair done and happy with results. I just wish they had better initial access experience.
Excellent! Our repairman was both knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job repairing our refrigerator. Very conscientious, hard worker. We will ask for Zach next time.
Excellent service, easily diagnosed the problem, and ran a full test on equipment. only complaint is that prices are more expensive than other services. $99 to come and then labor time is extra, so labor price becomes very expensive.
