Terrible experience. They asked to move my appointment to 30 minutes earlier but kept me waiting for 30 minutes after I arrived. Dentist stated he read my chart but tried to offer services that had already been completed. Office does not appear neat or clean.

These guys might be decent dentists, but i think they are either overwhelmed or making enough to not care about people... I had a terrible experience with the girls at reception. Unprofessional, and least bothered about you wasting an hour at their office. If the doctors charge you for their time, even if it is 5 minutes, no way they can take others for granted. I do not recommend!

If I could give zero or negative stars I could. I walked into my appointment and didn’t have a mask. I asked if I could get a mask because they are supposed to provide them if you don’t have one and I was told to go buy a mask. I will NEVER be back there again. This is not the first time I’ve experienced problems with the front desk being rude and unprofessional

Love this place! The front team was very informative and instructive on how to handle my dental issues and payment plan. Also recommended to see Dr. Abe since he is always helpful. Definitely come back this dental house.

Inattentive office. I had a tooth pull and during the visit the equipment kept malfunctioning and the Dentist kept getting up to see other patients. Then i told the Dentist the prescription he was giving me wouldnt work, but he was very dismissive and didnt listen to me. When i tried reaching the office later in the afternoon because the pain was really extreme and the pain meds werent working no one picked up, even though it was during open hours. I called the after hours number and it just kept going to voicemail. I left several voicemails and no one ever got back to me. So basically I had an invasive procedure and this office did not provide any aftercare at all and i was left suffering and figuring out what to do about the pain by myself.

The worst dentist ever I dont recommend it to nobody in the world when you guys see looks Dental run away people in there ruin your life.... 😵😵 Never had any problems with my kids until I went in this place horrible not professional and the assistant that was working in the same room the dentist divorce taken care of me she was watching TV she wasnt even pay attention of what the dentist was saying to her not made it even worse theyre just there for imagine nothing is perofesional.... If it was a possibility I would have been on minus 10 starts 🤮🤮🤮

The woman I see here is amazing. I have severe anxiety and she always makes sure to let me stop if I need to. She explains the whole process to me to ease my mind. I haven’t been to a dentist in over 10 years until now. I’m finally starting to get my confidence back!

Ive never felt better about walking into a dentist office in my whole life. I came here with some of the most severe dental problems imaginable. I felt embarrassed and afraid. But since coming here so much progress has already been made. The staff is amazing all around. Each and every one of them made me feel better about my situation and I left after every appointment with hope that things were only going to get better. Im still in the process of having the work done, and every time I leave this place I leave better off than when i arrived. The Dr does amazing work. They are welcoming, profession and down to earth, more importantly they are willing to work with me, and are compassionate in doing so. I am absolutely grateful I found this place. Ive asked everyone in my family and my girlfriend to start coming here because its just so worth it.

Dr Abe was very professional. Very friendly, very helpful, very courteous staffs. The facility is clean and modern. They have the latest dental technology.

Went for many years to this dentist. After several problems with my teeth and many consultations for services I didnt actually need I decided to find a new dentist. They told me I had years of tartar buildup which seemed so drastic to me because I saw lux dental for the last time less than 6 months ago. I have had series concerns with the way they have handled my teeth and im very glad I switched. The xeptionists are very nice but the doctors are very rough with the teeth. Theyre also not the cleanest of places. Id run

My experience at Luxdental has been life changing. My previous dentist was not as good and professional as the ones they have here. They really care for their patients, they rearranged their schedule to fit me in for an emergency appointment. Great service! Would recommend it to anyone.

They were sincerely helpful and knowledgeable about dentistry. The receptionist was warm, kind, and welcoming. The dental assistant made me comfortable while she was taking x-rays. She did not rush me and was also compassionate and considerate. I believe her name was Lee. She is amazing! The dentist was also very knowledgeable and listened to what my thoughts and decisions were. He complied and did not force any extra work done urgently to be able to bill my insurance company more money as other dentist offices do. I highly recommended this place for any and all types of dental work!!! This team is amazing and when Lee finishes school to become a dentist she is going to be an amazing dentist! I was patient at this dental practice for a number of years and everything went well I found myself a little frustrated in the beginning it seemed every time I went in which was only twice a year there was always a new dentist they could never seem to hold on to any dentist they came and went very frequently.I shouldn’t be too surprised it’s kind of a tough neighborhood with tough clientele a lot of alcoholics past drug users. I tolerated because it was close to home and they excepted my insurance which they were the only one in Quincy who did.So after spending a total of 6 1/2 almost 7 years at this dental practice I became ill a few weeks before a scheduled appointment called to tell them I was ill and would not make that appointment. My phone records showed that they called seven or eight times through the course of my illness because I was sick home with a fever couldn’t answer the phone and really didn’t care to answer the phone.My chest cold turned into pneumonia I ended up in the hospital for eight days and then back at home getting well again for almost 2 weeks.After finally feeling well enough to call back the dentist and see about an appointment I was never called back left three subsequent messages was never called back.I Thought I would put it in writing a thoughtful letter asking if they would please take me back after an illness and that I had been hospitalized. 3 weeks went by I received absolutely no response I thought about calling them but why bother they obviously didn’t want to have anything to do with me because they considered me a health risk?When you’re in Quincy Massachusetts and you’re looking for dental care of through the Ryan White Dental act don’t bother with Lux Dental as long as you can come to your appointments great but if you get sick and hospitalized and they can’t bill or see you they lose business and they lose money and they don’t like that so they put money before patient’s health that’s very sad in my book.I managed to find a new dentist I have to go in the Boston but that’s OK I imagine a better class of Dentist in a world class city like Boston. Heck if they can afford the rent in Boston they must be better Dentist rightI guess all in all I have to say thank you to Lux Dental Quincy by you ignoring me not returning my phone calls or my letters it forced me to find an even better dental practiceOh by the way I sent a copy of this review to the Ryan White Dental act program in Boston and the public health department letting them know about this and that I feel that I have been wronged. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel comfortable and handle your dental situation with privacy and comfort. However the chairs in the waiting room are long overdue from being retired.

Place is gross. When your sitting in the chair look up and see all the nasty in the vents in a medical facility during a pandemic. Never again I want to get tested just for being there

They were able to fit me in there schedule without an appointment for an emergency visit. Girls working front desk very accommodating and nice. As were the nurse and dentist! Would recommend this place to anybody.

Several years ago I had a dental emergency on a Sunday and I found Lux Dental (I have never heard of a dentist that worked on Sunday!) they were able to fit me in right away and I have been a patient ever since. I have had several fairly complex procedures at Lux and have had great results. Dr. Abe is wonderful! He is perfectionist with his work, passionate about his practice and makes an effort to make you feel comfortable (especially to those of us that are anxious patients!). I have been both the Quincy and Cambridge offices and I would recommend either office.

I have (unfortunately) required a great deal of dental work during the past two years. Dr Abe and his team have taken good care of me, including several specialist treatments,. They explain the reasoning behind their recommendations well as well as the costs involved. I do wish that the TV in the Quincy waiting room was on silent however.

Everyone here is extremely nice and helpful from the front desk to the hygienist to the dentists themselves. They take the time to explain everything to you and answer any questions. I’m very glad I found them and use them as my dentist.

All the staff at this dentist office is very kind and caring. From the front desk to the doctor and assistants. They were very accommodating and professional. First time patient, I came in with a severe toothache. Didnt wait long at all to be called in. After the X-rays, the doctor informed me of my options and recommend the proper route to fix the problem. Was not pressure to do something extra. I highly recommend to give this place a try for your dental work.

If I can give a 0 star rating, I would. My 8 year old son has had a severe tooth ache in which I was informed he needed a crown. The second step was a consultation, for what? Idk if I was already told what needed to be done. I show up the day of the consultation, 45 minute wait for a conversation. After waiting that long, I approached the receptionist and asked why it was a consultation if I was already told the tooth needed a crown. Well, it was for me to simply consent for nitrous. This is a HUGE waste of time, something I couldve been asked the day he was told he needed a crown and BOOK the appointment instead of having my 8 year old son in pain for weeks. Then the receptionist informs me that the doctor is there ONCE a week? Whaaaat????? They expect me to wait a month and a half for a tooth that has risk of infection. Ive been coming to that location for years and last couple of months, the service and compassion is nonexistent. NEVER again, switching dentists asap.

Kind and professional. They are patient oriented. I have always been treated in a most friendly and respectful way. I have never been pressured to acquire services or products that I did not need. On the contrary, I have always been honestly advised about the best options. I can trust them, and this is fundamental for me.

Today, I had my first appointment with Dr. Cameron Schoettler. He was very nice, patient, knowledgeable and professional. A dental visit can be a scary experience but not with Dr. Schoettler. His smile and gentle manner put me at ease and I experienced no pain or discomfort. I highly recommend him.

I have been coming to this practice for a couple of years. I also read most of the reviews, good and not so good. Ordinarily, I dont know what to believe when I read reviews, especially for a doctor or dentist, though perhaps I should!However, I can honestly say, I love going to this dental practice. Everyone is friendly and professional and Im excited that I will be moving into a new apartment, less than 5 minutes away!

They have been seeing my daughter for 4 years twice a year and they didnt notice she had a serious defect with a baby tooth having a root even though they made every time an X-ray (to charge more the insurance company I guess). Visits were quick (and useless) with a doctor jumping between patients like on an assembly line. Overall they DID NOT see something OBVIOUS they should have seen a long time ago and because of that my daughter is now with braces that would resolve ONLY partially her problems!I spoke with a girl at the reception she said someone would call me to investigate the issue but that guy is probably busy with something more important for him than the health of my daughter. Plenty of marketing but nothing more, a cheap and very low quality practice. If you want to keep your kids healthy thats definitely not the place to go!

They have good service with doctor-to-patient care, but they are VERY hard to reach on the telephone, and do not have the knowledge or resources to answer your questions. Each time I call, I either do not get my phone call answered or get put on hold, and the call never gets picked up. It is very frustrating!!

I got a tooth pulled today. I have severe anxiety so walking through the door for the first time was hard. Aside from being terrified to get my tooth pulled I had a great experience, the dentist was kind and the dental assistant was awesome. She put on a tv show of my choice and made me feel comfortable.

I have been going to Lux Dental for many years and Dr. Rooz has always done a great job with any of the procedures done. Sometimes he finds issues with the condition of my teeth and on most occasions he is able to do those fixes the same day which is very convenient. Loan and Francis from the reception desk are always courteous and make it a point to greet you as you come in.

My son had a 12pm appointment we got there at 11:50am were not called back until 12:30 then spent awhile with them trying to fit the adult x-ray machine in a 5 year olds mouth before the dentist stepped in and said use the full head machine thats much easier to adjust. We spent another 30 min waiting for the dentist to look at the x-rays before the hygienist finally cleaned his teeth almost 2hrs that. NEVER AGAIN. Besides the sketchy vibe from the location go to one of the other lux locations this one is horrible

Dr Shu is an helpful，patient dentist. He gives me many useful tips for me to releases my tooth pain symptom. The waiting period is very short. the receptionist and assistants are very friendly. highly recommend.

Save your time and sanity and stay away from this office!Literally the worst office you could go to. Ive been with them for years and Im fed up. They always have patients sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. Theyve canceled and moved appointments without notice. The last straw was my daughter waiting (still waiting)over a year to get braces. They keep telling me that everything is all set only to find out that insurance needs xrays and paperwork. Then the front end people tell you someone will call you back, and surprise surprise, NO ONE CALLS.

Dentist was nice and seemed like he would have been great to work with. Unfortunately the incompetent admin staff screwed up the insurances. I would have liked to continue as a patient there at the Quincy office, but the front office ruined my experience. I would not recommend going here.

Judi Stanton, Quincy, MaI arrived at 5:30 to be fitted for my partial that broke the Friday before. To my surprise, I was put with Dr. Abe, as my dentist was not working the Quincy location that day. I can’t express how happy I was. I met him 4 years ago under the same circumstance, another emergency that he took over. He spent so much time fitting my denture, making sure that I was comfortable with the fit, then going over his recommendations of what I should do. Kudos to Dr Abe for turning what could have been a stressful visit into a pleasant one. Lux Dental also employs the greatest staff, they are so accommodating and treat everyone like family. I would recommend Lux Dental to everyone.

My last appointment was on Nov, 18 at 12:00 PM, I reached there at 11:58 AM.Then I have to wait till 12:30 PM to remind them that I am HERE for my appointment at 12:00 PM.Then someone took me inside and did all preparation(like setting things) and told me that doctor will be in within 2 minutes, there I also I waited till 12:50 AND NOBODY came. that made really pissed...and I just got out from there and asked receptionist that what is the problem, she said I dont know why doctor didnt come, so this is the service I got ... NO CARE FOR OTHERS TIME

Went in for tooth extraction and they said it wasn’t infected sent me home to wait a week, then I go in a week later and they say it’s infected and have to come back again, even I knew it was infected the first time but they didn’t care, just want your money, they are completely incompetent, stay away, they shouldn’t even practice

Brought my 4 and 6 year old here for the first time. The staff and dentist was awesome. They know how to deal with kids, making them feel at ease. They have Tvs and Netflix in front of all their dental chairs so the kids can watch and get distracted. Very nice, I do recommend!

Lux dental is fantastic. The facilities are clean, the staff are kind and helpful, but Dr. Abe is the best. I have been a loyal patient for over 10 years and followed Dr. Abe across 3 practices. I first met him when I went to have my teeth whitened. After reading the disclaimer I was concerned. However, Dr. Abe was very patient, didn’t pressure me and helped me research the risks online. I decided to have the procedure and everything went fine. However, I can’t imagine any other healthcare professional providing that level of care or treatment and that visit won my loyalty.Not only are Dr. Abe’s bedside manner and medical judgment excellent, but his dental work is fantastic. Dr. Abe is a perfectionist and it shows in the quality of his work. I have had several fillings and even a partial crown. All the procedures went smoothly and all the work has held up well over the years.The whole Lux Dental practice really gets customer service right. They offer patient visits outside the normal 9-5 hours and on weekends making it easy to schedule an appointment. They also go over the billing before you have any procedures so you know what the insurance company will or won’t pay for.I recommend Dr. Abe and Lux Dental to all my friends and will continue to be a loyal patient.

I wanted my teeth to look like those Hollywood starts you see on t.v. who have perfectly white teeth. Well now my teeth are Hollywood White!Dr. Abe also suggested I get a mouth guard because I was grinding my teeth when I slept. Now my teeth are not only white, but they are healthier now that I have my mouth guard.

Went out of their way to ensure I could have an appointment, but unfortunately my car broke down 40 miles away thanks to damaged tire from town fare.Staff at lux was more than understanding and helped arrange another appointment at another site.

I had 3 of my children going here. The dentists change all the time. They lose the appointments that they make me schedule 6 months in advance. They run late. Theyve been rude when Ive explained that they will want to keep me in the room if they want to get an X-ray. While there have been some great technicians and dentists, the overall experience is sketchy and unorganized. I dont recommend this place even a little bit.

I have been a patent of the Quincy office since it opened and always had a good experience untill today. I Was in this afternoon to have a crown cemented back on after it came loose. I had the same problem a couple years ago with the same crown and it was cemented back in place no problem for a fee of $115. I felt this was a bit high then since they did the work in the first place and should have some kind of warranty but fair enough as I was taking up some time. So today after the dentist looked at the crown and the tooth and said it was fine and just need a quick re cementing I was told it would be $300 !! After explaining why I felt thats a bit much for something that takes 10 minutes they agreed to take $30 off. I didnt have alot of options so I paid it and 10 minutes later tooth was fixed. I understand prices go up but that ridiculous . I feel they were taking advantage of my situation and I wont be returning.

I felt very welcomed when I arrived and the customer service was great. The cleanliness was well maintained and the the service was quick and easy.

The Dentists are ok but the management left me waiting over 6 weeks and never submitted the authorization to my insurance company for a route canal. They kept scheduling new appointments for it & calling me to reschedule then cancelling me the night before the route canal again. I finally after 6 weeks put in a grievance against them and went to a new dentist.

My mother paid $150.00 for an exam. She received an xray. She desprately wanted a cleaning. He told her NO! She knows of her dental issues, but how dare he refuse to clean her teeth! She needs additional work done, he said nope..its like putting a bandaid on deeper issue. A senior citizen on a fixed income was told no..so she went all the way to Southie to Dr. Liu who was more than kind. He was less expensive and cleanned her teeth. She will go back and be treated with dignity and respect.Shame on DR. WINGER..Lux in Quincy..ALL SET!

The guy fixed my teeth smell terrible with cigarret. He did the filling wrong so everytime I drink, it feels a sharp pain. My brother in law is dendist in different state, and he said the guy did it wrong. I came back to the place and tell them all that. The guy took everything back out and did the felling the way is supposed to be.Liars anf not a safe place for my teeth.Do not go here

DON’T DO THIS; DON’T LIE TO YOUR CLIENTS!Dear Head Dentist,I am so hurt that I don’t even know how to express to you my dissatisfaction with your office.Explain to the “señoritas” that answer your office phones and schedule appointments that this type of procedure is NON-ETHICAL.As a mother, I was desperate looking for an Endodontist for my daughter who was in extreme pain. My daughter’s dentist had referred her to the practice Endodontist at her usual Dental office, but the earliest appointment they could offer was July 9, 2015. Since she was under so much pain, and had been for several days, I, on June 19, 2015, called Lux Dental in Quincy to make an earlier appointment. Then I explained to the “señorita” that answered the phone my daughter’s situation. I told her that my daughter NEEDED an Endodontist for which she responded with the fact that “she had a slot open for June 20, 2015 at 3:00pm.”, so I quickly made the emergency appointment for my daughter to see their Endodontist at Lux Dental in Quincy. Then I continued to cancel our Endodontist appointment with our regular dental office for July 9, 2015 because I was promised to see one that Saturday….When we got their the technician and dentist did a routine checkup, X-rays included. And guess what?! There was NO ENDODONTIC AVAILABLE IN QUINCY! The secretary then told me I would have to make an appointment all the way in CAMBRIDGE for JULY 11, 2015!!!! She then said “It’s not that long a ride.”THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I brought my son here for an emergency visit. I told them on the phone that his crown fell off and needed to be recemented. Very bad service, I work at a dental office and used to refer all my pediatric patients to them but they have lost my business and referrals
