WOW, what a fantastic group of stylists. I have never seen such a group of knowledgeable, enthusiastic employees in my life. Their pricing is more than fair and they make you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I was the only man in there but they assured me that they could get me in while the other ladies getting color were processing. True to their word, I was in and out quickly and they even shampooed my hair. That alone was worth the money, it was more like a 10 minute head and neck massage. My wife goes there all the time now too. She has long curly hair just like the manager Katie does so she loves her. She colors her hair every 6 weeks or so and the owner Nikki does her manicures and pedicures. We will never go anywhere else. I was shocked to see a negative review on here. I know they brought in all new talent recently and let the others go. Sounds like Connies review may be coming from a disgruntled former employee because we have had nothing but great experiences there. We cant wait for our hair to grow so we can go back.

Nikki and Madison were fantastic. My daughter and I had Mani-Pedis. They made us feel right at home and the nail art was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Ive been delighted with Niki, the owner and nail technician, and Sheila who cuts and styles my hair at Tropical Trends. Also, there is plenty of convenient parking, and a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Ive tried a few places in town, but like them the best!

Got a hair cut with KathyThen she rolled up my hair for a perm.She rolled accurate, strand by strand, real tight and fast.Love it. Love my hair cut and my perm.She did a real fine job, I will go back to her.I am really picky with my hair and I will recommend her to everyone.Great job, thank you Kathy.All employees are very friendly there.You can get your mani/pedi done also.

Katelyn is a very talented colorist. After I moved to Punta Gorda from California, it took me 2 years and 5 stylists to find someone who could highlight my hair in a way that looks natural. Her prices are very reasonable and I always leave happy.

I went to Tropical Trends because a friend of mine had gotten her hair cut there and I liked it. I had called ahead of time to see what a haircut cost and was told $22, which was also what was posted on the wall. A darling young girl came to the desk to take me back but the older stylist must have decided I was an easy mark and insisted I sit at her station. She insisted that the younger girl watch and listen as she went on and on about her theory about cutting hair etc. This egomaniac really likes to hear herself talk. My sister has been both a hairdresser and instructor since 1968, so I knew that what she was putting out was pure BS. I went in to get a pretty basic layered cut because the top of my hair had gotten too long and heavy and fell flat. She cut everything but the top of my hair. I finally realized that I wasnt going to get what I went in for, and just wanted to get away from this no-talent braggart. My stylist had another client waiting so the younger girl checked me out. She said $22 and I had $25 in my hand to include a modest tip and my stylist leaned around her mirror and told her no, that one is $35. The young girl just shrugged her shoulders, obviously embarrassed and in an uncomfortable position, so rather than throw a fit and add to her distress, I pulled another $10 out of my purse and gave it to her. My stylist hollered Come back and see us and I looked at the young girl and said I doubt that. Just another person in Florida trying to rip off an older person. Shame on her... and shame on me for putting up with it.
