I brought my Porsche there for a custom axle back system. The custom piping, welds, tips, and color matching quality was unbelievably good and highly exceeded my expectations. Every pre-fab system you can buy online for my vehicle costs several thousands and this looks just as good and sounds just as good for a small fraction of that cost! Couldn’t recommend them enough!

We lost the tail pipe on our RV during our travels. We just happened to be near Lous Custom Exhaust in Portsmouth, NH. They appeared to be the only business that could fix the RV and get us back on the road. They were extremely helpful and professional. They custom fabricated a tail pipe for us, and got us back on our trip in less than an hour. FANTASTIC BUSINESS!!!!

We stopped in at 1pm today. This nice gentleman took a look under our Subaru and told us to come back at 3pm. They took care of us charged us $50 less than the quoted price! We highly recommend them.

I, like other reviews, have used Lou’s for exhaust work before and found them fair. I talked my son in law into using Lou’s. I felt as though they took an easy inexpensive flanged joint job (muffler was provided by my SIL) and turned it quickly into a 160$ weld job. Had I known the provided muffler had flange we would have done the work in my driveway. I was shocked at the final price and how the whole job felt (noticing that the shop was fairly empty and I felt the work/cost was drummed up based on my SIL’S age). My daughter and son in law just had their first child and really could have used a break financially to get their car with 214k miles back on the road which was why I even suggested Lou’s. I will be seeking other exhaust places next time for estimates and honestly won’t be quick to recommend them in the future. I understand a workman is worth their wage but being treated with fairness and honesty are huge but as a customer my loyalty (repeat $$) is earned. I lost some loyalty on this visit.ChuckKittery

Ive been going to Lous for years. There work is second to none. Fast service and there straight up with you. They wont try to over sell you. Exhaust is what they do, why go anywhere else. Oh yeah and there prices are decent too!

Had my truck exhaust custom built at a different business. The exhaust system was terrible. Hit on my driveshaft, leaked and sounded horrible and took them almost two weeks to complete. After hearing nothing but good things about Lous I decided to see if they could fix my exhaust. They inspected my Custom Exhaust and were appalled at the lack of care and quality the other shop had provided. After some discussion we agreed to just tear out the old exhaust and have Lous make me a new one. They took my truck in immediately and had it done by the next morning. My truck sounds 100% better. Bought a 2018 Chevy Silverado back in April and the exhaust was way too quiet for me. Called Lou’s exhaust and asked them for a quote on a particular exhaust and they said to come in. I came in and they showed me all the exhaust I could get within my budget and told them I wanted my Silverado louder. Set an appointment to put my new magnaflow 3 inch exhaust and was definitely worth it. Left the shop with a louder exhaust and was very very happy. Customer service was amazing and they helped me through the process of what I should get. Waited about an hour to put the parts on and also received black tips exhaust to match the truck. My truck sounds amazing and also got a 6 year warranty! Definitely will come back in the future and definitely was worth buying from them!

Fixed the exhaust leak in my Volvo xc90 quick and cheap. Saved me a ton of cash! They fabricated the part I needed in an afternoon, it looks great and works just as well. Do yourself a favor and bring them all your exhaust issues!

Had a new exhaust put on my Silverado. The guys were incredible, going over all my options patiently, gave me a great price, and now my truck sounds amazing!

I got my car inspected at a chain service center where I bought my tires (wanted the free rotation) and it failed due to the muffler. I was told it would be easier to replace my entire muffler as there were several tiny holes - cost, $1100. I didn’t doubt there were issues, I could hear/smell it at times. But to me, easier meant there could be a less expensive way; so without saying much I said Id check around regarding prices.On the advice of my daughter, I went to a local garage, 2 Brothers, in Portsmouth, for a second opinion. These guys were so helpful and informative. Yes, I had little holes in some muffler pipes, which they showed me, but because of the locations of the repairs needed they recommended Lous, assuring me they would take care of it promptly and for likely much less money than a new muffler system.I went to Lous without an appointment and lucky for me they had a moment to check out the muffler. Frank and another guy were great, they too showed me the little holes and leaks, and asked if I wanted them to fix it, right then, for $200. You bet! I was out of there within 45 minutes with a few different pieces of muffler pipes, leaks sealed, and good as new.I drove out of there and went right back to the place I failed inspection to get my sticker. If anyone ever mentions they have muffler issues, or as I was told at Lous, brakes, steering, and suspension issues as well, I will definitely recommend them!

Make sure you call around and see what prices are going for in the area. Got charged at least $100 more for the same thing elsewhere, I had work done their previously and thought they were very reputable so I took the first price he threw at me. Lesson learned, stay away.

Absolute BEST experience ever at an auto shop! Last week I went into the shop to have Frank and Doug take a look at my exhaust. They were so thorough, honest, and patient in explaining what needed to be done to my vehicle. They went above and beyond in answering questions that were unrelated to the exhaust (concerns I had about my Jeep) and even took a look at other things I need to keep an eye on as my vehicle ages over time. I was incredibly impressed with their professionalism and kindness. Very polite, professional, and efficient service. While my car was on the lift they showed me what was evaluated and explained the details of the issues identified. They offered to fix it right away and in about one hour the front y-pipe was replaced. It was intriguing to watch them custom cut and weld the pipes, after which, they showed me the repairs. The total repair was $425 with a 2 year warranty. I inquired if they noticed additional problems and was told the car was in good shape. I will return for additional vehicle repair, when needed.

Did a really great job! I changed my catalytic converter and a O2 sensor there, they worked in the night to get the job done and changed other parts in the exhaust they thought was in bad condition with no extra charges. And the point is, they only ask for $900 in total which was quoted for more $1500 in other places. Really AWESOME and HONEST guys!

This place is horrible, I had called this Tuesday and spoke to someone on the phone and said I need to bring my vehicle down to have the exhaust put back to factory for Friday. The employee/owner said not a problem I said okay I will be down in the morning to have it done. (Not a problem once again) I get there today at 10:15 sorry we are booked i would have never had you come down with an appointment. Why would you not ask for an appointment over the phone if I needed one. I have always done business with Kingston and will continue to go there from now on. I think the owner just has a horrible attitude thank you for losing my business for good.

These guys are the best. I brought my VERY custom Jeep TJ off-roading rig in for a complete exhaust system after I had swapped in a V8 engine. I gave them a vehicle with headers and the rest was up to them. I had a good idea where I wanted the system run to keep it up above the skid plates and protected from rocks, etc. They did exactly what I needed done, and had it done in half a day, for a very reasonable price. Then a year later when I changed the rear suspension configuration and needed the back half re-done, they got me in the next day and had it done in a couple hours! They had to snake a custom bent 2.5 tailpipe in between all the arms of a triangulated 4-link suspension and found the one spot to run it that nothing hits it when the suspension cycles. Better than expected and again at a very reasonable price. Im telling everyone I know how happy I am with the service and the skill of Mike and Doug and the rest of the guys in building a great exhaust system.

Cold called these guys, told them my exhaust was broke. They said come in any time - so I literally walked in 3 hours later, and they custom fabricated a brand new exhaust for my 2005 Lowered Tahoe in 30 minutes on the spot (seriously). To top it off they also painted the welds to roughly match the stainless steel exhaust, piping and tips. For like $375.Great couple guys. Great service, and obscenely great pricing. 5 stars all around, and well worth the trip from anywhere in the seacoast and beyond.

I took my 2000 Audi A6 twin turbo here today to get the exhaust repaired. It needed basically a full cat-back exhaust. The owner Mike was very helpful along with the other guys that worked there. After Mike gave me a quote for the job, they got my car up on the lift right away. I kicked back on the leather couch and watched tv and the job was done in 1 hour. Now I know these guys are the best around. Highly recommended.

In under an hour they cut out my janky old tail pipes then measured, bent, cut (repeat), hung and fully welded my dual exhaust from the muffler back and turned it into something respectable. I no longer cringe when I walk out my front door and look at the back of my truck. I have been referring my customers that need exhaust repairs to Lous in Portsmouth for a couple years based on positive word of mouth from others, now I can back it up with my own experience. The quality of the work speaks for itself, the price was less than I would have expected to pay and the fact they got it all done on my lunch break was a huge bonus. If you need exhaust work, they should really be your only stop.

Worst service I have ever received from any auto shop. My appointment was at 10 for a 20 minute fix. I was not taken until 11. The mechanic told me he could take me in 15 and then did not say anything else to me until he told me the cost of the repair. They also had an elderly woman waiting in the cold waiting area much longer than I waited and she was clearly becoming impatient and yet neither mechanic spoke to her at all. I would never refer anyone to ever go here.
