Chill place, bright & pretty. Doesnt smell like polish. Probably due to the air flow from the open garage door, which looks cool too. Finally got to have a drink at a nail place, which have not been offered at other places. Massage chair couldve had higher pressure. And easier communication with nail tech, but overall it was great.

I was waiting for my daughter to have a procedure at OHSU…the salon got me right in. Super friendly, very clean, & a wonderful pedicure. Highly recommend!

I love this shop!!!!! I needed an emergency fix the owner(whos amazing) got me right in. I drive from Salem to get my nails done here.The man knows his stuff and loves what he does, I am hooked. My nails never lift anymore or break the prices are great he loves his clients and his work...All his employees are kind and so good too.

Not only is this the place to go to get a beautiful service, but you truly feel the care they put into your experience there. Nim is not only a warm, kind person but he also puts so much love into his craft! Every week I am excited to get my acrylics filled. I truly cant recommend this place enough, they deserve all the business they get.

When I walked into this upscale spa I was instantly impressed by the elegant decor, and the friendly young lady at the reception desk. The chandeliers and plenty of fresh flowers made the space extra inviting, as well.All the safety protocols were in place and I was directed to have my temperature taken with a facial scanner and to sanitize my hands, which was optional. The young lady at the front desk took my coat and whisked me off to my pedicure chair. There were sheer curtains between each chair for privacy but I went with a friend and we kept our curtain open which created an intimate pedicure for two.We both got the deluxe pedicure and boy was that nice! Anh, my pedicurist used sugar scrub, paraffin, and a cucumber hydrating lotion, and gave a great massage. Hot towels, and a nice glass of wine completed the whole experience!I would definitely recommend Rex Nail Spa because it’s a beautiful place with wonderful people who know how to pamper their guests.

My husband and I both got pedicures at Rex Nails & Spa. Everyone inside was so kind! The salon itself is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. Everything was clean and there were fresh tulips all over. The massage and pedicure was wonderful & we can’t wait to go back. Thank you everyone!

After moving into the area, I was looking for a new nail spa. Rex’s has exceeded my expectations, and I’ve left happy every time! Mnat is my go to and he takes the time to be detailed and really focuses on quality!

I had a very relaxing experience, everyone was welcoming and the kind man who did my pedicure did an amazing job. I was a bit hesitant because of past reviews but I’ll definitely go back I’m very happy i went to check it out despite some of what i read here. Everything went smoothly for my first appointment so i wanted to share my personal experience.

Great nail artist but very poor time management. I always make appointments and get walk ins put in front of me or worked on during my appt. This has happened multiple times. I went to my scheduled appt and was asked to come back an hour later. Said he didn’t know I had appt. He rushed thru my services and I didn’t even get my full pedicure. Today I finally said something. I tried to talk to manicurist and he was not understanding. It could have been a miscommunication due to language difference. I felt bad so I called him afterwards to apologize for being frustrated and he was was really rude. I am disappointed as I like his work and the salon in general. I hate to have to find a new place. No one should be treated poorly or have their services cut short to fit someone else in. They do a great job but need to be respectful of clients time. I have been a regular but not sure after today. I am very disappointed as it was expensive and I didn’t even get the pedicure like others received. The person next to me commented on it.Update: 3 nails completely came off first week. That’s the first time that happened. Can’t rush thru it and expect a good outcome.

Beautiful nail salon with very classy atmosphere and decor. They seem to have thought of every detail, down to the sheer curtains between pedicure chairs. I’ve been to dozens of nail spas, and this one felt different. It was calm and quiet with peaceful background music, rather than the loud TVs, and hurried chatter. The nail technicians are focused on the guests and not on private conversations among themselves that I experience elsewhere. Phong was my provider, and he took great care of my feet and legs. He has the most tender yet firm massage and seemed to know the spots that needed extra pressure. It had been a year since my last pedicure because of Covid and going pretty much nowhere. But this was the perfect return to self-care, and I fully intend to return. I’m so happy I found this little oasis in Portland’s south waterfront neighborhood, and I definitely recommend others give it a try. I think you’ll appreciate the classy and sophisticated difference!

I got a manicure from Vu Nguyen and he was very thoughtful in his work and it turned out fantastic!

I’ve been to Rex Nails twice in less than a week, once for a manicure and once for a pedicure. Both visits were excellent, all of the technicians were so friendly and professional.. The salon was very clean and staff cleaned and sanitized before and after each client.

So glad to have this shop in my neighborhood. Its a really calm, relaxing place. Very classy and clean for sure. Everyone there is always super helpful. Sometimes I make an appointment, sometimes I dont, but theyre always able to accommodate me if I can be a little flexible. Many new processes in place for CoVid and I appreciate that!

Nim is so courteous and professional. I’m super indecisive and he helped me pick a gorgeous color and style I hadn’t tried. I usually do dip, but he suggested acrylics and made them look so natural and pretty. This is my new go-to place!!

I got a gel manicure and it started lifting and chipping after 1 week. I get my nails done regularly and this has NEVER happened to me before. I had to ask my nail tech to fix the shape multiple times, the edges were not cleaned while applying the gel polish and the color is uneven and poorly applied to my nail. I was very disappointed with the result and will likely not return to this salon for a gel manicure again.

Super disappointing. We had an 11:00am appointment this morning for two manicures so we got there at 10:55am and stood outside in the rain. At 11:05am it was still dark inside, door was locked, and no one answered the phone. We got back in the car and drove around the block looking for another nail salon. We drove back by at 11:10am and it was still dark inside. We got a call from the nail salon at 11:15am saying, I got a missed call from you. We had an appointment at 11:00am but left when no one was there by 11:05am. Oh, can you come back later? No apology. Just It is because of the weather. So, Oregon rains 6 months out of the year so you leave 2 customers outside after their appointment time because you arent prepared for rain? Crazy.

The staff at Rex Nails were so very nice and stayed 20-30 min past the time of closing to take care of me after having a rough day at work. They did both my nails and toes, and had glass of wine, and also they were so friendly and easy to laugh with. :) They also invited me to see their new restaurant called VN Urban! It was great and they let me sample a couple different items to make sure I liked it!

This place is amazing! Wendy is the best. I have never been to a salon that has pampered me as much as Rex salon has and Wendy did an amazing job making me feel special. I give this place 2 thumbs up!

No hot water for the pedicure.Had to tell technician twice that I want my nails short. Yes, really. I want them short.Sloppy work, polish on skin around the nail.And for heavens sake, use an orangewood stick for minor nail polish corrections. NOT YOUR OWN THUMBNAIL. Its just nasty.I wont go back, even though it is super-convenient. Sorry.

This was my second time there. As with my first time I had an appointment and this time specifically with Jason. He was busy with another woman, which was fine as I was willing to wait. I get seated and next thing I know a woman is working on me and proceeds to do my entire Dip manicure. Twice she touched the skin next to my nail with Dremel-type file. OUCH!!! Several times my nails got hot from it. Two nails dont have complete coverage because the adhesive wasnt applied to the entire nail surface. Three nails have rough areas. I told her I wanted the shape to be squoval. She did tapered squared. Im not very pleased.

Rex is always comfy, stylish, relaxing, professional, and well priced.

Make sure to work with your person on pressure for massage. Super clean!

This is a beautiful nail salon. The technicians hired do a great job. They serve a complimentary drink. They are a little on the pricey side but they are not in a cheap location either.

Quiet and upscale, the atmosphere at Rex Nails is wonderful. Both manicures and pedicures are available. Gels are also done. I felt like a princess. I recommend Rex Nails.

I was not pleased with the service. My daughter and I scheduled an appointment together. My daughter was seated first, and then I was seated two seats away from her, and then I was told to seat beside her, which had no manicure station; they switched my seat for another person. Then they told me to seat opposite of her at the circular manicure station. Here, I had to talk across the manicure station to her. The man that did my nails was finished with my nails before her nails wear done. In addition, he gave a lot of disengenerous comments about my jewelry, “pretty.” Plus, the edge of my nails were left rough, and one area of the nail was not thoroughly polished. I went back to where my daughter was still having a luxury manicure, and her response was, “you are already finished.”

I have never had my acrylic nails removed so painfully! Had to hold back from crying. Paid for a removal and clean and my nails still have acrylic and paint left on my nails.

Beautiful location, Super friendly service. Went there for a company party and they pulled out all the stops, with food, wine, and my pedicure was wonderful! Ill definitely find a reason to go back there, even though I live on the east side. They also have some Pretty Amazing nail artists!

Dont go to this place. This was my first and last time there. No one explained to me what they were doing and turns out they were giving me the deluxe pedicure. I felt like they new I was clueless about their menu and took advantage of that.

Amazing pedicure, and the student worker was a delight. Definitely planning on going here on my next trip.

Bad experience, was not treated equally by staff. Was not offered anything to drink, yet other customers were treated with the upmost respect, was very rough and overpriced. Would not recommend this for people of color.

We had two adults and 6 kids (10 & 11 year olds) in our party and the crew at Rex Nails went above and beyond to make our birthday party fabulous! Highly recomend!

Went with a friend the person who did the pedicure was snarky and not enjoyable. I was very happy but my shoes were put on while the polish was wet so lucky the weather wasnt supportive of flip flops.

This was probably the worst manicure/pedicure Ive had. I thought that given the location it would be a little better of an experience. I called ahead and got an appointment for a mani/pedi on a Tuesday afternoon. When I got there, I was placed with a woman who Im pretty sure was not trained to do nails. She had to keep asking every step what to so. She did not turn the jets on in the water basin and left the water running to where it nearly overflowed and I had to point it out to her. She was taking so long to do the pedicure that a gentleman came over and gave me a shotty manicure with the wash cloth, supplies laying in my lap while she was finishing my pedicure. The polish on my finger nails came 1-2 days later and didnt extend to the sides of my nails.Definitely will not be going back.

My pedicure was rushed and sloppily done. They had customers walk in and my nail tech stopped in the middle of my pedicure to work on someone else. I sat there waiting for her to return and until they saw me getting ready to leave, she came back to finish. They overcharged me by $10 and when I told them the price was incorrect she didnt do anything about it. They didnt cover the nail, she didnt clean or cut my nails the way I asked. Also they dont have plastic covers for the spa tubs! Gross. Very poor job. Will not return and dont recommend.

Very nice service. And if you really want to relax, they also have a drink menu for you to choose something good for yourself :)

This is the prettiest pedi/mani spot I have ever been to! Its very clean and tranquil! The people are really nice and there are a ton of shellac nail polish options.

We made reservations and when we arrived we were put into chairs that didnt work and were very obviously rushed through our pedicure due to the bridal party who also had a reservation at the same time we did. They didnt have enough staff on-hand to accommodate and were not apologetic about the poor service. We wont be back.

I used to be a regular at this place for more than 7 months until Nim, the owner/ tech, treated me poorly on 3/22/2018. He was disrespectful, impolite, and very rude to me in front of other costumers. He did the following to me:1- he worked on my nails really fast.2- when I asked him to fix them, since they were done badly, he started yelling at me.3- when I asked him to fix my nails, he was working on another costumer’s feet and wanted to clip my nails with the same tools!4- when I asked him to change the tools, he got really mad.5- he did not take off the gloves from previously working on a costumer’s feet.6- he kicked me out of the place when I asked him politely to fix my nails.7- he said that he didn’t have time for me since he had other costumes even though I came before them.8- when my friend asked for the store card, he gave her a fake one.It’s expected from an owner to treat his costumers in a respectful manner. All I asked for was to get a simple fix since I’m paying for it. He refused serving me with zero justification. I’m very disappointed.

I had my eyelashes done by Luan yesterday evening for the first time and it was by far the best experience Ive had with lashes all together. His expertise and quality he puts into his work is impeccable. My lashes have never looked so full and actually very natural. I have always been able to see where my natural lashes end and where the extensions begin, after seeing Luan yesterday, you cannot even see where the extensions are glued to my lashes! I dont even know how he did it! They are so full, feather light, but also very securely placed. Cannot recommend his talent and customer service enough. If you want a high-end lash experience, schedule your next visit with Luan @ Rex....even if youve been going somewhere else, he will fix what you dont like about your current lashes.

They gave everyone that was with me the royal treatment but I was the bride and felt rushed through because it was close to closing time. I left with rough skin still on my feet, uneven toenails and didnt even get lotion put on my hands for my manicure.

Awful. Dont go there. Youll spend too much money, waste too much time waiting (even if you make an appt) and be sorry with the outcome.
