Visiting Portland and came to the salon on a whim. Even after closing hour they invited all 4 of us in for services and totally pampered us on a very short time frame. Even in a rush they did a stellar job! The salon is clean and atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Madis to anyone. So kind and accommodating!

I had the pleasure of getting my nails done by Anh. She was able to accommodate me last minute and not only did she do a amazing job, she was funny and friendly as well. Most of the time I get my nails done and it’s just business as usual. Anh was very sweet and I enjoyed her service and her company. I will definitely come back again and request her. I received a pedicure and a shellac manicure. She has great attention to detail and didn’t show any bother when changed colors twice! Shop is beautiful and clean and follows the covid precautions.

I wanted to return to this salon - but there was a person sleeping on the front porch at 10:00 amd with all sorts of stuff which was not conducive to the professional nature of a business.

I randomly walked into this salon last week. They sat my friend and I and did an amazing job. Not only were they friendly, they did an great job! Sad I didn’t know them years ago!

This is the second time I have gone to this nail salon and felt like they were annoyed that they had to work on me. I’m pretty easy-going and I don’t ask for much and I try to be as friendly but it just seems like maybe they are super burnt out or just don’t care to be friendly. I got a basic manicure and pedicure and I didn’t want my nails polished but It would have been nice if she would’ve buffed the tops so that they at least were shiny. I said I wouldn’t go there again, I made the mistake of going there again, I won’t be back again. A little bit of friendliness goes along way.

I stumbled upon this place after lunch in the neighborhood recently. I wanted to get a shellac manicure redone. The space is bright, clean, and feminine. The team were all super nice, friendly, fast, and helpful. The owner helped me find the exact color I wanted out of the 100+ options. When I came time to put the new color on they moved me to a spot near the window with a lovely view of the blooming trees. Plus this is the only place that has offered fingerless gloves so that the skin on my hands would be protected from the UV lights that harden the shellac. Price point was slightly higher ($5) than my usual but the place felt cleaner and more cozy too. Go, you will get what you want and then some!

My favorite place! I have moved across town and still travel 20 minutes across the river to come here to get gel extensions. Its beautiful inside and everyone does a great job. Call ahead by a couple hours to get an appointment if you can especially on the weekends.

Best color selection of anywhere Ive been in Portland! This place has totally transformed after switching owners just over a year ago. Not the cheapest Mani in town, but always a good job.

Love Midas Nails! All the staff here are very nice and attentive. My shellac last over 3 weeks without chipping. I even got special heat treatment yesterday during a pedicure, it feel so good. The only place I go in Portland for my nails done :)

I really like this place. They can be busy, but they do their best to accommodate walk ins and I hardly ever have to wait when I get there. All the staff do a great job and they always give a great neck massage if you do a mani. This place is my go to for nails.

If you want a pedicure, only come here if you want to get really pampered! I was offered a massage chair, a cup of tea, and a warm neck pillow before I had even sat down.The spa pedicure included the basics, but they added a leg scrub and moisturized massage, followed by a hot stone rub. Everyone is super friendly, but they will also leave you alone if you just want to close your eyes for a moment to relax. Easily the best pedicure I have ever had, and with a Groupon, why wouldnt I go back?

Clean, cheap and convenient. If you feel like splurging, an extra $5 gets you a foot or hand collogen wrap... definitely worth it!

By far the best Mani pedi Ive had! Im from out of town and didnt know where to go, and luckily ended up here. They were very kind and gentle, repeatedly offered me water, hot tea, or wine. Speaking English was no problem at all, and they did a great job. There was even a hot stone portion of the leg massage that is a standard part of the pedicure. I was very impressed and recommend this salon highly.

This is a great nail salon. I call ahead the day I want to come in and they have no problem scheduling me. They offer a beverage when you arrive. I usually do shellac manicure and occasionally add a pedicure. They have many (75+) shellac shades to choose from, and it lasts about 3 weeks for me, or until the grow-out is too noticeable. The tips never chip, whereas they usually do within a week when I go elsewhere. Midas also offers a punch card for free services and occasionally provides a $5 off coupon for your next visit.Great value and convenient location.

One of the best manicure pedicure I have ever had. The foot and hand neck massage along with the music made for a very relaxing time. Both technician took their time and did not rush me through. Very clean and friendly salon.

It was awesome... the girl who completed my mani and pedi was awesome. Well I wore regular shoes because I went after working and at the end when the girl was done she asked me if I wanted the throw away sandals, I said sure... well the guy there, blatantly said in front of me, No, dont waste them on her... wow, I spent $55 there... the least I could get would be some $1.00 throw away sandals so my toes dont get messed up... I will be back tomorrow to get them fixed if they do.. thats ridiculous, I wouldve paid for them too if asked. How rude could you be? It sucks because I travel to Portland for work and based on the girls performance Id go back, but not now, that ruined it.

I went with my mother and she got her nails started before I did and when the women came to do my nails she absolutely rushed me even though my mother had stared like 15 or 20 minutes before I did I finished before her they did have a lot of great colors and gave you complimentary drinksAlso it is a little hard to find and beware there are quite a few stairsWhen i went last there were a lot of people but that is not anything badOverall it is a ok place

Nail color amazing, although I absolutely cannot stand my nails. They are uneven, short and not the shape I wanted, when I told twodifferent employees what was bothering me with my nails they made me feel like I was crazy and now I have to go home and try to figure out how to fix my nails.

My nails looked fabulous but the service was poor. They were more concerned with getting everyone elses nails done instead of mine. I got a mani-pedi and it took 2.5 hours. At one point, I had to ask if someone was going to finish my nails.

This place was stuffy and cramped. Staff was okay, 1 nice gal and a few other rude staff members. I usually go to the places on NW 21 Ave but thought Id try some where on NW 23rd ... it was not worth it. It cost more and was not a relaxing experience. The place was also a bit dirty and run down. Will not be returning.

This place is really too good to be true. The mani pedi includes a hot stone massage on your calves and shoulder rub. They have a millions gel colors to choose from. My manicure last three weeks without a chip. I actually have to take the polish off bc my nails have grown too long before it has a chance to chip. The prices are fair if not competitive and I always get a coupon for five dollars off the next visit. Love, love, love it.

Just had my first service, shellac pedi. I got right in, service was great, the comfort of the chairs was great, and Ill say this is the best shellac pedi Ive had since moving from West Hollywood!They also have a loyalty card, so my 10th service will be free!!

Went on my lunch hour from work for a mani-pedi. The service, and attention to detail was the best Ive ever experienced - anywhere!

My nail polish chipped the same day. They used an old/dry topcoat and there were piece of dry polish and bubbles on my nails. I asked if they could fix it, but they still did a bad job. This place is more expensive than other places around NW 21 & 23. The service is not great either, but the quality was just awful.

Called to make an appt .. They said come right in no problem. Drove across town 10 mins away then they said 40 mins wait sorry we gave your spot to someone that just walked in. Wasted my time. Not coming back to such an inconvenient unprofessional nail salon.

I am a glass-is-half-full person, and have never written one of these before. BUT, I feel obligated to warn others NOT TO have a mani-pedi at MIDAS NAIL SPA. I just had an AWEFUL AWEFUL experience there. The workers are RUDE, only two spoke english, and they spoke and laughed amongst themselves in mocking tones. They treated me like a bother, ordered me around, were rough in their hand and foot treatments, and did just barely the minimum. A young girl did my nails, while a young guy did my feet, and it was very stressful having orders barked from them and trying to comply with both at once. EVERYTHING THEY DID WAS RUSHED AND ROUGH. The girl was so rough on my cuticles that I had to tell her to slow down and be more gentle. She cut my nails and filed them and they were all crooked, and when I asked her to fix the most crooked spots she acted put out and said mocking things to to guy doing my feet. He scalded my feet with water that was too hot, and because he did not speak english, she had to translate when I yelped too hot and by the time he turned the water temperature down, it was too late - feet scalded. The girl massaged my shoulders, and it consisted of 2 minutes of karate chops and punches on my shoulders - painful and NOT AT ALL RELAXING. They only put one coat of polish on my nails. And the final insult was the owner charged me full price ($40) for nails that looked awful and only had one coat of polish. I questioned her and she had the nerve to go get a $5 gift certificate for my next time there. Imagine that - I declined. I told her it was not a good experience and she shrugged her shoulders. DO NOT SPEND YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE - this place is HORRIBLE.

After purchasing a deal with this salon on one of those discounted e-mail sites and reading all the great reviews, I was excited for my mani/pedi at Midas. Honestly, Im confused how so many positive reviews were posted about this place. My appointment was for 6PM, they didnt even start working on me until nearly 6:20, the chairs were lackluster, and the place was the size of a closet. With 4 other customers and 3 employees, it felt like there was absolutely no breathing room! The techs were at least nice and they did an OK job on the both my mani and pedi, but I felt extremely rushed! I can only assume that this is because they close at 7 - but I like to sit a little while longer to let my nails fully dry to prevent any knicks. Needless to say both my pedi and mani were ruined because they didnt get to dry enough and since it was after 7, I couldnt even go back and have them fix it! Sorry for the long review, but I will NOT be going back there again.
