I booked a facial and massage for me and my husband to celebrate our anniversary. Despite corresponding via text with the salon that my husband wanted a female service provider when we arrived he was told it was a man. He asked to cancel since they didn’t have a female available and was told he would be charged 50%. So needless to say I then couldn’t also cancel my facial. So my husband left upset and I laid on the facial bed and cried through the entire thing. Super experience. Great customer service, make a mistake and charge your customer for it.

We came to visit Portland this weekend and I received a massage from Sara Sasse. I have plantars faciitis and she tailored my massage using stretching techniques, hot stone, and deep tissue. My body feels amazing and my feet feel like they are brand new. I highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back when I come to visit again!

Overall interesting experience. We booked the couples spa day, and the massage therapist who greeted us acted like we knew what to do? He left us in the sauna room without any instructions. The actual massage was very good. Then we had the rain shower treatment which was honestly kinda weird, i didnt really know what to expect but I would not do it again. I did not find it very relaxing at all, it felt like they were just spraying you with a hose. The place was pretty outdated and not exactly what i would call relaxing. Im giving it 3 stars because the actual massage was good but everything else was weird

I am a returning guest after an amazing experience coming in with my wife for our anniversary last year. I chose Spa Sasse to gift my best friend a birthday massage while I tried out the pedicure service. I was really excited to return and be a patron of this business again, but sadly was disappointed with my overall experience.If I were to rate my nail tech and the quality of the service I received for my spa pedicure, I would give 5 stars.The 3 stars reflect my frustration with how LOUD the woman in the lobby (who I shockingly found out later is the owner) was talking while I had my spa pedicure. The owner was meeting with some folks during business hours for a repair or upgrade to the front door. It was confusing why this entire loud conversation was taking place while paying customers were trying to have their relaxation in the pedicure chairs right there in the lobby area. The owner appeared very oblivious and would even yell from across the lobby, jolting me awake from my attempt to relax while getting my service done. The experience rubbed me the wrong way and it may be some time before I’ll return.

Fantastic service! My husband got a swedish massage and fell asleep during. I got a foot massage and sat in a massage chair. I also had a few cat naps. We will return when we can. As far as parking goes we parked across the street at the parking garage.

They really need an update. Very dated and not relaxing. Reminds me of a Las Vegas styled spa. The massage I received was good but I didn’t feel like it was clean enough in the spa. Too many decorative and soft furnishings that had dust on them to make me feel comfortable with the overall cleanliness of the place.

I had a gift certificate valued at $1500 that I purchased at an auction for a lot of money and it expired 04/2020. The spa was closed since March because of COVID so I called several times and left voicemails since it said that the messages would be checked periodically, nobody ever called me back. I called last week to explain the situation and asked how I could redeem my certificate, an employee told me that she would talk to the owner Sara and call me back.She called me back today Monday November 16th and said that I could not use my certificate since it had expired. I requested to please talk to the owner.The owner of the spa Sasse (Sara) called me and very rudely told me that she backed what her employee has told me and that I could not use my certificate. When I asked her to please consider the situation, she told me to “be happy that the money I had paid helped children in need but I couldn’t use my certificate” and she also very rudely told me “ I don’t have time for this, I got to go” and she hung up.This is not how you do business, so avoid this place at all cost!

The salon was 15 minutes late opening and when they did open the masseuse wasnt even there. I requested a 110 minute massage but only received an 80 minute massage. Fortunately they did not charge me incorrectly for the time that was given. Iqbal Kana was my massage therapist and he did a wonderful job. The pressure was on point and so was the temperature. He was very professional and this is the best I have felt in a long while. He mentioned he has 30 years experience and it definitely showed.

If you are going for their infrared sauna, dont.I will start this off by saying I have a thyroid disease so I sweat much easier than the average person. Therefore, I was surprised when I was barely sweating within 15 minutes of the sauna session.So I go an ask the front desk and they come to check it and say well good news is that the infrared does not need high ambient heat. Yes, this is true. Normal saunas run around 150-200 but infrared saunas can run from 110-150 with giving you the same, and some claim to be far better results.My phone has an internal thermostat so I decided to actually see what the sauna temperature was at. Not to my surprise my phone says 85 degrees Fahrenheit! I sat around waiting for it to warm up because maybe it took a minute, but after 45 minutes I decided to not waste anymore time.I tried to tell the front desk that something was wrong in their sauna but they kept telling me you dont have to sweat to get the affects of the infrared. Infrared saunas operate at a lower temperature because they uses the infrared rays to heat the body from within rather than using the air surrounding the person. That is why infrared saunas dont need a higher temperature.I understand not knowing the inner workings of an infrared sauna, but why keep insisting to me that I dont need to sweat when the only way to detox in a sauna is to sweat? Infrared rays dont magically make you feel better, you have to sweat out toxins. I cant believe I have to explain that to a spa.

My husband and I had a very relaxing 80-minute couples massage today with Eli and Ali. The ambience is very soothing and they have very nice amenities--table warmers and a thick blanket to start. I also appreciated that, though we paid for Swedish, we received services of additional value (hot stones and deep tissue work). Everyone was very friendly and professional.The only two things I would change are 1. the music was very repetitive and 2. either one or both of the therapists seemed to be wearing a fragrance, or maybe it was in the oil? It smelled like Angel perfume. It has stuck with us even after a shower. Im pretty sensitive to fragrances, so I would have preferred not to have that.Still a five-star experience though. Definitely worth it. Thanks so much!

Love this place!!! The ambiance is very relaxing. Soft background music plays and you can always hear water trickling down the water feature. It located next to rite and downtown you take a set of stairs down under the street level and it like you entered a cave of beauty and rest. They offer many services including laser hair removal and prices are competitive. Highly recommended.

Very nice place and the facial I got with Jessie Walker was absolutely awesome, my face is glowing. Jessie not only has the skills & the touch, but respected when I wanted to be quiet and answered questions when I asked, she offered suggestions without pushing products. The products they use are all organic.I will definitely go back.

After a long day of travel this was a real treat! Bonnie gave me one of the best massages of my life! She got our all my knots and gave me a truly individualized massage. She was friendly and checked in on me through the massage but wasn’t overly chatty which allowed me to decompress. If I ever find myself in Portland again I will certainly be visiting Bonnie again.

We bought a romantic package with, champagne, rose petals and chocolate truffles. The problem was however the stay with not at all romantic.Before and after the massage we were in a public room. I would have expected a private room for a romantic package. The public room was not romantic and the flower petals were fake. Another major complaint is after the massage when we were supposed to have our Truffles and champagne we were placed in a waiting room with other people. We also had to wait an extraordinary long time for the champagne after the massage. We did not get the champagne until we had to ask multiple times when it was coming.For the cost of a package I would have expected much better service and better treatment.The only redeeming factor was that the massage itself was good however the overall atmosphere was God awful and extremely awkward with some if the staff.

Loved my laser hair removal session! It was painless and one of the best laser experiences I have had. Bonnie was great. I would recommend going here if you are at all hesitant with the laser process.

This place is very professional. I have gotten great results with the Cool Sculpting. I would highly recommend it. I had my double chin treated; which is an impossible place to reduce on your own. I had 2 treatments.It has been only a few months and the area continues to reduce. I may opt in for one more on the chin and then the love handle will be the next project.If you are hesitant to try this because so many other treatments out their claim to reduce fat, dont be. This works!!!!

Recently went in for Coolsculpting, and the woman who worked with me, Alicia, was an absolute joy. She was patient, attentive, and knowledgeable about the procedure. Terrible experience. I got a facial by someone wearing rough plastic gloves so it felt like she was scratching my face. Then when I wanted to purchase something with my remaining gift certificate they told me that I could only use it for services. Still have $20 on it but I won’t be going back.

My husband and I went in for a couples massage for my birthday. Our LMTs were Eli and Carla, and both were wonderful and kind. Eli helped with some issues I have been having with my neck and showed me some things I could do to stretch and strengthen at home that have really worked for me. My husband said that Carla gave a great massage as well. They took note of particular things we wrote on our intake forms, noticed it was my birthday and treated me extra special, took their time with everything and were great. Overall a very relaxing and healing experience! We will be back I hope!

I was looking forward to this massage all weekend to end my Bachelorette weekend on a relaxing note, unfortunately I was very disappointed. My mom and sister had great massages but my massage with Bonnie was not good at all! She could tell I was not satisfied and said she would see what she could do... The facial she gave me was great. At the end I was given a free candle to somehow make up for the worst massage Ive had that cost a pretty penny. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not make up for paying for a massage and getting a lotion treatment.

The spa is warm and relaxing with a welcoming staff. In the past two months Tiffany has been massaging me. Shes found the root cause of several musculoskeletal problems that a chiropractor couldd resolve. She did. Ive had pain in my right thumb joint for years that I thought was a joint problem. A hand surgeon agreed. Just had a massage. She honed in on some muscle and facia problems in my arm. Im back at my office.....pain gone . Shes awesome.

Took the day off of work and hired a sitter for my children. Showed up 15 min before service. Waited until 5 min past my service time and called. The spa was closed and no one answered.

DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES HERE! The worst customer service and management I’ve ever encountered. I was given a gift certificate for $120 from my staff. I called Sasse four times BEFORE the expiration date to extend the date because I couldn’t get in to use it before it expired. They kept telling me that someone would call me back but no one did. On the day it was to expire I called again & they refused to extend it. They were horribly rude and condescending. I had misplaced the certificate in a move and found it a week before it was to expire. They told me “I should have used it”.If someone would have called me back I could have arranged for someone else to use it!

Sometimes it is the service that is declined that is important. I was using a retinyl cream which was causing my skin to peel. They honestly recommended against a facial with microdermabrasion that I had scheduled stating it would damage my skin under the circumstances. I respect their honesty and appreciate they did not accept my money when the service I scheduled was not right for me.

Beware of this cheap spa! I purchased a Groupon and received a decent facial from a nice lady. I wanted to support this local business and a full paying customer so I quickly booked a massage while leaving the spa.I was surprised they took the payment 1 month in advanced but I figured it would force me to take the time to take care of myself. As life goes, I missed the appointment, ironically enough the Esthetician had car troubles that day as well. I figured it would be a simple reschedule but much to my surprise when I was called I was informed of their no show policy for the first time.I was charged in full for the services I never received with out any notice.After reading through others reviews I realize the owner of this business is pretty shiesty and knows exactly what shes pulling on her customers with insane policies like charging someone $130 for missing an appointment.

I could not be happier because the technology is advanced and effective. I use their Phytomer and Eminence products, and bought more than 12 items for face and body, because they are highly rated, and again, effective. From the moment I used their testers on display I could see results. I noticed that many people come here for massages, so I started getting massages from Eli (pronounced Eee-lie) and she is excellent. She has done massages for Portland Trail Blazers and takes pride in her work. She helped me understand that a Deep Tissue massage does not mean that you should feel like youve been run over by a truck--so if you have been hesitant like me because you think Deep Tissue will hurt, dont be. There are so many massages to choose from on the menu that there is something for everyone. What I love about my services here is that everything contributes to a healthy lifestyle, and I can tell that my overall health and well-being has been elevated from the inside out, which is what I think a good spa should do for you. I became a member of the spa, which has saved a lot of money on services, and I get a discount on products.

Our experience was amazing! We got the ultimate couples package. It started with the best bubble bath imaginable. Next we had perfectly detailed coustom massages for each of us. They were so kind and really cared about giving us the best experience possible. I felt so melted and euphoric afterwards. They offer complimentary truffles and biscuits. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil. You felt relaxed just walking into there facility. We also had the salt scrub and rain theropy. Let me tell you if your looking for one of a kind show experience do the rain therapy! Hot oil and salt scrubs leaves your skin incredibly soft renewed and invigorated. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The tea was also very good! For whatever price they offer its worth every moment! We didnt want to leave. But dreams dont last forever unfortunately. It was pure Bliss.
