Dr. Maddox is an artist. First time experience with injections today (6/22/21). Any nervousness I had was immediately quelled as soon as I walked through the door. Aysia is professional and kind. When he handed me the mirror the first time after his initial round of botox and filler, it was still me, just a more ideal version of me. The front office and Doctor are all great, super friendly and experts in their field. I have been going here for a while and have been very happy. I will be changing offices though as I prefer a different product that lasts longer (Dysport) that Dr M does not carry. If he ever brings it on board I will be back for sure!!

I’ve been coming to Thrive for the last 6 months and can’t say enough about how great Dr. Maddox and his staff are. The clinic itself is very nice and clean. They listen to your concerns and offer solutions that will best work for you whether it’s for your face or body. One of my biggest concerns is my melasma on my cheeks and forehead. I have had great results with the Spectra laser. My skin is brighter and my skin tone more even. Whatever your need, I highly recommend Thrive.

I’ve been a client for about 5 years of Dr. Maddox, and have had a number of different procedures. I, always really comfortable with his recommendations, I never feel over sold or over done after seeing him. The other practitioners there I’ve seen are also so amazing, I always feel like Im hanging with girlfriends and just also happen to be getting lasered or something. Totally recommend!

My experiences with Thrive are never anything short of exceptional. Dr. Maddox and his team are so professional and knowledgeable about every procedure, new and old, I never leave with any questions. Ive had everything done at Thrive from regular botox injections, fillers, to peels, lasers for my acne scarring, tattoo removal, you name it. Recently I just tried Mira Dry and I am in love! Im a hairstylist and super active mother of a 5 year old and fitted t-shirts (especially white or grey) could never happen. It was such a nuisance at work when Im lifting my arms all day and I have wet marks. The procedure was so easy I could have napped through the entire thing. The only slight pinching sensations were the injections that Dr. Maddox injects to numb your underarms; it was barely pinching and then youre so numb you cant feel a thing. He is also one of the most gentle injectors Ive ever had with any procedure. Tristin who performs the actual heat was a dream. Shes so amazing and fun and makes you feel so comfortable. I followed icing and ibuprofen directions as recommended and my swelling is so minimal the day after. Im already so happy with my results. Also I cant believe Im not needing deodorant. You need to check this procedure out! I recommend Thrive to every single person I come into contact with. I cannot say enough. I love this place!

They do not post your Brilliant Distinction Points! I recently switched to this office because they had a great Black Friday sale- bought 2 treatments. BUT- they do NOT post the points to BD. I asked about it more than once and was told they were unable to access the system but working on it. More than 2 months have passed! I even called BD and they said they should be able to take care of that in one phone call. Its ridiculous to say they cant fix that problem for 2 months. I have points expiring in February and unable to spend the award coupons I earned in early December. Forget receiving any of the BD tier samples too. Will have to look for another provider. The office and staff were nice (although incompetent with the BD issue) and I gave 2 stars only because I was satisfied with the procedure results. But without the BD awards, its a loss to go to this place. Avoid!

Just a waste of money! Dont even try it! Spent about $2000 and got absolutely zero results. All hair back only after a month!

Giving 2 stars because Wendy is nice. However I do not believe she has enough experince or knowledge to give botox injections. My fault for not going to the doctor. Always scedule wth the expert, even if it costs more.

As far back as I can remember I have always had sweaty underarms. When I was in middle school, I remember getting home and taking off my t-shirt and seeing a sweat ring about 1 foot wide around each arm pit. I wouldn’t even have to do anything to cause the massive sweating. I tried to wear larger shirts or even undershirts to try and hide the wet stains that would happen everyday. I remember talking to a doctor about this and he said I have a condition called Hyperhidrosis. He gave me a prescription for some topical medication. It didn’t work. I felt hopeless and learned to deal with the condition, but trying to deal with it took a toll me. I never felt confident to hold up my arms and I couldn’t buy cloths that fit correctly in fear my sweat would show through. My shirts wouldn’t last longer than 6 months because they would become stained. It wasn’t until recently that I felt I couldn’t take it anymore. Now in my 30’s, and with a job where I need to dress in button up shirts, I came across a solution. No not the underarm pads for dress shirts, not medications, not even all black style polo shirts that I’ve warn for the past 8 years. I found miraDry. My life has changed! That one quick office visit to Thrive Portland is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I had no clue that a simple 45-minute session with the doctor and miraDry technician would be this life changing. I was skeptical before and even after the treatment that it might not work for me since I have had Hyperhidrosis my entire life. But it did work! I feel amazing and am still on cloud nine! My wife and I have tossed my old polos and every black shirt I owned out and have been buying new clothes I want to wear. Better yet, I have not had a single drop of sweat appear under my arms. I don’t even wear deodorant anymore. I am confident and it’s like I’ve never had an issue. I would encourage anyone who wants to end underarm sweating to have miraDry done. I cannot stress enough that this is the perfect solution to fix underarm sweating. Thank you Dr. Maddox and the rest of the team at Thrive Portland. You changed my life for the better and made me feel comfortable and welcome through my entire visit.
