I arrived to Portland on November, I didnt know anybody and I was excited to start my new professional life on a new city. After having an unpleasant experience with another company I came across Campus Point and I am so incredibly happy I did. Since the beginning they understood my skills, the kind of jobs I was looking for and they really emphasize on knowing you as a person (personally and professionally), I got great jobs, made some great connections and met great people. Finally, I would like to give a big thanks to Avi and Sacha they where always making sure I felt comfortable and happy with my jobs. Thanks Campus Point!
My experience with CampusPoint has been very positive. IMO they are a great agency with connections to a lot of great employers in and around Portland. One of the refreshing ways they are different than other staffing agencies is they offer opportunities well suited to a wide variety of college majors beyond Business/STEM (English/Philosophy majors could even work with them). It can be tough to make the transition from school to the workforce and I wish I had known about their services much earlier! My account manager, John, has been great to work with so far and I feel supported by the organization to succeed and move my career forward. If you are/were a motivated student but are feeling a little lost in your transition into the work world, you owe it to yourself to reach out to these guys! (Havent been compensated to say any of this)
I am so grateful for CampusPoint and their staff! Working with CampusPoint has been an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The recruiters are friendly and put a lot of care into finding you a position that’s a good fit. I found them when I had no job and no direction and they have given me both. They set me up with an amazing company where I was later hired on as a permanent employee, and have had several promotions within since then.I love my job and the career path I’m going down and I thank CP for paving the way! I highly recommend their services if you’re looking for employment and meet the criteria.
I worked with Sacha at CampusPoint to get my first job out of college, and it was an amazing experience! I was really nervous about not being able to find a job, but with the help of the recruiters at CampusPoint, I was able to land a great job quickly. The job application process can be stressful, isolating, and defeating. But, with CampusPoint, I had a recruiter who advocated on my behalf - and that made all the difference! If youre looking for a job in the PNW, then CampusPoint is a wonderful recruiting agency to work with.
Campus point was very helpful in getting me great opportunities as well as preparing me for their respective interviews with helpful and relevant information while also placing me in a culture that I think fits me well! Avi was super helpful and a great resource during the recruiting and employment process would definitely recommend them to anyone!
CampusPoint is a fantastic free resource for recent grads looking to get their first job. My first job was through CampusPoint and they made the process of getting hired easy and efficient. The recruiter took the time to get to know me and find a career path that matched my skill set. I would highly recommend them as a resource. They advocate on your behalf and its free - you have nothing to lose!
I used CampusPoint when I moved back to Portland, their free service made my transition into the Portland job market so efficient. After my initial interview and meeting with a recruiter, I created a profile on their site and was able to look at current open positions that werent posted anywhere else. CampusPoint continued to notify me with new opportunities and checked in on a regular basis. I truly felt like they didnt just want to place me, but they wanted to make sure it was a good fit for everyone. If I need to use a recruiting firm again, I will definitely be contacting CampusPoint!
Dont waste your time! I mistakenly got involved with a recruiter at this company even though I am strongly against working through temp agencies. I saw a job that I could not pass up so I went against my better judgement. The recruiter SASHA seemed nice enough when I first spoke to her promised I was the best fit she saw for the position and did an almost immediate phone interview. I had travel planned for the following week so she said that she would see if they were willing to wait and get back to me. She never got back to me unless I sat pestered her. My advice is if you see a job you want that they are posting try to go directly to the company. Cut out the middle man.
The bait-and-switch game is strong, everything else?... not so much.
My experience with CampusPoint was great. The downtown group interview was a good chance to work on interviewing skills and learn more about how CampusPoint works. I applied to several jobs and ended up interviewing at a company that fit me perfectly and I got the job! Avi was a pleasure to work with. Im glad I went to CampusPoint!
I used this recruiting agency last year. I think Avi and the rest of the staff are nice genuine people. But, I found their services to be somewhat ineffective and a waste of time. The group interview was kind of fun. I applied to 30+ jobs using their services and only one wanted to interview me. All of the jobs posted Claimed they wanted 5+ years relevant experience? I think the companies using campus point should use a different agency because they want pretty experienced applicants. For recent college grads thats a no go. Its about a year later and I am still looking for a decent paying job that suits my personality. Ill probably just go back to school prob on the east coast or Midwest. I got one interview out of using their services. It was helpful practice. So it was not all a waste of time. In the end though, I think a smaller percentage of people using their services actually get jobs. Which makes sense. As Avi and his team are interview brokers.
Sacha and Avi are great and very helpful with your job hunt. Within a week of sitting down to meet with them, I had 2 interviews and a job offer. After 5 months of job hunting with no success, one week with campuspoint and I have an awesome job with tons of mobility. Thanks again Campuspoint!
Highly motivated recruiters - Avi connected me with my current employer only a few weeks after my initial contact with Campus Point. The staff is a real pleasure to work with!
It was a big waste of time and I ended up finding work on my own. Some of the staff are unprofessional as they will share and gossip about the clients situation. For some reason they have this sense of entitlement where they made me feel like I was working for them and that they were doing me a favor when in reality I felt belittled and disrespected. The service is free for a reason I guess.
Im telling you right now, just so were perfectly clear. Campuspoint will NOT help you. Hell if anyone actually knows how they make money, but theyre a total waste of time. Most of their positions for recent college grads start at $11/hour and they can prevent you from applying to certain jobs just by being a member. As someone who is trying to break into the engineering field, they are an unmitigated waste of time. Dont even try.
--I highly recommend CampusPoint as a resource for any recent college graduate. My experience with CP has been overwhelmingly positive, and the job they found me has been likewise. Navigating the job terrain as a graduate means, for most of us, minimal work experience; thus, it was awesome having an agency that specifically handles job opportunities with this in mind. While the list goes on, there are several things about CP that made a particular impression on me:--(1) Process: I personally love CampusPoint’s method of matching graduates to jobs. Rather than contacting us with every opportunity that floats along, they list all of them on an easy-to-use, detailed website, that live-updates as jobs come in and out. This means YOU get to choose which jobs you’d be interested in; you get tons of information like whether the company is interested in hiring permanent positions and salary range, to boot.--(2) Expedience: They worked quickly. I found their website and signed up shortly after graduation…later that afternoon I received a very friendly phone call from Jen explaining how their service worked, and asking me to set up and interview with them. The interview was later that week, and after that I was off and able to search through their available job listings. Fast forward a few months: I’d found a temporary position elsewhere, but it wasn’t a good fit. I called Avi at CP and told him I’d like to start looking for jobs again. Only a few days later Avi called me specifically, and told me that I’d be a great fit for a job that had just been posted 10 minutes ago. I started my first day at that next job exactly 3 weeks later.--(3) Personability: Everyone was just really…nice. Each and every person I’ve interacted with at Campuspoint has been sincere, professional, and adaptable. My recruited gave me his cell number and I’d text him any time with questions, before and after I was hired. On top of all of this, most of the people at campuspoint (seemingly) are young: because they’ve recently gone through exactly what you’re going through, there is a level of solidarity and understanding I haven’t seen anywhere else.--There are numerous people at my current job who came from CampusPoint—nearly all of them have been offered full time roles, and all of them had the same great experience I had. If you’re on the fence, APPLY! It never hurts to put another line out there, and if your time with CampusPoint is anything like mine, you are going to arrive at your next job satisfied and poised for success.
This place helps college graduates find jobs but in no way does it seem like it actively pursues employing graduates. I did the first interview and no one contacts or keeps in touch with me to let me know whats going on based off of what Ive applied to as far as I know it could take months to be hired and in less you call in it doesnt seem like they care. The first interview process was in a group interview and it felt like a complete nightmare because they asked a bunch of questions that made most first people uncomfortable that wasnt even work related. Seemed more like personal questions then actual questions that pertain to each persons skill level. Even though its a free service I was rushed out of the office and wasnt really given a good impression. Not a good place to find a job. They seem like they dont know what they are doing when I applied it wasnt the service Id want from a job staffing agency. It really makes me feel horrible that places like this exist as they dont really offer the same service as other places do.
Waste of time. Never called or even updated the application status.
Staff is very friendly and helpful!
