Barber Cary always cancels and most times never even calls client to rebook… he cancelled 7times in a 4 month period lots of times at last minute. I don’t know how he still has a chair at influential.

Ace is the utmost professional. Gave me the cut I asked for and it looks great. Took my temp and asked me to fill out a contact tracing form (only business Ive been to that had one), asked that I wash my hands, and he wore a mask the entire time. Highly recommended black barber shop! Already booked my next appointment!

The influential grooming lounge is the upper echelon in barbershop experiences in Portland. I am greeted by all the barbers and stylists when I walk in the door and made to feel like I belong. My barber is attentive, inviting, and skillful in barbering and conversation. I always leave with more than just a haircut. I know I can get sound advise, encouraging words, solid, respectable and relevant conversation, and know that Im in the company of people who care about me beyond a fade or trim. The Influential is more than just a grooming lounge, its a place where I can be me and know Im valued as I am for who I am.

Got my hair cut. Didnt quite know what I wanted but my barber listened to me describe what I liked and it came out flawless. Very clean and professional. Master at his craft. Breath taking designs that will blow your mind! Not your average barbershop, very upscale but home like comfortable feel. Cut by MIKE. His cuts are second to none

When it comes to a great grooming experience, these folks are second to none. You are greeted by everyone in the facility upon entering and made to feel at home. The conversations that are had seem to always be on point and everyones point of view is respected and listened to. Top notch service!!!

Overpriced and not even that good. 1st time there was not a good experience and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, you can definitely find better in the area close by. Pricing system needs to be up front.

Okay-okay! Thats how I left feeling. So like many men & women I was having a bad hair day. I looked in the mirror thinking I was Tom Hanks from cast away. (Wilson!) Now Im on the bus my normal barbershop is too busy so Im stuck looking like DJ Khaleds illegitimate son. I look out the window and see this barbershop and decided its worth coming home late over. I walk in and was confused shop was so busy but the kindest lady asked me a simple question. Appointnent or walk in? Sure enough I say walk in. Turns out a chair just opened. My barber was the funniest I mean funniest barber ever. To my surprise all of them were comedians. The vibe felt less like a barbershop, more like a family reunion or just the most lit establishment ever! Now the dude I think was deray (my bad if I messed up the name) he asked how I want my haircut. Made a suggestion and he said let me add some sauce to it and do it a bit different. It was the best fade Ive ever had. So if you want to support local, black owned and in general the best of the best then go to influential grooming. Id even say this place is worth the wait.

Made my son an appointment for 3 and waited 15 mins because the person supposedly went to get food. A barber came back from his lunch and another little boy walked in with his parent as a walk in and went right to the chair to get a cut as me and my child still waits never again will I go back to this shop and if I could have given them a half of stare I would but it would not let me.

Well called the shop for a line up. Called at 9am phone off. Waited til 10am dude said come in at 2. My man showed up 10 mins early: no one says hello. Walk in; say 2 o’clock to my guy cutting hair. He Nods. Couple other ahead of me, wait my turn. 2:45 comes.... has cut 3 other people and two kids yet still nothing towards myself. Not even being Aknowledged. This isn’t the first time to the shop. Last time dude told me 6:30. I waited til 8:30 after hours for him to show. I respect the kids but u blew my whole day off more than once homie.
