Rick is a nice friendly guy. Its hard to have to give someone like this a terrible review, but I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what I have experienced! I read all of the reviews for Ricks business and they have all be positive and 5 stars even. I called to ask Rick how he felt about sharpening shears. He said that it was what he does all the time.I am a stylist and cutting hair is my business. This pair of shears were $400. Rick was aware and assured me that none of them are cheap! He showed me his machine and examined my shears. I told him that they were dull in a couple places and he agreed. He looked at them closely with his magnified head gear and assured me this would be no problem. He also said that this machine takes off minimum metal. Rick was easy to talk to and nice through the entire process.When he was done I got out my money and he asked me to try them out there. I agreed and began snipping some hair. Only the hair wouldnt cut! And the shears locked up. They would not even close! He said he would have to do it again. I allowed it, but in the end, after all of that my shears did the same thing and also seem to have a big chip in the blade!He then asked me if I had dropped them? I replied with a clear no. He said that he could not charge me for that. I agreed, but honestly had no words! My shears are ruined! I told him I would take them somewhere else and see if this could be fixed.I called him soon after to ask him if he had insurance. He said no. I decided to send him a text after that to say that I appreciate his effort, but you can not claim to be a professional and ruin peoples belongings. I also said that I would request he replace my shears if there is no way to fix them. He has not responded.

I called Rick in the morning to ask him to come to my office and sharpen my set of kitchen knifes. An hour latter her was here and took what was at best a set of butter knives and returned them back to factory edges. Highly recommend Rick

Rick was super accommodating and fit me in to his day around MY errands, the same day I called. He completed the task in less than an hour and the work was clean and sharp. Amazing great price and I will recommend and return to him for all my sharpening needs. He is friendly and his work area organized and clean. He does work from home so dont think youre lost when you arrive. Thank you Rick! Oh, and he does sharpen barber clippers/heads of electric hair trimmers. Most of the other shops in town did not.

I work as a tailor and having my scissors sharp and well-balanced is a matter of both precision, comfort, and safety. Rick sharpens all my scissors and he is a pro! He is very knowledgeable, but he also listens to find out exactly how I like the scissors balanced. I am so happy to find an old school craftsman like Rick and would recommend him to anyone!

Im very happy to have found Rick to shapers my shears. Im a hairstylist and its a bit nerve wracking having someone new work on your scissors. If they arent done right it can ruin your shears and they are very expensive. He did a great job on my shears and thinning shears too. Super nice guy, definitely recommend! Thanks Rick!

I am an quilter using appliques and it takes sharp tiny scissors to do a clean job. My scissors were very dull and I had a hard time finding someone to sharpen my small scissors, I called Rick and he said no problem bring them in. I had 3 pair and Rick sharpened them while I waited, they are the sharpest scissors I have ever had!!! I don;t even think they were this sharp when I bought them. Rick will get my business from now on and I will refer him to all my quilting friends.!!! Thank you Rick you did an excellent job.

Had two clipper blades sharpened. Done in no time, and they were SHARP! Rick is also a really nice guy.
