Dr.Cohrs is AMAZING. I went to a dentist that I trusted for 2 decades and when I moved to this area, I went through a few dentists until I found Dr.Cohrs. He is the Best dentist yet!! His work speaks for himself. My fillings are perfect. My crown is great too! There was never an adjustment period. It fit like a glove and the whole procedure was as painless as it possibly could be. I am about to be 73 years old. I have had extensive dental work over my life. Cavities were constant & plentiful as a child. Braces back in the early 1960s with oral surgeries. I count having had 10 crowns & 4 root canals among my dental adventures. One of my dentists, some 20 years ago said that I had some bombers (lol) the first time he examined me...and I he was good and I would grade him as a sold B in the work he did. Having had multiple dentists over the years. I would grade my past dental work between D+ to the sold B dentist. I have been going to Dr. Cohrs for 2 years now. With all the hours that I have spent in a dental chair, I have never had a dentist do gum line measurements and treatment, which is one of his preventative measures. There have been 2 procedures done of which I am highly satisfied with. his skills and communication. He grades out at a solid A from me!

After a somewhat urgent dental requirement, it was recommended that I contact Dr. Cohrs office. His polite staff was able to manipulate their busy schedule making time for Dr. Cohrs to see me the very next day. After the next scheduled appointment my crown replacement was completed that same day. The fact that Portage Dentistry has on site ability ability to manufacture and size crowns for a perfect fit was a huge time saver! My family and I currently are and will continue to be lifelong patients…, And I don’t mean maybe! Thank you Dr. Cohrs!

I have recently moved from Austin, TX and developed a toothache. I did some research and saw very good reviews for Dr. Cohrs. He and his staff were able to get me in on short notice to address an abscess and provide relief and medication to address infection caused by a nerve in molar that quit. Had my first ever root canal a week later that was nearly painless. Office staff was great as well. Dr. Cohrs was very methodical to ensure a successful outcome.Highly recommend him!

About a month ago I had an infected wisdom tooth and needed to see a dentist asap, I called around to three different dentists, who were all closed for lunch. I found Dr Cohrs’s office and they picked up right away. I was able to get in the next day at 2 pm. I had no wait at all to see someone, and was in and out quickly. I was on a lunch break, and expected to be back to work a little late, but was actually back early. I can’t recommend Dr Cohrs’s office enough, everyone was great!

I have always had exceptional service from Dr. Cohrs and his staff. Dr. Cohrs went out of his way on a weekend morning to get me scheduled for root canal the following Wednesday and Rx for pain meds and antibiotics, all on an early Saturday morning.

We have been patients for a few years. At beginning only do regular checkup and cleaning, theres no big issue.The recent experience let us feel very upset.My husband was persuaded to replace bridge. When remove old one, one tooth get broken by doctor!I was told theres cavity in one tooth(not molar) during x-ray, at that time I didnt feel anything, but agreed to fix it.After one year, filling got loose, I felt sensitive when drink or eat.I wen to clinic to get refilling, after that treatment, my gum get swollen, feel very uncomfortable when chewing.After a few months, the problem is still there, I need see nerve doctor to decide root canal. The treatment I received makes my tooth worse.

I have been going to the same dentist for several years (he was a family friend) however when I moved to this area the travel became too far! However I was nervous to switch dentists because not all of them are honest and kind. So I had my first appointment today and it was the best experience of my life! Dr. Cohrs was amazing! Dr. Cohrs is a great dentist and I like him. However all of the office staff is curt and unfriendly. I hated trying to schedule things through them as they were not accommodating at all. Since you dont actually see the dentist for regular appointments and not having good hygienists I decided to go elsewhere

We love it here! Everyone is so nice and goes above and beyond to make a trip to the dentist enjoyable. My kids actually look forward to going here. Dr Cohrs has several kids himself, so he is really good at using terms that calm kids and help them understand.

My son and I have been patients of Dr. Cohrs for the last few years and have been very happy with his services. This comes after seeing a family dentist for well over 15 years in the Sturgis area, receiving sub par services. Dr. Cohrs is thoughtful in my care and actually developed a treatment plan for an old filling - and I found out my bite was off causing ongoing damage to the front of my teeth. Had I not made the switch, I would have never known. Since then, Ive had my bite corrected and my smile is even more beautiful. The old crummy filling was replaced with a crown that was milled on the spot in 30 minutes instead of waiting a couple days to have it made somewhere else.Everything is better, even down to the basic cleanings. They have newer tools and processes, including a painless waterpick that my son loves to have his teeth cleaned with. The hygienists are thorough and friendly. The dental assistants at the front desk greet me by name before I check in and are excellent at working with my insurance coverage to ensure I dont receive any unnecessary bills or overages to my annual limits. Im very happy with everyone at Dr. Cohrs office and recommend you try it out. And yes, the office is lovely and comfortable, just the way it should be. Thanks Dr. Cohrs!
