I did a walk in today having tooth pain. 2 1/2 hrs i waited but I was good with that cuz I got 2 of my teeth pulled and I apprenticed it. Due to the been under staff thank you so much

My experience here as a new patient was excellent. All staff were professional, kind and friendly. I was very comfortable with every interaction. It was heart wrenching to learn that my insurance would not cover anything, but health first, right? As far as cost for excellent care I will just have to bite the bullet.

I went in without an appointment on an emergency basis and was told it could be a long wait, and it was possible I would not be seen. After a little over three hours I was seen and could not have been happier with each and every team member that I had contact with. The gal who took the x-rays was so pleasant (sorry that I do not remember her name), Sam and Dr. Chris were awesome. Diedre (?spelling) was great and explained the treatment plan and charges. I was able to have two extractions immediately and was set up for a crown. Thank you Aspen for squeezing me in!!

Ive never had such a great visit at a dentist where everyone treated me like family. They were so sweet answering any questions I had and encouraged me to do what must be done and have the rest of my teeth taken out without being knocked out. I definitely recommend this as the place to go. You might even get a hug or two like I did.

This was not like any dental visit Ive ever had. Was professional, friendly, and as painless a tooth extraction as Ive ever had. (Ive had a couple - wisdom teeth (2) and another broken tooth) Will recommend Aspen to anyone.

I had my cleaning scheduled for this morning at 9am when I received a call from the office at 8:40am telling me that the dental hygienist was running significantly behind and I would have to wait. I was already on my way so I sat outside in my car for 45 minutes. I went into the office and was told that the hygienist would not be able to see me because I came to the appointment 30 minutes after it was scheduled. I explained to them that I was not given a time to come in and they said they could reschedule my appointment for another time which was 26 days away.At my first patient visit I sat in the waiting room for a half an hour waiting on them, the day of my cleaning I get a call telling me the hygienist is supposedly running “15” minutes behind and won’t be seen. In the future Aspen Dental do not call when you are running behind if it’s going to make the client lose their appointment. I will not be returning!!!

They always seem to go out of their way to accommodate my needs.I have been pleased to be one of their patients for 13 years now.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have gone to Aspen Dental four times now and my experiences have gotten progressively worse until I decided I won’t be returning. At my last visit the wrong patient forms were given to the technician. I sat down in the chair and almost started to get numbed for a root canal (which I was NOT supposed to be getting). Everyone seems to be walking around without any idea which patient they have in their chair and who’s supposed to be doing what. The staff is very unprofessional and talks about video games, home life, etc. while working on your teeth. The last dentist I had (an older woman) left my filling with a huge gap that would fill with food. I ended up going to my old family dentist (an hour and a half away) to get it fixed. I also will be going back to him to fix another separate filling that a male dentist at Aspen Dental filled, which now causes me pain to chew with. I can’t say enough bad things about Aspen Dental. The one thing I liked was the front desk people. If only they could get real dentists to match the receptionists. Learned my lesson, never go to a “chain” dentistry.

Theyre so disorganized. I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed from there, but because of the doctor making a mistake I was not able to. It was months before they could even get me in. Instead I was told they couldnt perform the procedure on the day off and that I would have to wait on my insurance and schedule another appointment. I ended up finding a different dentist to get the procedure done. The doctor there doesnt even look like he wants to be there at all. Terrible service and they are not helpful at all. I had to call multiple times for them to finally get some paperwork submitted. Furthermore, I even contacted the customer service and they werent able to help much either. Dont waste your time going here. I get everyones experience is different, but mine was awful and I will never be going back.

The office was a little understaffed so the wait time was a little long. But the staff that was there were all amazing and really kind! Very pleased with my visit 👍

The staff was very professional and friendly. From the time I arrived and checked-in from the parking lot, the staff was very organized and thorough. I new what to expect every step of the way. Also, I appreciated the precautions that were taken to make sure everyone was protected during this pandemic. The only constructive feed back I would give, is for the rush to pay, even with an insurance and couple of more visits. Up selling, and not prioritizing on the patient reason of being there in the first place. Very rushed. Especially the admin manager. Be nice to your guests. Other than that Dr. Ryan, Cameron, the lady with the short hair are phenomenal.

My hygienist is always great. My only disappointment is the billing department. The way they treat the patient who is a regular client for over a year is the same with a new one! Always in hurry to take the payment and wasnt given the complete explanation about why my treatment price is different from the My previous visit.

My baby girl had an emergency and even though the lady Jessica took my call and told me she put her in for 7:45 the following day, I arrived to find out she never did put my daughter in the system. I was impressed that they managed to fit her in. Becky showed us hospitality and helped us feel comfortable. This was our first visit and although were overall satisfied, I gotta give the most recognition to Dr. Ryan👏😁. I took my baby to the dentist twice before we moved to Michigan and Dr. Ryan took care of her the best and on our first visit at that! May GOD ALMIGHTY bless you Dr. Ryan for giving my baby princess the relief she needed.

Im so happy I had to bring my teeth back because they didnt get fixed correctly, but this time they are perfect,I think better than when I got them years ago. I want to thank the lady who helped me, this ment alot to me. Thank you😊

The staff were wonderful! I was cared for at every step with compassion as they all understood my abject fear of this visit. Even though this was only to discuss possible future treatment, I was still very nervous. Overall, a very good experience.My only reason for limiting my response to 4 stars was that the website was not very forthcoming with regards to pricing. If things were in such small print that someone as detail oriented as I am couldnt find them, then the print wasnt there or was too small to see.However, if youre looking for a friendly, clean, upbeat dental office, this one meets that definition.

Very good service. The dentist is great and his employees are wonderful. They are always concerned about your oral health and the problems you may be having. They also take all precautions during this pandemic, made me feel very safe. The only small problem I have is it takes so long to get an appointment, other than that, thanks Aspen dental for all you do.

I had a tooth extraction. I was super nervous about coming in because I hadnt been able to see a dentist in years, and I had broken a tooth.They were compassionate, patient and informative. Willing to work with me financially.And the procedure went so amazingly well...Seriously. 20 min. No pain. And I feel so much better.If youre looking for a dentist, or need emergency with done, these guys are worth your time and money. I couldnt be happier.

Not sure why I cant schedule a cleaning and exam on the same day. She said its been over a year and you need an exam I said Im happy to do both but would prefer to do them on the same day. She kept repeating they havent seen me in over a year and I would need to call another location. Customer service is horrible.

They did the best they could with Covic-19 precautions in this office. I wish I could have gotten in sooner for an appointment (not till mid-May) but other than that, they were all nice and helpful.

Amazing experience, I called with terrible tooth pain and no insurance on a Wednesday. They got me in Thursday morning and they offer a free initial visit for new customers(or something like that, I didn’t pay anything for the initial appointment and X-rays), they determined the work I need and also prescribed antibiotics for the infection. My extraction appointment was supposed to be the following Tuesday but I called them Friday morning in a ton of pain and begged them to pull the teeth that day. They were able to fit me in and I left feeling so much better. The assistants and ladies in the front were also amazing. I felt genuinely cared for and their empathy and customer service was top notch. I wouldn’t have waited 9 years to go to the dentist if I would have known I could go to one like this. Very thankful for them!

As someone who actually likes going to the dentist, I am more critical and I had a fantastic first time experience at Aspen. I appreciate their Covid-19 protocols to ensure the safety and clean environment for their patients. I worked with Layla during my consultation and she was incredibly nice, easy to talk with, and made sure I was comfortable during x-rays. I worked with Tammy after my consultation and not only was she friendly and very personable, she explained my documents and services thoroughly so I had no questions. I’m glad I made the switch to Aspen and hope to continue to look forward to my visits.

Ryan and the team at Aspen Dental are truly exceptional! Usually going to the dentist is awkward, sometimes painful and really you just can’t wait to get out of the chair. Started of the this with bar none a superb teeth cleaning experience from the very best Dental Hygienist Keri ( very attentive and superb bedside manner) who single heartedly restored and elevated my mediocre like for Aspen to loved. The cherry on top was Dr. Chris and the sweet and very professional X-ray tech... The Dental rooms and the entire Facility are always clean and the staff always cordial.

So I knew going in a had some problems. The last Dentist I went to (not too far from Aspen) was a complete knob. So I went in kinda skeptical; also I hate dentists. So in my quest to find a dentist office with less A-holes I came across Aspen through a recommendation. They were super polite and friendly. I havent had an offical procedure done yet. But I have faith in them to not cause physical injury to me with that pointy gimmick unlike the last dentist (again for anyone wondering who that may be ill just say they are not too far from aspen) just go here.I also forgot to include that I definitely feel like they genuinely care about their jobs. From desk clerk to xrays to dentist.

Aspen Dental did a great job they were very careful about making sure that I didnt have a temperature and had asked the right questions before I even went in the office. They are very professional and considerate. I had a cleaning and exam and she offered tips on how to floss properly. I mentioned I had a problem with a tooth they did x-rays and was very patient when I started gagging.I feel very comfortable around them.

A few days after my husband received his dentures, he had two areas where the dentures were rubbing the inside of his mouth raw/cutting into his gums. When we called on May 4th to schedule an appointment to have his mouth looked at and the dentures trimmed, they couldn’t get him in until June 30th. Now, my husband is in a lot of pain, can barely eat, and has to wait almost two months to be seen. We are very unhappy!

Wonderful experience. When my son was 5, he had a very bad dental experience at a different practice. This caused him to have a lot of dental anxiety. He is now ten and has been afraid of dentists for 5 years---until yesterday!! My son needed to have a few baby teeth extracted that were not coming out on their own. The procedure went very smoothly. My son was even laughing and joking with the dentist and hygienist during the procedure. Dr. Halbower and all of the staff were very kind, professional and supportive. After leaving the office, my son called his grandmother and said, It was fun. I like the dentist now. I am grateful to the entire staff at Aspen dental in Portage, MI.

The care I received was good, but I feel with the Covid going on not all wore there PPE like they should of been. As far as cleanliness it could of been better that’s for sure. I definitely would go back to my old dentist if they were in network 😩.

There was no follow up call as was informed they would do due to system being down. So I was left un-informed about my visit.

After calling about 7 places for an emergency dental Appointment this place was the ONLY place that said “yes come in at this time and we’ll see what’s going on”. With everything going on, I understand appointments were rescheduled, and I’m in no way trashing any of the other dentists offices for not being able to take me in. However it was a very nice feeling that despite having other appointments, Aspen Dental was able to let me walk in and get checked out. Friendly service, welcoming feeling, and I was out of there in like an hour. 10/10 would very much recommend this place.

They’re super disorganized. No one at the front desk asked about my insurance which had changed since the last time I was there. I was there to get updated X-rays and I was told by the dentist I needed three fillings. The x-ray woman was super nice but the actual dentist seemed like she had short patience (which really doesn’t fly in health care. you are literally providing care for someone else’s body). I expressed concerns about my teeth grinding making my bottom teeth crooked and I was told “I don’t see any evidence of grinding but, you’re the one living in that body.” My bottom teeth were perfectly straight and now they’re not so that seems like evidence to me but whatever. They take me over to talk with a financial counselor/advisor so I can know the costs for the fillings. I have the wait a couple minutes for her to get off the phone with a personal call. Then, she proceeds by looking through another patients chart like an airhead. She tells me I need nine fillings when the dentist only told me about three. She claims there was some fillings I was supposed to get done a while ago and shows me which teeth. I had those fillings done in 2018/2019. She had the nerve to state that I didn’t when I’m pretty sure I know what happened because it’s my mouth. I’m going somewhere else to get another opinion. I no longer trust them which is sad because I’ve been going there for years. Idk if it’s COVID or what but they seem stressed and disorganized.

I thought Aspen would be a sub-par dental facility since it is a chain. WRONG!Dr. Ryan took a lot of time helping me develop a plan with a mess of a mouth. He didnt charge me for xrays in order to get a better view of the issues (the ones he had he poured over but they were not clear enough). He did not ever make me feel rushed. I felt he cared about my situation.Dr. Chris was amazing!! He removed three teeth. He and his wonderful assistant, Kennedy, spent well over an hour to carefully explain, address my concerns, and help make me as comfortable as possible. I had many shots and never felt a thing. He was personable and professional.In the office, the girl at the front was friendly.... super important to me when chosing a provider. Tammy was very friendly on the phone, and Courtney helped me navigate through the details of my treatment.Ive seen several dentist over the years. The last prosthodontist, Dr. Humphries, was a nightmare, and I left with worse issues.

The dentist works fast, and they did my x-ray and evaluation for free even without insurance. The staff was polite and on task. I was able to get my emergency tooth extractions done same day, likely due to cancellations, but still, I was in and out in 2 and a half hours.Edit: second visit, another extraction. The Doc is still fast. Service is consistent. Called in the morning and got it out same day. Thank you!

Very disturbed and creeped out after my visit here. While receiving a filling,I said “ouch.” The dentist at the time responded, “did that hurt? You liked it.”I was speechless and disgusted. Utterly unprofessional and violated.

My daughter and I switched to this office because my old office I went and changed their prices without any notice. We have had good treatment and the doctor was wonderful and very personable. However, this last visit for my second cleaning, the girl looked at the TV more than my teeth. I am used to the hygienist asking me if my teeth feel clean after they finish and she did not even ask. I will probably be returning to my old office as I prefer a more personable approach.

I was not happy with the DR. Who was an older women. She never talked to me everything was told to me by the tech. She never said anything like she didn’t have a care in the world about my son.NOT HAPPY AT ALL. He was not given anything for pain or antibiotic. I was only given two options at the time. To pull my 16 yr old sons tooth or pay for a root canal and then he could have something.By the way $1200 like I have that on hand. What ever I chose to do my son was not taken care of. I am really contemplating not going back .Update:::Called back to complain spoke to a male dr and was given another alternative to help. At least he is trying to help. Thank you.

Arrived this morning with a severe infection, swollen check, chin and lip. Ive always have been super afraid of dentists for whatever reasons, but Dr. Ryan and his associates made me feel super comfortable and during the procedure I felt no pain whatsoever! 12 hours later now, the swelling on my lip is down and Im feeling a heck of a lot better!

If you are going to an Aspen clinic, the portage location is the BEST location to go to. I initially started my treatment and plan at the Battle Creek location and it was so awful I was about to forfeit my $3,000 down payment (I paid out of pocket, no insurance) if I couldn’t transfer to Portage. They didn’t care, made so many mistakes and were just rude in general. I’m so happy that I switched because everyone from the front desk to the lab technician, Dr. Anderson and dental assistant (Angel I think?) were so great! At every step, each staff member genuinely cared about my being happy with the process and that I was comfortable with my treatment. AVOID BATTLE CREEK!!! GO TO THE SOUTH WESTNEDGE LOCATION!!!! They should have the portage staff retrain the Battle Creek staff. Just an idea lol.

My exam and xray went smoothly thanks to a great team. Deidre did an excellent job of making my treatment affordable. I especially liked the lab team, Andrea and Greg. I know they will make me a really nice denture.

I went to.Aspen Dental because I needed dentures. The support staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The doctors were kind, as well as professional, and explained the processes as they worked, making me feel more relaxed. I also had the mini-pin implants for my lower dentures and everything went wonderfully. I am extremely pleased with Aspen Dental and I highly recommend them for dentures, implants, and any other dental need.

I had the best experience I have ever had at a dentist in my life...and I am not a dentist fan. My past dentist retired (sadly), so I have been hoping to find a dentist I could trust. Well, today I had Dr. Mary, and she truly was fantastic. I have a child-sized mouth. She recognized this quickly and used a pediatric attachment. She was quick, efficient, and pleasant. I was so relieved and pleased. I was numbed so terribly that I felt that horrible feeling for hours after either so the assistant was good also. Yes, I went to the dentist.....and I am smiling! :)

The hygienist does an exceptionally thorough cleaning. Is very friendly. She always greets me with a smile and is mindful of my sensitive teeth. I really appreciate that.

This place is the absolute worst 😫 5,000 to pull my sisters teeth and have new dentures right then, having as much problems they had removing the old teeth and all of the infection that was leaking out and the amount of obvious pain she was in the dentist was rude never offered Nitrous oxide while in office for her pain 😡 never would I recommend this place to ANYONE!

Having 30 teeth removed would be scary to anyone, but Angel and Dr. Ryan were not only professional, they reassured me and cared how I was feeling emotionally, as well as physically. I know this is only the first step in my life as a new denture wearer, but I have full confidence that I will be taken care of and look forward to sharing my new beautiful smile again. I had needed some serious dental work done and was nervous and self conscious. They gave me my smile back and everyone has noticed. I didnt feel as though they were judging me for my past choices, only that they were there to help. They often get a bad rap from people and honestly I think its due to how the customers treat the employees or the policies their company enforces. I am forever grateful.

Pros: highly clean environment, all of the latest technologies.Cons: customer service and patient care is awful. You feel like you are just a customer and not someone who is known by their dentist and hygienist. They are always running late but never apologize. They dont ask you for your preference of polish flavor. They dont even offer you the traditional goody bag. And when its all done, they make you sit in a chair to check out and wait on the office manager, who is typically rotating between 3 different chairs covering different aspects of the office.The idea of retail dentistry is actually a great idea and probably can drive down overall costs, but theyve got to get their customer service and patient care down. People dont go to the dentist because they want to. So at least make the experience pleasant for us.

Repaired tooth and filling after a botched job at FHCTammy and Autumn checked me in and set me up with something called CareCredit that helped me balance finances and wellness.Ann took my xrays and was very funny.Sam sucked up my spit with the spit hose and helped me avoid that gag reflex thing.Dr Ryan was as gentle as a lamb when his hands were in my mouth but was very hard to look at, almost took rating down to a 4 but maintained it with bedside presence.Teeth feeling good, plan to visit again👍🏽

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Sorry but considering ANY dental experience, for some of us, is rather unpleasant before we even get in the door, no 5th star. Pain, panic and the sense of I-want-to-get-out-of-here rule. But have to say, Aspen made the whole ordeal less unpleasant than I expected. Also, the facilities seem very up-to-date, technically. WAY better than my last dentist (on a truck in LA, didnt speak much English, probably not even licensed, said 1 cavity was OK & didnt treat it). I feel I can rely on the Aspen staff to take good care of my needs.

Well it’s been a while since I’ve been to the dentist. The reason is everyone I go to the dental hygienists are rude and basically run me away.I first showed up at Aspen Dental and had to do my paperwork from my vehicle due to the COVID..,I understand so it was Ok but it helped as the receptionist was super and very kind.I didn’t have to wait long and was greeted by Ann who is a wonderful Filipino lady that took very good care of me and made my visit very enjoyable.After xrays I was taken back to view xrays and have the dentist take a peek. He was very professional and the whole process made me very comfortable even going to the dentists which I absolutely hate.I would give Aspen 5 stars as everyone there was kind, friendly and made you feel comfortable.Thanks
