Great shop. Pepboys messed up my fuel pump and refused to cover their warranty. They put in a new one and got me back on the road real quick. Always going to go to small repair shops from now on.

Called Chris Monday morning in need of a tune cause the car was very sluggish over 2k RPM. Also had a oil leak. Got in Monday afternoon. Car fixed and ready to go before 5!!! I took my car with a light on only to find out it essentially needs a new engine & isn’t worth fixing. The employees were stand up people who called me very apologetically & did not charge me even though they ran diagnostics because he didn’t want to put “salt in the wound”. It was the kindest gesture during a tough blow and I’ll be back! (But hopefully not too soon!)

Chris took great care of us when we needed our brakes repaired. We were able to get an appointment the next business day. He kept us informed every step of the way and the work was finished more quickly than we expected. Fair prices and very professional. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Dave has worked on our family cars for what seems like forever. My grandpa oswalt and my dad is the one who got me hooked going here. And now my mom and step dad are also. Amazing people amazing service. Dave is the most honest person Ive ever known when it comes to price and working on your vehicle. Owner of a 60’s muscle car. Car was towed to Shaver Road Auto at midnight. Next day Chris and his service techs looked to find why the car lost all power and would not run. They found the problem quickly, made the repair and got me back on the road that day. They explained the issue in detail.

Update: The owner called me almost right away to apologize profusely for the behavior. He seems like a great guy who cares about making sure customers receive the best service possible. Very admirable.The man on the phone hung up on me. So incredibly rude. I was stressed because I was having problems with my car and was trying to explain my problems and the man interrupted me and then I started to say something and he hung up on me.

I have taken my car here whenever I need major work done. My alternator blew out at 1pm and they had it fixed and back in my hands before 5pm same day. Great, fast service and very reasonable prices. I never feel like I am being cheated or lied to like at the dealership.

I’ve brought my cars here ever time I’ve had a issue and they’ve always be able to diagnose the problem with out adding a bunch of things that don’t really need to be done. Great prices too!

Had a problem with broken/locked lug nuts and rear wheels that could not be removed. Two other shops were afraid to even attempt to fix this but these guys had it drilled out and repaired in a couple of hours. No sweat, no delay, and Im back on the road.

Selfishly, I hesitate to put this review on here because I dont want shaver road automotive to get too busy to do my repairs.This is the most outstanding auto service company you could ever expect to find. I literally cannot think of a single bad thing about these guys, or a single thing they could do better.Truly, this is the gold standard of how a repair shop should be ran. I daresay there is no one better. Anywhere.

Tl;dr: Had a coolant leak on a road trip, they quoted me 3x a reasonable price. Fixed myself in an hour.I got a coolant leak when I was on a road trip in the winter, and Ryders just happened to be the closest shop to me that was open. The staff was friendly, and even got me in right away even though they had other jobs in line. The leak is a common issue with GM engines, so I know exactly what it takes to fix it. They quoted me for three hours of labor plus parts (around $325). Knowing how high it was, I called another shop and they quoted me for one hour plus parts. That was not at all unreasonable, but I decided to just got to the local autozone, bought the part (about $12), borrowed the tools, and had the job done in about an hour.I cant help but feel like they were just trying to take advantage of a young couple on a road trip. The only reason Im giving them two stars is because of how friendly they were.
