Josh did such a great job. We called in the morning because we had water all over the basement. They arrived by early afternoon and quickly took care of the problem. They were super friendly and easy to work with.

What a wonderful company & employees!!! The morning I called with water heater issues, a tech was at my home 2hrs later. Unfortunately the diagnosis was that I needed it replaced; which didn’t surprise me because the old one was leaning sideways and about 20 yrs old. In the heat of the summer, my elderly moms blower went out on her furnace leaving her without her air conditioning. Gave a call to Dan Wood and with a couple days someone was out to take a look and determine we could replace the blower but it wont fix the problem that caused it to go out in the first place. After a conversation with Mike we decided the best route would be to replace the furnace. We were told it would be a couple weeks which was quite disappointing since more heat was on the way. I received a call less than a week later saying they were coming back to her house and unknown to me they were able to get a new furnace in less than a week later. I wasnt there when they showed up to put it in, but received a very happy phone call from my mom telling me that she now had a cool house. A few days later I found out that my mom had gone down to the basement to see the new furnace and had a hard time getting up the stairs and Mike went out of his way to help her up the stairs. I appreciate the extra compassion that my mom received. We will definitely continue to use Dan Wood for future needs.

There was a lot of extra work installing AC in an older home. Don surveyed the situation and made good choices to fit the need. He committed his time to complete the job efficiently.

I needed a gas line to be stabilized. Alan was very professional and friendly. Once he diagnosed the issue he also went ahead and got the part and made the repair that day versus rescheduling a different day (as a previous company did). He did a fantastic job and I was very pleased with the service. I would highly recommend.

Jeremy came out to repair our basement shower faucet which was only running hot water. He was upfront and honest about what the possibilities could be once he took parts off to take a look. Ended up needed to cut out a panel and replace entire valve and faucet. It was quite a job, but he worked hard all day and stayed until we had a working faucet again. He was also so personable and just a joy to have around. He even brought our dog a treat! Jeremy is hard working and good at what he does. We will definitely call Dan Wood again for any future services and request Jeremy if at all possible. Highly recommend! Great and smooth experience!

We were without heat and worried the weather would quickly change, as it often does in April. I chose Dan Wood because of the number of positive reviews posted by others online and the length of time they have been serving the local community.Pros: Someone came out right away and I was told they could start the work the next day (April 8) and be finished in three days. Two guys worked on the project. They arrived each weekday between 8 and 9 and finished up between 5 and 6. It was not made clear to me at the time of the estimate that the three days would not include the weekend, but I understood. They were friendly and pleasant and cleaned the house up well each day after finishing. I felt safe with them in my home.Cons: The project was finished on April 14, much later than expected. We had asked them to be careful with cutting the drywall to aid us in fixing it. Unfortunately, it looked terrible.There was one place that needed an exposed pipe. They told me they could put it in two places about four inches from one another. One place was more difficult for them, but would be easier to hide. I asked them to put it in the higher, more difficult place and they agreed. When the project was finished the pipe was in the lower place and is going to take much more work on our part to hide.We had TWO gas leaks following the project being finished. Dan Wood sent someone out to fix the first one. The second was at one of the new connections they put on an appliance. We were able to tighten it on our own. We had Consumer’s come out to test for leaks, since Dan Wood’s test apparently missed two leaks. Luckily, Consumer’s found no more leaks.We were told that the project required a permit that cost $250 when we booked the job. After it was complete, we were told it hadn’t needed a permit, so they did not pull one after all. We were offered a permit after the fact or a refund of the permit fee. We chose the refund, but were only refunded $80, not the $250.Upon completion of the job, I was given a receipt that stated they would return to touch up the paint on the pipes outside the house when it was a warmer day. Three weeks later no one had returned. I called and left a message. I requested a call back with when I could expect the job to be finished up and asked if they could remove the oil stains that were left in my driveway from when they cut the pipe.It has now been five weeks since they charged my credit card for a complete, yet no one has returned to touch up the paint or remove the oil stains, and my phone call was also not returned.I expected more from a company with such a strong reputation and am sadly disappointed. I would not recommend them for anything other than a small and quick job.

Alan from Dan Wood was AWESOME!! The caps hardly do him justice. He was lighthearted and funny. He worked and talked about the issues with the thermocouple and patiently answered my myriad of questions. I would recommend Dan Wood and Alan to anyone.

My antiquated electrical service was totally out of code and needed to be replaced. Plus I had some light fixtures that weren’t working and outlets that needed to be replaced. Brad was there every morning on time, three days in a row, always cheerful! I was very impressed with his knowledge of electrical systems. Everything was done and any mess was cleaned up before he left. Thanks, Brad, for upgrading my house so well!

Chris was very helpful with our soft water and well issues. He not only addressed our issues he educated us and made recommendations for the future. Chris would get 5 stars, but because when the Dan Wood company installed the system we were not advised properly.

John showed up with his partner at 8 am Monday. Installed upgraded meter, panel, ground and gfci in bath & kitchen. He was here until 6:30 pm and came back the next day to finish up. The guys were professional, competent and did what they told me they would do. I was very pleased.

Dan Wood company completely replaced all plumbing in my house. They are EXCELLENT. They do a great job - so no worries about quality or things going wrong. If you want the job done right - call Dan Wood. Justin and Rich are both GREAT. I would not use any other company for plumbing jobs. Honest and dependable.

Service was for well pump and gauge replacement. Servicemen were efficient, informative, respectful, honest, and focused. Based upon our experience, we will use this company for any job they service.

My husband called, and we patiently waited for days as we kept being rescheduled to have a tech come and look at our AC unit. We told them before they even came out what a previous tech had told us the issue was, however he was told once the tech was there that we had to have a TRACE amount of freon put into the system to track the leak. Not only did they NOT put a trace amount in, they filled and pressurized the system to find the leak. Now we have paid for a call out fee and to have the system pressurized to find out, that we indeed do have a crack on the core, and that it will need to be replaced.... Shocking... that is EXACTYLY what we told you was the problem. Not only will we never use this company, but I advise you to use a local company with techs who listen to the people they are servicing.

I have used Dan Wood a number of times for various services. Service providers do quality work and are always professional and friendly. The company provides great customer service and awesome communication.

Gary came in and did a great job helping me fix the power to an outbuilding. Had another electrician provide a quote, and they suggested retrenching 150+ft and laying new wire. Gary was able to come in and correctly identify the problem, which laying new wire as the other electrician had suggested wouldnt have even fixed!! Gary quite literally saved me thousands, and he was able to fix the issue right on the spot. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Should have wrote this sooner. Used this guys last summer for plumbing,(complete re working of the pipes), water heater, softener system, they replaced my well, as in dug a new one....and inspected my HVAC to be sure it was running right. Wanted to get an estimate to install gas line to the range. Technician showed up and provided an estimate which I agreed to and had him move ahead with install. On the day of install another technician shows up and surprisingly quotes a second price which is much higher, to do the same exact job. I cancelled the work because of the inconsistencies in pricing from their technicians.

We had some plumbing issues that hadn’t been addressed since we bought our house 25 years ago. I thought we’d have to wait a while to schedule our work, but the office called & said a technician ( Charles Wilkins) could be on his way. He got there promptly, looked at my concerns, and wrote up three proposals on how to address our issues. He went to work immediately. A large part of the work was extremely difficult due to age and limited access, but CW was able to deal with the challenges. There was even a chance we’d have to go without a shower while we waited for parts, but Dan Wood found the parts and CW did the work. Another thing I really liked was the price quote. The price was solid, regardless of how long the work took. I would recommend Dan Wood to anyone needing plumbing work done. They completed all of my plumbing jobs within 5 hours.

Messaged them to get an estimate on excavation work, they said they could provide an estimate by email since I had detailed notes and line video from roto rooter. I had to follow up twice by email and called 3 more times to follow up, and on 3 separate occasions I was told he will have the estimate to you tomorrow.I still dont have an estimate and after being strung along the 3rd time I gave up on them and got other estimates, I wouldnt trust them to do the work anyways based on the customer service experience. But taking them at their word for weeks delayed getting the work scheduled with another company. Really bad experience with a company that I thought had a great reputation

Had a small plumbing job.. Called Dan Wood based on many reviews seen on Google... The person came and checked out what needed to be done hardly for 10 mins and gave me quote for a 3hr job told me to schedule again for work to be completed, .. $89 charged for the tech to show up was not taken out from the final price.. though they were upfront to say $89 will be charged for coming out and if you agree your issue will be fixed there itself but $89 for just looking at your issue is too much if you are not going to do the job that day.. Hired another contractor who put in 1 1/2hr which was what was required for the job resulted with much reasonable price than what Dan wood quoted....Update 03/22/21 - Dan Wood Service manager called me and asked for the feedback to understand the reasoning behind my review. They refunded back $89 for the service call as well. It was a nice gesture on their part to reach out for the feedback and respond to the review of an unhappy customer. I have amended my review. I wish them the best.

Adam and James came to our home to repair/replace several outlets and a switch. We rescue animals so it was a bit of a mess. Sorry about that guys. Our home is about 35 years old as well. We had approximately 9 outlets, one switch, and a stove outlet replaced. We are so thankful for the hard work and knowledge in restoring use! I am able to cook without hesitation about outlets and tripping GFCIs. I wii/do recommend for any service necessary. They explain what is needed, come up with a plan, and execute. Adam was trying to make a plan as well to save cost. Job well done!

We have used Dan Wood Heating and Plumbing several times over the years and have had excellent care from the technicians. Most recent was converting a boiler system to a 95% efficient compressor system. Which we are very pleased and excited about. They have also hooked us to a soft water 💦 system earlier and another time a new well pump. I highly recommend them. 5 stars for sure.

Terrible first impression with this company. Had Noon appt. and had to call them at 12:30. They said running behind but be there by 2pm. Got a call from dispatcher 30 minutes later and said they were now booked for the day and would not be out. I told them its a second home and we are not always there and talked to manager who gave an oh well response. Wasted a whole day waiting around. I guess they have so much business they dont care.

Very courteous and professional. They installed a dishwasher, two toilets, and fixed a water line going into our new refrigerator. Everything was completed with utmost care and to our satisfaction. They were careful, wore masks and booties, and cleaned up after themselves too. We were very impressed. I know their prices are a bit more than what other companies charge, but when it comes to water and electrical you want to make sure you have the best out there because you get what you pay for! Alan did a great job for me, but your prices were way to high $463.00 plus $89.00 for service. The job took about 11/2 hours. One 5’ pipe, weather ring, and a cab. I won’t use you again.

I called Dan Wood this morning due to emergency well issues (no running water!) and they had a technician, Derrell at my house after an hour. Everyone on the phone and in person was friendly, helpful, and reassuring. Derrell diagnosed the issue right away and walked me through options to my comfort level. He then gave me some time to consider the best plan of action and after thoughtful consideration, we moved forward with having my well pump and amp switch replaced. He was efficient, friendly, and so easy to work with. I appreciate the time he took to earn my trust and especially the quality job he provided. I will definitely use and recommend Dan Wood again! Dont waste your money. They provide no information once your problem is diagnosed. I had additional questions and have been waiting over a week for a call back. Since that time Ive found a reliable business that explained everything to me and estimate for repairs. Unfortunately I had to spend more money to accomplish what Dan Wood should have done for me. Do your research. I will let everyone I know not to use this company. Very disappointed.

My technician, Adam, arrived on time and was very friendly. He fixed my electrical outlets and lighting and explained the entire process.

Rob K, an HVAC man, was polite, personable, and professional. My LP gas company had discovered that the gas line running through my 18 crawlspace was leaking when they came out to fix a leak at my tank. My crawl space was largely inaccessible, but Rob K. managed to cheerfully run a new flexible gas line through it, despite the fact that at times he could not even use the creeper, as there was only room for his body! The Dan Wood Company in general was polite and responsive to my problem and to the fact that I needed heat and water a.s.a.p..
