I took some vintage velvet fabric and they made me some beautiful throw pillows. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. The place was immaculate. Everything was in perfect order very clean. I love a well kept business. I will be returning to get two more pillows made. I just went back today and picked up my other two pillows and they were just as lovely as the others fabulous friendly people recommend anyone get anything fixed here. They also make adorable saints masks, among many other masks.

Absolutely wonderful tailor, seamstress, and alterations expert. Extremely reasonable prices, prompt service and pleasant experience!!! I will use them for everything as I like ally clothes to have that tailored fit. She even does cobbling!!!! I cant say enough nice things about her.

I was told to come back today to pick up my items. The lady doesn’t speak English very well. I went to pick it up today and the lady asked me for a ticket. She didn’t give me a ticket when I dropped off. But she insisted on saying that she never forgets to give tickets. She did not give me a ticket. She wanted to argue instead of just finding my order. Then she handed me the bag all sloppy with my clothes hanging out and holding one handle. She was so disrespectful. I would never ever ever ever use this business for alterations or anything.

This place is amazing. No frills but they do GREAT work! After a horrible experience last year with a high end tailor recommended by a friend in the wedding industry - who charged me hundreds of dollars to alter my wedding dress, but then messed up the timeline, wasted my time with multipe fittings, AND to top it all off she ruined the beading on the edges and refused to take responsibility for it or give my any of my money back - I decided to try this place instead and I was so pleasantly surprised!! The prices were beyond reasonable, very affordable, and Mrs. Van clearly knew exactly what she was doing. She hemmed my bridesmaid dress and when I want to pick it up it was almost perfect, but still a little lose in one area. She had it hemmed by the very next day and only charged $5 for the secondary adjustment. She is so sweet, and the dress fits PERFECTLY now. Like a glove. I will never go to any other tailor again!

I’ve had a wide assortment of men’s clothes altered by Ms. Van — fleece sweater jackets/vests, bathrobes, sportcoats, slacks, and a tuxedo. Work has always been professional, ready when promised, and competitively priced. I’ve been to several alteration shops, and Van’s is my go-to.

She did a great job (also quickly) in sewing and hemming a pair of jeans that should have been replaced years ago. Vans is very fair priced and the job done is over the top for what the amount they ask for and the great quality of work they do!

I use them for my dry cleaning and Ive had many alterations done.

I hate to reveal my best source in New Orleans but its definitely Miss Van. She can do anything and truly knows how to sew.
