We hired Hughes initially for our termite inspection before moving to Florida. The scheduling process was very smooth and the office staff friendly and polite. Once we moved in we scheduled them to come out for lawn treatment and bug treatment. Both technicians were on time, sprayed all around the home as expected, and were very efficient. They answered all our questions, had proper ID on them and tookProper Covid precautions. We ultimately signed an annual contract. The prices were also very competitive. Thank you!

I have used Hughes exterminators for several years and have not had any incidents since the first year when they took care of the problems I had with insects and rodents when I first moved in. The company is easy to work with and very professional. I do recommend them.

Im not sure what he sprays for, but whatever it is, we dont have bugs. He sprays the outside versus inside because of our cat.

This company is Awesome! I filled out the contact us section over the weekend and received a call from Gail this morning (Phenomenal & sweet employee). Mike showed up early for the service and went above and beyond. He was full of knowledgeable information and was willing to listen and provide pointers. These two employee are model employees for the company. So glad I choose Hughes for my Ghost Ant problem.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We have been with Hughes for over a year now and had an AMAZING technician named David. He was friendly, professional, on time and reliable. He was the ONLY reason we kept the service because EVERY TIME we call we end up talking to a very argumentative receptionist. A few months back we were going to call to reschedule because my mother had an awful headache and did not want anyone in the house, the receptionist tells us Oh, we are not treating the interior of any homes because of Corona, could the technician just treat the exterior as thats how most home invasions are prevented anyway My mom made it clear she DID NOT want to pay the full amount because we were not getting the full service and she was assured she could pay half. Well, surprise surprise guess who kept on and on about paying for the full service and then claimed we did not want the interior treated when it was THEM WHO DID NOT WANT TO COME INSIDE.They were the ones that said they would ONLY COME IN IF you had an invasion. It has been a non stop battle about them demanding to pay for the other half of the service we never received. Finally, we got it sorted out and had an appointment with Scott and we got our home ready (by moving furniture so he can spray along the floor edges) and he never came. That was the final straw so when we said we would quit she just said Okay, have a nice day and did not even care. They probably get enough business anyway and wont care but we have had nothing but issues with this company and the only reason we stayed is no longer around anymore.EDIT: NO ONE HAS FOLLOWED UP

They have been wonderful. However, their billing department doesnt understand that they need to bill the homeowner not the tenant.

We had Hughes come out in Dec. 2018 before we bought our home so we never met with them but our realtor did. They came out and took care of a rat problem in the attic. Roll forward to Dec. 2019 and we were having issues with rats in the attic. Scott, from Hughes, came out and found access holes in the outside of the house that needed to be plugged. He set traps and came back 4 times in the next week to check everything and plug up the holes. He was very thorough. Also, a very funny guy. Made us laugh. We renewed the service with Hughes at $195 for the year. Well worth the money for the time Scott spent monitoring the traps and plugging the access holes. One rat was caught in the traps. We highly recommend Scott and Hughes exterminators.

Great company. They are always receptive to my comments and concerns. They have taken care of our home in Florida since 2014. Theit staff, weather in the field or at their office, are always extremely courteous and willing to adjust my services to accommodate my schedule. Special “high five” to their Tech names Tray!

So we paid $950 for a year and they come and put termite bait stations around your property. We were told they would drill into the concrete to apply the pesticide, this did not happen . After the first year you get a bill for $275 which does not state how many months this covers. Now what was not made clear is that you are renting the bait stations from Hughes, if you do not renew they send a technician to remove the bait stations from your property. Way to go on 5 star folks.

It’s been over a year and I open garage door last night and saw 3 huge roaches!!!! I didn’t have roaches when I bought house and now I do!!!!! Not a happy customer so I’ll look elsewhere.

David is my preferred technician. Hes highly professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The company re-assigned my house to another technician a few years ago and I was truly disappointed. After two treatments, I called and requested that I was reassigned to David. His standard of work should be the standard across the company.

For some reason Palmetto bugs were invading my house. Hughes bug spray needed to be more concentrated inside and outside the house to stop these roaches. I am still seeing them but they are usually dying or have died. Ants seen in the kitchen where sent packing by the technician applying ant bait and spraying into the access point..

Weve used Hughes since 2007, continuing service originally set up by the original owners of our home. Ive had very few insect problems, and Hughes has always been prompt in addressing those few. The technicians are courteous and careful around our pets.

We have had David for years servicing our 3 properties. We had become close friends with him, especially my husband. We can’t believe he’s gone and miss and think of him often. Words can’t express how sorry we are. R.I.P. David.

Hughes has been so helpful getting us service in a hurry before we had to go out of town. Their office staff is friendly, and so was our technician. He was knowledgable, took his time to explain things to me, and looked carefully for all possible problem areas to treat before he left.

Every person that provided service to us was extremely professional and willing to take the time to explain the service being provided. I felt extremely comfortable with everyone that I came in contact with. We had our insulation updated and our garage was swept and vacuumed upon completion of the job. It was far cleaner than before the job was started. We are new to Florida and I feel they have our best interest in mind......I never felt “sold”. They clearly have taken great care to train their staff in the art of professionalism.

Really not honest. I asked if they terminate rodent and cockroach they said yes. Then they went to my house and gave me a different quote for the rodent. I asked the quoting for everything. It is in the contract that they include mice. But now they are trying to say not all rodent just mice. Etc. Now you tell me that after everything was paid for.

The manager (Steve Bolden) at the Port Charlotte Branch always follows through on his promises. If there is a problem with insects or any other problem area covered by the service program he responds immediately and if asked to do so he inspects the problem himself and agrees (and oversees) a resolution. All so very rare in South West Florida......very important when managing your property from 5000 miles away.He refers to me as a squeaky wheel.....keep wheels serviced and they will not squeak. I have been called nicer names.....but it works for me!

Left word with clueless receptionist to have a supervisor contact me regarding pest control systems built into my home (I am a customer). Never heard back from anyone. In this companys defense, we have a great technician (Manny) who takes care of us.

Great service from our technician, David Lopez. Is always there when scheduled. If were out of state, he calls to let us know how his inspection went. He even checked out our home after Hurricane Irma and let us know the house looked undamaged. The office staff is always friendly and helpful, as well.

Employee (Manny) is friendly but professional. Appointment time is an exact time, not 8-12 or 1-5, so my whole morning or afternoon is not wasted waiting for someone to come. Finally he tells me that if I see any bugs before my next visit to call and he will be back to spray again at NO charge. The fact the same employee comes every time is also a plus.

Supposedly has someone to put application down. They said there was no one home to sign that they did it even though I was home at the time they sprayed, yet I saw no one. Now less than a month later I have the same issues that I paid them to fix. This is the second time out of the two times they were supposed to do my yard. They only spray every 3 months, yet they charge for every month. Very disappointed in this company. It seems very unusual that others say they have good service and I and a couple of other have very negative issues.
